Un hermoso lugar con vista espectacular hacia Santiago Tuxtla, Ver Su ubicación es entre Santiago y San Andrés Tuxtla, Ver, muy buena comida, la carne de chango que en realidad es carne de cerdo ahí mismo la ahuman, tortillas hechas mano, muy buen queso y los langostinos (camarón grande de río) en caldo, plátano macho frito con crema, todo exquisito, se los recomiento

El mejor lugar para comer carne de chango (costilla y filete ahumado de cerdo), lo recomiendo si pudiera comer ahí una vez por semana lo haría sin problema

The place par excellence when passing by the Gulf Highway. I've been going to this place since I was a child and it's always a delight, the seasoning is always the same, there are only 2 dishes and it's enough although it makes me nostalgic that it's empty when I remember that there was even a bar for drinks, always full, that sometimes there wasn't even a place to park, and now you go and basically you're alone.

Quieres probar platillos típicos de la zona, te recomiendo el amate, agradable y limpio el lugar, buena atención, si vas por el rumbo de los Tuxtlas, Veracruz te lo recomiendo.

I went with my family, driven by nostalgia, as we used to stop for lunch whenever we headed north to Veracruz. The food is still very good, but the service is lacking. The place looks a bit neglected. But if you're passing by, don't hesitate to stop. We did have to go out of our way for several kilometers to get there, but we didn't regret it, as the food is still excellent. I hope they pay more attention to this place; it would be a shame if it continued to decline.

It offers regional cuisine with a delicious, traditional touch. Its menu is limited to a few items, something out of the ordinary. If you're looking for typical restaurant fare, this isn't the place for you. However, if you're looking for something more home-style, I invite you to try any of their dishes. I assure you, you'll enjoy them.

The food was expensive and bland, I won't be back. They serve the meat without any sides, just the meat as is. They offer beans, and they're for everyone. The only redeeming feature was that the tortillas were warm.

The Amate restaurant—the amate tree fell, and the restaurant fell too. The food isn't what it used to be. They only have one brand of bottled soda; they don't have bottled water. The only things that still taste good are the handmade, pinched tortillas and the beans.

The place is spacious, but the food leaves much to be desired in terms of quality and price. I don't recommend it; it's very expensive for what they serve, and they don't even have a menu to see what to order or drink. There's not much to choose from; it's not what it used to be.

A place with years of tradition, the menu is very limited, the service is somewhat slow depending on the number of diners and the waiters are somewhat surly, the prices are somewhat high but the food is very delicious, I recommend the pinched ones and the chinameca. It certainly lacks modernization but other than that it is a quiet environment. They still sell alcoholic beverages.

Los frijoles y tortillas muy ricas, pedí una barbacoa y solo pude obtener 2 tacos (nada de carne) la pechuga y carne ahumada está pasable.

Ya no es lo que era antes, la comida está bien pero 160 un platillo que debería costar máximo 80, no dan carta, con pocas opciones de compra.

Tristemente la comida seca, frijoles super rebajados y la atención deficiente. Nada que ver con el servicio de hace unos años

No hay variedad, solo son como 4 o 6 Platillos, el lugar no es lo que esperaba, parece más bien una fonda

Sunday, March 9, 2025. They don't have a menu. To be honest, we found it expensive: 200 for the main course, 40 for a soft drink, and 50 for a coffee. The restaurant was empty, yet they charge like luxury restaurants; perhaps that's why they're so quiet. Based on my experience, I won't be returning and I don't recommend it. They hand out the bill on a tiny piece of paper, which, instead of attracting tourists, scares them away.

I ignored the reviews, and I regretted going. This place is downright depressing. The food isn't bad, but it's nothing you can't find elsewhere. The service is incredibly rude, they practically throw things at you, they don't accept cards, and the bathrooms are in terrible condition. I don't understand how this place hasn't been shut down...

The food is delicious, although a bit pricey. It would be worth it if the service from the women who work there were better; there are only one or two of them, and it's slow. I wanted to eat more, but just thinking about the looks the staff would give me—not so much the slow service, but the looks they'd give me—put me off. :(

Tristemente es un lugar olvidado, por ende descuidados los sanitarios, comida EXCESIVAMENTE CARA y porciones DIMINUTAS, aunque las señoras que atienden son amables

Mal servicio, no hay carta la cecina super dura y cuando te dan la cuenta muy cara y sin explicacion.

No es recomendable, no muestran los precios al público y al llegar la cuenta súper elevados los precios, además no hay agua de sabor natural solo refresco

Very expensive, poor service and terrible food, the dishes they offer are totally simple. I ordered smoked cecina and as it is, they don't give you anything else other than that, they don't accompany it with anything. My partner ordered smoked chicken breast and it was super tough and raw. I called the waitress and they did nothing to fix it. I do not recommend this place at all.

A huge NO! Terrible service from the staff. They don't have a menu. When you ask what they have, they don't even know what each dish contains. The food is terrible, and for the tasteless service they offer, it's way too expensive!

This place is incredibly expensive; they only have a few dishes, and I absolutely do not recommend it. The meat was frozen, and it's a terrible restaurant. You're better off finding somewhere else to eat, unless you're willing to spend a lot of money. Soup and water are extra.
