Potiwa Pizza: An Unforgettable Late-Night Delight! 🍕 I had a wonderful experience at Potiwa Pizza, even at the last minute! I walked in around 11 PM in my pajamas, hoping to grab a quick bite for my son and me. The menu was so enticing that I had trouble picking just one item—everything looked delicious! Despite arriving late, the manager was incredibly accommodating, offering to have the cook stay behind to make our pizza. I felt bad and decided to come back the next day, which was Sunday. I sent my friend to pick up a herring pizza, and it was absolutely heaven-sent! The flavors were incredible, and it made me break my New Year's resolution to lose weight—but it was totally worth it! Potiwa Pizza has a fantastic menu with a lot of choices. Highly recommended for anyone craving a unique and delightful pizza experience, especially if you’re into Haitian cuisine.

Don't walk....run and order a pizza from here. I wanted to give a well-rounded opinion, so I purchased and sampled 4 different pizzas. All were delicious and had fresh ingredients. My order was large, but it still came out timely. The oxtail, conch, and griot pizza were the standouts. I also ordered a pepperoni for review sakes, and it was pretty good, but standard compared to the rest. Overall, the food was a 10 of 10, and there isn't much to say about the experience since we didn't eat in. The staff are polite but not particularly engaging. I will be back the next time I visit the city.

The staff was very kind, and were very hospitable. My dad had heard of their shops in Haiti, Miami, and now Brooklyn and was interested in trying their pizzas. The atmosphere in the store was very welcoming and if we had decided to dine in there was plenty of seating available. The prices were reasonable, and we ordered an oxtail and a lambi/conch pizzas. Both pizzas were delicious, well seasoned, and well presented.

The only service I received was from the cashier, who had a less-than-stellar attitude but was not rude and was very patient. It might have been a busy day for her, so I understand. I initially considered ordering the pâté and tacos but, due to some negative reviews, decided to go with the Pitiwo seafood medium. My child, who isn’t a fan of meat or seafood, said the toppings were delicious, especially the veggies. Haitian cuisine is known for its great seasoning, so I was pleased with how well it was done. However, I spent $32 and felt that there should have been a bit more seafood, as it seemed to be mostly onions and bell peppers. Next time, I'll opt for the meat option. The pizza tasted good overall, so I’m willing to overlook this. The crust isn’t a typical thin or thick crust like NYC pizza shops, Papa John’s or Domino's; it has more of a naan bread texture. The cheese is a mix, different from the usual mozzarella, and has additional seasoning due to its Haitian influence. Despite the mixed reviews, I recommend trying it at least once. Consider getting a slice, a taco, and a pâté, which will cost around $24 and give you a taste of everything to help you decide if it's a place you'd enjoy.

Be prepared to wait at least an hour. Griot pizza was alright. Herring one was delicious! Even the small is a good portion - prices felt reasonable. Unfortunately during our visit, the AC seemed to not be functioning so it is a little warm in there. The staff was very friendly and kind nonetheless.

It's definitely not worth the hype. It's a little pricey. The food was alright. My husband and I got oxtail tacos; very disappointing on the size of the tacos for the price we paid 😑. The only pizza flavors that we thought were ok were morrue and Aranso. It just needs more flavors.

I'm sorry, don't believe the hype. I'm extremely disappointed. Where do I start.... I ordered a small Oxtail pizza. It cost 20 something. Yes, 20 something. Honestly, because it's Oxtail, i understand as a Caterer myself, but because this was a haitian establishment, I was expecting flavor and spicy. It was not at all what I got it would be. No spice and it was lacking seasoning, and it was cheesy but not like that melting pizza cheesy style. I even asked to put the pikliz on it, and instead, I got this little container of pikliz, which had more flavor than the pizza. All this to say for the price they are charging and the video hypes. This was not it. Don't think I'll be back.

I got the Potiwa mix thinking their signature pizza would have to be the best one but it was disappointing from the very first bite. The cheese is overwhelming, the toppings had little taste, and the bread/crust was soft and thin. I was upset that I spent so much for it to be this bad I was hoping to at least eat 2 slices but I couldn’t even make myself do that. Such a waste.

All I can say is the atmosphere is cute .. live music was played however, the food was very mediocre. Mac and cheese super dry. Chicken wings (no sel). Rice was terrible

i am in disbelief that my pizza came like this. I have been reading all of these reviews about how the pizza is so good and i am honestly very upset that i even wasted my money on this.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. I don’t normally write reviews but the cashier was beyond rude when it was my first time at this establishment, and I was actually excited to try it and support. I had to walk out because it was frustrating trying to figure out how they sold their pizza, again never been there. I hope your customer service improves, so that other customers don’t have this experience. Also a visible menu by the cashier would be helpful too. I will not be coming here again.

I'm not sure if the rave reviews are paid or of close family/friends, but in my experience this place is not it. The food did not meet my family’s or my expectations. We ordered two pies: the pork pizza and the pork and lobster pie. The crust was stale and hard and the toppings were inedible. My mom and husband (who’s a foodie) had the herring patties and didn't enjoy it either. I even saved a couple of slices for the next day, hoping they would somehow improve, but that didn't help. I don’t think I will be back to give this place another try.
