We had gone to another restaurant and after about 10 minutes of no one even acknowledging us, we left. That was the best thing that could have happened because we went to EL ZAGUAN RESTAURANT instead! Perfect 10 all around. I had the shrimp asopao....packed with flavor. My friend had steal wirh flavor. Nelson , our waiter could not havd been micer. He was excellent and paid attention to detail....and even asked our names and was just an excellent waiter. El Zaguan is a place i will be going back to whenever I pass through La Vega.

This is an amazing restaurant in La Vega. The food taste so delicious and it’s a good restaurant for the people that love Mofongo. The restaurant is very nice inside and outside. The owners and waiters of the restaurant are really nice and the prices for the food is pretty good.

The best Chofan I have ever eaten. And, the appetizer with the fried green plantains top with Baccala or Codfish is TO DIE FOR! Enjoy.

Stopped here on a road trip. The service was good and friendly. I had the pollo encebollado and my husband had the pollo pechurina. Both very good.

This is a consistently great place for either lunch or dinner. There is seating indoor in an air conditioned room and outdoor under an open air roof. The food is traditional Dominican cuisine with European touches and is quite delicious. The owners are always present and the staff are attentive and courteous.

Good Dominican food, good selection of wines.
Great place. Nice location with good parking in the lot. There is a good variety of food and also the prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly, just a little bit slow. My family and a friend's family went there for dinner and it was basically empty (between 7:30 to 8:50pm). Just wondering why...

The food was great, some of them colder than the other but flavour was great. But the place needs maintenance, some part are almost falling off or rotten. And needs some background music or something.
Casual dinning, they serve typical Dominican food but they also have some non Dominican entrees on their menu. Overall the restaurant has a relaxing and cozy ambiance and the food is very good, at least what we ordered was excellent. Great place to go for a non formal dining experience.

A shame, Everytime we visit La Vega we always stop by. Used to be tops for mofongo, but not anymore. Service is still top notch, and ambiance is perfect for a quick clean upscale getaway, but food is slipping.
Overpriced, & the food was ok jad the chivo & the mofongo. Nothing impressive about it 🤷
This restaurant was just ok. The food wasn't very good nor was it traditional. I ordered Alfredo and it came with red peppers in it, someone else ordered crab mofongo and it didn't taste well at all. The service and atmosphere were good. Just need to improve the food.

Rice looked like it was warmed up and the red beans came to the table cold, chicken was tasty but it was to dry like it was rewarmed.

Terrible service. The waiter dumped chinola juice all over me and barely said he was sorry. They offered us compensation for their clumsiness. Worst experience ever. I will never go back there and will warn all my friends not to go there as well
