Reading some of the more negative experiences people have had at La Flor De Mi Viña was a surprise, having had two very good breakfasts here when we visited Seville recently. We'd stayed at a nearby hotel on Calle Rioja, and had noticed a large group of locals having their breakfasts here on our first morning - and so visited the following two mornings to sample things ourselves, and we really enjoyed our breakfasts. The bar is split over two sides of the street, and we went into the 'bar' side, and we're promptly seen to by one of the waiters - I'd suggest going here if you can as it's more atmospheric and also more in sight of staff. As others have mentioned they don't speak a huge amount of English, but fortunately I have some (limited) Spanish so this was not an issue. We had x2 coffees with milk, a tostada (yep, it's basically toast!) with butter and various jams, and a tostada with freshly sliced jamón from behind the bar. As the photo shows, this was a very reasonable €11.40. The coffees were nice and it was 'proper' milk rather than uht milk (which seems more common on the continent), but the highlight was the jamón tostada. The ham had been freshly sliced from the leg of ham behind the bar, and tasted amazing - it was placed on toasted bread and with olive oil. Genuinely a lovely breakfast meal and set us up well for the day. They also do a jamón and tomato version too, which we had the following day, also fab, which costs a little bit more. A range of juices were also available, and again the following day we had orange juice as well as our coffees (the overall cost that day was €17). When we visited both mornings, there were clearly some locals/regulars there, and the service we found to be attentive - when looking to pay, we had to make ourselves a bit more known, but that's common at tapas bars here. Don't be afraid to make yourself visible when after something from a waiter! They accepted payment by card. As mentioned, I'm surprised at the experiences others have had. We had visited out of season (January) and at a breakfast rather than busier dinner service, where we seemed to be the only non-locals; we also didn't order anything 'off menu'. As mentioned I do also have some basic Spanish so was able to communicate with staff fairly well, so we didn't have any of those negative experiences others have mentioned. As such, I'd highly recommend, if you're in central Seville and after a breakfast option - set yourself up by the bar, order a coffe or orange juice, and get a nice jamón tostada!
Excellent place. Super choice and top waiters. Real tapas ambiance.
Great restaurant with very well made authentic food. Very fresh fish, sober and original atmosphere, very enthusiastic personnel and mainly local clients. All ingrediënts for a top experience. Recommended!
Loved it. I ran into this place accidentally, just looking for a drink. The waiter suggested a couple of tapas. Everything was so fresh it was almost emotional. The best moment was when I ordered a fried squid. 10 seconds later I saw the fresh squid being carried from one area to the other. Another couple of minutes and the perfect dish was in front of me. Similarly happened for everything we ordered. Everything was freshly made and very tasty (loved the braised cheeks - carrillada). Strongly advised for a more authentic experience.
Delicious Tapas dishes and fair prices! A very crowded place specially with local sevillan employees! Totally recommended
The food is superb. Very traditional and the waiters very friendly very few other tourists and buzzing with locals enjoying lunch

This is a mixed review. First, be careful to know the price if you order off menu. The prawns were delicious but 12 medium prawns for 30 EUR is beyond taking advantage. Especially for a local Spanish bar. After we complained we offered to pay $20 and he accepted it. so kudos for accepting our complaint and adjusting. Separately, the carrillada (on menu) was fantastic, very tender and well worth 5 EUR. In fact, while the sauce was meh I'll admit that this meat was the best I've ever had of its type. In sum, the food was amazing and their response to our complaint was encouraging. We will return but we won't order off menu without knowing the price.
More of a classic bar/ tapas bar. Waiters spoke little English but made an effort to explain what was fresh that day. He recommended the calamari and let us know that it came with potato fries. Also recommended for us to order a melva salad too. The food was good, calamari was simple but one of the best I’ve had. Overall pretty good experience, only disappointment really was that my beer glass was chipped.
The food here is nice but beware when ordering the waiters recommendations if your on a budget they were very pricey compared to the rest of the dishes ordered from the menu it was fine with us but…

The thing is that I heard about this place past week and now that I had my day off I decided to get in and see how good is........ what do I have to lose? I've ordered 2 tapas (Melva salad & Red peppers with Melva) and a normal plate (Pork meatballs) and I have to say that meal itself was absolutely delicious, everything was made so well done that It worth it from the first plate to the last one. I had my doubts about choosing solomillo or meatballs but I asked for the last one and Man....... were some of the best meatballs I've ever had in my life. From the other hand, the service was TERRIBLE, uncomfortable and disappointing. The waiter was seeing everyone the whole time which tend to be annoying, he took my plate even when I didn't finish yet and gave me more "regañas" when I didn't ask for them (just to making me pay more). Everyone had 0 level of english, def nobody had a clue from any word I was saying, simply pathetic, they neither made the try to understand, that can not be!!!!
Some nice dishes, some dishes were a bit overcooked. The squid was good though. There are better places nearby
We sat in the bar area amd had 2 cana. Not very friendly service and very untidy, mop bucket and sweeping brush in the corner, cloths on the counter. 4.40 euros for 2 small beers seems expensive compared to other places...especially as it didnt get entered in the till. Wonder if they charged us right.
Overall unsatisfying food. The Solomillo was dried and unflavoured, and in general all the tapas we took were nothing special (and all too oily). Only good point, the staff was friendly. Compared to all the other taperias/restaurants we tried in Sevilla, this one was definitely the worst
Resumen no volvería
I waited at my table for over 20 minutes without being acknowledged. Despite trying to get the waiter’s attention, I wasn’t offered a menu or approached at all. I eventually had to ask directly just to be served. It felt like I was being completely ignored, which made for a very disappointing experience
One portion of calamari one portion of shrimps , one beer and a vermouth 55 euro . If this is not robbing what is ? For eating in the street with full of garbages around
It s the first time i ve been in a tourist trap and i ve travelled the world. Quite an unpleasant experience. When waiters suggest you to ask for things that aren’t in the menu, they ll charge arbitrary prices for them
Worst place in Sevilla. Don't go here!! Found a dead cockroach in the women's bathroom and another one in the napkin holder. Absolutely disgusting! Also, the waiter recommended us a dish which was not on the menu; turned out to be crazy expensive. Incredible rude in my opinion.
Don't eat here during the "holy" week. None of the menu items are available. A medium plate of fried calamari will set you back 27 euro, or 3+ euros per ring. Food is so so. But being ripped off is not good.
