It was the first restaurant in Spain and I couldn’t find any where better next two weeks. All dishes were well prepared and served, tasted just right and you can’t stop yourself wishing for more. Pulpo was really something, and I thought all spanish Pulpo dishes would be like this but I could never find anything like this. Maybe I have one more reason to visit Seville again. Thank you for these joyful dishes and your restaurant made our journey more memorable. The whole restaurant gave us a warm welcome even in a busy time, and we all are touched by it.
everything superlative. excellent service. all dishes have tastes that you will remember for sure. all the dishes tried were beyond expectations. i recommend: red prawn croquettes, national beef tartare, garlic shrimp gazpachuelo - absolutely insane -; marinated roast iberian pork, deconstruction of cheese cake and the green apple cinnamon and apple mousse. but i am convinced that the other dishes also deserve all the attention. congratulations for everything you do!
If I could give more stars I would. A beautiful atmosphere, greeted in the most friendly and inviting manner upon entry. We were assisted by three staff, each extremely professional. We were served bread, which went well with the a delicious olive oil. We had a nice cheese plate as a sharable appetizer. My wife had a delicious salad, and I had grilled sea bass. After presenting the whole grilled sea bass the waiter prepared it by deboning and plating it. The food was very good - one of the top, if not the top meals in Spain.
Alright sports fans, are you a tourist wondering if you should eat here? Do you frequently look at Google reviews and wonder who this person is and whether you can trust their palette? Do you wonder, when looking at Google reviews of say, a seafood restaurant, is this person from Des Moines or New Orleans? Are you perplexed that someone who has enough money to fly around the world and eat here doesn’t know how to use paragraphs in their review? Look no further. I am a pasty corn-fed white boy from Chicago and my wife is a not quite as pasty woman from China. We are both working professionals and enjoy all types of food from cheap taquerias to expensive tasting menus. If you are also from Chicago and wonder if you can trust this review, here is a taste: - Monteverde, S.K.Y, Tesfa, Aba, and Kie Gol Lanee are some favorites in our rotation - Big star, Au Chaval, Next, and Little Goat are over rated but decent. We mostly agree on restaurant reviews, but not on this one. Overall: Pasty White Boy Rating: 5/5 Chinese Woman Rating: 4/5 We had 4 dishes, a dessert, 2 glasses of wine, and some sparkling water. Our bill was about 76 euro but they may have forgotten to add our wine. Don’t worry, we’ll pay it forward like Haley Joel. The first rating of each dish is from the white boy: Russian Salad with Red Tuna Tartare: 3/5 and 2/5 If you’re uncultured swine like myself, you might not know what “Russian Salad” is. Your mind might take you to beets, or perhaps cabbage. But for you fellow Americans, don’t worry, it’s just potato salad. Not poe-tay-toe salad, but puh-tay-duh salad. Being the good midwestern boy I am who never lets good puhtayduh salad go to waste, I gladly inhaled all of this like Kirby. But it wasn’t on par with the rest of the dishes. Beef Tartare: 4/5 and 3/5 We both agreed this was not the best beef tartare we’ve ever had. My wife, as Chinese are often doing, said it was too sweet. I still gladly inhaled all of it. Garlic Shrimp 5/5 and 4/5 As you can see, we’re on the right trajectory! When the waiter put the garlic shrimp down in front of us my taste buds were at attention. Huge chunks of garlic, perfectly cooked shrimp, and some bread that looked like gourmet Texas toast. I almost screamed in horror when the waiter begun pouring the “gazpachuelo” sauce over the dish. It looked like some sort of ketchup-mayo concoction and I was terrified that this was turning into an Olive Garden experiment gone wrong. But don’t worry, it ended up being delicious and we cleaned the entire bowl. I finally had to fight my wife over who got to inhale what. Leg of Lamb: 5/5 and 5/5 No sarcasm, this was amazing and highly recommended. Lamb fell off the bone and we dipped it all up in that delicious jus that came with it. Tasted like home, just like getting my beef dipped. Deconstructed Cheesecake: 4/5 and 2/5 We both agreed this was not in any way cheesecake. I enjoyed this but would say it was closer to an ice cream cookie dough flavor. But it had these little cookies on top that taste like the ring shaped butter cookies that Salerno sells in the blue box which I love. Chinese wife surprisingly said it was not too sweet, but still didn’t like it. Wine: It was red, started with an S, and not too sweet. I ain’t a Somali. Overall: We both agreed for 76 euro we absolutely got our money’s worth. I would go back, my wife said she probably wouldn’t. If this restaurant was in Chicago, this meal would have been close to $200 I’d say, and would probably prevent me from going back. But if you love a good international currency and cost of living adjustment arbitrage, this is the place for you. Is this authentic Spanish cuisine? Dude, I told you I’m from Chicago. Don’t listen to me. We showed up on a Wednesday night shortly before open and were unable to get a table. However, they were easily able to book us table for the next day. If you want to eat dinner, I suggest strolling by during lunch. Staff were friendly and seemed to speak English well but I know enough Spanish to make a reservation and order food and wine.
Going ny thw name didnt expect much but paid arttention to the reviews so we came in. When we came in, we thought we might have been in the wrong place, seemed too nice but we were hungry. Service was good, fast and we got recommendations from the server. My wife followed his recommendation and ordered Lubina. So tender and delicious, I asked for condiments and they said we used nothing on it, just natural flavour and freshness. Not in the middle of everything in Sevilla but worth looking for it. Well done El Traga! (should have asked about the name)
My wife and I ate here for dinner at 8:30 PM on a weekday and we did not have to wait for a seat. This restaurant was recommended online as well as by our hotel, and we are very glad that we went here because it was one of our best meals in Sevilla. This restaurant leans toward fine dining, but it does not feel pretentious and the service was very kind and helpful to us as we were trying to understand the menu. There were also other families with older kids dining there and they were treated well too. We ordered the grilled octopus with black rice, Russian salad with tuna tartar, sea bass and a (special of the day) strawberry and beet sorbet. We also had their soda wine and a orange sherry. This cost us around $70 USD and we felt it was very worth the cost. The highlights for us were the octopus and sorbet. The octopus was extremely tender and flavorful, and we enjoyed the two different sauces they included (one was a kimchi reduction and the other was more Herby). The Russian salad was also the best we had while in Sevilla, and this was also evident by another couple we saw who both only ordered the large portion of Russian salad as their entire meal (no judgement from us because it was good).
We had an amazing dinner at El Traga for my birthday. Everything was delicious from start to finish — the jamón ibérico, the veal tartare, the grilled octopus (so tender!), and the beef rib were all perfectly prepared. I was full, but still couldn’t stop eating their deconstructed cheesecake — absolutely divine. The service was warm and attentive, and the whole experience felt special. A fantastic spot in Seville!
Red prawn tartare must try! Price on the higher end but quality is good. The only thing was that we ordered the bread they served without the olive oil, but all others tables got the olive oil with the bread. Come early or book ahead. Some of the walk-in were advised to wait for the second round at around 9.30-9.45.
We ordered the octopus dish and the Iberico pork dish. Personally, pork dish was better. We came here after seeing good reviews about this restaurant, so we had high expectations for the food. Despite that, the dishes were great, and I understood why this place is so popular among Koreans. If you're from another country, their food will likely suit your taste.
Dined here on a Sunday evening in January. Very friendly service and excellent food. Particularly enjoyed the arroz a banda with king prawns.

This place exceeded our expectations in Sevilla. The service was top notch and the food was good. We had the steak and lamb and both were good. I would definitely eat here again.

Had a lovely meal, staff were excellent and very helpful in choosing dishes. Definitely worth a visit and we thought it was excellent value for money for the quality of the dishes.
Buenas cantidades y precio comedido.
An authentic upscale Spanish dinner. We really liked the duck rice. It was satisfying dinner. I wish Google allowed to rate 4.5 Stars but if force to choose a 4 or 5 I would have to go with 4 as it was not quite a 5 for overall tastiness - especially for a somewhat pricer restaurant in Seville.
An idea of the restaurant is amazing, we ordered the table for 8 persons and everything was organized very well. Wines served in correct manner with even Riedel glasses. Dishes were delicious, steak was cooked for medium rare state and literally melted in mouth. The only nuance is a price for drinks. We had the most expensive ever jerez wine per glass (10 EUR in opposite to 4-6 EUR in other restaurants and cafes). I think it’s too much for the glass of wine even for jerez.
What an amazing culinary experience. Super unique takes on Spanish cuisine and overall great service. Was here on a random night, we tried a few places but they were all booked. This place had one spot and we took it immediately. It was raining a bit but not too much. Got seated. We sat on these high stools and they were pretty uncomfortable. I kept feeling like I was sliding off. I got a somewhat large bottom, not because I’m large but because I hit legs and play soccer/football. The chair did not really support my bottom if you know what I’m saying, the surface was too small. Besides that the device was great and the food was amazing. The shrimp with some buttery sauce was heavenly. Not sure what sauce it was but it was so buttery and flavorful, it was amazing, life changing some may even say. My Beli gave it a 8.8 and I think I’ll give around the same. Amazing spot with some super unique dishes.

We stopped by this restaurant for lunch without a reservation. We were seated but told we only had an hour, which we accepted. We were eager to try their famous Chestnut Duck Rice, and it truly lived up to its reputation – the flavor was outstanding! However, the long preparation time for the duck rice (nearly 40 minutes) meant we were under immense pressure to finish once it was served. The service then became quite disappointing. The server hastily mixed the rice, spilling grains onto our table, and rudely hurried us to eat. This aggressive and unwelcoming attitude completely ruined our enjoyment of an otherwise excellent dish. While the food is undoubtedly a highlight, the poor service made for a very unpleasant and rushed dining experience.
