I love this place. Definitely my new favorite! There are so many options it's hard to choose, but that's a good thing! My 12 year old son wanted to go here for his birthday. The staff definitely made his birthday memorable! Many thanks!

Great sushi spot!!! We miss the all-you-can-eat!!! Bring it back! But, they do 1/2 price mostly- although it is still a bit pricey, it is high quality sushi. Very unique and flavorful options!

Absolutely loved our experience at Hikari. We saw several glowing reviews, and were excited to try their All-You-Can-Eat sushi. We were disappointed at first arriving at the restaurant to signs saying their AYCE was suspended due to COVID, but then we saw they were offering 50% off all their rolls to compensate. This allowed us to order a total of 6 rolls for the price of a typical AYCE, and it was definitely all we could eat haha. Every roll was delicious, and they have an extensive menu with lots of variety for every kind of sushi lover. We'll definitely be returning again at some point!

This delicious sushi spot had me begging for more. First things first, it was busy, so I expected a 35 minute wait just to be seated. To my surprise we got seated in 15. Honestly had plenty of time to check out the menu before heading in. Sat down and loved the safety precautions they made. Plexy glass up between tables but still had great atmosphere. The two rolls I had, I can not remember for the life of me what they were called, but with the pictures I'm goin to drop with this review it worth every minute of wait. Every flavor was perfect! Every bite was a new adventure! Go and Be Amazed!

First time. Great portions, staff were very polite, quick service, all you can eat option. Be ready to grub because you can select multiple items and the table will be full within minutes of order. Go with a full appetite!!

A solid sushi option here in Simi. I’ve come here a number of times either with friends, by myself, or ordered to-go. The inside of this place is honestly gorgeous. The only thing that is less than impressive is their “50% off” prices. It’s not really half off, the real price is the “discount”. I get why they do it, but I’m not a fan. Other than that, pretty good food and service. I love getting their baked crawfish (or scallop) roll and the spicy tuna crispy rice. Back in the day when they had AYCE sushi, I loved getting their yellow tail nigiri, basically melts in your mouth. I haven’t gotten it since they took AYCE off the menu, but I’m sure the fish is still great.

Great selection of sushi on the menu. If you feel like pigging out, all you can eat is the way to go. Parking is easy, it may get busy at night but this is a good thing!

This is my favorite sushi place in simi valley. The food is so good and fresh. The service is also great…however this time that I went I heard one of the servers Vanessa talk bad about us to the sushi chefs in Spanish literally in front of us, very loudly. Luckily I’m fluent in Spanish so I understood everything that was said. I understand it was a little past closing but we still had food (mind you we already paid) that we were trying to finish and that’s when she started saying “why are they still here” and “I have things to do”. I work at a restaurant so I understand and so I was being really polite and nice the entire time. It honestly left a bad taste in my mouth and was pretty rude. We were having a good night until that happened.

Took my daughter to lunch today here it wasn’t crowded at all just a few tables with people. We ordered two sushi rolls they brought out my daughters which tasted like crap and not fresh at all. We were still waiting on a one more sushi roll after about 10 minutes I asked the lady what was going on she said it’s comes from the kitchen okay no problem 10 more minutes goes by still nothing then gave another excuse why it wasn’t out instead of saying you guys messed up and didn’t make it which it can’t imagine why it wasn’t crowded at all. This is the third time in a row that they forgot a roll. Probably a good thing it didn’t come out since my daughters wasn’t good at all and she didn’t eat half of because she said it taste nasty and the salmon was gross. Never will I step foot into that place again.

Disappointed, recently moved to the area and tried this place out. When you sit at the sushi bar you can not order with the sushi chef, already not traditional and I found their service staff, some to be rude and made me feel very uncomfortable just trying to order food id like which is super weird. I will say one of the servers was really professional and nice an Indian young was helpful. helpful. I might give this place a second chance but I doubt it weird vibes here food wasn't anything special for the prices their charging. If I go back for a second chance I will update review accordingly

We are a huge fans of this restaurant. Their food is great. I am only putting 1 star because of the service we encountered today. The waitress knocked over my soda and it spilled on my sushi. The sushi had just been delivered to our table and we hadn’t yet touched it. I was not troubled by it, accidents happen. What troubled me is that she didn’t offer to replace the dish. Instead, what she did is grabbed a plate and transferred the soaked sushi in that plate. Worst customer service.

I'm so disappointed in Hikari tonight. We order from here often for pick up and the service has always been sub par but we don't go for the service, we go for the food. I'm highly allergic to avocado so we always make sure to order everything without avocado and I saw the crunch roll and ordered two. It doesn't say anywhere that it has avocado in it so my husband didn't think to say anything, maybe that was on us but if you don't know an ingredient is inside a roll, how can you ask to have it excluded? We normally don't complain and brush it off but tonight decided to say something. $90 isn't cheap no matter how much we order. First phone call we were strictly told that we didn't ask for it without avocado and we were out of luck. Then we checked the menu and called back, they recognized my husbands number and kept ignoring the call. We used my phone and sure enough they answered and we were told they were going to ask the chef about it, after a long hold a woman came on and told us our only option was to bring the rolls back. We live across town and have a 1 year old ready for bed. We asked if there was a note to be made on our account for future and the woman was very rude and told us bringing them back was the only option and no exceptions would be made. This could have been handled so differently especially when you're dealing with an allergy. My husband was polite, at least, as much as he could be. We will definitely be considering elsewhere in the future.
