Best Mexican food in Soledad hands down. Chavelas and tostadas are on point.
The food is outstanding, staff is kind and courteous.
Authentic delicious Mexican food
Great food excellent service good atmosphere!
Best Breakfast Burrito in town IMO. Lived here for 40 yrs. I've eaten at every restaurant in town over the years. Hands down best Breakfast Burrito I've had in town in the last 10yrs. 👍👍
Best home style Mexican restaurant in Soledad. I go here every time I am in town. They will make your plate as you requested. I have made substitutions and they always make it right.
Good Sope
We go and have the breakfasts burrito every Sunday. The staff is VERY FRIENDLY AND THE FOOD IS ATHLETIC AND DELICIOUS! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Best ever authentic and genuine Mexican food, ever. Just passing thru Soledad off 101 on way back to Sac. Highly recommended. Yummy for the tummy.
Beautiful service and food. Family and I stopped by on our way to Bakersfield and were greetes very warmly by staff. The food was amazing. I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE.
Food, atmosphere, service was great . A variety of Mexican dishes, and a quaint place with a beautiful view of the Santa Lucia mountains.
Had breakfast this morning. Fresh tortillas and great food recommend anyone to go there you'll love it
This place has never failed It has a super clean food is always on point
If you're on the hunt for authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine, Palmas is a must-visit. I recently had the pleasure of trying their chicharrón en chile rojo, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The dish brought the perfect balance of spice and flavor—just enough heat to make your taste buds dance without overwhelming them. Every bite was rich and satisfying, showcasing the depth of their traditional red chili sauce. What truly elevated the experience were the handmade flour and corn tortillas. Fresh, warm, and slightly charred, they were the ideal accompaniment to soak up every bit of that delicious sauce. Handmade tortillas are always a win in my book, and Palmas nailed them. The welcoming atmosphere and dedication to authentic flavors make this spot a standout. If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine with a spicy kick, don't miss out on Palmas' chicharrón en chile rojo. It’s a dish worth savoring.
This place is amazing! This is my first time ordering a huarache and I absolutely loved it. The homemade tortillas are delicious. Pictured is a two person mocajete. The staff was really kind and accommodating of food restrictions. Would definitely come back again!

The hand made flower tortillas and la salsa of the molcajete is delicious and spicy 👌🏻
I've never had a bad meal there. EVER. I love the burritos, breaded shrimp platter comes with incredible homemade tortillas, love the taco salads(yes they will combine shrimp, beef and chicken if you ask) and I found a great shrimp cocktail, as good as mine. The staff are fast and friendly! Especially the server (sorry I keep forgetting your name. She works SO hard and always with a smile.
We stopped at Las Palmas for lunch (take-out, of course), having never even heard of it before, and were very glad we did! It's a small little Mexican restaurant with delicious food. I'm from Guadalajara myself and always appreciate some home-made deliciousness. They even make their own tortillas!

Everything was wonderful. Food, service and cost $$
Had the molcajete for three people it was excellent good customer service 9 of us and it was only $90.00
Great food, very consistant and good service.
Could be a bit friendlier to their patrons; however, food is delicious.
Good food! Small mom pops place. Good service. Ridiculously expensive! $17 for 2 chile rellenos? 4 stars on food, 1 stars on value.
Food is good fresh cooked employees not too friendly dont make you feel welcome but I keep going back for the food beetr to order to go
If you like blazing spicy this is your place. Service was fast and food was delicious. Too bad I live so far away, it would be a regular spot.
I had a good experience..food tasted homemade.. friendly service..fast service.. poor review you must lost your taste buds
The good was delicious, the place was spacious, the coffee was hot And tasty and the waitress was very Courteous and attentive. I really enjoyed coming here for lunch with my co-worker. This was a hidden nook & cranny! The best part, believe it or not was how clean And organized the bathroom was. You know what they say, if you want to know the truth about a restaurant’s kitchen, spend time in their bathroom! Loved this place And plan on coming back for sure!
Pros: food is flavorful and decent menu options. Cons: for how many people they had working there, it took forever to get service or refills. Also. It's pricey for what you get: $20 for enchiladas is already bold, but at least fill up the plate.
Always been a big fan of Palmas Restaurant, though over the years the burritos have gotten alot smaller. Still a huge fan of the food regardless.

Actually loved the posole I ordered to go. A little spicier than I'm used to but still worth it. The wait wasn't too long, there were two super sweet ladies working, the cook and cashier, who looked completely swamped and still managed to tag team waiting tables while making orders. The posole was actually so hot it burned a hole through the lid! Fortunately a large Carl's Jr lid fit just as well in replacement but not before spilling a few drops from the scorching hot posole juice all up on my yoga pants. Also I did order corn tortillas and got flour instead but I didn't mind. It comes with a ton of cabbage, radish, as well as lime. Really good amount too, I think I paid like 13 bucks. It fed me and my husband and left us with leftovers for the next day.

Small restaurant with good Mexican food but its overpriced at almost $20 per person and about $3 for a soda.
Best Mexican food in soledad and general area. Yet, the food was a bit overpriced.
Was ok the food tasted different. Guess they changed chef or cooks. But overall good hand made tortillas.
It was pretty good food, great service The floors were messy, need clean up .
We came to visit. We stopped here for lunch. For the price, the food tasted okay. The "molcajete"-a dish of carne asada, chicken, and chorizo accentuated with cactus, grilled onions and red sauce-was served hot. It experience was complemented by the great waitress and her great personality. That's why I reviewed this as a three star experience! Some of the meat seemed reheated. I sense because I'll eat anything, I still found the meal quite tasty. My fiancee and I fashioned approximately six tacos out of all that was served. An upsetting fact was there was only one order of home made corn tortillas (3) served with the dish. It cost about $27. I thought it was a bit pricey.

Good food. Slow service. The food is good, except the shrimp. I don't have shrimp here, but Chavelas, posole, all the traditional Mexican plates are good. They have a hard time keeping servers, so their service is super slow.
The food tasted good and had good flavor. The waitress was very nice but it took quite awhile for our food to be served. We paid over 70 dollars for a molcajete for 2 and ONE michelada. Food was decent, but there was nothing about it that made the meal worth almost 80 dollars. Good, but not worth the price.
The food foods good but it's ridiculously overpriced I understand they make homemade tortillas and whatnot the prices are just crazy I think that play regular Taco with the homemade tortilla cost like close to 5 bucks that's nuts
Its ok. Kinda of over price for reg plates. and for a large fountain drink 6.25 that is an over reach!! I had the Mole. it wasnt special it tasted like out of the glass mole from the market. The food dis the job but it was mediocre.
Last time we went there was about 4 months ago. The waitress was nice, but the food tasted like it was reheated and unfortunately I ended up getting sick... other than that, the service was great.

First time going to this restaurant, unfortunately not enough effort is put in to their food. As other reviews have stated the price does not reflect the quality nor the flavor.

My food was salty and the sauce was too spicy to enjoy. And I agree with some of the reviews stating that the food is overpriced. My partner’s Shrimp cocktail had good flavor, but it had minimal shrimp. The customer service was good.

Not sure but from now on I want a paper receipt, got charged over $75.00 and did not get my full order. Something not right.
Horrible Service! I waited more than an hour to be served. Never Again!! Do not waste your time !!!!
SALTY! OMG! I'm a salt eater, and it was way too salty for me to enjoy.... I also ordered sour cream and guacamole added to my burrito and tacos, and it was still way too salty!
I ordered breakfast burrito something in it was off tried drowning it in hot sauce still didn’t taste right I told the waiter they denied anything was wrong still charged me full price
Very slow service, not enough waiters. Not enough cooks. I hope the food is good.
Taco Meat is not good..... my opinion....sorry guys....very nice ppl..... microwaved my food!

I ordered the bistec ranchero for take out and when I arrived home there was hardly any steak but plenty of tomato sauce. Please check your orders before you leave the establishment.
Overpriced, greedy staff. Take your money elsewhere. Took my 2 year old daughter and ordered a taco. Waitress didn't ask whether we wanted salsa on it but she knew it was for my daughter and still brought out the Taco covered in salsa. THEY REFUSED TO TAKE IT BACK AND GIVE US A PLAIN TACO BECAUSE I DIDNT ASK FOR IT WITHOUT SALSA. I was disgusted by this and have never gone back. Even if the food was good I am so disgusted by the staff that I would never give them my business.
