I've passed by here without stopping a few times, as I was always in a hurry, or was too early for it to be open, but vowed to stop by when I had a few minutes during their business hours. I wasn't disappointed. Actually, ... I was disappointed in myself, for not stopping here before. 😪 Often on the road early in the morning, or late at night, it's usually closed for me. :( Luckily, I was fortunate enough to be "On-Time" this day. Fresh out of the oven, these hand made Cinnamon Buns are some of the best I ever had, heavenly. <3 I also read other reviews, don't trust the negative ones, these buns are out of this world. I'm glad I tried them. You can taste the love that went into baking these. ❤️ And also tried one of the small peacan tarts, Wow, so good. Definitely will be timing my travels so that I am able to stop by regularly from now on. Very much worth the detour. 5/5 🌟 Defintely recommended 👌

I've been coming here for over 15 years and I've never had one bad experience..only good really tasty tasty ones and they even have an ice cream counter now too..Fresh baked local goods ,awesome homebaked goodies where impulse buys usually reside in a store.. Fresh cinnamon buns every Sunday, the women are always so nice and they have a few goodies that you can't get anywhere else around here besides the Amazing pizza, sqcrumptious subs and anything else you order on the menu is sure to be a Yumzinger of a meal or snack... definitely deserves ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a great indispensable gem of our little village. The new owners are very friendly. One of the best pizzas we've had and we can't get enough of their cinnamon buns :) Convenience of living so close certainly has made it an extension to our own pantry.

A friend of mine recently moved into the Spencerville area and RAVED about how amazing the Village Pantry pizza was. Well, it did not disappoint! Hands down one of the best pizza's I've had in a while. Also, highly recommend their cinnamon buns!

Driving from Oshawa to Ottawa and almost forgot about this place. We stopped in to grab a couple of slices of pizza and a cinnamon roll, (or two! You can never just have one.) Service was ever welcoming and the food was fantastic. Just wish they were closer to Oshawa, but my waist is thankful they aren't. Will be stopping by tomorrow to get some cinnamon rolls to take home.

We went to visit some friends recently in Spencerville and they told us we had to stop at the Village Pantry on the way home. We did and "boy oh boy" we were happy we did. We purchased a few things - cinnamon buns and various breads - and all were delicious. It would be dangerous to have this store near home. And of course the people at the store were very friendly. Hope your "Barbie" party was a success.

Best cinnamon buns around!!!!! Make sure you pre-order for Christmas Eve otherwise you will not get any cinnamon buns. Very much old school Village style service, friendly, polite, great service, they take a second to chat when the store is not lined up with people waiting for cinnamon buns!

Drove out to Spencerville on a day trip and bought half a dozen cinnamon buns. They were delicious, they always are! Absolutely worth the 50 minute drive from my end of Ottawa. Plan on heading there again soon.

Wonderful people who welcomed us after driving through the horrible winter storm from Montreal. They showed kindness and wonderful hospitality and we just can't appreciate them enough. The food is also very nice. Will not hesitate to give six star if possible.

I appreciate that the younger staff who make the pizza are well trained and courteous. The food is always fresh and prices are okay. Their Canadian pizza isn't made with real bacon which is a HUGE disservice to the quality cheese and great dough. The entrance is really awkward especially for those limited physically (also zero wheel chair access). Floors need to be replaced. They NEVER have coffee made which is a real head scratcher for a convenience store/bakery/take out place. I was once told people usually get coffee across the street at the other convenience store. Made me giggle. Decent place for a stop by all accounts. Edit update for owner response: Okay I bumped the food up to a 4 for my bacon comment being the only issue I have had, so fair enough. Bacon crumble is a pork by-product and not real bacon that is the traditional found on a 'Canadian' pizza. I get its cheaper but you can advertise 'bacon crumble' instead of claiming you use bacon as stated in the store. Simple. I'm sorry but the floors stand out as soon as you walk in. As an establishment which sells food this is restauranting 101. Luxury vinyl flooring (lvf) has existed for 25 years and is available in wood and tile patterns. It has a commercial warranty, lays on top of existing flooring without glue/nails, is textured to prevent falls, washes with a mop (100% waterproof), and locks together. Completely preserving the original floors if you ever wanted to refinish them. It is by far the cheapest flooring for labour costs because you could easily do the front of the shop in a day. Coffee only served in the morning got it. But it's so good with baked goods! Maybe on cold winter Saturdays when locals are at the rink? wink wink Thanks for hearing my feedback, I appreciate it.

The cinnamon buns are still good, but definitely not the airy delicious ones from my childhood... I find the buns these days have a different filling in them (less "cinnamony" and more "appley", if that makes sense), and the buns themselves are undercooked and doughy. I miss the old iconic buns! 🤌

Hardly any pineapple or sauce as well as the pizza was a size small at best. I literally fit 2 slices on my 1 hand side by side and the crust was very very thin. Like I have said before many times and also in my other review, I get that you need to increase cost for the customer as your cost increases too. However that doesn't mean the quality of your food needs to go down. Ever since the new owners and the most of the old staff left it's been going downhill and that sucks because it's an amazing place. . . . I am a local. I stop all the time at the pantry. I am giving the food a 2 star...not for the taste as it is still amazing as always.....but for the portions/lack there of. Used to be able to get a small poutine for $7 and it was a good size for a small. Now it is $9.61 with tax for half that size....I ordered a turkey sub...price went up..I understand that....but if you raise the price why are you removing the amount of ingredients that are put on it also? They used to be packed and now your lucky to get a handful of anything on it. Maybe it's the staff that just don't know how much to add? Ordered food at 4:30 and food was not ready until 5:15 and the staff told me it would be 20-25 minutes And it took them twice as long as they told me and when I finally got to the food after 45 minutes the order was incorrect and I am not pleased that it took them this long to make my order and I’ve never had this problem before and the staff were very rude

Stopped for pizza and baked goods at this location before, it has been good, however yesterday we tried the Steak Sub. BIG MISTAKE!! Paid $39 dollars for 2 steak subs, EXTRA STEAK ON ONE (which we didn't got) and 2 cokes. I asked about the extra STEAK was told it was there (but it wasn't) meat was soaked in BBQ sauce (we didn't asked for it and we weren't told about it) it was like having pull pork but with a mystery meat. Subs weren't wrapped as all subs are and given on a pizza box instead, when I looked at it and asked why I was told because they are hot can't be wrapped (Really?) Never the last I asked for foil paper, I wrapped it myself and tried to put it together in the box as it was honestly a mess. We seated outside to try to eat it but it was difficult to get past the taste. Got back inside asked the older lady in there what sauce they used, she said BBQ, I made her aware that it wasn't good but instead of getting a professional reply, she shrugged off the shoulders and made a noise just dismissing my complaint.

After hearing amazing things about the pizza we decided to try it ... asked for a small they said there was a dough shortage I have to get a medium. Not a huge deal said that was fine .. I asked for a medium vegetarian substituting the tomatoes for green olives. Was given a price over the phone . And told 45 minute wait. Show up to get my pizza and they added $3.50 for my substitution because olives are "expensive " but I had taken tomatoes off. Anyways they agreed not charge for it this time ... and then came out with my pizza that had both black and green olives My husband can't stand black olives so we asked for another pizza to be made and they had no dough! Got my money back so unfortunately no idea of its any good.
