Sierra Mexican Cuisine

This was my second time at Sierra and I was not disappointed. My absolute favorite item on the menu is the Mole Poblano wrap 🔥🔥🔥 the strawberry and banana toast is also really good and filling and pairs well with the Cafe de olla. The chia pudding and arroz con leche are subtly sweet, but still good. The tamales de pollo, puerco, and mole are also solid picks. Highly recommend!

Such a cute spot in Southgate! I came with my best friend for a quick bite — I had their all-natural strawberry smoothie 🍓 and a mole wrap with rice and queso fresco (SO good!). My friend loved her cafecito de olla and chicken chipotle sandwich. The vibe is cozy and friendly, and even though they didn’t have a high chair, my baby did just fine. The staff was super welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely coming back! 🌮☕✨

So Good!! My Daughter Loved the Torta De Jamón! It was beautifully presented, I wouldn’t usually call a sandwich that but you can Tell it was Made good and with Love! The Horchata cold brew was so tasty too! The employees are so Lovely and Helpful with Questions that are asked!The shop is so cute! They even have lil gifts you can Purchase there, the Talavera jars were so cuteee.I can’t wait to go back to try out the Chicken Chipotle Sandwich!💕✨

It's such a great gem to have at South Gate! I order the biscoff latte and it was really good, I just wish the drinks had a little more ice but it's okay because at least your getting your money's worth! The cashier/barista was having a bit of a hard time but it's not her fault that there was a lot going on! Their coffee and mole wraps are so great and I love they use homemade syrups! I end up buying a syrup since I love making coffee at home so I can't wait to try it! I will keep coming back to Sierra as much as I can!

First time at Sierra Mexican Cafe and it did not disappoint! They provide parking right behind the cafe, As soon as I walked in I was greeted and attended . I decided to go with their chicken chipotle sandwich it was very delicious felt like I was eating a torta from home ❤️ 10/10 would recommend to family & friends

Second time coming to this cafe and I am definitely gonna become a regular! I was genuinely so surprised by the service, they're very thoughtful and quick, packed both mine and my mother's order together and I didn't even realize (I am a bit slow). Apologies for the awkwardness haha! But the coffee is fantastic, the drinks are not too sweet, the mole poblano burrito I think has become my favorite thing on the menu so far. The mole really tastes SO GOOD! I highly recommend this place, the prices are reasonable and all the staff are sweet. :)

My lady and I came here for breakfast and enjoyed every bite. I ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich which was amazing. The horchata cold brew was delicious and refreshing on a hot day. The strawberry banana toast was kind of small but it was good. Probably would recommend to try other foods on the menu.

Cutest local cafe! It has such a great selection of lattes and food. Everything was very reasonably priced and portioned. The tortas are a must try! The service was great! The owner went above and beyond: she was so kind and friendly, she made sure we enjoyed the food, and made sure to familiarize herself with her customers. Definitely going again and bringing along friends and family!

Came by on 12/3 Sunday to try the tacos de guisados. My parents loved them! The champurrado was PERFECT! the picture doesn't do it justice. & the tamales were the perfect spice/sauce. Will be coming back on the weekend for more tamale❤️

Wonderful place I found on tik tok, my friend & I were looking for good coffeee and found Sierras Mexican Cafe. The chorizo with papas burrito was great and the mazapan iced latte with almond milk was delicious! Definitely a loyal customer now.

I was in the area with my bf and I had already seen Sierra on insta so when I caught a glimpse of it I told my bf to go back! I didn’t try the food today but I did try the Galleta Maria latte and it was so good! It was supper balanced, you could still taste the actual coffee, and it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet. We’ll def be returning customers when we’re in the area!

The food and drinks are amazing, especially considering how affordable everything is. Their chorizo wrap is delicious, and the macha salsa takes it to another level. On top of that, their coffee truly stands out. I’m obsessed with their piloncillo sweetener—such a perfect balance of flavor and sweetness. I even bought their coffee syrups to take home! My favorite drink is the iced piloncillo latte. It has just the right amount of sweetness, unlike overly sweet, corn-syrup-heavy drinks from places like Starbucks. You can actually taste the coffee here, which I love. Highly recommend this spot for great food, amazing coffee, and a lovely atmosphere. 💕☕️

I found out about Sierra Cafe on Tik Tok after seeing a video where the owner Lucy got personal and shared her story of how the idea of her business got started. I must say it was inspiring! I've been coming for quite a while now and I have to say that no matter what Lucy and the employees are doing, I always get greeted upon entering by my name. That kind of greeting makes you feel welcomed and good inside, as if you're part of their family. Everyone is so nice! I usually get their Spanish Latte with an extra shot and a dash of cinnamon. It does not disappoint! Plus I'm always reminded that if I need any extra sweetener or less to let them know and they will fix it. They want to make it good to your liking before you leave. Oh and parking! Don't get discouraged since there is no parking in front, but you can find parking in the back through the alley. I have to add that there may be times where they may be busy so don't think you are being ignored. They are all working to get orders out as fast as they can. There is always the option of ordering online or calling them to place your order if you don't have enough time to wait. To end my review I'd like to add the following. Everyone is entitled to write an honest review or make a video of their experience, but there's no need to critique a business to damage their integrity, simply because it's not of your liking. "Different strokes for different folks". ✌️😉

Came here for a birthday in the outdoor patio area, and we loved the easy vibes and efficient food ordering/pick up process ✨ has a real neighborhood vibe. Food was also well priced! Service was pleasant and it felt as though I was in my own back yard.

Brought my little family here first day of 2026 and the food was soooo good. The french toast was delicious and this is my favorite torta de jamon everrrr. Coffee was good and so were the shakes. Will be back for that torta de hamon for sure

Christmas morning coffee I had the bonuelo latte & it was delicious. Nice little coffee shop it was packed for being Christmas Day barista/cashier was a little slow because she was doing 2 jobs at once. I highly recommend this local coffee shop and will return for the chicken chipotle and mole wrap.

I really wanted to like this place because it's close to my house but it's really small in there, they don't sell regular coffee only options to was cafe de olla or an Americano to sub for regular drip coffee. The frapp was almost 7 dollars for a 16oz and they put caramel for some reason when we asked for vanilla. There was about 5 workers and it still took like 10 minutes for 1 frapp. I love supporting small businesses but this wasn't it unfortunately, I had to walk down the street to TOMS burger for regular coffee.

I ordered a Chipotle Sandwich with NO ONIONS, this is my FIRST TIME TRYING THIS PLACE the food looked delicious and I was excited I also ordered a mocha frappe. The Mocha Frappe was amazing, downed it in 10 minutes. On the other hand, the chipotle sandwich was 5/10 at MOST. I had no problem eating it at first it was delicious and i enjoyed it until i tasted onion i remember it said on the device it said with NO onion. I took it out and kept eating till i bit into what I believe is a chicken bone. This place is great but please, pay attention to the order!! The people were great, super friendly an all. The food came out fast, but maybe take more time to ensure the order is correct. I added photos of my order being a Chipotle Sandwich with NO onions and a CLEAR ONION, this is only one of them that were in there i threw the others away, as well as a chicken bone which i didn't know sandwiches included chicken bone in them.
