I am always looking for a great BBQ spot, and I have passed this place at least a dozen times, but have never grabbed something to eat here until this evening. In fact, I am still sitting at the bar after finishing my meal while typing out this five (5) star review. Since I am tight on funds at the moment, I opted for their half pound of Burnt Ends (Brisket) for $9.00. However, when the young lady took my order she claimed that my total bill was only $4.00 plus tax. When placing my order I failed to realize that all their appetizer menu items were on happy hour special. This is something they do at various times each day throughout the week. I LOVE seeing businesses giving back and supporting the community they set up shop in. Talk about GOOD PEOPLE! I loved the small town country vibe, the southern hospitality, the amazing food and the affordable prices. I want to give thanks and praise to the Lord for guiding me into this restaurant tonight. God willing, I shall return to try out some of their other fantastic looking combo meat plates and side items. Thank you so much for the wonderful dining experince. God bless and good journey!
Absolutely amazing BBQ. The Texas beans were unreal—easily the best beans I’ve ever had anywhere. I tried the turkey, spicy sausage, and burnt ends, and every single one was on point. The burnt ends were next-level and honestly to die for. Great flavor, great portions, and you can tell they care about their food. This place just jumped to the top of my BBQ list.
Definitely a family favorite. We usually pick up and take home, but decided to eat inside this day. Great atmosphere and clean. Take a menu to your table of choice, then order from the front register. For the kids, we usually do the turkey meat and ask for buns so that they can make a sandwich out of it. The burnt ends plate is plenty of meat. The brisket potatoes are a great size and they are my personal favorite. The whole family walks away with a full belly.
This is THE BEST BBQ place I know of! We drive an hour to get here. The food is superior to every competitor, the staff is terrific, and the decor is so cute , funny, and unique! I love the funny signs, all the highland and longhorn cows and pigs. There's a picture in the ladies room that's painted, of a smiling pig wearing red golashes that's just adorable! You've just got to come try this and see for yourself! Yummy!
Let me tell you something. I ordered this for delivery, and the way these people piled them three meats up in that container... me and my baby ate like queens over the snowless snowmageddon! Brisket was seasoned and tender. I like mine moist. You would've sworn they injected this with s lil butter. Ribs were succulent not sloppy. They had just the right bite and were a lil peppery. I loved that. They even put love into the chicken. Barbecue spots love to mess up the chicken. They get it right! They gave me a lil dark and white. The sides were exciting. This was the most enjoyable barbecue plate I've had in a long time. I'll be ordering again real soon!
Best barbecue for your moneys worth. Now a days you gotta pay an arm and a leg for mediocre brisket. This place is a great price and great brisket. Also they load you up as well with the meat and not just a couple pieces. Go to spot for barbecue in Houston as of now.
The best BBQ, burnt ends and chili I have ever had. The home made spicy BBQ sauce is too die for!. Don't get me started with Nanas banana pudding, the recipe is unlike anything I have ever tried!! You have to go try it. God bless you Happy new year
This place is the real deal! We are very particular about our BBQ, and they did not disappoint. Brisket, sausage, chicken, ribs, and burnt ends were all fantastic. The broccoli rice casserole, fried okra, and potato salad were delicious as well. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better. Dont sleep on this place, you will not be disappointed!
For BBQ in Cypress area it just does not get any better than this... The brisket is perfection here. Moist and flavorful, the sauce is good too. Their prices are pretty astronomical but you are actually getting the quality you are paying for here unlike Killens. Where you will pay the same price for dry and bland. If you want some legit Texas BBQ with a side of hospitality like the old days, this is it, do not hesitate.
This was some of the best BBQ I have here in Texas. I will be returning. The brisket and pulled pork was so moist and mouth watering. The sides (sweet potato casserole and beans) were perfectly cooked and tasty. The deserts (blackberry cobbler and banana pudding) hands down amazing. the staff was so welcoming and warming to interact with. The owner was so polite and personal. It was please to meet such good people and good food. The atmosphere was perfect, felt like staying all day. Thanks and will definitely see yall soon. Being from Louisiana, I appreciate good food, good company, and family like restaurants.
I wanted to try barbecue at somewhere I've never eaten before. I pass by this place all the time and never stopped. Today was that day. I stopped and gave it a try. I went with the four meat plate. Brisket, turkey, sausage, and ribs. I had no complaints with any of the meat. Everything was tasty and delicious. The loaded mashed potatoes were a treat. The beans were average. I don't care about the sides, I come to eat barbecue for the meat. It was a little pricey for a four meat plate, but it was worth it.
I’ve been to 2 Guys 1 Pit BBQ twice. My first time I stopped in for lunch and was greeted by a friendly counter person. Ordered brisket & ribs. The second time was much more thorough. I did a review for my foodie page, met the owner, ordered several different items to bring home & share with my family. We really enjoyed their bbq. It’s not real smoky and everything was tender & juicy. Sweet potato casserole was another fave. Really enjoyed the ribs and sides. I only wish I lived closer.
Reviews are a big deal for me! I’m giving it a 4 because the food was incredibly good. It’s a nice place but lacks customer service. It was my first time and the girl working was not very welcoming. She was cleaning when I walked in, helped me get a high chair and then went back to cleaning. I walked up to ask her if I ordered at the register or someone would take my order at my table. When she told me to order at the register and I walked to the register she kept on cleaning and I waited for a bit longer. I drove 45 mins to come try this place. I will only be returning because the food was really good. The cook was really nice when he brought out my baked potato. He asked if I needed anything however the girl working not once ever came to ask if I needed anything. I got the loaded baked potato with Mac and cheese and brisket. I will give it a shot again just because the food was so good! It’s a cute place with good parking! I feel like if customer service were to have some improvement I’d then rate this place a 15/10.
2 Guys 1 Pit is located in a plaza next to other stores so there is plenty of room for parking. When you walk inside, you’ll see a good amount of room for tables/seats. They have a happy hour from 4 PM - 7:30 PM for dine in only- half off on all appetizers! My friends and I went and got the ½ lbs Burnt Ends Cheese Curds Fried Okra Fried Mac & Cheese Bites The happy hour price is unbeatable. Each appetizer was around $4 and if you’re a member at Rise Gym next door, you get another discount on top of the happy hour price so it’s a steal! The burnt ends were savory and delicious. The meat had a smokey flavor and it was juicy with a slightly crispy exterior. All the other appetizers were decent. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of their entrees!
Pretty good bbq, and the sides were good too. I got the chopped moist brisket sandwich with green beans and coleslaw. The brisket was the star, as is to be expected! The green beans were a close second, and the coleslaw and sauce left a bit to be desired. The service was unusual as well. I came in during an in between lunch/dinner period when it was eerily quiet. The team members were all studiously cleaning and prepping for the dinner service, but nobody greeted me or said a word. I sat quietly waiting for a server for about 10 min before going to the counter to grab a menu and order. I asked if this was normal, and she explained that I should’ve come to the counter sooner. Next time I know, but it still felt odd. Overall, it’s good. I’d try it again.
Great bark on the brisket, not much smoke, but super dry, even after dipping in sauce. Spicy sausage also dry imo. Pulled pork on the potato tasted like mix of fresh cooked and old pork. Nice interior and friendly staff. Good spicy BBQ sauce and banana pudding.
Food is always good the loaded potato salad is one of my faves and smoked turkey. The cashier that took our order was a disappointment. If you're not sure of what's being asked do not give the answer of I dont know I just started working here for every question. At least inquire to give a better response. Just seemed like she didn't care she was just there for the paycheck. When we asked another server she was sweet to answer all that we needed.
Good Flavor is not a substitute for bad food. I just picked up dinner for my family and we got ribs, chicken and brisket. ALL 3 meats are so dry you can barely swallow without a drink. My teen, who loves ribs, wont even take a second bite. Im eating it because....40 dollars is 40 dollars but its absolutely awful.
The meat was dry. I ordered the moist brisket, turkey, and burnt ends and it was all dry. Turkey had good flavor and burnt ends did as well but it had bbq sauce on it so I don't count that. The burnt ends were also too chewy. Potato salad was great and the Mac and cheese was ok. I didn't even want to finish any of the meats. After seeing the good reviews this place let me down. Probably will not be returning
They messed up my order by not putting any brisket in a 3 meat plate. So disappointing I’ve been looking forward to this meal all week. No refund from DoorDash for whatever reason and “nothing we can do”. When they are the ones that messed up. Need a manager to do something. Lost this customer
It seems like this place may have changed ownership or gotten a new cook, because the quality has really gone downhill. The food was very disappointing , especially for $55 for two people..the only good thing on the plate was the bread. The sweet potatoes tasted like they had just been reheated in the microwave. The macaroni and cheese came out extremely hot, and the noodles and sauce were watery, almost like soup, again tasting microwaved. The baked beans, which used to be our favorite, have completely changed and were not good at all. We ordered the moist brisket, but it was gross, and the ribs tasted like they had an entire jar of salt poured over them. They were so overcooked they were like beef jerky. Even the side of pulled pork was dry and overcooked. Overall, a very disappointing experience compared to what this place used to be. Completely water our Sunday dinner out.
I’m a regular here and have always had good experiences..until today. I placed a to go order and was told happy hour appetizers started at 4 p.m., so I waited to place my order. Once 4 p.m. hit, I submitted it and paid, only to realize I was charged full price. Another server then told me (with noticeable attitude) that the happy hour special is dine-in only. That was never communicated to me beforehand. Had I been informed, I wouldn’t have added the appetizer. The issue isn’t the policy; it’s the lack of clear communication and the way it was addressed. When I called to speak with a manager about the situation, the call was ended abruptly after I expressed that the staff did not need to be rude. If customers are treated with disrespect, it’s unrealistic to expect them to respond with respect in return. Professionalism and basic courtesy go a long way, and unfortunately both were missing during this visit.
Order was wrong. Manager rude, owner called me back and cussed at me while on my cars bluetooth and my young son in the car with me. Never eating here again and plan to tell everyone I know my experience. Don't order curbside either you still have to go in or wait in the drive through the 15 minutes for a potato if its fast.
Second time we ordered from them and the second time our order was wrong. They totally forgot the green beans from our order. By the time we went back to retrieve them, our $50 worth of BBQ was too cold to be edible. When I called to complain, the manager was both rude and dismissive and tried to blame the mistake on new employees in the kitchen. She offered no option to fix the issue. Also, their broccoli rice casserole had maybe one sliver of broccoli. Just call it slightly cheesy rice as that would be more accurate. Finally, they are SUPER stingy with sauce and other accompaniments. We had to ask for extra this time as they give you about a tablespoon of sauce for your entire meal. Pathetic. Will never go back.
