One of my new favorites. The pasta dishes are fantastic. I'm dying to go back and try the fish specials. The desserts were fantastic.

First time visiting and was impressed by the quality of food with beautiful and fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is very intimate and cozy. Had the lobster bisque which was done is a very classical French style with very smooth homogenous texture with chunks of lobster. Raw oysters and calamari in a fra diavolo sauce as appetizer (perfect acidity and a hint of spice). For entree, we had rack of lamb with a wine reduction sauce (perfect doneness) and the fish special. Sides French beans were done perfectly with the right snap. All the dishes were beautifully executed. I wish I knew about this place sooner. Looking forward to going back for their homemade pasta. The service was fast and courteous. I feel very warm observing the family interacting with repeated customers. The prices absolutely match the quality of freshness you can taste. BYOB is a plus!

This place is one of THE BEST Italian restaurants that I've been to. Trust me, I have been to many in NYC and NJ! And I will definitely come back again for special occassion with my family and friends. My husband tried this restaurant with his friends. And he was raving about it and asked me to make reservation to celebrate his birthday here. The restaurant was fully booked. I could tell that many of the customers were regulars. We ordered appetizers, (I personally didn't really care for the appetizer; soft shell crab was a bit too oily and salty for my preference. As well as Caesar Salad, was too much dressing. Calamari was average, Clam Casino was great). Lobster bisque was excellent. Then, came our entrees. They were to die for!! Chef Kiss! Each one them was perfect! I ordered rack of lamb that I was going to share with my mom, and they decided to split into two plates when they brought it out! That was so thoughtful of them. Rack of Lamb, Seafood linguine, Shrimp & Scallop pasta, Shrimp & Scallop pasta in vodka sauce, ALL OF THEM were perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and huge portion! See my pictures, the rack of lamb picture was only the half portion! We ended our dinner with tiramisu and lava cake with vanilla ice cream, they were scrumptious! Oh, and they were so nice that they gave us grilled tomato with vinaigrette and cranberry chocolate cookies on the house! And both of them were crazily good. Service was good, they are very attentive. My whole family loves this restaurant, and can't wait to go back again. Don't forget to make reservation far in advance as they are booked fast.

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at this charming, family run Italian restaurant. The fresh seafood was a true highlight, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The service was impeccable, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Every dish felt like it was crafted with love and attention to detail. Five stars well-deserved!

It was my friend’s birthday and we had such a wonderful meal. My friend ordered an appetizer and main course that was special of the day which she loved. I ordered the arugula salad and the seafood linguine in red sauce. The seafood was so fresh, it melted in my mouth. We were so full we had no room for dessert but since they knew it was my friend’s birthday they brought out a strawberry on a plate with a candle on it for her to blow. That was sweet. We love that this place is a BYO! Bring a bottle of your favorite wine 🍷

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Po Le Cucina, a charming restaurant in Lower Gwynedd, PA, that offers a unique BYOB experience. From start to finish, our evening was filled with delightful surprises. To kick things off, we savored the Figs wrapped in prosciutto, a fantastic specialty dish that set the tone perfectly. The raw oysters were accompanied by two distinct sauces - a tangy homemade cocktail sauce and a refreshing oil-vinegar-based sauce with shallots, adding a burst of flavor to our meal. The Calamari Special, featuring fiery sautéed calamari with generous jumbo lump crabmeat in a Fra Diavolo sauce, was a spicy delight, beautifully balanced by the abundance of crab. The Clams Casino, topped with chopped clams, onions, tomatoes, and bacon, was a standout dish, but the true star of the evening was the Softshell Crabs. Incredibly fresh, perfectly crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside, they left a lasting impression. I opted for the chef's signature dish, the Seafood Linguine, for the main course. It featured a medley of shrimp, calamari, clams, and scallops in a white wine sauce that was robust and infused with seafood stock, achieving culinary perfection. For dessert, we enjoyed cappuccinos accompanied by scrumptious cranberry biscotti, a heavenly crème brûlée with its rich, creamy texture and satisfying crack of caramelized sugar, and a decadent chocolate mousse cake that satisfied our sweet tooth. The desserts truly showcased the chef's skill in creating confections that left us wanting more. Adding a personal touch to our experience, the chef, after whom the restaurant is named, came out to speak with our table. It highlighted the genuine passion and dedication behind the dishes we enjoyed. The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy and inviting, fostering friendly conversations among diners. The outside seating under a tent provided a comfortable and intimate dining setting. A standout aspect of our visit was the friendly and attentive restaurant staff, making it feel like a welcoming family-run establishment. Both the son and daughter actively contributed to our enjoyable evening, offering excellent recommendations throughout our meal. Overall, Po Le Cucina offers exceptional food and genuine hospitality, creating an unforgettable dining experience where great flavors meet warm, welcoming ambiance.

3/31: I had a marvelous experience. Today I tried, I decided to order the Pappardelle Ragu, which featured duck and mushrooms. The sauce was a light creamy sauce with a very subtle note of tomato. To top off today's lunch - cranberry scones with elephant ear pastries (not pictured). ---- On sundays, they serve pho, and it's delicious. Gourmet food for a very reasonable price. The meatballs used in their pho stood out to me! We ordered spring rolls, and those were delicious as well.

Truly delicious food! Our waitress could not have been nicer or more accommodating! The owner checked on us to assure our complete satisfaction! We just had terrific takeout meal: Grilled calamari, marinated artichokes, perfectly prepared Dover sole, and homemade rum raisin gelato. We were back to Po Le Cocina again tonight. Fantastic fresh oysters; tomato, pepper 🌶 and mozzarella: and the best sea bass ever!! We went back last Sunday, when the menu is Vietnamese Pho or Italian pasta. I had a perfectly done shrimp roll, followed by amazing vegetarian pho. It was truly a taste of Vietnam! My wife had Pappardelle Duck Ragu which was also yummy! You should definitely check out the Sunday menu at Po Le Cucina!

We were visiting from out of town and were fortunate that a table for 8 was available on a busy Friday evening. Reservations was needed. From the time we sat down to the last morsel of delectable dessert, we were treated like royalty. The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious. I had artichoke appetizer and seafood linguini and we shared 5 desserts. The portions were generous. After the meal, the chef stopped by and had a nice chat with us. Everyone was warm, friendly and attentive. We will certainly be back the next time we're in town. I highly recommend this fine Italian restaurant.

Brought my Mother and Daughter here for a special experience, and it was really the best food and the best service that we have ever, ever had when dining out...Every single detail was cared for by the amazing family that owns the restaurant, and so refreshing that they were each personable and very polite. All of us agreed that we were looking forward to returning next time. Thanks to everyone here that gave us such a lovely time together!

I have known the owner before he open this location, I follow him because of his style of cooking. This is a quiet and comfortable place. BYOB, and I live that . All the dishes at this place are well thought out. The Angle Hair pasta with Crabmeat and shrimp is my favorite. NG Fine Dinning at it best

Our dinner was amazing. It was our first time going and now can't believe we waited so long. Portions were larger than I expected and I loved every bite. I had the lamb chops for dinner and can't wait to eat the leftovers. Staff was lovely and they even bring you home baked cookies at the end of your meal. Can't wait to return.

This restaurant is 110% amazing. Gave us an upscale dining experience with a touch of homey comfort! Last night was the 4th time we’ve been there with family and friends. The seafood dishes were super fresh; there’s not one dish on the table that we didn’t enjoy. Above the high quality food was the impeccable service! There is something to be said about family owned restaurants bc you can tell by the level of care exuded by the staff. The head chef even came out to greet us. We can feel the love Po Le Cucina have for their customers. I am a fan and will definitely be a returning customer!

This was our first time here. What a wonderful experience with the servers being so professional and kind. Even had someone come and say Thank You for dining with us. It was more than just a casual gesture. Felt very authentic. Food was wonderful! So so so fresh was the feeling and quality food! It’s always worth spending a bit more when the quality shows it. Didn’t take any photos of the food, but it was very colorful and well presented. We had a variety of appetizers: Bruschetta, Cesar Salad as well as Artichoke Hearts. My friends had a soup and a steak. They loved it. My wife and I shared a pasta primavera. So so full of fresh veggies! Didn’t feel like a sacrifice to be vegetarian at all. I also appreciated the bread with butter and cheese that was served. Highly recommend!

Everyone loved their food. Expensive but delicious. Excellent service. The dover sole was delicious. The vegetables tasted like they were just out of the garden. The desserts were fantastic. Cozy atmosphere. Will return soon.

Good pasta and dessert here. We got raw oysters for an app. Tasty. seafood linguini special and duck ragu both delicious. And tiramisu cake for dessert. Yum. Staff is very friendly also! We saw on Sundays they are open for pho so we stopped by again and did not disappoint. The pho special was awesome. Will be coming back for more!

Po Le is one of the best local chefs. His restaurant PO LE CUCINA is located in Spring House. It is a family operated BYOB restaurant. The quality of the food is excellent. The portions are very generous and the service is great. His wife and daughter and other waiters take great care of their customers. We love all the seafood specials and highly recommend this restaurant. Eva Marko

Yesterday we finished our third annual holiday party at Po Le. We had 9 people and the tables were arranged in a square to facilitate easy conversation. Nice touch. The food and service were outstanding as usual. The owners came out and shared a few minutes with us. Save room for dessert, all pastries are freshly baked by the chef. Looking forward to my next visit.

This place was so unexpected and amazing. The food and service were top tier. I always love a BYOB. They are very gluten free friendly and the menu has a few, incredibly delicious, surprises. You can’t go wrong. Looking forward to next time.

This is a fantastic restaurant that I've eaten at several times. The family that owns it is extremely nice, and they are extraordinarily talented at what they do. I apologize for not knowing how to spell any names. All skills worth having are secretly just art, and all art is secretly communication, and all communication is secretly just math. And math just consist of proofs and proofs are just sources of epiphanies. Eating here causes epiphanies if you have the sort of mind that is likely to have epiphanies. What kind? Lilly's cookies are correct, and they explain what everyone else whose ever made a cookie with fruit in it does wrong. I believe she uses cranberries not raisins, but that's not the important part. I realized when I tried Lilly's cookies that I'd never had a good oatmeal-raisin cookie before because all of the other ones I've had have been too sweet. When the raisins are sweeter than the cookie, the whole cookie just works better. The first thing I learned from Philip: Philip has figured out that one way to have much better fish at an Italian restaurant, particularly much better scallops, is to just source them like you're a sushi restaurant. If you want to know why their scallops are so good, it's because they use the kind of scallops that are much more likely to be used in sushi than cooked in an Italian dish. I don't usually like scallops except at sushi restaurants, and talking to Philip I learned why that is. They have good scallops here. Po Le doesn't realize how innovative he is. I had to eat here several times to figure out why they consider this to be normal Italian food that is not fusion. Their food is extremely good and extremely neutral. What does that mean? You know how British food is bland, that is because, British people try to cook neutral food, but they fail at it. The only people I know who cook good European food that tastes neutral cook Eastern European food, and are Jewish. This food violates some of Europe's strongest food taboos that are so ingrained in Western culture that I didn't even notice they were there. (That's what most taboos are like.) Philip tried to tail me it was just normal Italian food, not any fusion. When I raised my eyebrows, he asked me if I'd been to Italy, and then I explained to him how the combination of flavors in these meals did not match with any combination of flavors that I would expect to encounter in Italy, and he agreed with me that my description of differences were correct. I know. Italians spent much of their history trying to be as anti-Jewish as possible. That's a big part of European culture. This is what Italian food would have tasted like if Italians didn't spend most of their history persecuting Jews to bother to try any Jewish cooking. And it only seems Italian because it's Italian-Italian fusion in a Jewish style. This is aristocrat-peasant fusion. Once I finally figured out the range of meanings stored under "good Polish food" in my head, I was able to figure out why it tasted more like good Polish food, than Italian food. I strongly recommend this restaurant. At first when I tried the food, I assumed it was very, very hard to cook like this because I had never eaten food that tasted like it. But having gone home and experimented a little, I discovered that by just violating all my instinctualized pairings, I could also cook neutral food that tastes good after eating here. Also, ... on a related note... do you know who really, really likes to eat neutral-tasting food to show off how much more sophisticated they are than everyone else? Hereditary billionaires. This is what the food that hereditary billionaires eat taste likes. That's why British people are so fond of bland food; they're trying to pretend to be hereditary billionaires, but they don't know how because they don't realize that hereditary billionaires are always secretly bragging that three generations ago, they were peasants. It's probably for the best that I'm at my word limit. But I also have nice things to say about Di.

We had a fantastic experience here for a birthday dinner! The food was great, and the service was even better. Dee was an outstanding waitress—kind, attentive, and fun. The owners even came out to greet us, shared some jokes, and made us feel truly welcome. You can tell they care about their customers. Highly recommend!

My husband and I have heard good things about this restaurant for a while. We finally enjoyed a delicious anniversary meal and dessert last night. We ordered the lobster bisque, eggplant app, the seafood linguine and chicken entrees. The service was excellent. Our server opened our champagne and placed it in a glass chiller on our table when we sat down. She even poured our first glasses. We had the apple cinnamon dessert and vanilla gelato. It was our first time and we will return.

This was our first time here and we will be back. The food was excellent. From appetizers to desserts, everything was fresh and homemade. It is a family run business and it is run very well. Mom, Dad, brother and sister are all very friendly and ensured every guest had what they needed. Service was impeccable. Great menu selection and we loved each thing we ordered. Thank you for a great meal!

This is the hidden gem for fine dining out this way. New York level food prep, BYO and high level service that doesn't feel pretentious. Thank you D for another wonderful holiday meal! we love sharing our birthdays, milestones and holidays with you all. A Gem of Warmth and Culinary Delight This cozy, family-owned restaurant is a true treasure that radiates warmth, hospitality, and culinary excellence. The service here is nothing short of impeccable. The family members, who clearly pour their hearts into every aspect of the restaurant, greet you with genuine smiles and an eagerness to make your visit special. They anticipate your needs with an almost intuitive grace, ensuring your glass is filled, your questions answered, and your preferences honored—all without ever feeling intrusive. It’s the kind of service that makes you feel like you’re dining with close friends who truly care about your happiness. And then there’s the food! Each dish is crafted with love and precision. The menu, though concise, showcases a remarkable range of flavors, blending tradition with creative flair. Our favorites include the rigatoni Bolognese, soft shell crabs and chicken pizzaiola. Ingredients are fresh, and prepared with a respect that elevates even the simplest dishes into something extraordinary. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the palpable sense of family. You can feel the pride in every plate, the joy in every interaction.

What a delightful experience. Went there for my birthday and it was great. The calamari special with crab was amazing- cooked to perfection and delicious. So was the pasta special dinner with very large shrimp and crab. Topping it all off I had the chocolate soufflé with homemade vanilla gelato. This is well run operation that truly lives up to its high reputation. Excellent every way.

Let me just say the second experience even topped the first! Hands down the best gnocchi ever! Our server called them God’s pillows and she nailed it! The appetizers were all fab…soft shell, fig with prosciutto, stuffed clams, and calamari with crab! I don’t know how I had room for dessert, but the tiramisu was dreamy! Why I waited so long to experience this 5 star restaurant is beside me, but I’m not letting that happen again! See you soon Po Le Cucina!!

We ate at Po Le Cucina the night before the 4th with family and it was unforgettable. My grandparents, Lois and Emil, were longtime regulars, and both passed recently. The restaurant is family-owned, and multiple members of the family came up to share the sweetest memories of them. It truly felt like they were back at the table with us. Even without that special care, our meal was incredible. All five of us gave our entrées 5/5. I’m a pasta lover had trouble deciding which one I wanted. I can’t wait to come back and try all of them! A truly special place.

Po Le, who cooked for others for years, applies his skills to a small menu of nearly perfectly prepared dishes. It appears the whole family is involved and their intent to make sure you enjoy the meal is clear.

Went on Sunday for my husband’s birthday. The staff immediately made us feel at home. Some of the best restaurant service we’ve had in years. Above that, the food was great! I had the pho and my husband had the penne with shrimp. We both loved our dishes. They were very accommodating of my vegetarian diet. A local gem. We will be back.

J
Jillian G

Food was very plentiful, and delicious as well as reasonably priced for what you receive. The Dining Room is small, so it was somewhat noisy. Doggie Bags we're a must for all 4 of us. The menu is varied, and should accommodate many different tastes. They also have nightly specials, and I would recommend going early because there is a chance they could run out in the later dinner hours.

R
Renu Dalal

It was our first time eating here. The food was excellent but the service felt abrupt and rushed. The older lady kept coming to our table every 2 mins to ask us for our orders when we clearly said it was my birthday and we were looking to sit and relax. When we asked for a few minutes to decide she told us the kitchen would get very busy and we have to put our orders in now. (This was literally 16 minutes after we were seated). We had a bottle of white wine but did not get offered an ice bucket although both tables near us did get one. We were not offered the oyster special although the table across us was offered it- loudly enough that we could hear. It was clear that leisurely friendly service was reserved for the regulars. I’d recommend the food but definitely not the service.

S
Sherri Salamone

We were very disappointed. I ordered Chicken Picante - chicken was very dry and thick, and later that night disagreed with me. Our friend ordered a pasta dish. He was disappointed as the sauce was more a red thin broth. I think it was a special. Our meal started out well..fig appetizer was delicious. Bread was very dry and bland. Overall, we were very disappointed.

P
Paul Huttenlock

Absolutely fabulous food. Artichokes are to die for so tender and delicious. Soft shell crabs cook to perfection. This restaurant has delicious food worth the price.

J
Jess T

Sadly I had to cancel my reservation due to unexpected and unforeseen circumstances that I could not control, and they wouldn’t honor waiving the cancellation fee despite it was 2.5 hours prior to the reservation time. Apparently if within 3hrs they charge you. Really unfortunate - especially since it’s a first time offense. I will not be dining here in the future and will be sure to advise others to choose wisely.

I was impressed with the tenderness of the calamari. But we were seated next door in a empty office room no ambiance cold except for air conditioning . We got there and it was cool until owner came in and turned air off or down. I was sweating the whole dinner it was so hot! I ordered the fish filled supposedly hand made ravioli they were not ravioli but tough dry wonton. The inside was so dry. I didn't eat it 200.00 and I was miserable Service was good.

C
Chris H

If you were thinking of between this place and another option, go for the other option. Not really sure how this place has a rating so high. Once my party and I were seated, it took the staff 20 minutes just to tell us the specials of the day and another 20 minutes just to order. Once we ordered, the food did not come out for another hour. What was supposed to be a 1.5 hour dinner turned out to be 2.5 hours. Not only were we disappointed with the service, but also the food as well. I had the Bolognese, which was liquid-y, my partner had the Gnocchi that had no texture to it. That said, we barely touched our food. The only redeeming thing about this place was the Tiramisu. Needless to say, look elsewhere and stay away.
