As a retired Chef I love to eat as much as I love to cook and this place is one of a kind the customer service is excellent, the food is unmatched, and the atmosphere is comfortable and exquisite Mel is a great hostess and the rest of the crew is amazing

My wife introduced me to this place when we lived in Spring Valley. It was right of the 94, so on our way to and from pretty much anywhere we were going. The lines can be long. They did recently open up the inside of the store again, but I can't speak on how that is as I've never gone inside the shop. Overall, loved this coffee spot, and now that we have moved and one isn't close, we will definitely miss going there.

I absolutely love this place! Friendly service, right off the 94, with a drive through, and the drinks are reasonably priced but taste exponentially better than Starbucks drinks. Great space inside with a kid area, comfortable seating, and fantastic blended cold brew drinks! My usual order is a blended cold brew (way better than Starbucks!) with sugar-free hazelnut, and a Chipotle BLTA bagel, although I'm fussy and get it without the tomato, chipotle, or mayonnaise.....so maybe it's more of a toasted, buttered bagel with tons of arugula, fresh avocado, and crispy bacon. It is just fantastic! They have a HUGE selection of pastries--ask in the drive-thru, and they'll give you a rundown of everything they have available on a given morning. I also LOVE the overnight oats, warm and comforting with a berry compote and peanut or almond butter. So good.

An absolute hidden Gem. This place is rad. The inside cafe has a gorgeous layout with welcoming couches. So many options on the menu for food and drinks. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while since I live and work locally. I’m GLAD I did, lol. The staff are friendly and approachable unlike other indie coffee shops. I’ll be bringing my kids here on the weekends, I’m sure they’ll love the vibe.

Gladly Coffee is a true gem! From their handcrafted coffee creations to their high-quality food offerings, I am constantly impressed by them. Cherry on top is the staff which is hands down the best in town. Friendly, genuine and structured, chefs kiss!

Recently discovered this just off the 94w . Arrived around 10am on Friday morning and this place was hopping! Inside, on patio, and drive-thru. Lively and unexpected great place! Building was once a bank which added extra charm. Met up with a friend who didnt know of the place either after making the 94 drive 100s of times. I only had a coffee but Im told food is good. The parking lot was packed so I parked with others in the next building lot. I'll be back, try a bagel, and take some pix for ya! Good Spring Valley find!

Gladly Coffee is really a great place to get your morning coffee. I would come here way more often when I lived in Spring Valley, and still crave it moving more central San Diego. Their coffee is rich and always flavorful, I stick to usually a flavored Iced Latte of some sort and haven’t even been disappointed. I’ve only ever had an issue when K tried holiday drinks and they were alittle sweet, but it is the holidays. The food is also really delicious and made fresh. I usually get the Spicy Jack and it always hits! They offer standard drink sizes, not “huge” corporate sizing.

Great location, plenty of parking. Great atmosphere, with lots of space inside and out. Cool, modern decour. Amazing smoothies, frappes and food! Mocha frappe, strawberry and banana smoothie are both to die for. They have almond milk as an alternative with no extra charge. Their sandwiches are yummy! Free wifi!!! The customer service is also fantastic! You always feel welcome. Also they have a drive thru!!

Really enjoyed my visit to Gladly Coffee. The staff was warm and welcoming, and my order came out surprisingly fast. I had a coffee and a breakfast sandwich, and both were excellent. They have a nice variety of unique coffee drinks you don’t see everywhere, which makes it fun to try something new. The inside seating area is cozy and well-designed, a great place to hang out or get some work done. I also appreciated how many vegan breakfast options they had—definitely thoughtful for plant-based eaters. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Great coffee shop. I'm glad they have a drive-thru. I ordered the Moonlight Magic Ube Latte and the Dirty Harry Latte, both were bomb. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich at like 3pm, glad they serve breakfast all day. Definitely will return if I'm ever in this area again.

I've also tried the Bee’s Knees latte, which has lavender and honey—super smooth, lightly floral, and not overly sweet. Today, I tried their new seasonal drink, Banana Caramel Brûlée Blended Cold Brew, and honestly, it might be the best drink I’ve ever had. PLEASE don't take this off the menu, and I’d love to see it offered as a latte too. They seem to always be adding new seasonal drinks, which makes it fun to come back and try something different every time. The food is also great and is way better than typical café food. Breakfast is served all day. The inside is cute, spacious, and perfect for studying or getting work done. Pro tip: check out their menu on their website—most items have photos, which is super helpful when deciding what to get!

This place is excellent! Get the Dirty Harry. It might actually be my favorite coffee drink anywhere! It's indulgently delicious. Their biria melt is incredible. Their dining room has good vibes, so if you don't wanna go through the drive thru, you should stop and dine in. If I lived nearby, I'd probably be here almost every day.

The ciabatta bread was soft and buttery, the sauce had just the right amount of heat and the meat was tender and chefs kiss. Now to my favorite part, I am serious about my lattes and the bees knees latte did not disappoint me. I took my first sip and started smiling that's how happy it made me feel. I also purchased the Ginger Berry ACV because I love anything with ginger in it. I loved it so much I am planning on heading back up there with my family so that they can try out the menu for themselves. I went through the drive through, but when we return I will take pictures of the indoor decor and ambience. This place has won me over though.

I love this coffee shop my husband and I come here at least once a week. The food is good, and the drinks are good. The only reason I give it 3 starts is because there have been multiple times, and I mean multiple times that they do not get our order correct. Today, I ordered a breakfast sandwich with turkey and the works. The sandwich I got only had egg avocado and arrugala, I didn't have time to check the food as I had a crying baby in the car and just wanted to get home (first time mom). I was very disappointed as I got home and started to eat my sandwich just to taste that this was a basic sandwich, yet I paid extra for the works. I advise everyone to check their food before they pull out because the majority of the time, your order will be incorrect.

I wanted to like this place more. I am all for smaller coffee shops vs Starbucks but I am afraid this misses the mark. The cold brew was not good at all, and the other drinks I tried were okay..nothing special given the high price tag. the food was legit though. I recommend for breakfast sandwiches only (get the large one) the rest are dinky for the price, and drive a quarter mile to Starbucks for your coffee where the quality is consistent. I was hoping for a copier vibe inside but it feels like an unfinished warehouse? I dont know how to describe. the drive thru line is also always a damn mess, perhaps that means business is good? mediocre

I’m a big fan of the breakfast bagels here! Unfortunately, I haven’t had the same luck with the coffee. I’ve given their lattes a try a few times, but they consistently have a burnt taste that’s hard to overlook. Wish I loved the coffee as much as the food!

I am a HUGE coffee person and the coffee quality here is actually soooo good!!! The customer service is great and super quick. My only complaint is that the past 5 coffee’s that I have gotten are only like 80% full. even when i get the large, it comes 80% full :( kind of lame considering you have to pay extra to size up. i hate being that person that complains and I am too shy to ask the employee at the time but I think this should be addressed maybe. First time going, didn't get a single smile by anyone, they seem "to busy" to help, apparently wifi "hasn't been working" for a week but somehow didn't communicate that in the beginning until I kept asking why the wifi wasn't connecting. Vanilla latte tasted very artificial, couldn't taste the espresso but could taste the syrup. The inside is nice, just not a good experience. Not sure if I'll give it a try again.

Consistently mess up orders, extremely frustrating. The food is great, but they ALWAYS mess up the order. It’s impressive how many times they can give me the incorrect order. It wouldn’t be that big of a deal if they had a number for us to call and get a refund. But no they don’t and you have to drive back, and I’m over doing that.

This place has absolutely no idea how basic customer service works. We were still actively ordering at the intercom when we tried to switch one drink for a different one. Before we could even finish our order, the employee cut us off and snapped, “You can’t switch your drink, we already made it.” That is not our problem. We were not done ordering. Instead of listening, they flat-out refused to let us continue ordering and wouldn’t allow us to order the drink we actually wanted. Who does that? A coffee shop that literally turns away paying customers in the middle of an order. When we pulled up to the window, the worker became defensive and dismissive, and still couldn’t give a clear or reasonable explanation for why a simple swap was impossible. No apology. No attempt to fix it. No accountability. Just attitude. It honestly felt like the staff cared more about being right than doing their job. If you don’t want to serve customers, don’t work in customer service. Completely unprofessional, unnecessarily rude, and shockingly inflexible. Take your money somewhere that actually respects it.
