Omg absolutely delicious!! Food is given Caribbean authentic down!! Kay served me , it gets busy but it’s super worth the wait !
Took 1 star because the jerk chicken sometimes is dry and hard. But when it's good it's good! Update: The flavor of the food has upgraded! My Jamaican co workers and I liked the food before but now we love the food! The curry goat, rice and peas, fish, jerk chicken.. so good! Better than before! Service is still good and the prices can't be beat! It's quick good Jamaican food. The best chicken patty I’ve ever had. They are very pleasant and friendly. When I want home cooked food but don’t feel like cooking I think of this place. I’m so glad they are in Staten Island. Blessings to this place❤️
Super affordable and friendly service! Ordered a large ox tail that came with rice and peas plus a side of my choice. There were at least 8 pieces of oxtail, enough of a meal for 2.

The best Caribbean food spot on the Island and we don't have many
Their food is definitely a better option to other culture food places. You get a lot of food for the price and every dish is very tasty. My favorite is the rice and peas with oxtail and plantains. They are very hygienic; They changed gloves after each serving.
I was nearby and decided to Google a Jamaican restaurant. Holland Bay did not disappoint. Right now, they are only doing take out but that's totally fine because it's a small place anyway. I ordered oxtail with rice and peas, and jerk chicken with rice and peas. He even let me try the spinach, which was so delicious and got me regretting not ordering any today. My orders came with three sauces, all of which were very yummy. Be prepared to wait a few minutes, cus this guy behind the counter is so chill and taking his time (not a bad thing at all) with every customer.
The server was professional and friendly. Place was super clean. Server took our order then washed his hands before getting our food set up. Food was fresh and delicious! Definitely will be back. I enjoyed the mac n cheese and oxtail for sure - would definitely recommend that!
The most delicious meal I ate in NYC hands down. Wow what a meal this was. Rice and beans, curry chicken, plantain, Mac and cheese and oxtails with gravy are the dishes to try. Unfortunately the area is a little rough so be mindful if you’re a tourist coming from the Ferry station. But it is well worth it. And the price cannot be beaten for such generous portions
I don't do reviews much, but my wife was craving Jamaican Food and I was not looking to drive on a weekend to Brooklyn (gas, toll, road rage etc...) I found this restaurant and being on the island I did not mind the drive. Its by the court house so weekends here parking is easy to find. Small shop only one table, mainly I would presume a to-go spot, but you can dine in as well if they have room. Now to the food. Curry Chicken , Jerk Chicken, Rice and Beans and White rice. Baked Mac and cheese and Plantains. large plates each, everything was AMAZING..I forgot the steamed veggies also amazing! Service was good, they let you eat in peace, and gave the occasional "need anything" which was fine. Nothing was stale, everything was fresh. Best thing for me was the food, duh! Would I go back? YES Would I cater a party with their food? YES Can I close my pants right now? NO....Be careful what you ask for when they say medium or large. Enjoy!
The customer service I received on the phone was very warm, professional, efficient, and accommodating. It set the tone for the well-prepared meal, that was in store. My ackee and saltfish, boiled dumplings, and yams gave me such nostalgia. I was instantly back to my childhood, Sunday morning breakfast and my Mom draining saltfish she'd soak from the night before. ❤️Meals that I crave. They've definitely earned my rating, and patronage. Big up yourself, Holland Bay!
Been doing take out from here for years. Its always delicious and fresh. Love the Oxtails, the greens. Grew up eating goat and have had it so many ways, their goat strew is divine. The pumpkin shrimp is my new crave. Theyre always friendly, Profesional and Kind. Doing food right is a primary skill for any food seller....they rock it. That last part - Kindness is the icing on the cake especially these days. Give em a try and support local businesses. 💕
I live in South Jersey and I was in Staten Island visiting my god sister and her husband I was recommended by them so I picked up food on my way home. The food was delicious I had the jerk chicken and the sauce was good as well.Rice and peas and cabbage was good as well.definitley will be back again when I am on the island
Skeptical of West Indian restaurants in Staten Island but this is definitely tasty 😋 the Mac and cheese was delicious the cabbage 😋 the oxtail was phenomenal . Definitely recommend this place to anyone missing Caribbean food
Fantastic food. Very delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Friendly staff + quick service.
Delicious! Big fan of the curry goat and jerk chicken. Recommend adding gravy from stew chicken over the rice - yum! All the sides are delicious. Beef foot soup has sweet corn and carrots, very creamy. They were out of mac and cheese - I'm guessing because it's so good. Brief walk from the ferry, totally worth it. You gotta try it.

Went out on a limb and tried Holland....it actually turned out to be great food!!!!! Didn't have dine in like it said so thats why I gave it a 4-star. So take it on the go and your good.!!! I had the turkey and spinach. With rice and beans... finished it all!!!. Just wish no bone with the turkey meat... remove that and just have loose turkey. That would make it better!!! So much better.!!!!!

Don’t go there, it’s not good. I spent $16 there I regret it.
The man at the register is very rude and makes nasty comments to the customers. Not good customer service. The small eating area appears run down and they fill most of the takeout plates with rice and less of the dish you ordered. The jerk chicken was overcooked and some meat was hard and dry. Will take the drive to Brooklyn for better Caribbean food and service.
