Lovely spot with a stunning view overlooking Isola Pescatori and Isola Bella! The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing — perfect for a leisurely lunch or evening drink. The house wine was just €5 and turned out to be a delicious Barbera — rich and full of flavor, true Piedmont quality. I had the meat tartare, and as always, it was excellent — but of course, it’s Piedmontese meat, it never disappoints! Definitely a place I’d come back to for the view, the wine, and the great food.

We went there after visiting the Borromean Islands. The restaurant was very nice. Friendly staff and good food in affordable prices. The view is stunning. There was no service fee (coperto). They also have a dinner menu after 7pm but I don’t have any photos

We came here twice: before and after visiting ISOLA BORROMEE We love squeeze orange juice. It’s fresh Espresso was also excellent. Near parking lot and port for going to small island. The negative side is only toilet coz it’s only one toilet and lots of people :(

Very nice atmosphere here close to Stresa with a beautiful view. A good place for a cheap and a light lunch. I’d recommend the Panini over the Maxi Toast. The French Fries were also very good 😊 🍟

Quickly accessible from both the pier and the cableway, with a nice view of Isola Bella, this is a great stop for a quick and healthy lunch. The dishes are very good, comparable to more expensive alternatives in Stresa. The menu offers good choices, mostly fish based. Service is straightforward and very efficient.

Ottimo luogo dove poter mangiare al "volo" prima di scoprire le bellezze di Stresa. Il bar/ristoro si trova accanto alla funicolare, difronte ad un parcheggio e accanto all'imbarco dei battelli per il tour del lago. Oltre alla buona qualità dei piatti (tiramisù spettacolo!!), una bella terrazza sul lago che fa godere il panorama... certo un caffè 1,50 euro è un po' eccessivo secondo me però il posto merita.

Ristorante informale che avrebbe bisogno di una ristrutturazione. Il servizio è discreto mentre i piatti sono ottimi. I tagliolini con la salsiccia, in bianco, erano buonissimi e la scaloppina con prosciutto e formaggio saporita e tenera. Il contorno di verdure grigliate molto buono. Prezzi più che onesti. All'idrovolante ci si può mettere a vitto a pranzo e cena senza problemi, mangiando benissimo e spendendo poco.

"VISTA SUL LAGO E ISOLE" Accanto all'imbarcadero per le Isole Borromee c'è la stazione della funivia per il Mottarone ed un bar con affaccio panoramico sul Lago. La sua veranda affacciata sulle splendide isole Borromee è veramente un invito ad un buon inizio di giornata. Ci siamo fermati per colazione durante il venerdì ed il servizio è stato cortese e veloce. Le brioches 🥐 non sono state niente di che ed il costo forse eccessivo ma dato il luogo forse si può chiedere un occhio.

Ottimo spritz e fantastico antipasto hanno reso questo mio arrivo al Lago Maggiore top! Pranzo un po' meno soddisfacente (tagliata servita come cottura media anche se avevamo detto al sangue), così come la gentilezza del personale, aspetti da curare visto il posto strategico vicino all' imbarcadero di Carciano.

Per quanto fosse affollato e decisamente fuori orario siamo stati serviti velocemente. Discrete anche le pietanze. Staff cortese e professionale. Prezzi nella media del luogo e del settore. Un po scomode le sedute. Nel complesso bene.

La location è carina, con una bellissima vista sul Lago Maggiore e sulle sue isole. La terrazza esterna che si affaccia sul lago è davvero piacevole. Abbiamo ordinato due gelati: un affogato al cioccolato e uno al caffè. I gelati sono nella media. I prezzi sono un po' alti, ma considerando la posizione suggestiva, risultano comunque accettabili. Il personale è cortese, anche se senza particolare entusiasmo: si può trovare di meglio, ma anche di peggio. È sicuramente un posto carino dove passare un pomeriggio diverso dal solito. Unico aspetto negativo: la terrazza è coperta da tende che, nelle giornate ventose, vengono chiuse completamente. Se c'è il sole e si è in piena estate, questo può creare un effetto serra fastidioso e si rischia di soffrire il caldo e di bruciarsi. Nel complesso, lo consiglio e ci tornerò volentieri quando sarò di nuovo a Stresa.

Mi permetto di parlare della mia esperienza, che è stata abbastanza fugace. Sono passata in questo locale infatti per un semplice caffè e subito la prima cosa che mi ha colpita è stata la vista magnifica sul lago, oscurata però dall’ambiente un po’ trascurato e oserei dire “antiquato”. La mia quindi vuole essere semplicemente una critica costruttiva, ritengo infatti che con qualche semplice miglioria il locale possa acquisire uno status decisamente diverso, e si sa che per il cliente il primo impatto è sempre molto importante.

locale situato in posizione stupenda, una delle più belle che ci possano essere, di fronte alle isole borromee (letteralmente vicinissime!!). l'arredamento non è particolarmente prestigioso ma la posizione fa moltissimo. il menù è ok, ad un prezzo onesto considerata appunto l'ubicazione. consigliata la carne. meglio prenotare se si vuole mangiare in terrazza.

Bar ristorante con posizione bellissima, si può stare al tavolo praticamente toccando l'acqua del lago. La location è incantevole. Il personale molto disponibile e gentile. A cena purtroppo avevamo finito i secondi di pesce quindi ho dovuto mangiare carne. Cucina buona, ma mi piacerebbe provare altro in futuro per una migliore valutazione. Ci tornerò con piacere!

Been coming to this gem year after year and it’s one of my favorite places to grab a drink, a snack, or have a meal! The location of this restaurant is amazing with a stunning view on the Borromean islands (notably Isola Bella & Isola dei Pescatori). The staff is friendly and overall good, and the owner is very welcoming. The prices of this location are very reasonable making it a top tier for cocktails and a nice time! Food-wise, the menu is light making it easy to select your choice, and the food reflects the simplicity and authenticity of italian dishes. Lastly, this restaurant is located next to boat services which bring you to the islands, as well as a small beach giving you access to enjoy Laggo Maggiore! Grazie mille L’idro, a presto😉

Best things first: the view could hardly be better. Floating above Lago Maggiore, we had a great sunset and view on the lake & mountains even though it was rainy. We had dinner there. The food was very good & the service fast, friendly and good. It's a bit outside the city center, however that makes it perfect for a calmer evening .

Locale semplice ma con una vista bellissima sul lago. Servizio veloce, menù limitato a piatti turistici. I tranci di pizza sono ben lontani dal sembrare buoni come una pizza, nell'insalata col tonno probabilmente hanno versato tutto l'olio che c'era nella scatola di tonno, era allagato si olio come si vede nel fondo del piatto (a saperlo non aggiungevo il filo di olio seppure almeno era extravergine mentre quello del tonno no), il pollo con riso e verdure senza infamia e senza lode. Penso si possano trovare locali migliori dove nel menù ci sono anche piatti a base di pesce magari, questo è più adatto a clienti stranieri.

Locale non particolarmente curato ma dalla posizione invidiabile. Con quella vista potrebbe ambire a molto di più. Tavoli apparecchiati in modo informale e servizio sbrigativo ma gentile. Prezzi bassi e quantità corrette. Non ho mangiato nulla che sia degno di nota ma tutto mangiabile. Buona la scelta dei vini. Mi permetto di suggerire un piccolo sforzo nella cura dei dettagli x fare la differenza e offrire un servizio è un'esperienza migliori ai clienti.

Very convenient location if waiting for the next boat to Borromeo islands or to eat something before going up to Mottarone. However, the staff was very unattentive, portions were small for the price and it also wasn't that tasty.
