Breakfast one morning with my wife made us know the JS had to stand for Jesus Saves! We were pleasantly pleased to find the crowd coming through was a sign that everyone knew about the experience we were about to have. I was greeted with a smile as my wife found us a seat and the host took my order. I told her we'd be staying and she invited me to have a seat, as she would serve our meal. The music was inspirational, the aroma of deliciousness filled the air and the food was plated and presented perfectly. Yes, we came hungry and JS did not disappoint! My wife and I have traveled miles in the past to eat the quality of food that is now in our backyard. Another gem has been found in the Jewel of Jamaica - Jesus Saves!

Definitely something Rochdale mall needed. The food is amazing, and the customer service is on point. The line was long when I got there, now I know why. The food was delicious!

New Dominican Spot, Food is so good. That stew beef, rice and plantain so good. Also staff is very nice, great customer service!!! Keep it up, I see longevity with this restaurant.

The food was amazing. The flavor of the oxtail was phenomenal. I mean paying $21 for 6 pieces is crazy buy hey it's 2026. Now, regarding payment be ware their payment machine. Whereas you can normally click past leaving a tip this was not an option and when my $21 bill came up to $26 the cashier answered, "yeah, you had to choose no for the extra." Or maybe you should make it clear tip will be added at 25%!!!!! of you're not quick enough to catch it before the sale processes. Note to self.. pay with cash.🤨

The food was good. However, the 3 stars come from bad customer service. At the end, I nicely walked to the cash register and gave $10 tip to the "fake blonde" dominican waitress who served us. But she looked at me like she was too good for my tip and was making faces to the cashier next to her. Attitude was so uncalled for. Nobody has time for uneccessary nonsense. Keep it business! If you are too good for the job or think you are better than some people, working at a restaurant is not the job for you!

Food was mediocre, I had a spoiled beef empanada, and the chicken empanada tasted disgusting. My parents order a tripe soup but it had a smelly odor. I asked for a replacement for their spoiled beef empanadas and they flat out ignored me. Not coming back here again

I went into the restaurant a little after 1:00 pm. I was asking the women who's behind the counter, what the price of the fish was? She told me but when I got to the cashier things didn't quite add up so I asked her to come over and explain well, this woman came yelling saying "I told you three times" I had to demand that she bring her voice down. This is totally unacceptable behavior. Let me tell something. I'am an afro Latina senior citizen, they were talking and I understood what they said but they didn't know that. I'm not done with this issue either! 12/29/25 It was a little after 5:00pm I was looking in the window of the restaurant at the food. I saw the lady that I had an issue with prior. I asked her if I could have a word with her. She didn't recognize me at first, I reminded her who I was from the other day, her smile immediately changed and I told her that I wanted to clear the air because I'm Christian and I live here in Rochdale. I honestly did the best I could to try to make her understand that I believe that it was simply a verbal communication issue. The conversation was unsuccessful. Her response was "Well I don't know what's your problem" also, she said she has somebody that's related to her is a Lieutenant in the Bronx. She said she knows I wrote something about her but her boss loves her! I'm not even sure this is an apology? I told her that I'm an upstanding member of this community and that she got loud and nasty to me for asking the price of fish. She says I'm sorry for you if you no like it? Did she mean to say she's sorry or did she mean what she said. My relatives didn't speak English when they came from Panama so I understand it can be challenging. I would like to say this to her Boss as she calls you or the owner. I have helped a lot of the African Americans in the buildings with ordering and explaining what some foods are like Mondongo my favorite! One thing I can tell you for sure. I don't need anything for free. I would like to see a response on here. I will not be ignored!

My family and I were really looking forward to trying this newly opened restaurant. The customer service was fine and the place itself looks nice, but unfortunately our experience with the food was very disappointing and concerning. After bringing our meals home, my wife noticed something strange in her white rice — to our shock, it was a rice worm. We immediately stopped eating and threw out all of the food. On top of that, the turkey leg I ordered was undercooked and not prepared properly. This completely ruined our appetite and left us feeling uneasy about the food’s safety and handling. It’s a shame because we wanted to support a new local restaurant, but this experience really needs to be addressed. I hope management takes this seriously and improves their food safety practices moving forward.

When I say "They take too dam longg" OMG! it took them 25 minutes to make Toast and aside of bacon!!!!????? Smh
