Vamos a repetir 100%.
One of the best restaurants in the Albufera for paella or any rice dish! Whenever we're in the area, we always try to go back! I highly recommend the Senyoret rice dish or the Fideuà, as well as the tellines appetizers and their salad with local tomatoes. All their desserts are homemade and delicious. Parking is very convenient, as there's plenty of space at the entrance!
A family meal: cod fritters, clams from the beach, a delicious salad with tomatoes from El Perelló, pickled peppers, etc., etc. Absolutely delicious, and a chicken and rabbit paella with its spectacular "socarrat" (crispy bottom layer), cooked over a wood fire. The service was quick, friendly, and professional, served on the terrace. I highly recommend it to my 278,240 current TripAdvisor readers; excellent value for money.
Best paella/rice in the area. Great views overlooking the rice fields. Best of all, the service. Genuine Spanish! Super friendly, though you need to be familiar with it, as it is not all “please&than you”. The waiting staff might crack a joke at you and if you are not fluent in Spanish culture it could make you raise you eyebrows. Don’t miss it! It is Valencia at its best. As a starter make sure to order tomato salad with tomatoes from El Perelló
You absolutely have to eat here. The rice we ordered was spectacular. It was the first time we've ever tasted rice better than what we usually make at home. A visit to this place is a must. The service is excellent. The staff has a great atmosphere, as it's a family-run business, and you can tell they have no room for nonsense. If you want to go somewhere to eat really well, this is definitely the place. The dessert was also delicious, and the French toast was perfectly cooked. Special mention to the young woman who served us with a smile the whole time; that's much appreciated during stressful service. The setting is like stepping into a village; the food is what matters here, and the views are of the rice paddies. I hope this helps those who are wondering where to try authentic Valencian rice dishes. Ordering water, rice for two, and two desserts came to about 20 euros. A very good price for the high quality of the food. Please note that dogs are not allowed.
A restaurant for people who want to have breakfast or lunch in a place like the ones they always have. Have a grilled breakfast on the weekends, with salad and quality cremaets next to a former roadside gas station (no longer in service) And for lunch, tomato salad is essential. All the dishes are delicious and the paella is very good on a wood fire in the back garden overlooking the marsh. I've been there a thousand times and I'll keep going until the doctor says it's okay. A delight from the Ribera Baixa. Abstain from Instagrammers who want to take a little photo to collect four measly likes. Here you come to enjoy life!
Friendly service lovely food at very reasonable prices. Really nice place to stop for super nice lunch. Franz & Beata
I'd heard about the sandwiches at this restaurant next to a gas station near Mareny de Barraquetes, but I'd never been. I was pleasantly surprised, though. The interior has a special charm; it reminds me of a museum from the last century, complete with typical period utensils. There's also a really cool back patio terrace that they were setting up—I imagine it'll be more for lunch—and a front terrace where I had my meal. It was very spacious with lots of tables. It was busy, even though it was early 👍🏻, but I really liked the place. As for the sandwiches, I stuck to my usual horse meat with spring garlic and cheese, and I have to say it was quite good. And, as is typical of Valencian cuisine, I had a small salad and some peanuts to go with it. The price was very reasonable; I think it was around seven euros per person, which I think is excellent for a lunch of this quality. The staff was very quick and attentive. A place I definitely recommend and will be visiting again very soon! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Tipical Valencian place to have late breakfast usually known in the area as "esmorsaret". You can choose your sandwich and sit outside overlooking the albufera. Simple food and authentic atmosphere!!!
Traditional bar-restaurant in the Valencian lagoon. A morning stop for cyclists looking for a varied lunch and grilled meat. For lunch, they offer good Valencian paella and arroz del señoret (rice with "el señoret"). The Valencian salad comes with a generous portion of sweet white onion and pickled green peppers. The homemade desserts are well-prepared, including a biscuit and chocolate cake, apple tarte tatin, and a good cremaet.
We went for lunch. The place is rather quaint with those vintage cars scattered around and a closed gas station with a retro feel. The restaurant is completely informal, and even some areas, like the restrooms and the outdoor park, need maintenance. The service was fine, and the food... just okay. There were few calamari and they were very small on the plate; the tellinas (wedge clams) were good, the paella was a bit overcooked but flavorful, and the only reason it gets four stars is the tomato in the salad. What a fantastic tomato! But of course, you can't just make that kind of thing, you have to choose it well. So it barely makes the cut for four stars...
I'm not giving them 5stars because of the flies (very very very annoying) and the excessive heat in the garden. Neither of that is restaurant problem though. In regards of the quality of the food and the balance quality/price everything was outstanding. The environment is great, with very nice views of Albufera rice fields. I would recommend the restaurant to add some fans and also to try to avoid the flies. I would say is better to go there not during the summer. Better when the weather is not as hot. In any case a place that you have to try. Authentic Valencian. Tomato salad very impressive.
Ideal para ir con niños por su extensión para que jueguen. Dispone de terraza grande con vistas a los arrozales. Comida normal. Servicio rápido amable y atento.
In short, for a bit more you can go to the town El Palmar where your options are terrific. We paid 80€: the tomato salad was great but paella had sand on it, taste wasnt the best, and it was really expensive.
We went for lunch yesterday, Tuesday, December 8th, with a reservation. No problem at all. There were two adults and two small children. The restaurant has a covered terrace, very well ventilated. They have a children's playground that's a bit run down. It's a shame because they have plenty of space and interesting terrain, more than enough to maintain it in better condition. The ambiance and noise level were good. The service was excellent. They don't have a menu or a QR code to see the prices. I personally like to see the prices to avoid surprises like the one we got at the end with the bill. The tapas were good. We ordered El Perelló tomatoes, grilled cuttlefish, and tellinas (wedge clams). The tomatoes were spectacular, with sweet onion that wasn't spicy at all and peppers with plenty of flesh. The grilled cuttlefish was also good. The tellinas seemed reheated; they were good, but a little dry. For our main course, we ordered a seafood paella (for three). Very tasty, but a bit tough and overpowering. The homemade desserts were especially good. I recommend the cremaet (a traditional Valencian coffee drink); they make it well. All these drawbacks are what led me to give this restaurant 2 stars (out of 5), and of course, the worst part was the price. The quality/price ratio is not good. It cost us 115 euros, almost 30 euros per person including two small children. 4.5 euros per dessert seems excessive, 15 euros for a Chardonnay Illera white wine that costs 5 euros in large supermarkets... seems excessive, and the most noteworthy thing... the tomato salad from El Perelló... 15 euros!!! Are we crazy? It's highway robbery. We're from Valencia, we spend our summers in El Perelló, and we practically live off El Perelló tomatoes, and at this price, they've gone way too far. The conclusion is that to spend that kind of money, I'd rather go to other farmhouses or restaurants in Valencia (I'd rather not name names) with better quality, similar views, suitable for children, and above all, something more affordable.
Somebody recommended this restaurant. Went there. Not a single guest were at the tables or in the restaurant(!) Staff told us we need a reservation a day ahead so they can't serve us. Ok got it... Than just asked for a glass of water, so we can hit the road. Even that glass of water they declined... 🤷🏽🤷🏽
I went for lunch with my parents because they had recommended it. I must admit the sandwich wasn't bad, BUT as soon as we arrived, they forced us to sit on a terrace where the sun was blazing, even though we could have sat on the terrace with shade, plenty of space, and lots of free tables (we deduced it was because they had to set up the tables that weren't ready yet). Later, when they took our order, the waiter forgot to bring our drinks and brought the sandwiches before them, but luckily there was a very attentive and friendly waitress who noticed and brought our drinks right away. The place in general looked very dirty, which gives a bad impression of hygiene. While setting up the tables, the waiter was smoking, putting his hands on the glasses he was placing on the table while taking drags (unheard of!). Last but not least, while we were having lunch, there were over 30-40 flies buzzing around our heads and sandwiches, and it was so disgusting that we had to get up and leave. In fact, we had our coffee somewhere else. I'm sorry, but I absolutely do not recommend this place.
Average lunches, fast and friendly service, somewhat high prices. We ordered a tortilla pincho with two slices of ham for a two-year-old and were charged €7. But what we liked least was that we came here because of a review we'd read that said it was ideal for children to play with. But in the children's area, there wasn't a single toy that wasn't missing something or downright broken... not to mention the state of the facilities, which included elements that were dangerous for a children's area, such as nails out of place or completely splintered slats. They should pay more attention to these details or simply limit access to the children's area to avoid possible accidents.
Stopped here for coffee and toastada as it has always been busy when we have been past. Coffee was weak and milky and the toastada appeared almost immediately suggesting it had been prepared in advance. The cost for two coffees and two toastadas was €7!!!!! Avoid if you don't want to be taken advantage of.
