Seems like we visited on a good day. We saw something cooking outside as we were passing. We asked the workers inside. I don't think they speak English so when they said "jalebi" we had to look it up. It is something that they are good at making. We ordered the savory item next to it, aloo tikki. Like a smothered potato cake. It was tasty. We also ordered sweets and it was fresh. The language issue was challenging but we got our order and it was a good experience.
I adore this place for its hot jalebis and raj kachori. They are unmatched. We visited Saturday night around 8:30 PM, and ordered Chole Bature, Raj Kachori, Jalebi and Malpoa. The raj kachori is delicious, crisp on the outside and bursting with sweetened yogurt and ending the palate parade with a flavor bomb of chat masala. The live jalebi counter, is a must try. You are served crispy and sweet delicacy. Must try. The other dishes were great too! Will definitely re-visit.
Amazing food. Vada Pav was very tasty. Chaat was fresh without any aftertaste from yogurt. It seemed dinner time was very busy so we got our order super late. We had to wait almost 30 minutes for our tandoori roti while chola was already there getting cold. The owner was nice enough to apologize in person and gave us some complimentary Jalebi, which by the way is the highlight of this place. I would definitely relive my childhood memories theough here by getting hot Pyaaz Kachori and hot Jalebi for morning breakfast. Soooo good!!!
This is a small place for seating. We tried: 1. Rasmalai 4/5 - this was good. 2. Gulab Jamun - I had black one (not brown) and they were really good. 5/5 3. Jalebi - no doubt, it was the best jalebi so far I have tried in the states. Crispy and juicy. 5/5 4. Tikki - omg! This is the best north indian tikki chaat i have ever had here in the states. I am from Houston and I never had this level of tasty tikki even there. This is worth a try. 5. Chhole bhature - bhature were fine but chhole were not that good in taste ( i felt something stale taste). Chhole were looking good but taste was a bit disappointing. 3/5
We had a great time at the restaurant. Had heard a lot about the jalebis and it didn't disappoint at all. We did order some snacks as well. The kachori aloo and the aloo tikki were really delicious and crispy. The chole bhature were not so good, the chole lacked flavor and the bhature were a bit hard. The paratha was not good either. The jalebis definitely stole the show and were a big hit in our group. There were hot and flavorful. Lots of seating available at the restaurant.
We visited here at 9:30pm friday night and was lucky to get hot and fresh kachori and Jalebi. Jalebi - just too good. Hot, thin and crispy as it should be. Pyaaz kachori - good in taste. I was expecting it to be crispy (khasta) but it was more soft even after being very fresh. I will visit again to try them again and to try more options.
The ambience is dull and sad but the food is good. I wish they had similar vibe of original Bikanervala in Delhi. We ordered Jalebi - which they make fresh, it’s think crispy hot so absolutely delicious!! Also ordered rasmalai which was good too along with Choley Bhature - nice Bhature but not exactly like you get in Delhi still closest ones I have eaten in the Bay Area, choley looked pretty good but taste was average. No pickled onions which adds that oomph factor to Choley Bhature but rather had raw onions, green chili and lemon wedge. Overall it’s good but not same as we get in northern india.
Such an amazing and wholesome experience. Being a North Indian , I always enjoy some good Rajasthani meal. We went here last night, Bikanos and Bikaner Sweet is owned by same person but their menu and kitchen is different as Bikaner sweets is vegetarian only and Bikanos is not. But you can order from Bikaner sweets and sit at Bikanos to enjoy your meal. Coming to the food part, we had Pani puri (9/10) , Raj Kachori (8/10), Onion Kachori (10/10) , Chole bhature (8/10) , Malai Kofta (10/10), Kulcha (2/10) very hard , Garlic Naan (6/10) , Aloo Bedmi (7/10), Gatte ki sabji (1/10) not good at all! , Jalebi (1000/10) soo fresh and crispy!!! I'm definitely coming back for the Kachori and Jalebi :)
Horrible customer service and sub par food for the price. We used to love the alu tikki and kachori but have been seeing the quality drop drastically and how. The service is even worse which is concerning with the folks taking more orders than they can serve and refusing refunds when orders aren’t fulfilled. We used to get the Rabri and jalebi and chum chums which are still good but unfortunately because of their poor service, they’ve lost repeat customers
Update: Beware of ordering sweets here. Almost everything is stale and moldy. I found mold on the served milk cake. Though they threw that piece on mentioning the mold, but another piece was served from the same tray. The same day, rabri served with jalebi was stale and sour. Atleast when reported back, they accept their mistake and replace the bad stuff. Old: I love the kachori here. This is the only place I found which serves kachori with aloo sabzi (the typical desi style I know). Aloo kachori has 2 kachoris with aloo sabzi for $9.99. It is also famous for the fresh desi ghee jalebi (5 pieces for $6.99). Caution: I found infestation on motichoor laddoos. Last time I tried motichoor here, they were the best I had in bay area. This time, found fungus on them. I told the owner and he did not even check the stuff. I wonder if he will remove the batch. So, be cautious while having the sweets here.
we order samosa and kachori from them and samosa was cold and kachori was more harder even than stone we cant chew it we wasted our money here and ruined our afternoon too
The rasmalai i got was good. But the experience was really bad. I ordered samosas and asked the lady if they could make fresh for me. She said yes, if she had said no i would not have bothered to order. Then she made me wait 15 minutes. I was seeing her take the old tray with stale samosas inside and come out with our order. As I expected the samosa was stale except it was just thrown in the oil for couple seconds.
The sweets were stale and seemed old. This has happened twice with takeout orders. They may appear fine at the time of purchase, but they develop fungus within a day.
I have always ordered from here they have always been respectful and good. These days the new hires that work there have been super disrespectful and being arrogant. Description and the picture on the app don't match with what they. We ordere aloo tikki as described in the DoorDash app which has the description of aloo tikki cholay. I called twice to confirm. But they ended up giving only two pieces of aloo tikki with nothing. When I called to confront they argued profusely and disconnected. Super disrespectful to customers. Management needs to take a look at their hiring practices.
Worst customer service experience: 1) charged for items more than the price advertised on the menu 2) regardless of who orders first, the customer demanding their order gets the order first 3) staff acted rudely when asked for a little onions on the aloo tikki, even when offered to pay extra 4) served burnt aloo paratha, when we complained about it, the server took it inside and brought the same dish out again with burnt sections removed. Very poor service.
