Wow!!!! Place is small but don't let that fool you. There are lots of traditional tasty dishes to choose from. I had lechon kawali, pork adobo and sisig. Their Irresistibly indulgent lechon kawali (pork belly) is deep-fried to golden perfection. The skin is super crispy but the meat is super juicy and tender. Their lechon kawali is very savory and undeniably delicious. Paired it with the “sarsa” or sauce with some rice and I am in heaven. This literally brings me back to my childhood memories. The adobo was very flavorful. Meat is so tender with a perfect balance of sweet, salty and sour. It will melt in your mouth goodness. Definitely recommend this. Sisig was good and spicy. Customer service is exceptional…second to none! Ate Rose (owner) was serving me. She was very friendly, kind and professional. She answered all my questions and was very engaging. Servings are generous, prices are very reasonable and actually cheap compared to other Filipino restaurants. I purposely came after the lunch rush so there were lots of parking. I definitely and highly recommend this place!
Excellent Filipino food at good prices. One meat with rice and soup is only $12. Turon and Halo-Halo are delicious too.
This place is amazing and a must try for Filipino food! My favorites are the pork adobo and sour soup. The soup is so good I've tried to make it at home, but nothing compares, instant comfort with one slurp.
My favorite Filipino restaurant! I’ve been going here probably 20+ years, every dish I’ve ever had has always been good.
My go to if I'm close to sunnyvale and I'm hankering for some filipino comfort foods. Prices have gone up, but so is everywhere else, but food here fills me up and leaves me satisfied 😌. The owner s are always soo friendly and accommodating so I'll keep coming back for years.
The food is great! Real authentic Filipino recipes. The service is superb and price is fair. Pinakbet with extra OKRA are amongst my favorite, I order this each time I go. Next is dinakdakan. The chicaron is crunchy plus free soup! The owner is super nice and I call her mother 😀🍽👍🥂. One of the best Filipino restaurant in Sunnyvale. I highly recommend.
We were blessed beyond our expectations with this visit. This is our last night in California and I wanted food that we can't get at home. Rene, Rose and thier kitchen help are super friendly, they demonstrated a sincere love for us, my wife even exchanged phone numbers with Rose. The food was great, everything tastes great, this is a must for anyone in the area.
I prefer this place over all other Filipino establishments based solely on the service. The people are nice. I don't get that enough in my Filipino interactions, so it carries a lot of weight. Pancit is my go-to Filipino dish and I can go through an order entirely on my own even though they're usually shared just as much as a heap of white rice is. They seem to just leave the pancit out with lids open to keep them from getting sweaty and soggy. Not my thing, but I don't care. Lemon, toss a bit, and just like new. Everything else I had was just as a good as any other place I've been, so you can't go wrong with this place. Distance is the only factor keeping me from visiting more often.
Best chicken adobo and fried turns, my go to place for a Filipino food lunch. Rose is exceptionally nice, and I've never been when she's not there. The owner being onsite really does make the experience the best it can be. Salamat po ms Rose🌹!!
Really good authentic Filipino food just like how mom makes it. Would definitely come back here again when im in the area. Their beef mechado and lechon is an absolute must!
It was our first time to eat there and was pleasantly surprised to taste authentic Filipino food! Excellent and friendly service! We enjoyed our dinner!
Always the best tasting food!! Rose never disappoints. Her food always tastes like it's made with love and made for her family. Great customer service, always above and beyond.
Got the pinakbet and Dinuguan. Definitely recommend. Soul food right here. 10/10
This place is ridiculous. Food so good it makes you cry and staff so friendly you would think you were family (the ones on the good side). Love to all and thanks!
Great food. Different and delicious. They gave us samples and we ordered a dish with a bit of everything. We'll go again.
The lechon is legit! And everything I ate was rich and delicious! It felt like eating at my Lola's, which is the highest compliment I can give them.
It’s my first time eating Philippine food, I had pork adobo and it was great. Also had pork in pork blood. It’s good ,just way more Concentrated pork flavor.
Small place with some big flavors and excellent service. Had the fried pork with sauce, beef with onions and adobo pork. All excellent. Reasonably priced for sure.
Ordered 100 Piece Lumpia Tray less then 24 hours before a big Christmas party.l They were accommodating, friendly, affordable, and the food or in this case the Lumpia were outstanding. FIVE STARS THANK YOU
The pork belly and chicken adobo were very tasty
The food is always fresh and delicious, workers hands over awesome service. I liked the cleanliness and mood. I highly recommend this place.
My wife and I have been coming to Rene Rose since we lived in Mountain View ! 24 years and this IS the best Filipino restaurant in the Bay Area
Extremely friendly staff. They took the time to explain to us their offerings. Food was exceptionally delicious in a basic, traditional way. Tried most of the meats and each offered something unique. Highly recommend for a unique, easy going lunch.
This is your auntys point point restaurant. Wife and I Did a 2 item entree each. I got white rice, dinuguan, and lechon kawali. Both were solid. Gave spiced vinegar that compliments the lechon well. The wife ordered calderata and adobo. Was able to swap out rice for pancit, just like home cooking or food you’d get from your families party. Will definitely be back.
Probably the BEST restaurant I’ve ever been to in the Bay Area. And is one of the best I’ve been in the US. Food is so flavorful! Super clean, staff super nice and welcoming. Amazing experience! Good price, too. I will be coming back many and many times! Just come and try! I had the crispy pork, beef and potatoes, and chicken one (I forgot the name) but I’m guessing all here is good! The noodles also, perfect! Delicious food!
The food was great, everyone enjoyed what they had ordered, the lady serving the plates made sure we had enough food and even went back and added beef to mine because she felt it wasn't enough. They really are very sweet and the prices were very good, wishing them the best.
Absolutely delicious! I was on the fence about trying something new, but man I’m so glad I did. I ordered the combo plate with pork adobo and some fried meat, I forgot the name. But everything tasted so good. A comfort meal indeed. Highly recommended giving this place a try. Friendly and helpful staff as well. Felt like family. Give this business your business!!! 😁😁😁
It was my first time trying Filipino food. Service was great they were kind enough to let us try a sample a bit of Adobo, crispy pork and some other dishes that I didn’t know the name. The crispy pork was really good. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to eat Filipino food.
Best filipino food around! Authentic and service by the staff is like home.
First timer! The service was very good. Nice people and owner of this place was very nice as well. The food was great! The bistek and lechon kawali was excellent! And the soup, which taste like sinigang, was very comforting. I would highly recommend to try this place! Awesome and affordable!!!
Small point point joint in small strip mall. A bit run down, but many choices of delicious food are within. Fast, friendly service. Big portions. Best halo halo I've had on a long time (my Midwest can be a wasteland when looking for decent filipino food). Arrive hungry leave very full.
Adobe chicken, noodles and pork with potatoe...I am in heaven. Super delicious. I loved all the extra gravy, very authentic. Lovely people and very generous portions.
Super delicious and very authentic according to the many Filipino people eating here. I'll be back!

I’ve dined in here and got it delivery. Food is consistently good. The lumpia is always a hit and I love their bistek and sinigang.
The best Filipino food I’ve had so far!!
The food was phenomenal and the owner was super nice. She gave us a sampling of different options besides what we originally got. She gave us dessert as well. Def will be coming back!
I ordered 2 bite size orders of lumpia. I got 15 pcs in ea order for me & boyfriend. They were delicious. I’m going back for more I’ll probably make this Oder a weekly thing. It was very reasonable for the amount & taste.
The reviews are true - the food is absolutely delicious, and you can tell the quality. Customer service is vibrant and friendly, too. Do not mind the price difference as you're paying for what you pay for. It's worth every penny, trust me. Thank you, Tita! 😁
We ordered a large tray of lumpia to take to a party. Everyone loved it. A good value.

Edit: I do appreciate the fast response of the owner to my post and added a star. Thank you for that good customer service. Went for first time a couple of weeks ago (Friday) to get a quick lunch as takeout. They brought out a full pan of kare kare so I thought it was freshly made and asked for some. It was completely cold like from a fridge. It was almost completely sauce, a small piece of meat and 2 pieces tripe and some veggies. I'm pregnant so did not want to risk eating it. I wish they did not think it was okay to serve food in this condition. Please don't risk getting your customers sick and allowing them pay for food that isn't ready to eat.
The food was good and the owner is very friendly. She has been part of the community for so long. It was very encouraging to hear about the different filipino restaurants she's had in the area.
Good little restaurant in Sunnyvale. The variety of food was freshly cooked. The portions are good size and the prices are reasonable. The lechon was crispy and yummy - you could hear them chopping it up in the back. The location is so-so, but it’s all about the food!
We were visiting town on July 1 and decided to stop here for lunch. I got beef steak and rice. The price is a bit high but fair for the area and the portions are enough for the price. Theres limited seating but enough to move around. Parking is small but we’re lucky enough to park.
The luncheon kawale was cook prefect, but the lumpia taste a bit weird.

Small, OLDer restaurant in a very busy strip center. Food is Buffett style, so everything is sitting out, being kept hot. I like everything being made to order, but with Filipino food, that can be difficult. Very nice woman, who is the owner, helped me navigate the different foods behind the glass. No menus. (Pretty sure that she runs the place all by herself). You have to either point to something or if you know what it is, order it. Service is quick, as everything is already done, lol. Food was authentic and good. Kind of like being at a pot luck. I had the: Pork Adobo, the Pork w/Potatoes and the Lechon Kwali, over rice. She was out of Pancit, but had a small container with about 2 cups in it. She gave me half, so that I could try it. The restaurant is within walking distance of me. So, if that craving hits and I don't want to drive all the way to Topping Tree, I will definitely go back. Solid, authentic food. (Restaurant is a bit "off putting" inside).
The food is delicious but not worth the price. The portions are ridiculously small.
My forefathers and ancestors would be disappointed from all their sacrifices the made to come to this country and call this Filipino food. The cost is to much, the flavor is bland, it’s such a disappointment to the Filipino community. They charge $20 a plate with small portions and it’s $2 more if you want half pancit, half rice. Much nicer and better quality foods elsewhere. Do not waste your hard earned money here.
