Delicious food! A little on the pricey side but well worth it for a special occasion. Even throughout the pandemic they’ve been able to provide excellent service and food. They have a constantly rotating menu so there’s always something new to try out. They also have a great cocktail menu and wine list.
My husband and I dined here with another couple while visiting Winter Park, and everyone in our party raved about the food! We enjoyed the French onion soup, meatloaf, Chihuahua steak asada and two specials: potato leek soup and halibut special. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
We had our club meeting at Tabernash Tavern, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The atmosphere is cozy, lively, and full of that mountain-town charm — exactly the kind of place where you can relax, laugh, and enjoy good company. The pub food was fantastic. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of great flavor. You can tell the kitchen puts real care into the menu — it’s elevated comfort food with personality. The drink selection was great too, with plenty of options for everyone at the table. Service was friendly and efficient, even with a group. We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in, and the staff made sure everything ran smoothly. Highly recommend Tabernash Tavern for anyone looking for a fun, laid-back spot with excellent food. We’ll definitely be coming back!
The food was awesome trade Service Great Ambiance Justin was our waiter local man my husband had steak and I had the halibut to die for. they have three different dining areas. We dined in front but had options would have dined in back by the fireplace. now we know... this is the best food in the Granby area
Gorgeous views and delicious food! The steak was fantastic and the dessert was out of this world. The owner and servers were amazing, absolutely recommend visiting and grabbing a bite here!
Gluten-free. There are not enough stars to rate this restaurant. Our food was outstanding 👌 I think they have the best chef in the state. I was searching for gluten-free and had found this place.Being a celiac, I'm always hesitant to eat out, and I was judging the restaurant by the outside, nervous that it was a small tavern-pub style establishment, boy was I wrong.
The Tavern is must try restaurant in the valley! For drinks, I had a Chai Martini that was smooth and sweet. For appetizers we had the lobster rolls. The lobster is sourced from Maine and it was very tasty and the perfect amuse bounce. The main course was their 16oz Ribeye that had plenty of marbling for a delicious flavor. Staff was excellent and attentive!
We enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner at the Tabernash Tavern which is such a gem of a restaurant in Grand County along Highway 40 in Tabernash. I enjoyed the surf and turf dinner. The lobster tail was wrapped in bacon & jalapenos and cooked perfectly accompanied by a filet, mignon and Bernaise sauce. My husband enjoyed this salmon and my son enjoyed the Kung Pao calamari and cheesy mac and cheese pot Mary was our waitress and the most friendly staff that helped us celebrate the holidays with them! I also have a December birthday so they really looked after us as we celebrated Christmas and birthday; The food was sensational. Highly recommend five stars hands down!
After going on a week long trip around Colorado and eating at some great restaurants, this one was definitely my favorite! Definitely pricey but well worth it. The staff was very friendly and checked on us several times. They have a huge wine and alcohol selection. The variety of food selections is amazing. I wish we had room for dessert but were way too full to try it.
The biggest and best surprise of our mountain trip was this hidden gem. Don’t let the name fool you, Tabernash Tavern was not the average bar food we were expecting. The menu was expansive and rotating, with a range of cuisines and options. From lobster mac and wagyu steak to vegan crab cakes and ahi tuna poke, there were options for everyone. Prices were in line with the high quality of the food and everyone loved their meals. Service was great, and despite being a little more upscale then we anticipated, we still received the friendly, small town energy you would expect in a local favorite. Can’t wait to go back!!
Delicious! We started with a pomegranate Moscow Mule and the Brie Baklava, that was so good. Our entrees were amazing! Very filling. Our server, Mary was on it! She got busy quickly and never missed a beat. If you're passing through i would definitely recommend. Maybe check to see if you need a reservation before hand.
Have been wanting to go for years but it never seemed to be open when we were driving by. Well worth the wait and the food and staff did not disappoint!! Our son is a cook at a high end restaurant in Denver and we cook very well at home too. We were all very impressed. Had crab ceviche, tuna tartare, and calamari apps- all were very well presented and super tasty. Entrees around the table were the scallops, pork, lamb and paella. All were fantastic and picture worthy as well as being delicious. Wanted desert but way too stuffed!
This looks like a Western Saloon, but it is an upscale eatery. Fine steaks and other fancy creations. The prices are pretty high, but about right for what they are putting out. The Flat iron steak was amazing. Reservations are suggested.
This place is really nice and cozy...Food not bad...We had the calamari and was pretty good,Wedge salad was really good...Burger good but nothing special...The Zacatecas steak was kind of not there at all, it was more like a New York steak with some kind of soggy tortilla stripes, corn, black beans, red bell peppers some kind of greasy sauce, cheese and some more nonsense calling it chilaquiles but too greasy and busy for my taste nothing to do with Zacatecas or Mexican real flavor and the Fish was also just too much stuff in it...Non alcoholic drinks were really good...A little expensive.
Very disappointed in the food tonight. Plus, waitress got a lot mixed up with our order. Halibut was so dry. I asked for lemon which I never got. Had to ssk for ketchup but had to go to the bar to get it. Unfortunately, won’t be going back.
Pricey but enjoyable. This was my 2nd time eating here and this time I felt it was a bit pricey for the meal. Service is always friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent. That night was no exception. The cocktails we're lovely. I especially enjoyed the Columbine Martini - creative and tasty! The appetizers we're better than the entrees. Loved the Buffalo and Brussells -- a western take on wings! Better, I felt, without the blue cheese sauce which was on the side. Spicy and lively! Also the wild game Meatball was excellent and served on a bed of savory polenta like corn grits. Yum. My Pork Salmuera had good flavor but was too overcooked. I didn't care for the annise seasoning but the pecan sweet potatoes were yummy. Dishes my friends had were: Steak Zacatecas (sadly not actually spicy, but good complexity of flavors; Salmon, pretty, but the "pizza pie" underneath only okay; and the Waygu Steak with mushroom side was a bit too garlicy. Nice atmosphere on a cold night including fairy lights and warm wood paneling. Fancier than you might expect for the location but not uncomfortable for casual dress or more dressy. Still s good place for locally focused flavors. Last time the paella was great and I would try that again.
If you like overpriced, mediocre food this is your spot. Nestled in a beautiful location, they have a dining room that has almost no natural light or exposure to the view. There wasn’t a course we had where the waitress brought all of the correct items. I’m not talking about substitutions and complexity, I’m talking - we didn’t order calamari but we received calamari instead of wings. The food is serviceable, but not worth anything close to the listed prices. To top it all off, it appears either one if staff stole my jacket, or they allowed a customer to steal my jacket. Would avoid this establishment.
