Le Gobelet Noir is a well-themed, hidden gem in Universal's Epic Universe, particularly appealing to Harry Potter fans. The atmosphere is immersive, and the food is generally well-received, especially the pork cutlet, schnitzel, and goulash. Some find the lentil stew disappointing.
Tip: It's tucked away, so look for it past the restrooms. Order via the Universal app or QR code at the table. It's a good spot for a quick break from the crowds.
Spectacular Parisian tavern decor at Le Gobelet Noir. The goulash and Jägerschnitzel are amazing. Very nice atmosphere and great for families since they have large tables. A really fun place to eat while exploring Universal Epic Universe.
We enjoyed this dining experience and recommend it for a fairly quick repreve from the outside hustle and bustle. It offers Harry Potter style meal presentations and atmosphere. We enjoyed the pork schnitzel, cod, goulash and beef sandwich...all great choices along with Gigglewater, warm butter beer (super yummy!), and good draft beer choices.
Dec 2025. I’ll post the rest of my Paris pictures here. We enjoyed our lunch and beer break here. The guy standing outside was a fun character. And very few people were there. It also became a gathering spot as our group would scatter to various other interests.
Le Gobelet Noir is the most perfectly themed spot in the new Ministry of Magic area at Epic Universe. It is truly hidden away in a back alley off the regular French streets, which is a brilliant start for a dark wizard/speakeasy theme. The atmosphere inside is incredible—low lighting, massive wooden barrels, cauldrons, and cozy fireplaces make it feel mysterious and fully immersive. It's the perfect escape from the crowds. The food was fantastic! We had the Jägerschnitzel and the Warm Shaved Beef Sandwich, and both were delicious, hearty, and high-quality. Definitely seek this place out. You come for the unique theme, but you stay because the food is actually fantastic. Highly recommend!
Swung by for lunch after checking out the menu on the Universal app. There was a wait but not too long to get seated. We ordered 2 dishes and both were great. I particularly enjoyed the beef goulash which was delicious. The food was prepared promptly and ordering was simple. The theming inside was done very well.
Ok-temper your expectations. This is a theme park, with theme park food. That said, the food was good. Chipped beef sandwich was large and tasty, frites were fresh and crunchy. The bratwurst was exactly that, with caramelized onions and a bit too much sauce on the pretzel bun. Tasted good regardless. The "side salad" was anemic, but fresh. The baklava was good. Room temperature would have been nice, but again...you're at a park. Nice selection of beers. Atmosphere very nice with plenty of seating while the other restaurants were wait time only!
Nice place tucked away in Epic Universe. Other reviewers are correct in saying you truly have to look for this restaurant to find it. However, it's worth it when you do find it. The inside is huge, much larger than you may guess from the outside. It wasn't busy when we were there, but it's large enough to accommodate the rush times you'd anticipate from Universal in the summer. Nicely themed and quiet, perfect from the heat and crowds of the park. You order through the app, and the food came out quickly. Entrees were hot and delicious. Definitely worth a stop while in Epic Universe.
I love that it’s kind of tucked away so it’s not as busy and very quick to get seated and served. Whereas in the universal and islands the adventure Harry Potter restaurants you have to wait in line like a ride to get in. We got our drinks immediately, but it did take about 15 minutes to get our food. The bratwurst kind of reminded me of the cheesesteak and was really filling and the lavender lemonade wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet and only lightly tasted of lavender. My kids both smashed their grilled cheese which was not as creative but we were just starving and couldn’t even think of what to order because our blood sugar was so low after waiting in line for donkey Kong for 3 1/2 hours
This was a great "hidden" spot. An Auror even stopped by our table ❤️. The salad was excellent the lentil stew was good but a bit too much liquid smoky flavor for me. It was a bit difficult to get a server's attention, had to chase one down to get ketchup.
This place is easy to miss while visiting. We were planning on eating elsewhere and walked this way and soooo glad we did! Atmosphere is amazing with sounds of foot steps, fantastic beasts and music. Food was great, no major complaints. Menu has options for drinks including beer. This place is also very large with ample seating.
Nice hidden restaurant inside Harry Potter. Very cool and castle like decor. Food tasted good like what you’d expect outside theme parks. Order food on the Universal FL app or with the QR code on the table.
Food will be delivered to you after you self-seat yourself on a table. Scan QR code to order your food. I ordered pork cutlet and it was so good I would return universal just for the pork cutlet :)
The whole area is a must see for fans of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. While I did not go in expecting theme park food to be top tier, I can safely say the sandwich we got was amazing. Everything tasted great, was perfectly cooked and the portion size was perfect. Le Gobelet Noir not only looks great, but it also provided one of the best spots we found to escape the heat. Out of everything we drank on the tour of the parks, the lavender lemonade was single handedly the best, most refreshing drink we had, cannot recommend it enough. The service was also fantastic, with the people at the tills able to advise for intolerances and also provide some great recommendations.

Great decor Heavier food options (meat and potatoes) u can order butter here but its in French really good food super friendly staff
Really nice food that’s in a much quieter area.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Love it! Alchemist platter is tasty.
Absolutely wonderful food, and the service was excellent.
Very good
The atmosphere was outstanding!
The food was amazing
Universal Epic Universe, was a memorable dining experience. The food was reasonably priced, and I really enjoyed the European-style dishes like goulash and schnitzel, which were flavorful and well-prepared. The highlight was definitely the butterbeer—the same drink from the original Harry Potter novels—which made the experience feel even more immersive. The atmosphere was also impressive. The cobwebs looked so realistic that it was hard to tell whether they were part of the set design or just poorly cleaned. If they were intentionally designed, that level of detail is truly remarkable. Overall, it’s a great spot to enjoy themed dining with solid food and a strong sense of immersion.
We ate lunch here on a Tuesday in March 2026. The venue is semi- hidden but there was a person at the door with a menu so you can look before committing. The inside is low-key and all ordering was done on an app using a barcode on the table. I ordered a bratwurst on pretzel roll with tavern fries and my wife got the shaved beef sandwich with tavern fries. Both of us were happy with the selection. When we placed the order the drinks arrived within 5 minutes and the food was out about 10 minutes later. The venue was quiet and the staff checked on us to make sure everything was okay. The meal was reasonably priced. We were very happy with this selection!
Stopped in for a drink, Domaine Dupont Pommeau De Normandie and Fire Whisky caught our eye. Domaine is like an apple cider port, Fire Whisky is their version of Fireball. They only do small pours of these due to the higher ABV; we appreciated the bartender warning us of this, and we were fine with it. I think it was 2 oz for the Fire Whiskey, 3 oz for the Domaine, took a sip before taking this picture. Strong and fun to try something unique! Massive amount of seating in this place, with a solid rustic and darkish theme. For people complaining about the app, it is so much better than previous experiences at Universal and other theme parks, where you have to stand in line for up to an hour or more while people take forever to make up their minds and order - the app surely streamlines things in a way that far outweighs the inability to customize orders, or whatever else everyone complains about it for.
Tucked away and quiet. Staff were amazing with our questions. Nia really helped me solve an issue and I really appreciated it. I would totally come back here. The warm beef sandwich and crepes are worth it for sure.
This place is UNDERRATED! Truly the best food we’ve had on this trip. Jägerschnitzel and the slice corned beef sandwich was fresh and juicy with the bread nice and toasted (not soggy!) the best thing, it wasn’t overcrowded at all! I could have sat in a corner with friends and a pint for hours! Nice and secluded.
Came to Epic on Saturday with my family and decided to eat the German restraunt. My oldest daughter is deaf and asked a passing waitress, Kat, what her suggestion was. When Kat realized my daughter was deaf, she actually started signing to her and my daughter got so excited!!! She got the shaved beef sandwich like Kat suggested and loved it!! Kat was super patient and made my daughter's day by being able to sign to her!!!!!!! Edit: I tried to put photos of the food, but it wouldn't let me. It was super delish though!!
Omg this was the best find the food was absolutely the best we ever had! We ordered the butterbeer crepe and the warm shaved beef sandwich we shared it between the three of us and was completely full! So if your visiting don’t walk run to this amazing restaurant!
Universal finally cracked the dinning code with Epic Universe….especially Goblet Noir! The food was very good…not just “theme park” good but actually very very good! This place is a hidden gem. I HIGHLY recommend it!
He had an issue with one of the items we ordered and the staff couldn’t have handled it better. The manager came over and gave us a refund and offered a free entree. On top of that the chef came out and apologized. Overall a great experience.
What a magic place. Take you to the old tavern in Europe. Super nice experience. Food awesome, not the classic park hotdog. Highly recommended.
The alchemist platter was the best thing I've had in the park a hidden treasure and very well priced . Plus serves vegetables and fruit .
Place was huge with tons of seating. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We split the Brautwerst and Cornbeef sandwich with fries and salad. My pictures do not do it justice... The pretzel bun for the braut was soft and a just the right amount of rock salt on it. The beer cheese had grilled onions in it and it was so good. There was also a nice sharp ground mustard on it that paired really well with everything. Im really picky about my brauts and this was hands down the best one I have eating, AND grab lots of napkins, AND maybe even a knife and fork, lol because it is super messy. The cornbeef sandwich was perfectly cooked,it was not fatty and there was plenty of meat. Im not sure of the details of how the .eat was cooked but it seemed like maybe it was ran through a dehydrator for a short time because it almost had the texture of a good cured meat. Im unsure of the sauce or type of bread because this was my husband's order but it all paired really well together. Hands down would go back and order again.
Jackson was the absolute best!! He was very sweet and attentive. He made the best frozen butter beer for my boyfriend and I. Thank you Jackson!
Hidden gem of Wizarding World. Just past the restrooms, it’s tucked into the side of the world. The Schnitzel, Goulash and Bratwurst sandwich are amazing. Some fun drinks and cocktails as well. Friendliest cast members we ran across. Not too crowded so it’s a great place to take a break with family, find a table for a large group and not so loud that you can’t have a conversation. For pickier eaters the Schnitzel is basically a very crispy chicken cutlet with fries, and that’s a good thing. Ask to hold the mushroom sauce if it will scare them off. The Bratwust sandwich has an onion sauce with a hint of mustard that is addicting. We went back and ordered another. Kronenbourg and other themed beers on tap, also other wizarding cocktails top off the menu. Tavern fries are very good.
Such a cool atmosphere!! While we were wandering around and looking at all the different ones decor, a sweet blonde named Francesca asked if we'd be interested in seeing the Easter eggs. She then took us around the restaurant and pointed out the different hidden Easter eggs from the movies. She really went above and beyond to create a cool experience for us! Make sure to look up, they have the original figurines from the first deathly hallows movie of the brothers!

Food is pretty good compare to other similar eatery (non full serve restaurant) within universal parks. For the price of theme parks, it is good price for the quality of food. Ancient forest salad is fresh with various ingredients $13. Cod is fresh too with cream sauce and potato, crispy onion on top $20
Le Gobelet Noir is a hidden restaurant within the Ministry of Magic Harry Potter Universe at Epic Universe. And when I say hidden, I mean we walked around for a good 7-8 minutes at first looking around for it, before realizing you walk through an obscure hallway to a little back area, and there it is. Once you find it, there are workers posted outside to guide you along as again, the chamber you walk into has no markings on where to go and there are 2 hallways to choose from. The left takes you to the pickup/ to-go spot and bar, the right will take you into the dining hall. I was surprised by how big the dining area actually is. There’s 3-4 big rooms with plenty of seating. If you need a break from the heat there’s is plenty of AC in here and it’s comfortable. The menu offerings are heavier food but it was good- I loved the beef goulash and it did not last long. They had a version of chicken noodle soup with a dumpling in it and it was decent, very simple but enjoyable. We also tried the baklava as dessert and it was tasty but definitely not the flaky, pistachio and honey flavored traditional baklava, so it’s okay as long as you’re not expecting that. Everything here is online ordering through the app- you either order to-go, or sit at a table and order on the app and note your table number on there.
An unplanned walk down an alley to escape from the rain turned into a tasty experience. However, the pumpkin juice was way too sweet for me. Pure sugar.
This is the “hidden” restaurant in the new Harry Potter French area of Epic Universe. The place has like five areas and is themed very well. They have two fake stairwells and if you stand near them you can hear things going on “upstairs”. I’ll hot the issues first. This is another place where they force you use to the app. Again the problems with the app with trying to order what you want on your sandwich. The sandwich I wanted had mustard. I cannot eat that. No way to remove it on the app. They told us you have to click allergy issue and the chef will come out and you can tell him. That’s not going to work when you have a restaurant full of customers. The drinks here come in child sized plastic cups and they will not refill them even though the drinks cost just as much as the other places in the park that do allow refills. I’m close to calling the credit card company on this because I’m pretty sure we were told wrong and ripped off. They did give us waters. The employees seemed stunned here when we asked for a refill since I was almost out before the food even showed up. Her answer was to go into the app and order another. Just so you know it was just an unsweetened tea. Nothing special. Asked for the manager. They never showed. The soup looked so good but was so tasteless. It needed at least salt, again you cannot get condiments. Universal has many many restaurants all over the place. I don’t understand who is running it at Epic but they shouldn’t be. Now for the good. The atmosphere is really good, especially if you are into the Harry Potter world. The beef sandwich was really good. The dessert was also very good. It was a cool place to replace too. Lots of seating.

Located in the Ministry Of Magic, it is an order over the app restraunt. Unfortunately for me, the menu doesn't really have items that are suited for my taste buds. I had the Jagerschnitzel and the sauce on top had a strong onion taste that overwhelmed me and I tried to scrape it off...I don't care for onions that much. My wife had the Lentil Stew and said it was good. The atmosphere and service was adequate for sit down dining and food delivery. The Sella Artois beer was cold and delicious!
The lentil stew was disappointing too much potatoes and bland bread was hard lavender lemonade taste it artificial flavors but the jagerschnitzel was excellent and potatoes were delicious and crispy
Whilst in Universal Epic we had lunch hear, when first walked in, didn't know it was a restaurant, it was hidden round the corner, seemed like everyone was waiting in the 180 minute queues for the few rides actually working this day as it was empty. Food came out fast, ordered the Shaved beef sandwich and the Wizard Brew Bratwurst sandwich, the beef was lovely, I didn't like the caramelized onion flavour in the Bratwurst sandwich though and the pretzel bun wasn't great

The atmosphere has interesting decor and it’s calm. There’s light rain and storm sounds in the background so it feels like you are cozy inside on a gloomy day. The food was decent. If you are into German style food you will like it. The only thing I didn’t like was the pumpkin juice.
Food was plain and bland. The atmosphere was plain and bland too. It doesn’t feel very magical. Need to have some flickering lights and moving people in the paintings to feel like Harry Potter. Where is the magic?!?
Cold food, poor service and extremely over priced
Wait for too long, 30+mins for serve the food. Go anywhere else.
Pretty bad food. Better don’t come to ruin ur day
Holistically very, very bad on all angles. Even for a holiday park - exceeding all worst expectations. From the quality of food to the quality of service. And, of course, the price. All terrible.
This was my 2nd time going to universal Orlando and we decided to try out the new park "Epic" My family and I were really excited and rode a lot of things we decided we were hungry. We found this place called" Le Goblete Noir" in which we ofcourse decided to hop on. We proceed to ask the women hello what do you guys serve in which she answered get in, we ignored that and thought it was really rude after we sit down and the chairs were really uncomfortable in which my dad had some back pain in them. Then we decided to ignore all there red flags just eat and dip in which after we order through our mobile devices we waited 1 hour for a plate to come in which was really frustrating. We bought one plate with a sausage and 2 drinks which apperantely made the paycheck 50+ dollars when we asked the workers they were just talking sitted doing absolutely nothing else than chatting and the only worker that answered agreed that the restaurant was really bad and acted childish about it, she proceed it to tell to the manager or someone with higher power of the restaurant and bearly looked at us in the eye and proceed it to stay quiet. I am really frustrated with this restaurant and I hope we never go through this again and I don't wish this to my worst enemy.
Terrible service wasted our time!! We came in today, June 18th Placed order at 1pm. . waited 45 minutes for just a sandwich we ended up trying to cancel, and then they brought our food after I found someone to complain to. They didn't even give ketchup for the fries. Wasn't about to get up and find someone to ask and wait longer. The food was dry not worth the money and the wait. Save time and money. Don't eat here!!
