Excellent experience 👌🏻 Delicious food, great value for money, and excellent service. We ordered the tasting menu and loved it (perfect portions with beautiful presentation). We were in the gallery area; when the sun came out, it was a very pleasant experience, ideal for couples—intimate and relaxed. 100% recommended.
We had lunch at this restaurant on the 23rd. A great choice! Amazing and spectacularly delicious flavors. From the appetizers, which were served already prepared for individual sharing, to the desserts—and what desserts!—the service was very friendly and attentive. The decor is charming, and the tables are well spaced. And if that weren't enough, the prices are incredibly reasonable. Don't miss it; it's well worth it.
First of all, it's a charming place with excellent service and exquisite cuisine. The quality of their products is outstanding, from the bread to the coffee, but we especially loved the meat and the quality of everything we ordered. We stumbled upon it by chance because we were with a small child, and we'll definitely return when we're back in the area. We appreciated that they offered us something for the child and brought it out so quickly. In addition to the quality and quantity, the price was also good. Congratulations!
El Palacio restaurant is a true hidden gem in Torrelavega. Although not centrally located, the restaurant is a charming building with a well-kept garden. I stumbled upon it by chance during a rather lengthy business trip and stayed there for the entire month. Everything about this restaurant is truly excellent: the welcome, the food, the ambiance, right down to the bill. They essentially offer a gourmet experience accessible to everyone. Unfortunately, they also have a nasty flaw: they're only open for dinner from Wednesday to Saturday, forcing you to find somewhere else on the other days... By showing up alone at "Italian" times, I've never had any problems getting a table, but I've heard several times that they've had to turn down requests, so I guess it's always best to make a reservation.
An excellent evening at this Tanos restaurant in Torrelavega. We were amazed by the delicate cuisine, the quality of the products, and the service. All in a pleasant atmosphere and at a price that matched the quality we were offered. The ribs were excellent, as was the beef chop. The starters were spectacular, with a variety of puff pastries, and the tiramisu was outstanding. The only downside was that there was no non-alcoholic beer, but that wasn't the point 😁 We will definitely return.
Excellent service and quality. The tuna tartar and prawns were incredible, the machote was spectacular, the monkfish with scallop, veal sauce, and many other dishes I can't remember were also very good, although the raisins and sauce stole some of the limelight, I'd give the dish a try, but the base was amazing. Finally, the dessert we ordered, called Cantabria, was incredible, beyond words. Jaime, the waiter, was also very friendly. 400% recommended, I would definitely come back, and the presentation was 10/10.
Despite the negative reviews, we decided to go, and the result was exceptional. The food was delicious, the desserts equally so, and the service exquisite. Both the owner and the two waiters, very professional, treated us wonderfully. I especially recommend the chicken cannelloni with foie gras sauce and the prawn salad for starters and the tuna and sirloin for main courses. A good price for a weekend: €22 for the set menu. They also offer a tasting menu and a la carte menus.
Awesome menu
Tried to book online the day before. They normally confirm by phone, but we were travelling and requested email confirmation. Didn't get one, but they were expecting us. Staff very helpful. Given a la carte menu (expensive) but I asked with Google translate for menu of the day and it was given to us. Choice of 3 first courses, 3 second courses, 3 deserts, nice bread rolls, wine and water for 13 euros. Service excellent, presentation excellent, quality excellent. 52 euros all in. Definitely recommend.
Amazing food! Best we have had, going back again tonight!
This was our second chance at the restaurant, and this time it was a good one. We opted for the set menu, which was very well-balanced with three starter and main course options. One thing we didn't like was having to choose dessert at the same time as ordering the main and main courses (it's a personal matter). A good value for money.
Ok
It could have had more stars if the wine experience had been better. The food was very good, the service was fine; in fact, this is my third time here. What I can't understand is how a restaurant of this caliber has a wine list that must be nearly 20 years old. First, they tried to sell me the wines they wanted me to see, which I understand. Then I asked for the wine list, and of course, I saw Crianza wines from 2003 or 2006, knowing that couldn't possibly be the case in this day and age... I decided on a wine that was labeled Crianza. I insisted, asking if it was a Crianza, and they repeatedly assured me that it was. They brought the bottle to the table, so there was no opportunity to see it beforehand. They gave me a taste, and the wine was fine, although it hadn't been properly aerated. Once they left, I turned the bottle over to read that it was a Cosecha. The wine was a limited edition, and I have to say, it was good. I suspect it was their last bottle or something like that. That's why dinner continued without complaint. But I don't see the logic in a restaurant like that having such a poor wine selection, a menu practically from the last century, and then trying to deceive you like that to get by. Had there been more honesty, the review would have been much more positive.
