I have lived in Tarragona for a year now. Have also avoided this place. But then in the summer I met one of the waiters who resembles Mick Hucknall from Simply Red. Great guy. So I went the other night, all the fiestas and holidays are finished. I had a very pleasant experience, staff were happy and pleasant. Lots of great pinchos to choose from which the staff took time to explain. Also a good beer and wine selection. You will see my photos of this night.... I would say to give it a try.... I am glad I did. I will go again

Friendly but very slow. 2 beers and couple of tapas took 1 full hour 🤯. Food is so so. There was a roach on our table 🪳

The Bocois has a lovely setting with stylish décor and a great location right on Tarragona’s Rambla Nova, making it a pleasant spot to sit and enjoy a cold cerveza while watching the world go by. However, the service was quite slow, and the food was only average, with some dishes arriving not perfectly cooked. It’s a nice place for a drink, but if you’re looking for a great dining experience, there’s room for improvement. Likely, the August tourist rush plays a part in the delays.

The food is amazing really tasty, but Jesus christ the portions are exstremely small, i am a really skinny girl but theyre pirtion of paella was even to small for me! I have been waiting for our bill fot more then 40 minutes already, how long cant i wait?!?!?! I mean i have no complains about the food exept for the waiting time and the portions

Food was really good but extremely slow, sadly, we were no longer hungry by the time it arrived. We had to wait 2h for dishes from a standardised menu! I would have recommended for the quality of the food and reasonable prices but we definitely won't be coming back

Very disappointing, menu of the day at 14:90€ which was fideua with 2 mussels and two prawns per person, followed by very small amount of cod and plate full of potatoes, followed by a coffee. It may be on the Rambla Nova but absolutely no comparison to the restaurants by the port. Nice wine and coffee. Would not recommend for food, very slow service too.

Terrible service and disgusting food, avoid unless you want to be sick, ordered a steak and was given a fat filled and bone filled slab of meat that wasn't edible and when I asked for it to be changed. The owner and cook refused so I had to pay for a inedible steak. Terrible food and service. Avoid

This place is the classic tourist scam type of food, where you think is local food but it is NOT. For some reason they hired staff that do not speak Spanish or English! The food was not well prepared, but the quality of the ingredients is good. I will never come back and will not recommend anyone to go here, sorry.

Compliments to the chef, but unfortunately the one of the staff is terrible. We waited extremely long for the desert which in the end never came. Also they made a mistake with the bill, and let us wait a long time to fix it.
