Every time I’ve been here it’s been a great experience and all of the staff have been so friendly. Jordyn has always provided excellent service and goes above and beyond. I’m always impressed with Jordyn because service that good is just so rare and hard to come by these days. The last time I went, Alyson took care of me and was a great server. Evaline was working the bar and also very friendly. It’s clear that the staff at Karl Strauss knows how to take care of the customer. If you’re looking for a great place to chill and get a beer, this is your place. All of the food I’ve had has also been great!

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! Staff was not only friendly, but professional, knowledgeable and fun. We have been to this location 10+ times since they were open and everyday it seems to get better. The decor is cool and hip, interesting how it opens to the outside in most the restaurant (bring a jacket just in case). Last time we were there, not one but two extra servers checked on us to make sure if we needed anything and took our drink and appetizer orders. The food was just excellent and the presentation is magazine quality. Spicy hummus is a must! During our meal we were presented with different pairings of their on tap beers, impressive I must say! This place changed our opinion of dining out, GREAT JOB!

We went here on a Friday and only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. The server was very attentive and had many good suggestions. They do a great job finding a beer that suits what you are eating and also provide samples to help you choose. Our only complaint would be that it was a little loud so next time we will sit outside on the patio. Fantastic food, every bite. Huge portions. Mac and cheese with veggies is killer. Beer cheese. Great beer. Fairly priced.

This place is amazing Pros: the service was outstanding, our cups never emptied, food came out very quickly, waitress was extremely friendly. The atmosphere is very cool nice. Very upbeat and busy but still quite enough to hear the person across from you without yelling. Food was cook perfectly and is very reasonable in the price range. Will definitely be coming back to try the beer and a few more treats off the menu. Cons: if you don't have a booth the seats are hard as hell lol.

So let me tell you.......good beers, but GREAT service. Ben is phenomenal! He's visiting this location, but if you run into him, you're in for a treat. Great suggestions and super attentive. Other staff are good, but there is no comparison. Menu for food is great, would definitely recommend if you're in Temecula and have already checked out Old Town.

What in the amazingness is happening at this Karl? I had 3 different waitstaff check on us if we needed anything. The bartender waving at us with a sweet "Bye, thank you!" as we were leaving... top notch attentive customer service. And of course, food is top-tier; get the seared ahi tuna salad!

The food was so delicious and so was the IPA that Michaela recommended. But the real star was Michaela. She was friendly, knowledgeable, warm and suggested some wonderful food.

Ham took care of all 35 of us from AZ. The whole soccer team came in and he had the best vibe and took care of us!! Every time we are in town we come here and have never been disappointed . Thank you KS team for everything!!!

Loved having a drink and dinner here before an event. The atmosphere is so relaxed and casual. The beers are amazing and the food to die for. I took my Dad as a birthday present and he loved it, he is hard to please and he says he wants to return. I guess we'll be back!

Awesome vibes at this location. We stopped in on a Monday and were surprised by the live music. The musicians were very talented. I didn't catch the name, but the female singer had an amazing voice! Additionally, our food was served quickly and tasted good.

Me and my friend hugo went to enjoy a good drink and a great stake there! We have a great time! And we were attended by a great bartender called "money maze! I told him I was gonna give him a great review! And here it is! Definitely comming back! They should make him employe of the month! He greeted us with a big smile! Keep it up money maze 👌🏽👌🏽

The service is very good. Bar tenders are knowledgeable about their beers and were able to recommend me a very good food pairing. If you want a meal and a beer you are looking at around ~$20 per person. Even though the beer is good, though I've had a lot better, their food is what keeps bringing me back every time. If you like/don't mind a bit of spice get the Asada fries; They are to die for.

This is the nicest Carl Straus I've seen...and this is the 5th one that I've been too. Clean, spacious, modern, amazing Tab list, family friendly and perfect for couples and friends. Great location near the freeway. Highly recommended. Below is the the "Pork Belly" . I highly recommend it.

First time here, and not my last. Fantastic place. Beer is always great, and they bring samples of which ever one you want plus they bring samples as you eat for pairing. I had the Farmhouse burger with the carne asada fries, DELICIOUS! You definitely can not go wrong here. Clean restrooms, great staff, and comfortable seating.

I had the Ginger Crusted Salmon which was absolutely deelish! What a great combination of flavors! I really enjoyed this! My husband had the beer sausages which he thought were much better than the Irish pub's! Our waitress Autumn was the best! She was so friendly, had great suggestions, timely, & took such great care of us!!! She should be employee of the month! Karl Strauss, we come here often & we look forward to coming back, however, out of all the waitresses we've had, I truly have to say the Autumn really is the best! So is your menu!

Full disclosure, I used to work here and was a lead trainer when this location was opened. Came on for a couple of cold ones - settled on the Mosaic, true classic, and the Follow the Sun Pils (had notes of Bologna according to my girlfriend). Chowed down on the Brussels sprouts appetiser and didn’t look back. Staff were all friendly and helpful. *The accuracy of this backstory relies on the word of mouth from an individual who truly lived in Temecula and whose identity I have assumed.

Everyone here was very friendly and welcoming. There is lots of seating inside and out. Place was clean and the beer was delicious. Will definitely be returning since they have a Hefeweizen and they are hard to find. They are dog friendly if you have a dog and want to come with them.

Such a versatile atmosphere! My partner and I even talked about how it's a great venue for any and every occasion. The staff is always so friendly, so kind and the food is top tier. My partner and I came in for a quick bite and shared the turkey burger and their piggy mac & cheese. Left with super full, happy tummies.

This is for the Karl Strauss in Temecula, CA. Pre-COVID we were frequent visitors at this location and we always enjoyed their food, beers and wine, and they always seemed to have good customer service and a fun atmosphere. Post-COVID the service model changed to a more "counter service" model...cause you know...COVID. However, what we found was that overall, both their customer service and quality of the food had diminished and we stopped going. We have not been there since late 2023. We wanted to give it a try again so we went on a Sunday evening at 5pm (2/23/25). There was no wait to be seated and they had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. Overall it was very quiet and only a few small groups and a few couples were there but by 6pm they were very busy. It was a good atmosphere either way and it reminded us of the vibe that K.S. used to have. The customer service was excellent this time around. Andrew was our server and he was always friendly, helpful and he made sure we had what we wanted. Great customer service skills! For food we had the harissa hummus plate, pizza rolls, birrea beef dip sandwich, a pub burger, and a kid's chicken strip meal. It was all good except the hummus plate. The hummus plate was just ok. The hummus was good but we preferred the soft pita bread that they used to serve vs. the pita chips they serve it with now. On our order there wasn't much of the mixed olives, roasted red peppers, red onion, feta, and cilantro on the hummus to make it very noticeable. They also need to include more veggies on the plate. There were 3 of each of carrot and celery sticks on the plate - just like the menu picture. However it's not much when there's 4 adults sharing. The pizza rolls were surprisingly very good. The "dipping oil" was also very tasty but spicy/hot. Our group enjoyed it but if you don't like hot/spicy, beware. The mac and cheese was good. It was creamy with a nice tangy flavor from the parmesan cheese bread crumb topping. It's definitely better than some out there. The burger was also very good, cooked to order correctly, and overall very tasty. The "birreria beef deep" was good but if you're looking for anything with an "authentic" birreria flavor, this won't be it. It's more like a tasty savory French dip. It's good overall and I would recommend/get again but temper your expectations. Most notable is that they went back to a more traditional table service model. Much better service which is good and we'll definitely be back. Oh, and for beer they are tops. Always good...never a "miss".

I crave the sausages. It's a drive to get here from LA but so worth it for the beer and food! The staff is always so friendly and great energy. I love it here. Just tried the street burger and it was a perfect pair for my day off drinking activities!

Went on 7/14 for a single by myself dinner and drink after work. Couldn’t have been a better experience. Seriously, the cook’s quality of their craft is amazing. I was hungry, and craving something good, so I went for the full Ribeye meal (med rare). Was absolutely good.. Taste and quality was above & beyond expectations. Good job guys can’t wait to take friends and family to the establishment soon!

Love this place doesn't even matter the location! Asada fries are back and still as delicious as ever! We literally come for the asada fries and beermisu. The fries are crunchy, the ingredients fresh and delicious as can be! Had the michelada as well mmmmmm! Beer in general is always great. Had the pub burger and food truck burger and we were NOT disappointed!! delicious! Mac and cheese were crispy and delicious. Can't wait to come back, favorite brewery of all time.

This is my second time at this Karl Strauss, and both times I've enjoyed it. The cheddar burger was solid pub/bar food, and the fries were excellent. The Red Trolley ale never disappoints either. I think it's one of my favorite red ales anywhere.

Visited for their 37th Anniversary Celebration. Lots of drinks for $3.70 per pint. And had to have some food, too! Joined in for the pub-wide toast at 2pm with complimentary drink. We had a good time and service was awesome.

Other than that, the customers all seem to enjoy the place and the service is great when they get to recognize you.

This was one of if not the best restaurants I went to on a trip to San Diego & Temecula! The food is amazing, I love the atmosphere, and we had such attentive servers! I only wish I wasn't on vacation so I could keep going back to try the whole menu! My meal was the pork chops with delicious garlic mashed potatoes, perfectly cooked green beans, and amazing firecracker sauce for the pork.

Oh my! Oh my! Have I ever had better food anywhere than here... I don't think so!! The Carne asada fries were some of the freshest and most delicious I have ever had.. of course they are not traditional cali style but man are the ingredients fresh! I can assure you they use the best of ingredients here and everything from the menu that I've tried has been spectacular and don't get me started on the steak, it is the best I have ever had... the beers they are good, but the food is AMAZING!

After a long day exploring Temecula a fantastic brew is just the perfect ending. We were at an off time on Sunday and the place was not busy at all. The online system is very handy and saves time ordering. The brews we tried were excellent. The food servings were very large and we couldn't finish them off. Definitely glad we stopped by for a visit. We recommend this for either brews or dinners.

When your in the mood for a nice beer, some good appetizers, and great burgers karl Strauss is perfect for you. This has become one our favorite places for an afternoon bite. They have a great range of beers to chose from and their taps change all the time, which makes for great revisits. Their service is great, you order at the front and they check on your during your eating time while bringing you food to your numbered table. The environment is great, plenty of TVs with games on perfect for sports times. We ordered the poke nachos and a burger, and both were pretty good for a starter and an entree. Both were delicious. They have a slim but full menu and their choices are pretty great to chose from given the variety. Check this place out!

The food was amazing! This is the best food I’ve ever had at a brewery. Every single bar tender and waiter acted as if we were their customer, but it wasn’t too much. It was clean and amazing. Highly recommend the Mac and cheese, fish and chips, zucchini, burger, and pretzels. We plan on going back to try everything else!

Walking in, our first impressions were great looking merch on the wall and appeared very clean. Cool, modern decor. The table had a sign that said "I'm clean" which was great to see. Had the option of hard menu ordering or QR code that ordered direct to the table. You can even order merch! We ordered a table full of food: salt & vinegar fries, pretzels, the food truck burger, fish & chips, side of Mac & cheese. Every single thing was cooked and spiced to perfection. The burger, while messy, was actually cooked the way I ordered! I ordered a flight of 6 beers, taking recommendations from the bartender. Even the ones that didn't end up being quite my style were still the best I've had of those types (sour, West coast IPA, etc.) in some time. The servers were friendly, attentive, and dressed in house merch. Hands down the best place we've been in the 3 mos we've been out here. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Monday afternoon and it wasn't very busy, so nice and easy to enjoy food and beer. Had the sausage plate and hummus which were both REALLY good! Some Hazy Boat shoes and cauliflower! Fantastic! Hazy Boat Shoes is nice rounded IPA with delicious tropical fruit and a citrus finish. Pair rather well with this amazing cauliflower dish! Little sweet and spice and hints of ginger. Full of flavor and the cauliflower was cooked nicely! Sometimes other places will over cook (mush) or under cook (crunchy), but this is right where the cauliflower should be creating a meaty type texture.

My aunt flew in from Texas. She pulled a long hair out of the middle of her French dip sandwich.... We have brought her here once befor and she loved it.........They keep changing menu and we ALL love the pork chops. They no longer serve mashed potatoes, only green beans and totally missing a starch.... This place is great but trying 2 hard to cater 2 vegans, vegetarians and trends

This was our first time here. Food was very good. However, be aware that this restaurant is currently if either for Covid or because they are changing the way they are doing business like I have heard other restaurants are thinking of doing permanently to a server less experience. We waited in line to order at the bar. Placed and paid for our order. A food runner brought our food to our table. I did decide to get a beer flight and to do so scanned a code on the table placed my order online, paid and was brought my order in a timely manner. The staff was courteous. I did ask the food runner for a few additional items when she passed by and she only forgot one out of three. It did save us some cash on tip as we did tip some but not as much as if we had special attention from a server. I am not sure if this matters to your personal dining experience but be aware. It does make the dining experience feel less special which in my opinion may impact what someone may be willing to pay for food. I hope if this is a permanent choice for the restaurant it does not affect their food quality. The blackened mahi-mahi fish tacos were awesome and gluten free. If your gluten-free they have good options here. One cider but of course not a designated gluten-free kitchen. My husband got the Fish and chips and loved them, fries where crisp outside soft inside but the coleslaw did not have much flavor next time we would skip that. The Beer flight was awesome at 3.00 a pop to try most 4oz beers. Overall good experience I will be back just probably not for date night.

The food is pretty good here. Happy hour specials are decent. I know most people rave about the beer, but I'm not a beer drinker so I wouldn't be able to comment. They do do mixed drinks, though, so if you're not into beer, there's still plenty for you to drink. They just don't have a blender, so don't try to order anything too fancy.

First time here since Covid. I really dig the new ordering setup. I hope it stays. The service was SUPER fast and friendly.

We were looking for somewhere good to eat where my husband could enjoy a good drink that was still family friendly. This was a great option for our family. They seem to seat all the families in the back, which worked well for us. The for was enjoyable, but not the best food I ever ate. I ordered the tree lover Mac-n-cheese. Overall it was a pretty good meal.

We were seated right away even though they were busy. We were served quickly and they even customized my food order. The food was fresh and very delicious! I recommend the Carbonara, as it was amazing! Our waitress was very busy and could have been more attentive, but the night was great.

Really enjoyed the vibe, drinks and food ! Didn’t get a pic of my food but it was delicious and I paired it with this kombucha. Very unique of them to have kombucha and especially in different flavors! Definitely a fan and will be back!

I really enjoy this place due to the great food, tasty beer, and very good service. However, both times I've been there the front door was wide open and it was cold and drafty. Practically everyone, patrons and servers alike, we're wearing jackets and hoodies. Detracted quite a bit from the positives.

I would recommend this place as a brewery, but it's also great they serve food! I ordered a Tower 10 IPA and West Coast Carnitas Dip. The IPA has great grapefruit/citrus notes, not as strong as some grapefruit IPAs though. The carnitas dip was a stretch for me, but recommended by my server. It was very good! Good go to spot for craft beer and food

Nice place to grab a bite and try some craft beers. They have music on certain nights. I'd like to visit in the summer months as they have garage doors that completely open to the outside.

It's a great brewery type of restaurant with a great outdoor vibe. Food and service are excellent and make a lot of their own brews.

Easy to get into and a lot of tables. Beer selection is fine but the food is bad. Good enough if you’re drinking, but not good enough for a decent dinner.

The food was very good but the restaurant was not very full/busy and we didn't get checked on by our waiter at all. We were finally asked if we wanted a drink refill when we got the check. Not sure we're coming back.

Always enjoyed Karl Strauss food and atmosphere, was a little underwhelmed with this location. Everyone was polite, which we appreciate but, we kept trying to wave down a server to help us with an incorrect drink(alone really not a big deal) but also tried to wave down a server for condiments, to go box and our bill. Came down to going to the bar tender for help. Again, every one was polite but we felt ignored during our visit. Great food, drinks and the ambiance was cool but we were a bit ignored.

The food here is great! Hamm the server is our favorite, super cool dude. The only thing that sucks is that they charge to swap out sides, even though all the sides cost the same. It’s like why charge me $5 just to swap something out??? The food isn’t cheap, so it’s just kinda lame to do that to your customers. You’re better off just buying the side you want in addition to your meal, at least you’ll get both of them instead of paying for 2 sides and only getting 1. That could be another $20 for 2-3 people, just to substitute a side for another. NOT COOL KARL! Other than that, we love it here and the ribeye is amazing.

Stopped by for burgers and beers why we waited for some friends before caravaning north. Will not be coming back. The beers were good. But they got both our burgers wrong, they tried to fix it but it was still wrong. We aren’t that picky but they didn’t offer anything off the bill and pretty much ignored us after our burgers were dropped off so we didn’t get a 2nd beer even though we wanted one. We will just stick to the other locations since we have had better luck at those.

If you are looking for a fairly high priced restaurant then this might be the place for you... They have reduced portions SIGNIFICANTLY over the past year or so. They no longing have happy hour, no happy hour BEER, no happy hour food... and no longer do happy hour growler fills... last visit had the waitress asking if I wanted desert while I just started with the main course... no sooner did I finish my burger I had the check shoved in my face... not very welcoming... so ya.. no thanks I don't want another beer... EVER! pretty disappointed that Karls is taking this direction... had been a favorite for 20+ years

I never complain or make reviews but this place is terrible. Zero customer service. I've served for years and there was not one single server in the whole place just a bartender, food runners and bussers. You place your order through the qr code on your phone which was fine. Our food came and we had to ask for our drinks. The girl acted like it was too much to ask for, she was extremely rude. Then towards the end of our visit we had to wave the same girl down to ask for refills and she told us she was on her break and go to the bar! I've been to other Karl Strauss' before and they were so attentive with actual servers this place is a joke. Not sure what my 20% tip went towards!

So unfortunate that this place has taken a weird turn. It's now an upscale fast food situation where you place your order at the bar and then choose your table. It's not quite a restaurant ; not quite a bar. The "server" (who said that she isn't quite a server) was just as confused as we were. She was told that they are transitioning to a bar but when I mentioned that they no longer carry hard liquor, she just shrugged. I actually felt bad for her because we could hear people asking for her to take their order and she just kept having to repeat - "I can bring you silverware, condiments or water but I can't take your order." This new strange vibe also left us not knowing who we tip, so we tipped the bartender who took our food order at the front of the restaurant, as well as leaving some money on the table in the dining area. Oh and I also was a little thrown off when I ordered the last beer because the bartender took my money, said have a great night as she turned and quickly walked to the back without giving me my $4 in change. This was after I'd already left a 20% tip with her for our food order. I didn't even ask what was going on because at that point, my husband and I just wanted to get out of there. I will say that the food was tasty but at those prices, I would like the restaurant experience/service to match.

I found this restaurant’s system to be cold and unfriendly no customer service at all. Tips are for kind of service you receive. A waiter set a plate or a drink on the table is not service worthy of a tip. Also I came prepared to pay cash. That is not an option. I was taking my son and his wife out to dinner. This being my 1st experience with your system my son ended up ordering for me which meant he paid the bill. I didn’t reorder my drink - to much trouble and for the same reason I didn’t order desert I also didn’t like idea you can not alter the meal. Could not say leave off lettuce or tomato or what ever. Stuck with the way you make it. No one checks back to see if food ok. No one checks to see if you need anything I find this extremely bad customer service. I will not return and will not go to anyplace that has this system

As longtime customers, my spouse and I were immensely disappointed with our most recent visit. The waiters and waitresses have no desire to provide good service, because you place your tips beforehand. After giving us our drinks and food, we never saw them again. Not a single refill for us, no checking in, just painful service to endure. My spouse really wanted to take the food home, but after waiting 45 minutes for our waitress to come by offering a to-go box, we sadly decided to leave. The mac and cheese is her favorite, but unfortunately we’ll be taking our business elsewhere.

Not sure if there's new owners or what, but this place used to be great, now its super LAME!! Went into get a beer for happy hour yesterday and found that you cant sit around the bar....if your restaurants focal point is the bar in the very center it might behoove you to put some seating around it owners/managers. The youngster behind the bar couldn't give me an answer as to why that was,he just said we're moving into being more of a brewpub atmosphere....??? Isn't that what u already are? So I left very disappointed not spending a dime and went over and spent $100 bucks at yard houses happy hour. Two thumbs down and I sadly will not be back here when I'm in town

I will not be going back here. The service was lackluster. We waited to be seated in a pretty empty restaurant. The host kept trying to seat us in the bar after I repeatedly told him we wanted a table and not in the bar. The server was not attentive and mia, the food was subpar at best, and I think I got one water the entire hour I was there. But come check and tip time she showed up ready to chit chat. Who you hire reflects on your business, so hire the right people and train them to do their jobs so that the customer enjoys the experience. I will not set foot in another Karl Strauss.

You've gone up in price so much. To a point where it doesn't even make sense? Why is your plain mac on tap so much? Are you using hand made imported from Italy noodles or something? 19.95 is actually insane. I will never return here again and its not even about affording it, it's about being outright scammed by you.

We normally love coming here, food is always on point and we love the vibe. But the last two times we came the service was awful. We went this last Saturday and we saw our server twice the entire time. Once to take our order and once to deliver our food. Never came back to check on us, refill drinks, clear plates or even bring us our check. We sat there for over an hour and nobody acknowledged us. My husband finally had to get up and ask someone to please bring us our check. Not sure we will be coming back any time soon.

Service is amazing. Food is delicious. Leaving this review so management brings back the corn relish for the chicken tacos. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it! I’ll happily update my review when they bring back the corn for the tacos.

We come here for dinner at 6pm and first we are sitting there and multiple employees pass us but no one helps us then when someone finally notices the beer my husband orders is not available and its on the menu and it was switched out for something else then we order an appetizer and they tell us they are all out of that too... are you serious??? No wonder this location has to have a sign on the outside saying there open but for what reason when you don't have what people want to order? It's no wonder this place was dead. Do not recommend this location at all.

Noting the several positive reviews, I will concede that some menu items may be excellent, but our experience during "happy hour (which ends at 5 pm) was sub par. First, beer is the only drink discounted. Non discounted wine is charged at more than twice that price. Our "wings" appetizer was horrible...mostly breaded and fried in a foul tasting oil....likely not even palatable to my canine friends. The staff however is very friendly, efficient and commendable, especially the manager who comped our uneaten "chicken wings"! This is just to warn fellow patrons looking for a happy hour spot....and to advise Karl Strauss corporate management to invest a bit more in their choice of ingredients, as well as the cheap metal stools used for seating (very uncomfortable), which might conceivably result in filling an almost empty restaurant.
