El Sancho Loco Taqueria

Our visit was on 9/13/20 with my family of 8. The owner was great. Very welcoming he as well as his other employees. We visit each time we travel that way. The owner treated my family with great service. The food was delicious and my children were also surprised with a special treat of there tasty funnel cake. This is the spot to go for great food and great service..🙂

Love this place! The drinks are crafted by a genuine mixologist! The most creative cocktails I've had in a while. And the atmosphere is super cool. If you want authentic Mexican food in the Conejo Valley, this is the place! The owners are super nice too.

From the get go its like being at a place you've been to dozens of times. The employees and the owners are hands on and TOP NOTCH! They love their customers and gladly reward you with THE BEST FOOD! I got to meet Joe the owner by chance, on a delivery we had in Moorpark. We had the Enchiladas and they would have made grandma feel nervous they were THAT good! I would recommend El Sancho Loco to everybody looking for a home cooked meal! Keep up the GREAT work Joe!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!🙏😇

A lot of good authentic Mexican food. Everything I've eaten there has been good. Sometimes the meat can be a bit fatty, but it's usually seasoned well. The only complaint I have is that when I order food, they usually tell me it'll be ready in 15 minutes, but when I get there 15 minutes later, I end up sitting around 30 minutes or longer waiting for my food. This happens the majority of the time and has resulted in me ordering food from there much less frequently.

This is a great and authentic little place. Been going for several years, and they have been upgrading interior and menu. The menu is a bit confusing to some, but worth watching. Their habanero side of hot sauce is an orange color, fresh made and so hot it is best diluted with their salsa bar sauces. Very good shrimp cocktails with plenty of large shrimp.

The food here is fire....literally. The red and habanero salsa were amazing. Super spicy but worth it. Tacos were on point, beans and rice were just like mama makes.

Superb unique flavors. I asked the nice lady at the register to order for me as if I was her boyfriend and I was hungry. I got this amazing burrito that had some pineapple in it black beans red and green sauce it was a 10. I want to eat here again. I loved it! Thank you.

Wow, what can I say that hasn't been already said. This place is truly a hidden gem within Newbury Park. I'm glad I found it and look forward to coming back next time I'm in town. Friendly staff and personal, great prices. Huge burritos that satisfied after a morning mountain bike ride

I have been coming to this place since it first opened about 8 years ago. The owner is always there to greet you with a smile and say thank you as you leave with a full and happy stomach. We have had Joe and his staff cater our kids graduation parties and our guests are always pleased, Keep up the good work, it will pay off.

This is the original spot. Food is spot on. I usually go for the Pozole or the Menudo. Although both are good. The pozole is my favorite .The assortment of beers and sizes is pretty impressive. Chips and salsa are good but not great. Portions are also on the bigger size so you definitely won’t leave hungry. Haven’t had a breakfast burrito at this location. But isle it’s as good as the second location then it’s a must try. I recommend this place.

Most of the reviews are good reviews, there were a little that almost made me pass it up. But the fact that the owner or manager responded made me feel like it was worth a try and I’m happy I did. Like already commented the staff is very friendly, no one seems to be just standing around everyone including the manager/ owner are staying busy. It was impressive. The restaurant was clean and the salsa bar is wonderful! Not to mention the chips are great. Hate it when places have terrible chips. My burrito was huge and made to order. I’ll be back!

I've food wise I had experience but it was done by someone who was training to be a cook. But really after they saw what had happened they treated me great. I'm basically rating the worst I've had there, but for drinks and spending time with FAM and friends watching ⚽ , 🏈 or ⚾... It's a great place to be.

Ordered a California burrito and the carne asada was overcooked and lacked seasoning. The “fries” inside tasted undercooked and also unseasoned, more like boiled potatoes. Ended up removing the fries. The veggie quesadilla had peppers that tasted raw. Overall disappointing experience but the salsa was actually really good and the staff seemed very attentive!

Food is OK but pretty expensive for what it is. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The Michiladas are pretty good 👍

Very overpriced Mexican food. Los Agaves in Westlake is much higher end and 25% less. I’m in shock that they are charging $18.50 for a carne asada burrito. Insane.

We went there to ate and I saw how the owner is rude .

Ordered ahead and it wasn't ready when I arrived. Went up multiple times to ask about it and they kept telling me 10 min each time. Ridiculous! Didn't even taste good after all the waiting. Strange seasoning and chewy.

I ordered food to be delivered. I ordered an enchilada burrito, which the lady on the phone said is a wet burrito, an $8 salad with ranch, and a lemonade. The order that arrived was a dry burrito, a salad covered in Italian dressing, and a coke. I can’t drink Coke and don’t like Italian dressing, so now after waiting two hours for a food delivery, I have no food. I called to try to get it resolved, but the person on the phone clearly didn’t care, and offered no resolution.
