Great little restaurant right off 281. We were on our way home from Corpus and the baby was done being strapped in so we decided to stop in here to let him get some free time and us stretch our legs. The food was good, service was quick and friendly, restaurant was very clean! I recommend stopping in for a quick bite!

I have stopped in many of times, the company I worked for last year was based near Three Rivers. This was my place to eat every day the ladies there are the best very nice. I stopped in just last weekend after almost a year of being there. Most of the lady that worked there are no longer there. The ones that are still working there are still great and friendly, always welcome you with a smile and very friendly service.

This was a good easy to find location right off the main road. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. I ordered the asada mini tacos. The food here was hot and fresh with fast service. This restaurant offered great chips and salsa and iced tea. Also the price was good.

We ordered Parriada for two! It came with plates of rice principio charros beans, salad n pico plus your choice of corn or flour tortillas along with a sizzling plate of bistek, chicken and grilled shrimp with vell peppers and onions! BEST FOOD EVER! We had enough to take a big plate to go! Great stop on the way from the valley to San Antonio. Will DEFINITELY be back! Great green and red slasas and delicious chips also! Try the lemonade its really good too!

Quick breakfast in our way to McAllen. Food was great and service was awesome.

First time here and it was great. the food was reasonably priced and it was delicious. It was slow so maybe that has a bit to do with the greatness of it all. But I prefer to look at it positively and say it was something that is done daily..I would definitely recommend.

Great place to eat you may need to know a little bit of Spanish to order your food. Order the large margarita and it was a lot bigger than I thought it would be it's definitely a two-person margarita

What a Gem! Agave Jalisco truly excels in every category. The staff was amazing – so efficient and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. And the atmosphere was just right, creating a wonderful dining experience. Highly, recommend! I'll be back next week!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Agave Jalisco – Three Rivers, TX From the moment I walked in, I could hear music playing and happy voices coming from the bar. It was karaoke night (Thursday), and the energy was definitely up — a bit louder than I expected, but honestly, it seemed like everyone was having a great time. I was looking for something more laid-back after a long day, so I chose to sit in the quieter dining area. The staff greeted me immediately and offered me a drink right away. I went with a Mexican Coke — can’t go wrong there. They brought out chips and salsa (super fresh!), and I ended up asking for extra salsa because it was so good. Ate every last chip. For dinner, I ordered the mini taquitos plate with asada. It came with grilled onions, cilantro, lime, and a roasted pepper on the side. I added a little salt and some of the green salsa, and wow — the flavor was spot on. The beans were also excellent — full of flavor, not just an afterthought. I left full and happy. Great service, great food, and whether you want a lively atmosphere or a peaceful meal, this spot gives you both.

This place is like a hidden treasure. In the middle of a very small town. We found it on our way to Mcallen. We stop for margaritas 🍹 and dinner. OMG, the food was delicious. They served us a lot of food, the drinks were delicious, and the best of all the prices were the best real steal. Great service, great food, and great margaritas. From now on, We are stopping here every time we pass thru.

Stopped in for breakfast on our way to the valley. Our server was super friendly and attentive. It really made for an enjoyable experience. The menuedo is the best. And the flour tortillias were really good. The red salsa was the perfect compliment to the barbacoa. Overall, we're really glad we made the stop and we'll be visiting again when we come down.

Arrived early in the morning to excellent service. The food was great and the portions large, making our $ spent well. All staff members were attentive and polite, coming to ask us if everything was OK several times and promptly getting things we asked for. The bathrooms are small but have everything you need. They're super clean and well stocked. The menus have pictures to go along with the dish names, making it easy to know what you're getting. The locals even say good morning to you in Spanish. My family stops here every time we travel to Mexico.

From the moment we walked in, got excited over bean and chorizo dip for chips along with salsa, complementary by the way. Awesome portions, super fast service not gourmet, but very home cooked feel to it. Absolutely loved it, glad my beautiful fiancé chose the place. Super happy

Food was good but the service was 0/10. Our waitress never checked on us. Just brought us our food and forgot about us. Don’t think they’re all like that, but that was my experience.

With the current DRASTIC renovations the place looks great. We ordered a #15 (Combo plate) and 3 enchiladas plates. It all came put super fast and and was great tasting. Will continue to go here for my texmex food needs.

Food was delicious. Place was air-conditioned appropriately (not a given this far south for reasons I haven't yet discerned). Staff was somewhat inattentive, but nice when they managed to cease their conversations long enough to come 'round and refill drinks or whatever.

Nice little Mexican restaurant! The service is good and the food comes out fast! We had the pariadalla for one and a mar y tierra but they were rather bland. The enchiladas were good! The sweet tea is also really good, not overly sweet. They also give refried beans with the chips and salsa that are really tasty. The homemade corn tortillas are really really good!

Clean restaurant, good costumer service, paid 11.60 dollars for a good breakfast plate and a coffee. Good food flavor. A lot better than McDonalds. Plenty of parking space. No issues parking my truck with a .trailer.

Good stuff. Warm bean dip alongside the standard chips and salsa. I had the #13, enchiladas, carne guisada, rice and beans. And good iced tea.

The staff was very nice. Service was quick. Restaurant was clean. Table had a little debris on it but nothing serious. Now for the food. Agave is apparently successful so take this with a grain of salt as my specific tastes may not line up with the area. Salsa, while spicy, was in need of salt and mor cilantro. The bean dip(also needed salt and pepper) was more of a watery refried beans. The sweet tea was SWEEET(remember I'm from Louisiana also). The guacamole, while very fresh, was mashed avacado. No garlic, salt, pepper, jalapeño, cilantro, lime, nothing. I also had the Mexican Taquitos (street tacos) al pastor. These were very good, and saved the meal. The meat had decent seasoning and was good texture. One small piece of gristle. No problem. The standout part of the tacos was that they use grilled onions instead of raw, and that was spectacular and perfectly suited to me exactly. Again, not bashing the place at all, just my tastes may differ from the region. All in all, decent dinner.

We sat in the bar area, they were a little busy. It took a little while for a server to come and take our drink order and no one brought us chips and salsa while we waited. I got up and went and ask a young man who works there, he was very kind and got some for us. The Chips, salsa and bean dip was delicious. Once our server came we got our drink order in & she was a great server. The karaoke was fun, the beer was ice cold and the food was good. The seating area of the corner sofa the bar is a bit crowded and uncomfortable.

My favorite place to eat on the way to Nuevo Progress. Food is fresh and tasty. Portions are big and prices affordable. The place is clean and friendly. There is a full service bar and TV. The parking lot is big, even for rigs.

It may be a language difference but call in orders are most always wrong. Please have English speaking employees take phone orders so this will not be a future problem. ON a different day, We ordered again and today not only did they leave off the bacon I found a hair in my taco ... DO BETTER JALISCO!!

Overall the food was really good but the service is pretty poor. Took forever to get chips and salsa. Also took a while for a request for sour cream and hot sauce. Server never came back after that to check on us. We had to ask another server for our check. Check never came. Our server was up front messing with his phone. Ended up just going to front to pay.

The food is good and service is great the only downfall is they tend to sweep and mop as the customers are eating. Two weekends in a row we have stopped on our way home and both times the waitresses are mopping. First weekend one waitress slipped and dropped all the food she was carrying. This weekend they were mopping as we were walking in. Floor was slippery as we were walking to our table. Once again the only negative issue I have is the sweeping and mopping as we are eating. Shouldn’t that be left until all customers are gone. All I can say is that’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Fairly ok place. Were were just passing by which i am sure is the case for the majority of it's weekend clientele. The food was pretty good for what you pay for and the drink sizes are great! The only thing that i was a bit sad about is that after we received our plates and beverages, we no longer got offered refills or asked if we needed anything else. We had to flag down our waitress for that.

The food was great! Once I was helped, the service was ok! But it took about 15 mins before anyone came to my table. The smell was horrible and very loud because of the people in the bar area.

I got the Mexican plate with beef enchiladas. It was alright, I believe it was missing a flavor. The customer service wasn’t bad, and the lady was nice.

Very disappointed, the cashier asked how was the food and I sad warmed, she called and told to the waitress on my face (very unprofessional and rude). They never refill the coffee.

We have made this trip from the valley to Austin about every couple of months for years and have always seen lots of cars at the Jalisco in Three Rivers when we go by near lunch time. We had been saying we were going to try it someday and we finally did. It was about 1:30 pm. My wife got the sour cream enchiladas and I got the carnitas plate. The food was not hot like it was it had been sitting unheated since lunch. Flavor was ok but not the best Mexican food. Salsa, service and iced tea were great. Would probably not stop there again as we were expecting much more.

The food was great. Tortillas weren't homemade or at least didn't taste like it. Ladies, please wait until we're done eating before you start sweeping. I prefer to eat my food without the extra dust!!

Menu listed price of meal was 7$ for the 3stack of pancakes and bacon. I asked for the 2 stack. Ordered a side of potatoes and water. Final bill was $23 Asked for a receipt and it only showed the total. I will not return and suggest you don’t either.

The food was not very favorable and for the price it did not have very much meat in it. It was mostly beans tortillas and queso.

Food wasn't anything special, the service wasn't great. Waitress saw me wipe the table didn't say anything didn't offer to clean it up. Ordered the lemonade and it tasted like it was made from pool water, I told her that didn't say sorry didn't say anything. This is the kind of place you go to if it's the only place thats open and you're starving.

Sat at the table for over 10 minutes before getting menus and drink order with only 2 other tables eating and 3 waitresses. Food was good. Just slow very slow. If you’re in a hurry don’t go here. Go next door to live oak grill. They have awesome food and awesome staff.

Service was terrible! Took 10+ minutes to get waited on and then a long time for the food to arrive! I ordered ground beef tacos. They were terrible and food wasn’t warm! They give you a SMALL basket of chips and a little bowl of salsa. We ate that in a few minutes and wasn’t offered more until right before our food was served. I ended up sick after eating here! Won’t be going back!

Literally tasted like a watered down version of everything. Watered down water, watered down onion, watered down bell peppers, etc. The tortillas were more like flat bread but the flat bread at Subway has more flavor. If you need to eat and you have no other option, it's something to tide you over but would not go for pleasure.

We live about 7 miles away , (in the country) lol so i callee in to place my order . The lady answered and told me to hold on and SET THE PHONE DOWN , not on hold DOWN. So after 13 minutes of no one coming back online i decided to go ahead and start driving , no one ever picked the phone back up. I pulled up to the drive thru and gave them my order and the woman was huffing as if i was bothering her . I order 2 extra sides of flour tortillas with our order . Got to the window and asked for a manager and of course was told no one was there, then she asked me why and i told her and she went and hung up the phone . No apology, nothing . Gave me my food and of course CHARGED ME FOR THE EXTRA TORTILLAS BUT DID NOT GIVE THEM TO ME . I live locally and i WILL NOT be going back !!

3 times they gave me the wrong food. I ask for natural eggs and get eggs from a box or bag. Food isn't that bad of quality except for the box or bag eggs they use. Not buying anymore food from this place or any Agave Jalisco in the south region of Texas.

The whole restaurant smelled like the restroom. My son and I decided not to eat inside after 1 min of the smell. We decided to orders. Even though we were the only people in the restaurant it took 25 mins to have them ready. Definitely never returning.

When the drive through lady gets upset that I ask to add my cream and sugar to my coffee I’m just trying to get some fresh coffee after a work trip. Didn’t know a little help with my cream and sugar would cause a huff and puff

I went to eat there on my way back home and me and my mother ordered some foods around 12:00 she ordered the menudo tomorrow Bowl I ordered a beef fajita burrito but when I saw our plates they look very amazing mother's food was hot but my food was cold and plus they didn't do the order like I asked him to and they never came to ask us that we need anything else or refreshments cell service it's disappointing and when I went to go pay for it could not understand the guy my cousin talked about this place so much that he gave it 100% it's real good as for me I will give it a 2% and will never go back

The food was horrible. We ordered 2 beans and cheese, which cost $2.35 for each taco. We ordered 1 cheese Enchilada Plate that looks like the cook prepped the food in the container and placed it in the microwave because my food was stuck to the bottom of the foam container so it was hard to eat my food. And it tasted dry. The waitress said our order would take 10 minutes. We waited 25 minutes. I kept looking in her direction, and finally, she brought us our order and told me that our food was on the container and that no one told her. No excuse. It's your order, and there were only 2 other customers in the restaurant. Don't waste your time at this restaurant. There is another restaurant a little further down the road.

Literally just had to worst experience here 12-10-23. I was greeted, given chips & salsa along with my drink but I sat at my table for 45 minutes until I decided to leave. I wasn’t tended to, the workers looked at me just to pass right on by & didn’t even bother to see if I was ready to order. The worst part is no one apologized & I still had to pay $4.20 for my drink, which should have been taken care of.. I’m never going back to that restaurant again!

Rude cashier, looked tired to answer simple questions about menu on register with tiny letters. Looked bothered I asked for packaged salt and extra lemons for my two to go orders

So I order from this restaurant often, and today @9pm I went and got the number 4. As I went to the window the lady brought my order hanging sideways. I get home and I wanted flour tortillas I got corn tortillas, that were cut in half? Weird but okay. I couldn’t even take my to go order out of the bag without getting my hands all wet and greasy and my food was shook up in the box. So I called and the lady was glad to remake my order At no cost. As I return she made it seem like my order was supposed to be greasy and that it’s normal, which may I tell you there was attitude. I have gotten this before never messy. I checked my order again but I didn’t get the full order I only got beans the chicken and lettuce no rice because they were out of rice? So I went up to the drive-through for the third time and they laughed at me because I couldn’t get my full order? I’m not one to write reviews or complain but y’all either need to get your orders right or give us our moneys worth. Also working on your customer service would be nice. Thanks.

Food was good but, Service no good It was 9:40 pm while I was eating my Sunday dinner just now They swept right around my family's table. Then began moping with some very strong fabulouso mop water. We couldn't even taste our food anymore! Only the mop stuff When I went to the counter to pay the cashier asked if everything was good I didn't want to say anything but then she rather rudely asked "what does that mean?!" "What was wrong?" So I told her the taste of fabuloso (cleaning chemical) had ruined my supper. She very smartly said "But they JUST started mopping. They had already been at it and gone right around our table. I understand they close at 10 and want to go home. But I pay for dinner and want good service. So besides ruining my dinner the cashier also treated me like I'm stupid. Wish there was a zero star option here.

I just got out of the drive thru after waiting 30min! then the food was COLD! I ordered a chicharon taco and it was hard as a rock! How could you not cook it before putting it in a taco?! Disgusting. Do not recommend it

I hadn’t gone here in a long time cause of bad service so I decided to try again today that was a mistake I ordered the sourdough burger my food was cold and my fries were all little bitty hard burned pieces it was like all the left over from the lunch rush it was a total waste of time ordering from there most definitely won’t go back

Since coming under new management; this restaurant has gone into the toilet. The fish tastes like dirt, and the service is absolutely disgusting. The drive thru line is a 20+ min wait for 3 lemonades. And when you call to cancel an order because it's taking too long, they want to charge you for it already being made and not in the 10 minutes they promise on the phone. Something needs to be done. Even my kids say the food tastes bad. Terribly disappointed from where the restaurant is now compared to what it used to be. Do not waste your time
