Well established eatery and have many local patrons. Clean shop and offers a good selection of Chinese buffet items that actually taste very good at an excellent price point. Serving team is very helpful. Food is fresh due to the high turnover 😎. Has both Chinese and American fare such as fried chicken and fries plus many more. Great for families of young and old for a fun meal. 🤩 Personally I get the to-go for the variety of food in one trip and not a hardcore buffet person. Many others seem to enjoy the buffet since the place is mostly crowded and busy all the time 👍. Will revisit.

I don't understand some of the bad reviews. We went about a month after the move from the blvd. Very clean and a lot of my favorites. We went around 1:00 and everything was hot and fresh. I'm not a sushi fan but my picky wife liked it. I had plenty to satisfy my hunger and fruit and ice cream for dessert. I liked the baked salmon, fried fish, bacon wrapped imitation crab, plus a lot of the usual selections. We also got a senior discount. we'll be going back.

Tons of options including hibachi and sushi. Mom loves the ribs I love the wonton and so much more. This is our go-to when we want Chinese food.

I was pleasantly surprised by my dining experience here. We were promptly seated and quickly served our beverages. The buffet has a wide variety of food options, pretty standard fare for a Chinese eatery. The sushi bar and hibachi grill are both FREE and included with your dinner purchase, so take advantage of that! The food was fresh tasting, not in the least bit greasy like some take out. I observed it constantly being rotated and tended to by the kitchen staff which indicated to me it was fresh. The dining room was by and large clean. The floors here and there needed a quick bit of love, but tables were quickly cleaned off and not left dirty. Our waitress was super sweet and friendly as well. Place gets a little busy even on a Monday so keep that in mind! I can't say I've ever been to a fully seated buffet before today! Oh keep an eye out for coupons, they have quite a few that float around for 10% off your meal. I recommend this establishment.

I really haven't been to a buffet since lock down, and this place did not disappoint. There was a wide variety, and everything that I had was fresh and tasty. I only wish that the sushi had been labeled. Other than that, 10 out of 10. I will be eating there the next time I'm in Buffalo!

What can I say not only do you get the bang for your buck, you have an alternative staff. The food is always piping hot and it seems like they take so much pride in each individual selection that it comes together in equals umami. They have cultural Asian food all the way down to your down home country meals would definitely recommend

First time going there about a month ago. We walked in during Prime dinner hours so it was extremely busy. The buffet was enormous. They have a large salad section. They have a large desert section. They have a very good spread of pretty much anything you can think of. Now I have heart disease and diabetes, but I was very surprised and very happy with what I was able to eat because of the huge selection including a delicious very moist salmon spread. Fried zucchini was delicious. This was my "cheat night" so I sampled all the classics and specialties because they had it all! Most importantly, since I haven't had Chinese food or buffets like this in over 4 years, I felt absolutely fine and satisfied. Great Job! It was definitely one of the best buffet selections seen in quite some time. They also have a sushi bar and hibachi...which was quite impressive. I wasn't sure which sushi I wanted, so "sushi chef" asked what I wanted which was plain raw tuna and told me to come back in 10 minutes. I was presented with a whole plate of Sushi art. Because of the freshness of the food and the selection and the staff keeping everything fresh and clean throughout the restaurant, I will definitely return.

One of me and my sons favorite buffets. I did notice a change though with the crab and cheese filled clams. I didn’t taste as much oil and flavor with the cheese or filling with the crab meat inside; you had them in like these small little silver round dishes. Please keep the original recipe with the clams. The picture I’m including isn’t your food, but its the dish I am talking about that you usually have. Thanks!

This is one of the most reliable Chinese buffets in the WNY area. There is a wide selection of food, and everything is fresh and delicious. I’ve never experienced any issues related to food safety; the restaurant looks clean and the food is well prepared. The restaurant has plenty of seating, including a banquet room. There are plenty of chicken and seafood options and numerous sides. Standard American food like wings, pizza, and fries can also be found. The dinner buffet can be pricey, but Amherst Buffet is also a great spot for a decadent (and better priced) lunch. I typically get the buffet for takeout, paying by the pound. It’s nice to enjoy the food throughout the day rather than eating in, and the quality of the food remains high even hours after bringing it home.

It is a good option to eat with the family without spending too much and everyone can choose what they want to eat. The drinks are apart from the cost of the menu, which depends on the day and time you go. If you go to Buffalo and want something to your liking and without spending too much, it is an option.

Very nice environment, super large restaurant and floor plan. Took two minutes when we walked in for dinner with a party of eight (no reservation) l. Food was great, typically I avoid buffet sushi but it wasn't bad. My wife and I came here, on a Monday and I’ll say the food selection was fairly good compared to some buffets I’ve been too. The service was attentive for re-fills and taking plates etc. and you can tell they care about the cleanliness of the buffet. Very clean and even smelled good and not fishy like some other buffets. For $17 per person on a Monday it’s a fairly good price considering they had crab legs, live sushi bar, and chicken wings to just name a few cool things that you usually pay absurd prices on in todays Economy. This was my first time trying Amherst Buffet. I was initially excited since I love Buffets of any kind, let alone Chinese Buffets. We got seated pretty much immediately and had our drinks relatively fast. As it is a Buffet, it’s almost impossible to go over everything, so I’ll only be covering the things that I had. I was not at all impressed with the crab legs. They used snow crab which are very small and barely have any meat in them. Fried Fish was actually surprisingly good! I would definitely be getting that again. The Hibachi chicken was fantastic! The honey chicken was also very good. I didn’t like the sesame balls very much, but that could just be because it was my first time trying them. Spring rolls were a hit for me! I love spring rolls a lot so I wasn’t disappointed with those. The bacon-wrapped crab wasn’t even crab, it was imitation crab, so it didn’t have much flavor at all besides the bacon. The Salmon had a very strange sauce on it that I wasn’t a fan of, so I can’t personally recommend that. In terms of the atmosphere and service, they weren’t bad. The atmosphere is nothing special. Just painted walls with a few pictures. The service is good if they are not too busy. All in all, if you are looking for a decent buffet, I would recommend this place. Just avoid some of the things I mentioned and you’ll be fine.

$18 + $3 for a Pepsi and taxes would cost you a little over $22 on a Sunday Afternoon with a large crowd of people inside. But they got Sushi and Hibachi (the Hibachi Chef was under the weather that resulted with the manager cooking the Hibachi for me in their place), which are quite good. They also have a wide variety of dishes to choose from and are presented to look appetizing (except the desserts. They're a bit under par). Definitely a place worth visiting again if you're ultra hungry.

This Chinese buffet, in my humble opinion, is the best in our area. There are 3 rows of different foods, so something is bound to catch your fancy, although some can be questioned as to it's freshness and this is based on how popular that food is. They also have a good selection for a salad and another row with desserts(also chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream cups). They have a Mongolian style option, meaning you select what you want from that area and have it cooked for you. There is also Sushi. They get very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings around 430- 630. It is a little pricey @ just under $20 during those times. I think it's cheaper for lunch and during the week. If you enjoy Chinese food like we do, you're going to like this place, give it a try.

I have been here for dinner twice. I eat salads, and hibachi! Their hibachi cooking is fine, and if I go back, that's all I eat. It is an okay place to go (only if you can control yourself not to mix too many things!) when you are hungry and don't have time to wait for fin dinning.

Again, I'm all about hygiene and this place seems to have it, I haven't gotten sick here once and I've eaten at it pretty constantly over the past year or so.

At first I was going to give it a 5 star, compared to the other buffets I’ve been to, because they have many more options and the place is very clean. I started eating my first plate, everything was great, and then I decided to try the mac and cheese, it was terrible. The buffalo wings are good, unfortunately I grabbed a drumstick and it still had like leftover feathers on the skin. It was really unfortunate because I really liked it at first. I would recommend it tho.

Nothing special compared to an ordinary buffet. The crab legs are always quickly taken, although we managed to get quite a few. There was a decent selection of items, mostly classic fried foods and chicken. The fruits and desserts were quite nice compared to other buffets I've been to, but the sushi (mostly what I ate) was limited. Hibachi is available. The interior felt really old-fashioned, but the service was great nonetheless. The price is usually $16+ per person, but on weekends and Fridays, it goes up to $20+.

Went there on NYE , food was good. Only problem was they were slow keeping the food filled. Every time you went up to get food you were waiting for them to bring out more food to refill. Took the waitress 5-10 to come over to grab our drink order then had to wait an additional 4-5 minutes for the other drinks that never came the first time. Good food, Atmosphere. Needs a little tweaking on service and speed.

I decided to come here with my friends. The food was alright, and we were there for about 40 minutes. Afterwards, our server came up to us and gave us our check, even though we did not ask for it quite yet. This was odd as it felt like we were getting kicked out even though we did nothing wrong. Lastly our total was $47.31, and I gave our server $60, expecting change back. She did not give us any change back. When I confronted her she was just as confused as I waited about 10 minutes for my change. Then she had the audacity to stand there asking for a tip. A TIP IS BASED ON SERVICE AND IT IS NOT MANDATORY, and for the service we got I was going to tip around 18% as it seemed reasonable, but simply assuming my change is the tip is crazy. (Imagine I gave them a $100 bill and they assumed the change was tip) For the location being a self-served buffet asking for a tip is simply outrageous. Definitely not going back after this experience.

While the food was awesome we need the staff to be more careful with how they handle customers, they cannot allow customers to eat from the serving lines specifically children. That contaminates the entire food and can be dangerous for others as well. Unfortunately I saw children picking up the food from the serving line and eating on the survey line while other clients/customer were trying to grab food on their plates.

Usual standard buffet fare, nothing really stands out, but I did like their Hibachi.

In my humble opinion opinions, I like the price is affordable for everyone. The service was great by staff’s members. However, the food was not that great by my standards. Besides that, it’s quite small for a standard buffet restaurant, and it needs to remodel it to look better as well.

Like most buffets... they do offer a lot of foods.. the staff is friendly and fill the needs!! The food is your basic buffet taste. It was around $30 for two people.. not too bad on pricing.

It's your typical Chinese food buffet. Fairly busy. I took my father here or I would not have eaten here. The food was ok. Usually, in these buffets the dinner is just ok. The deserts are best. Eat as much as you want. They have sushi here. I did not try it. There is the typical Chinese dishes. I enjoyed the dumplings and the fried mystery fish the best. Have at it!

We walked in and hostess continued to play with her phone and ignored us, until I spoke up and said “Two please.” We were seating next to a large family and the toddler was screaming at the top of his lungs. Not sure how you mess up cold servings, but salad was wilted and other items looked old. Peel and eat shrimp was “spit out.” It didn’t even taste like shrimp. More like- something dead out of Lake Erie. Not sure what the big deal is over the crab legs, they are so small, there is no meat and they were brown and black in some spots. They only things worth eating are the cooked, traditional Chinese chickens and noodles. The shrimp Alfredo tasted sour, like spoiled milk. The food is average for a Chinese buffet, the desserts are extremely cheap. Last time I was there their ice cream freezer was completely shut down which proves they are down sizing their options. When asked why the ice cream freezer was empty they said, "Maybe next week." LOL!!! The most severe problem at this restaurant is the rude servers that police you when you are there. They are mouthy, extremely obnoxious, barely speak English and will grab any money on the table whether they are tips or not. I gave an extra few dollar bills back to my mother which were separate from the tip given with the receipt. The money hungry server reached over to grab them. I had to go back to the front cash to explain the money was not for them. They did give me back the money they wrongly grabbed but I found this behavior so revolting that I refuse to go back to this restaurant. I also had a situation in which the cashier lied to us that we were getting lunch rates and then later wanted to charge dinner rates for our meal. These people know nothing about customer service and excel at annoying their own customers. I refuse to go back to this buffet again. I do believe that this restaurant is losing customers for the above reasons I have stated, which is very unfortunate.

The worst experience of my life , there was 3 of us they sat us at an 8 top, we asked for a booth then sat us at a booth were people were already sitting , and then made it look like it was our fault.. wait it gets better , eating our food the server maybe came over to our table twice(no biggie) but when she dropped the check we gave our credit card and she rang it and brought it back, and we gave her the credit card slip back and put a zero tip on it cause we we leaving her a cash tip, then she waits at the end of our table for a tip from us , which i thought was so wrong .. I really wanted to enjoy dinner here, but the food just wasn’t good. A lot of items seemed old, tasted off, and several dishes were cold. I barely made it through two small plates before stopping because I felt genuinely grossed out. On the positive side, our waiter and a few of the workers were extremely pleasant — they were the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the food quality overshadowed the service. I have NEVER been to a restaurant that charges extra for it a being holiday. Today is mother's Day and we wanted to find a place where my entire family could go out to dinner. Not once did anybody mention the fact that the prices would be higher due to the fact that it's a holiday they just let us sit down and have the buffet.. We then get our bill and it's quite a bit more than expected, still with no explanation and when we ask the young lady , she couldn't understand what we were talking about but she points to this little blacked out sign where the prices normally are it says "Mother's Day Special $19.99" how the heck is that a special when their normal prices are normally lower than that. On top of that I was charged for a soda and I got a water ( I had to wait at least 7 min after everybody else got their beverages to get mine). The waitress came to our table twice, once to get beverage order and once to bring checks, never even offered to remove our empty plates, and we had 9 people in total so our table was packed....Bad experience overall and don't plan on returning or referring friends or family.

Horrible experience!!!! First time we went husband got food poisoning and ended up in hospital. Thought that maybe it was something else other than restaurant but went back today with family and we ended up feeling crappy right after we left: WORST part of the night was the incredibly rude waitress. She told me children under 2 were free so I said okay that means we are only paying for 1 child who is 6. She then try’s to say no it’s actually under 1. Asked the front desk and they said under 2 and I asked them to go explain to my waitress. When I tell you the server in Chinese started yelling and acting all rude towards us after that like it was our fault she was wrong… she even went as far as to questioning us after we payed and were gathering our belongs like we were dining and dashing!!!! Like I have 1.5yr old son with me and my daughter who is 7 months old and you think we are just gonna run out of the restaurant? Honestly think she was being like that cause we are people of color and it was honestly so rude and disrespectful. Paid 170 bucks for my family (mom, sister, nephew and us) for shitty service and bad food! Don’t go!!! Save yourself the money and tummy ache.

So ran into this place accidentally! The food is not great, MSG overload! The carpet is dirty, chairs and tables are old so is their cutlery and plates! No one comes by to clean tables, then you get attitude from the owner's daughter for taking the plates to the trolley. Went in at 300pm, didn't know got hit for dinner price, but the food ain't worth it ! Rude staff did nothing, even had to ask for a drink of water, and she was hoping I'd tip her.

Awkward at first, the atmosphere felt off. I was able to get some food with my friends before we got full. We decided to pay, and when paying my friend gave 25$, 5$ was the tip since the bill costed 19$. (Keep in mind, this is a self served buffet. No idea why we were tipping in the first place) however, when she came back she asked for tip. Confused, we told her that my friend gave 25$ there that extra 5-6$ was tip. But she INSISTED that she didn’t receive that tip. She kept arguing and even got the boss involved. It felt like we got scammed and personally attacked. Never going back and never recommend anyone else to go.

I am leaving a review with 1 star and I don't believe it deserves it.., The food was ok nothing special (note the $70 recipes) That's irrelevant though My son got sick and they wouldn't let us get a "to go box" for the food we just grabbed. It also was our first plate. So we were stuck paying a $70.00 bill for food we paid for, but couldn't eat.

Food was half decent. Chicken feathers still on the chicken wings. Disgusting. but service was so terrible. The sushi chef is extremely rude and racist. He said something about Mexicans while yelling at me. I’m not even Mexican. It was so rude and disrespectful. I told the host about it and they brushed it off.

They was very rude to my daughter just for being tall. Never encountered anything like that in my life. & made a scene because they assumed i didn't pay for my food. Which i did & had a receipt for. Then the server had the nerve to blame the owner saying if she wouldn't of asked she would of gotten yelled at bu the owner because they are watching them through the cameras....the same cameras that recorded me paying? I used to dine here with my friends when we first arrived in the United States. We didn’t know much about the tipping culture, so we left $1 for every $10 meal. The staff yelled at us because of this.

food wasnt any better than any other buffet. staff was extremely rude. we paid and left a tip, and a woman came to take it so i told them to keep the change. as we were packing up about to leave another woman came to clean the table and asked why the tray that the check was on was empty. i said i already paid and she asked again why it was empty except with a lot of attitude. i told her we already paid AGAIN and left a tip but someone already took it. she started pulling us out of the booth and yelling at us in front of a crowded restaurant because she specifically didnt get a tip after i had already told her the tip was taken by a different worker. she continued yelling that shes the one cleaning our table and we need to give her a tip too. i will never go back to these people and recommend you don’t either

My husband and I have been regular customers at this Buffet. We go there every month, the least I would say is twice in a month. Last night the loud mouth waitress was so disrespectful and was mad at us because we took the table where she is assigned. I saw she was nice to those who give her the tip directly which we don't but we add the tip to the bill because the kitchen crew deserve it too. It has to be divided amongst all. The Hibachi guy, we always give him separate tip. Last night, this rude waitress was talking so loud, ignored us we have to wait for awhile to be served drinks, she did not collect the plates 😒. I asked her why she was mad and she was rumbling nonsensical stuff. I informed the lady at the counter. I lost my appetite I only ate Hibachi, my husband ate Hibachi and couple desserts and we paid more than $40, not worth it not to mention the aggravation. We were supposed to enjoy our lunch/dinner after a hard day's work however we were treated like unwanted guests. Sad part is we are not just guests but regular customers who pay for the food that we eat. I will not be going there for awhile or maybe permanently. I am looking to go to this Greek restaurant close to my place, I will be spending the same amount for a good food too while I unwind and enjoy quality time with my husband. We will be missing the Hibachi guy though who is a hard worker, works quietly and down to earth. I believe that hiring hard workers is not the only key to running a successful business but treating your customers with respect as well.

Food was good our waitress was pretty rude and I woke up this morning to cashapp saying they took 15 dollars out of my account for a tip that I did not leave her for a reason so yest the took money from my account without permission and who does that at 5 in the morning I'm sorry you don't steal money that was not given to you because you feel like you're entitled to it because you were in fact not!!! Horrible, horrible, horrible. They are insanely rude on tipping. All this waitress did was bring us a glass of water and then when my girlfriend and I paid the check we didn’t leave a tip obviously cause we served ourself and the lady through a tantrum fit and asked us why we didn’t tip her. Just stupid people and rude service. She then screamed at us in I think Chinese as we were leaving.

We decided to head here seeing they had crab legs and crawfish...we came all the way from canada... what a let down the crab barley ever got refilled and to be honest im not even mad it will stop people from getting sick... my husband went to eat a couple blue crabs and they smelt overpowering of amonia turned him rite off of eating. Not safe to eat😑 the price woulda been perfect if the food was good but they did not have many options for non seafood eaters and for kids. No wet towels or wet wipes for your hands and our server was pretty snotty. Wont go back
