THIS IS THE BEST SUB PLACE. If you're trying to decide to eat here, just do it. Its a good place to order and take out for lunch. The staff are so nice and the toppings are SO fresh, great options for sauces and they are not stingy with them either. The banana chips are such a good side too!!

Honestly my first experience here was great. I just stopped by before I hit the 401. Tried the daily special “Jerk chicken sub” was very impressed with the quality of the sub. Fresh ingredients & great prices. The soups are made in house, no “fake meats” like other sub places. I felt so great afterwards I just had to leave a tip to show my appreciation. I highly recommend you stop at this local sub spot.

Still fairly new to Toronto. Was in the area doing an errand and a Google search brought Chubby's up with a rating of 4.8. Well that rating is well deserved. Got there around 1245 and there was a lineup of the lunch crowd. Was a bit slow but they take their time to make their subs properly so very well justified. Staff was friendly and sub was made exactly as I wanted. One of the best tasting sandwiches I've ever had. Was very good! Don't hesitate, if you're looking for a really good sub, go take a visit. Pretty solid place for a sub! The vegetables are finely chopped, the meats are fresh especially the chicken! The owners are very friendly and have good customer service and has that mom and pop feel. They also have daily specials as well. The place is way better than the fast food chains such as subway and Mr sub! The value You're getting is good should be worth considering for lunch. The decor is also very clean and has that old school look which I think it's pretty awesome

This is the best sub that I ever had. It puts “Subway” to shame. If you want to have the best sub experience then you got to come here. I recommend the Steak & cheese sub. Will come here again for more and the owner was really friendly.

First time here. Was greeted the minute I walked in by Lisa and Simmy. Both were such a delight made nice conversation. Lisa let me try different sauces and explained they used fresh chicken breast and it tasted real good. In the washroom they had some feminine hygiene products if needed to use which I thought is very thoughtful. Clean nice place definitely go check it out!

Chubby's subs are an all-time family favourite for us. Yes, it has fresh ingredients and a solid selection of your usual subs, but what really raises it above the rest is how the chicken is roasted daily, how the soup is all homemade, and the amazing chef special subs. People call in to reserve their macaroni and cheese soup, and they sell out every time. I'm from Michigan, so I was excited to see they had Faygo pop, and in flavors I had never seen before. And to top it off, the people working there are incredibly kind and friendly. It was the first place we got food at when we moved to this neighborhood in 2021, and we have been regulars ever since.

I went there tonight to try the subs and I have to say they are one of the best subs I have had. It’s the old school sub shop with fresh toppings and buns. Also, it’s so nice to finally go into restaurant and have great customer service. Most places now are quiet, unfriendly and seem annoyed when you even say how are you. I will definitely make the trip to Chubby Subs whenever I have a craving for a sub. Definitely recommend!!

It was my first time going here today and all I can say is that this place deserves a 5 star for everything. :) The way they neatly placed all the toppings on the sub was impressive. The lady was also super friendly! She explained to me how they made their sandwich and walked me through the process. Overall just had an amazing experience!

Beyond the unassuming exterior lies some of the freshest, most delicious subs you've ever tasted! Chubby’s is truly one of the best restaurants around. It’s very rare that “fast food” leaves you feeling satisfied and nourished in a healthy way, but that’s what Chubby’s does. Their bread and ingredients are so fresh. I love that it’s a mom and pop shop where you’re always greeted with a smile. I appreciate their affordable prices and the fact they’ve kept them the same. My family gets takeaway here at least twice a week.

Wow, absolutely amazing. Best sub I have ever had and it was super cheap! Their prices are SO good, like unheard of good! Their food is SO delicious: fresh, tasty, made with quality ingredients. Their meat is particularly good, and most of their meats are made in store (can't beat that!). I had the club: 10/10 for sure. To top it off, there's an amazing selection of drinks and fantastic service. This place is a hidden gem, I can never go back to subway now (and I don't want to!)

Like many others have said, Chubby’s ruins every other sub place you’ve ever had. The meats, the toppings, the breads, the sauces, it’s all perfect. They have a great selection of drinks too, more than your standard pepsi/coke. The two ladies that were working were also so friendly which was really nice. All of this and it’s priced significantly below somewhere like Subway. Chubby’s is top tier.

Me and my family have been going to chubby’s subs for years. The subs are always good, friendly customer service and good prices. The jerk chicken sub on Thursday is my favourite sub here!

Consistently great food and service. I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The roast beef and turkey used in the subs are roasted on site. Daily specials rotate on a weekly basis. Can get busy at times, but worth wating for. The owner is a great guy to chat with when it's not busy.

Everything was a 5/5! Incredibly kind and quick customer service, they really care about making your sub the best they possibly can. Way more affordable than any other sub shop in the area and definitely worth it for the high quality and fresh ingredients. We tried the cheesy cheese and the grilled chicken and both were so good! Had their 12" veggie sub and it was really tasty and satisfying. The staff are courteous and they make the sandwich with love, they don't rush and slap it together... Also ingredients are fresh and prices are easy on the wallet. If you're ever in the area and crave a sub, certainly give them a try.

I use to go subway for subs until I found this place. This has ruined subway for me and having a sub anywhere else is not the same anymore. They have so many varieties but my go to is the turkey bacon. They perfected the science in building your sub. Great value and ingredients.

Great quality first off, fresh and not frozen then thawed veggies. Great service and options, the subs are just awesome, my favorite is the assorted, I double the meat and cheese, ( it's good enough with out that option ) add the sink but no green olives or jalapenos, you literally have to squish the sub to take a bite. I'd definitely try the chili (if it's available that day)if you make it in there, better than all of these sub shops. The staff is cool and they are on point with how you want it. Always a good deal with greater food and service.

Hands down the best subs I ever put in my mouth. The lady that made our food was also super nice 😊 the prices are amazing for the quality you get. The lady was telling us that they marinate their chicken for almost a week and the steak a few days. The steak is melt in your mouth and the chicken is super tender and delicious. I have been wanting to try this place for quite a while, and yesterday, I finally did. I wish that I hadn't waited so long to try it, because it was great! Picked up a few subs for my kids and myself. The bread was very fresh and delicious, and all the toppings were fresh as well. My favourite sub spot in the city. The price is fantastic. They did not inflate their prices like everyone else. The atmosphere is cool too, kind of like La Banquise in Montreal. Highly recommend the classic club. It's the perfect amount of bacon.

I love this place they have the best deal in town. You get so much meat. The subs are definitely worth the money. Everyday they have a different special. I love there soups my favourite is the Thai. Close second is wedding soup. They make a mean Greek salad. The cookies at the cash are really good to. The line up is always long. But it goes pretty fast. They have tons of seating in the back great for hosting events.

The best veggie subway sandwich I’ve had in Toronto!! Cozy place with excellent staff and ambiance. Makes sense why this place is rated so high! You get a foot long for $6 and it tastes amazing. I'm never having Subway or Quiznos near me after visiting this place today. It's like a hidden gem of Scarborough for sure, many people drive by but never go in. Prices are amazing, their daily special footlongs are only $6.4. Service was very friendly, they also don't skimp on the portions while making your Sub. They make the bread in-house and you can taste the difference. Inside gives off 80s/90s vibes, the pictures, colours and paintings around the dine-in area are so cool! Makes you feel like you've travelled back in time. I'll definitely be coming back!

Wow. This really sucks!!! I have a sub franchise that's a 2 minute walk from my house. And after trying Chubbys subs, I can never go there again. Family of 5, $38, ingredients are super fresh and over flowing. The bread is amazing and Chris and staff are super welcoming. BEST SUB EVER(CHICKEN CLUB)!!! I just finished my sub, and I'm already looking forward to going back.

Affordable subs available in a great variety of meats and each day of the week, there’s a special cut that’s discounted. Also wide variety of toppings as well as sauces. Staff are nice, inside has plenty of seating and hand sanitizer (important as eating gets messy!) I will say that I got half of my sandwich to go and when I got back to it a few hours later, the bread was a little soggy but that’s to be expected. They accept cards. 😊 assorted sandwich was good, we also got one with bacon and their bacon is also very yummy!

This sub absolutely slaps. Got an assorted sub and the toppings were immaculate. The lady who helped us was soooo delightful. She was super nice and incredibly precise putting our subs together. She had a flow and it really just made the subs that much better! Loved this place. Quality to price ratio is incredible.

I was in the neighborhood and figured, I'd give this joint a try! I went with Turkey Bacon. The sub was delicious. Ingredients are fresh and the bread was soft. Keep an eye out for the Chef's special. I wish I knew about it before I ordered. Looks like I'll just have to come back and try it!

OMG BEST SUB EVER!!! I just tried this place for the first time and I’m incredibly impressed by the quality, flavour, and the superb service I received from the owner and 2 young ladies working tonight. They were all so kind and patient with me as I took my time deciding what to get. They were also really helpful with recommendations. I ended up going with the grilled chicken sub on whole wheat bread and it did NOT disappoint. My mom and I split it and tried it on the highway heading home, and it was so good that we exited the highway and made a U turn to go back and buy 2 more. This place is definitely a hidden gem. Best subs! Great value and service. Excellent choice for a healthy meal for take out, there is also a fair bit of seating available. Love the veggie sub. Cream of mushroom soup is available on Wednesday's, that would be my recommendation for vegetarian soup.

I am very critical of food. That being said, the food here is excellent! The food is fresh The veggies are cut fresh daily The Jerk chicken marinates for days and it’s reflected in the flavor The food is easily a 9/10 But the customer service was better than the food which says a lot. I can't get enough of this place. Fast, great prices, efficient, fresh toppings, friendly service. Customers are always happy in the store. The man ahead of me was getting a chopped salad for his wife and it looked excellent - enough salad for like 2 people. You can't beat it. I tried a steak and cheese this time, working my way around the menu. Meat is piled high as always, nicely toasted. I only wish I'd have asked for another sauce to make it a bit more saucy but it's still excellent. My coworkers are always jealous that I go here without them 😁

Amazing sub place in Scarborough, this is an old school joint where you can get a great lunch for reasonable price. They also have daily specials that allows you to try a different sub each time. The staff there are also very kind and the restaurant is clean and lots of seating for dine in. Washrooms are tidy. Recommend trying their deli subs. I also heard that the owner only orders and uses Canadian products .

Since I recently moved, I’ve been on the hunt for a good, local sub spot like I used to have. Think I found her! Went with a footlong jerk chicken sub, toasted, with cheese, cucumbers, onions, lettuce, tzatziki and S&P. So much flavour, good spice level, veg was super fresh, bun was uber soft. Staff were super friendly. Lots of regulars were there at the same time as me. Always nice to see! The price point for what you’re getting is a wonderful relief these days. Was approx 11$ total, but that’s because it was the special. There are cheaper options which all looked equally delicious. Here’s a Canadian-owned restaurant I hope people will continue to support 🙏

This is one of the best sub places in the city. The sandwiches are piled high with toppings, all of which were exceedingly fresh when I went there on a random weekend afternoon. Kind staff and delicious sandwiches. Restaurant is really big inside with lots of seating available. They have really cool sports memorabilia on the wall too. The staff were very welcoming with warm smiles and kind attitude. The young who helped me was quick and efficient and helped me navigate through the process with patience. Another lady offered me a cucumber with a sauce I wasn’t even considering but it tasted so good I had to get it on my sandwich. It’s the little things like that which make a difference. The sandwich was neatly prepped, bread tasted fresh and served perfectly toasted. I got the turkey and bacon footlong and it was delicious. I would definitely get it again! All the veggies are freshly prepped and you can taste it. I will definitely be back here. They also have a great deal for the sub of the day, 9$ for a footlong! Thanks for a great lunch!

Wow, you gotta'eat here! 5 out 5 all day long. Wonderful humans who clearly love what they do work behind the counter. Their passion and love for the food they serve easily comes through with every bite. Top notch ingredients, fresh veggies, perfect amount of sauce, just the right amount of meat to hit the spot. I highly recommend the ASSORTED SUB if you don't know what to order. Plenty parking available in the plaza. Plenty dining seats are available in the back of the restaurant. What a hidden gem. Quite possibly some of the best Subs in the City and I’m so glad I found this place as I’ll definitely be returning again. Plenty of parking outside and a nice clean well decorated store with great friendly service. Most importantly the food is amazing and the prices are more than fair. They have daily specials and special recipes on certain days. I had the Bacon Club for my first try and it was fantastic. They load it up with meat and any toppings you want and everything is super fresh as well as the bread. The awesome lady working told me to come back on a Thursday to try their Jerk Chicken special sub one day and I will be doing that for sure. Great job by the owner and employees there to make a great quality product and keep the pricing fair which will guarantee my return one day soon 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I drove past this place on my way to getting my COVID vaccine shot and thought, “that looks like a place I need to check out”. Confirmed by lots of positive reviews. I can’t remember the last time I had a sub, so in all fairness to Chubby’s, this might in fact be “Toronto’s best sub sandwich”. IMO the bread was a bit doughy for my liking, but the service was great; the place was clean and the portions were generous. A good place to try if you’re into sandwiches.

I've heard about this place a long time ago but just tried it today for the first time. They really make the food with love here and it shows. I would highly recommend.

Nice little place — very clean with plenty of seating. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. It’s definitely a busy location, but they have enough staff on hand, so the wait time wasn’t bad at all. The only downside for me was the bread; it wasn’t as fresh as I expected, which took away a bit from the overall experience. I had heard good things and was excited to try it, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype. It wasn’t bad by any means, just not as amazing as I had hoped. Price was good also I’d still say it’s worth checking out, especially if you’re curious about the franchise. With a few small improvements, it could be a great spot.

Food was meh. Ordered the Greek chicken sub. Chicken was a bit dry and bland. Only the top portion that had the marinade had any flavour. They only had white and whole wheat bread, none of the special varieties that other sub places have. And the toppings were limited as well, again, none of the special toppings that other sub places have. That's probably how they managed to keep prices down. The only saving grace was the price which was affordable. You get what you paid for.

Seeing all the 5 star reviews I was inspired to go there. I asked for a grilled sandwich. So, naturally they went to use a microwave instead. The chicken looked bland and depressed. They had topped it pff with some dark brown mystery meat (possibly bacon) that was extremely dry. I told the employee to cancel my order and I immediately left. Do NOT go there. Do NOT trust any of those 4 and 5 star review. I question the legitimacy of those reviews after my experience.
