We haven’t been to Gitano since 2018 and were thrilled to find the food still excellent, vibes immaculate and service impeccable. Their NYE menu was thoughtful and delicious, the entertainment and flow of the evening magical, and the music (minus the closer, sorry bro) perfect. Julia was our server and she was one of the best servers I’ve had in my life. Not hyperbole. I waited tables for years and let me tell you, this woman was on her shit. She was attentive, friendly, organized, passionate and fun. Truly fantastic.

Our waiter Eddmar was amazing, attentive and gave good food recommendations but also gave us space to take our time with our meal. An unforgettable night at Gitano Jungle! The atmosphere is absolutely magical from the beautiful jungle setting to the incredible energy of the crowd. The dancers were so cool and full of life, adding such a special touch to the evening. The DJ kept the music flowing perfectly all night long, and we couldn’t stop dancing! The food was delicious, every dish packed with flavor, and the cocktails were just amazing 🤩 so creative and refreshing. Truly one of the best spots in Tulum for a vibrant night out.

The dancers created such a fun and unique vibe, and the DJ played an incredible set that kept the energy high all night. ¡No dan copas de vino! (Foto) Un lugar que te cobra 400 pesos por una coliflor con pipian debería mínimamente invertir en unas copas de vino, también te cobran el “cargo de pago con tarjeta” eso no debería pasar ya cobran lo suficientemente caro como para que me cobren por pagar con tarjeta, el servicio muy bueno y los meseros son muy amables pero financieramente son muy miserables, ya que hasta 5 tortillas te cobran extras, el problema no es el precio a pagar es que un restaurante “de lujo” como se supone que son no deberían cobrar por cosas tan insignificantes como esas.

The food was okay. Not as good as Arca, Nu, or other nearby restaurants, relatively sub-par. Cocktails tasted pretty watered down. The service was okay, however at the end of the meal, the server (Edward?) basically forced us to tip 30% on our meal. He automatically entered 20% "for the guys back there" and then told us we needed to top additionally for him. This is pretty disrespectful and misleading, it really ends the meal on the wrong note. We paid $220 USD for 2 entrées, 2 appetizers, and 2 cocktails. Very pricey for mediocre food and poor service.

Llegamos con mi pareja poco después de que abrieran y mientras comíamos empezaron a acomodar las cosas, estrellaron un foco contra el ventilador, nos cobraron el agua 10usd, la comida super cara y nada del otro mundo! Pésima experiencia. Al momento de pagar la cuenta notamos que el total del ticket no coincidía con el monto real que se nos estaba cobrando. Además, pagamos en línea el open bar por $70 USD, recibimos el comprobante, pero al revisar la app del banco vimos que el cargo fue de $91 USD por persona. Revisen muy bien su cuenta, porque intentan cobrar de más. Por eso la gente ya no va a tulum.

Fuimos a comer con amigos y la experiencia dejó mucho que desear. La comida estuvo bien, pero los precios son completamente desproporcionados: por 3 cafés, una caipirinha y una carne asada terminamos pagando casi 200 USD. Además, aplican un recargo por pagar con tarjeta, algo que no corresponde en un lugar de este nivel. En definitiva, una relación calidad-precio muy mala. No lo recomendaría ni volvería.
