Recommended by our taxi driver as a favourite for him and other locals, and wow I can see why. The charcoal‑grilled pollo asado was amazing - juicy, smoky and exceptionally flavourful, even the breast! Portions were generous and everything was fresh and super satisfying. It’s a simple, no-frills roadside spot, where the food speaks for itself. Authentic, affordable, and downright delicious, loved by locals and visitors alike, one of our top meals in Tulum. Shame we only became aware of it for our last dinner!
Highly recommend this unassuming spot in Tulum centro. Their roasted chicken is delicious. The ribs were also very flavourful! Seems to be a local spot so the vibe was awesome with affordable prices.
The best Pollo asado restaurant in Tulum. Delicious juicy charcoal grilled flovored chicken. Grilled onion is also delicious. Reasonable prices. I keep coming back 😋
Big portion of super tasty ribs.there were almost no bones at all.served with tomato spicy dip,beans, rice and small salad..just super tasty and cheap with respect to other more fancy restourants.
Very good chicken, well cooked and not fat at all. Very fair prices, we had the 3/4 chicken for 2 people. It comes with salad, salsa and rice (+tortillas). We’ll come back for sure.
A 1/2 Pollo is perfect for two. Delicious and I am heavily seasoned food eater... I would surely go back just for chicken and rice. The service was fast and the prices fair.
One of the few places open after a storm came through, it was worth the wait in line. SN: the photo is two days later we had to return to really be able to enjoy the food.
Great place to get some of the best "broiled take out chicken'" in Tulum. This spot is perfect if you want for a small lexoensive lunch or something to snack on at the beach or back at your Airbnb. You can order the chicken in a variety of sizes (quarter,half or full) accompanied with rice lettuce fresh tortillas and a spicy tomato sauce. You can't be a half a chicken rice and some sides for five bucks. Definitely worth a visit on your trip just to taste something other than tacos.
Oh my GOD their papa con queso!! A little foil pouch of mashed potatoes and heaven. Great for some comfort food on a rainy day. I got the 1/4 chicken and that when I was really hungry and it was the perfect amount. The chicken itself was delicious too. Definitely going back! Staff was friendly. Bathroom acceptable. All in all cozy little diner tucked into the main strip.

Maybe I went to early (it was around 1130a) but the chicken was not as juicy as i expected. Could be from the night before. It was OK.
The chicken is good, you just have to make sure it’s hot, sometimes they serve it cold.
Great roasted chicken at very good price. 1/4 chicken per person is more than enough. Comes with arroz, salad and spicy sauce. Try the grilled onion too ;)
Local pollo or chicken restaurant which is serving grilled chicken in a traditional way on a fire pit. The very tasty chicken is affordable and served with tacos, cabbage, rice and chilli peppers. Go here for a quick bite or if you like to taste the real BBQ chicken in a classic Mexican way.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the chicken here is great—if you get a fresh batch. Unfortunately, I ordered delivery through Tomato, so I couldn’t be there to ensure it was freshly made. What arrived was cold, dry, and stale. I did dress it nicely and make it virtually presentable 😂.
This place is like a fast food grill chicken. Opening at 9am means they start to work at 9. The chickens are not ready until an hour or so later :/. When we came , a few other people were already waiting. I ordered a chicken and tried to get other items on the menu like the soup, spaghetti, and grilled chili. None of those were available :(. Their chicken is small, and comes with a small bag of rice, tortillas, some cabbage like coleslaw, and spicy tomato sauce. Pretty cheap. The chicken is kind of plain to me, not lots of seasoning, taste better if eating with the spicy sauce. Bue my kids like plain chicken like that. My daughter ate like 1/2 chicken :D.
It was 12h30 and I was one of the first at the place. The chicken and the rice were ready but they were cold/warm. I guess I was unlucky. Your best bet would be to go when there is a lot people so the chicken doesn't sit there for a while. Overall the chicken was tasty. The rice was fine and the cole slaw also nothing amazing. I would only recommend this place if you are hungry and want a cheap place.
The chicken is nothing special, the rice is cold, and the ribs are large, fatty pieces that are difficult to chew. They don't serve alcoholic beverages, and the restrooms are scary. In short... overall, a place to avoid.
