Wow, great dinner!! I had the Dragon basket. Nice crisp vegetables with a nice variety of seafood. I will be back again soon!!

Nice place for a quick (and huge) meal. My partner and I dined here for the first time and enjoyed ourselves. He ordered the sweet and soue chicken and I had the Mongolian beef. All together, we paid only $18. Our waitress was welcoming and worked very quickly. The interior is nicely decorated and even features walls that looked like pagodas that provided privacy to any visitors that needed it. There's plenty of parking outside the restaurant including handicap lots.

I had the dinner combo that consisted of plain fried rice, Kung pao chicken, and brocolli chicken. My boyfriend had the dinner combo that consisted of plain fried rice, orange chicken, and sweet and sour pork. Both dishes came with soup. I got the hot and sour soup. My boyfriend got the egg flower soup. Everything was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place. I also will definitely come back.

As a person who is new to Chinese food, this place was amazing. The food tasted delicious, the portions were perfect for the price. And the atmosphere was enjoyable. I really liked the little booths. Overall. I truly enjoyed this place and would highly recommend it to everyone. :)

Went for a birthday, we had 9 adults and 1 baby, they had plenty of room to accommodate and service was fast and friendly. Huge amounts of food for lunch combos & for a great price. I'd say it was about $20 per person w/drink and appetizers, but you easily get 2 or 3 meals out of each plate. Highly recommend!

Idk why but they are closed till the end of April. I'll definitely be going a lot more when they come back so they can make up for that time off! Can't let this gem leave Turlock! First time at Golden Dragon and I had a great experience. Friendly service and reasonable prices. The deep-fried pepper chicken was amazing — super crispy and flavorful. The walnut shrimp and Hunan beef were also very good. Best when eaten fresh! I’ll definitely be back.

Updating my review from 3 years ago, from 3-5 stars. This place has definitely improved (or I've forgotten how it compares to Bay Area Chinese food) 🤭 This place is now a family favorite. Great food, usually ready to pick up in 15mins, with friendly service.

I've tried a few items, but my favorite thing to order is the wonton noodle soup, and deluxe rice. Its so good, for a decent price. I always order to go and the packaging is very neat, soup is very hearty with meats, and veggies.

They have a sizzling rice soup that has become my absolute favorite beginner. The place is quite and I've never had to wait a long time to be seated. I haven't been here during peak hours so I'm not sure, but the food is deliciously good.

Delicious food and mostly excellent service. Kid friendly too! The only issue I've ever had here is when we are in a big group...getting the server's attention was a feat for some reason, but they are normally excellent.

Yummy we ordered BBQ pork fried rice, beef broccoli, foil wrapped chicken, pot stickers, chicken chow mein. Loved the beef broccoli yummy and pot stickers were packed with meat.

I got the beef fried rice which was pretty good, I liked how the meat wasn't that tough and kinda just melted in your mouth so I recommend this place if you have the time or wanna eat before going to the movies

I read the reviews that shared how the service was bad. We almost didnt try it, because of that. However I am so glad we did! We got seated right away, and there were many servers and they all worked together, so you had many people checking on you. They were all friendly and helpful. So the service was excellent. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. The only thing we didnt care for was the soup. It was the sour soup, rather than the egg soup we enjoy. But other than that, we had a great experience.

The office ordered lunch today, and our experience was top-notch! Their steamed rice was perfectly sticky for their entrées. We will be back.

Kind of dirty front door but food is good. Service friendly.

Best ever walnut prawns. Beef broccoli and vegetable fried rice excellent. Hot and sour soup not so much. Way too much pork not enough of everything else. Next day had to heat in microwave for 3 to 4 minutes to get soup again. Will go back but not for soup.

I've been here maybe 10 or more times since 2013. The food is amazing that part is great. I just want to say I'm not really a picky person and it takes alot to offend me but the staff here is very odd. Every single time I have been here the service has been awful and the people there are rude. I like the food so much that now and then I feel like going even with the rude service but the last time we were there was like... idk. We waited maybe 40 minutes, my husbands food came out then we waited for mine. His was hot so I said go ahead and start but then it was like 20 minutes later so like a full hour of waiting and they asked my husband if he wanted the check and we were like what? We asked about my food and they looked confused as if I'd never ordered anything. We ordered together from the same waiter at the same time I spoke clearly and asked for one thing to be changed and the waiter acknowledged etc. Idk the bad service just not worth it anymore but they do have carry out lol so maybe we will switch to that.

My food was excellent Mongolian beef and kong pao chicken, the rice is bland my wife's Almond chicken had very very little chicken and the broccoli beef came with a huge amount of garlic AFTER they were told NO GARLIC! Can't follow simple instructions. Service was good.

Decent, depending on what you get. String bean with choice meat is not bad. The tin foil chicken was somewhat burnt and strange taste. Had good dishes in the past, may be depending on who the cook is~

Got seated and was expected to order right away. Was our first time trying the place and had no idea what to get. Waiter stood by table with her pad ready and wouldn't take the "we aren't ready yet" as a hint to come back in a few minutes. Other than that the food was served very quickly and in huge portions. However we disliked that they kept walking back and forth near our table and asked every 5 mins if we were okay. Made us very uncomfortable that we asked to take our food togo.

Pretty standard Chinese fare, but a decent place to take your lunch break because they have a good combo menu with really sizeable portions. Not super great in terms of table service, though. Also the restrooms they have there are comparable to a gas station.

Food is very bland. No flavor, I got the beef and broccoli and it's super slimy like it sat all day. The tsao chicken is soggy as well...all of it has no flavor at all 👎👎

Pretty disappointed with this place overall. There were woody bits in the chicken and broccoli (which was also undercooked), the curry (ordered extra spicy) was maybe on par with some black pepper, and no rice for either item. That could be on me. Coming from across the country and seeing literally everywhere else include rice with entrées that need it, it did slip my mind to check. Pot stickers and the fried rice were good and fine respectively and the reason this isn't a 1 star review.

the Mongolian beef flavor was very tasty but the beef is such a weird rubbery texture and you cannot eat this and the broccoli chicken has zero flavor at all. Just not good. My first and last time there.

Bad service with at best mediocre food. 3 of us went Saturday night around 7 and there were lots of empty tables. We were seated quickly but then looked around as waitresses kept walking by us. Finally flagged one down and she said she wasn't our waitress but would go get the one for our table. Then a waitress who we haven't seen yet comes over and asks us what we want. She had a hard time answering basic questions about the menu but the worst part was that she answered the phone right in the middle of taking my order! At that moment I saw two people at the front desk and two other waitresses. The call sounded personal. Our order was finally placed and the appetizer we ordered of foil wrapped chicken came out. It was gross. The chicken inside tasted like it was canned. That was served with a chunky red sauce that made things even worse. After a while one of our entrees came out dropped off on our table by a different waitress. But only one entree. That was followed up a few minutes later by the ice cream bowl of rice delivered by yet another waitress. Then yet another waitress, yet again not ours sets another plate on our table without saying a single thing. We figure it out but at least tell us what you are putting on the table. Finally 15 minutes after the first entree had been delivered, the final entree is delivered by our order taking waitress. The salt and peppered shrimp was soggy. The Peking shrimp had larger slices of ginger than water chestnuts. The worst was the szechuan style scallops that smelled like urine. My brother agreed that the dish really smelled bad. They were kind enough to take it back and I ordered general Tso chicken that wasn't offensive. Overall this was a horrible dining experience. Maybe it was an off day. But with the combination of mediocre/disgusting food and crappy service I will never be returning to Golden Dragon. Caveot emptor.

I had the Hunan Beef. Not good, not bad just not great. I found out how bad it really was 4 hrs later and for the rest of the night. That hotel might not let me stay there anymore...🤨

We got seated quickly because it was almost empty. One lady was really nice and polite while our main waitress was passively rude. The music was literally one track that endlessly repeated. The food was disgusting and unpresentable. The hot and sour soup was way too peppery for us to enjoy the taste. There was no beef in our "tomato beef chow mein" and there was too much sauce for its own good. The sweet and sour shrimp also had too much sauce and batter and heavily dehydrated us. Some reviews said this restaurant is the best in the area. We were just passing by the area, never having visited here before, so we can only imagine how terrible the other Asian cuisines are. If you are looking for an authentic Asian cuisine, this is NOT the place to go.

This place used to be amazing but now it has difficulties. Maybe it has a new owner? The last four or five times we ordered from here there were problems. The bag was broken open so the food was falling out of the cartons, food was missing from the order, we would get someone else’s order, and this last time, everything in the order was wrong and the restaurant just didn’t seem to care. They do not give a lot of soy sauce, hot mustard, etc. It’s best if you walk-in to pick up if you decide to order from here but why should you have to? Why can’t they get it together so you can get the food you ordered and have it delivered?

We did a to go order, days later I looked at my credit card statement and realized they tipped themselves over 20%!! 😡 double check your receipt if your still planning on going there.

If you like rubbery chicken this is the place for you. Low quality food . No cook is wearing an apron , gloves or mask. They leave the food on the floor outside in the back , then serve it to customers. Disgusting.
