We had a reservation but at the last minute we had to add several people to our party. While it was a little hectic trying to get tables settled the staff, especially Shirley, was so helpful. While the food did take quite a while it really wasn't as bad as it could have been. This is a good little spot!

Great restaurant and great food. Thanks for helping us with our company reunion again this year. Shirley was so helpful and all the staff are wonderful.

Came for lunch, very satisfied! Sat in a booth and drinks presented within a short couple of minutes. Had the Cobb salad, friend had the Poke salad. Delivered quickly, very good quality ingredients and very tasty! Service was attentive without hovering. Will return.

One of the best country fried steaks and gravy I have ever had. The service was incredible. I will be back

The steak skillet was a fulfilling dish for breakfast along with its delicious taste. The coffee was great. My husband ordered the waffle dish and he enjoyed it. I just want to thank the staff. Their service was excellent!! It is very rare that we come across such exceptional servers in this time of age. Jorge delivered an outstanding service. He would check in to ensure if there was anything we needed through our meal, along with serving us water/coffee and even removing any unwanted dishes at the table. The 2 other staff members also checked in to see if we wanted more coffee, which I thought was kind of them. I definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be visiting soon.

Popped by on Mother's Day for a bite. I was alone because of travel and was worried I wouldn't be able to get a table because of the holiday. They worked me in -- the woman up front was wonderful! The server's assist was attentive and my server was great. The food was so delicious! Perfect hashed browns and an incredible omelet. Thanks to the server for helping me choose my food. Hats off to the chef for such great breakfast food!!

Fantastic service on a Friday morning! And we enjoyed our food and the homey atmosphere as well. Steak skillet, French toast, biscuits, hash browns, and their eggs are all good!

This is one of the hidden gems of Orange County. It's privately owned and the friendly staff works hard to make the patrons feel at home. The food is delicious!! I recommend the corned beef hash and the Reuben sandwich. Get there early as they are only open until 2:30 PM.

While first impressions most likely would lead most to thinking it's just another diner, all I was very pleasantly surprised at just about everything: the food, the service, decor, and atmosphere! I ordered from the lunch menu, as I wasn't particularly interested in anything on the breakfast menu, and got my usual "feel a place out" order of the liver seen in the attached picture. It was probably one of the thickest cuts I've had and it was served with caramelized onions, bacon, very creamy mashed potatoes, and roasted vegetables. They also get bonus points for not serving cold tomatoes or fruits, meaning they were stored refrigerated! Everything was fantastic, with an affordable and reasonable price tag on the bill.

If I could rate the service 6 stars out of 5 I would. Our party of ten, including my beloved dog, was accommodated seamlessly for brunch with very little notice on a holiday weekend. Shirley greeted us with the warmest welcome and George tended to our table patiently and meticulously. Thank you from our entire family💕 Pictured: 7 grain pancakes with blueberries

I had the Eggs Florentine and they were delicious. Mimosas were very tasty. Our server, Misty, was a hoot and on top of her game. Definitely will be coming back.

Like a hearty breakfast? You'll LOVE the Citrus Cafe. On the menu are several wonderful options. I took my youngest daughter who was visiting from up north. We had a great meal. I had the Pancake Sandwich with sausage and eggs over medium and she had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. We were both amazed. I came back this last Saturday and enjoyed the Salmon Benedict and I have to say the eggs were the most perfectly cooked I've ever had. I highly recommend it if you're wanting a great experience with food. It's not cheap but it's worth the money.

Shirley and the staff provided over the top customer service for a party of 40+ and accommodated each late guest. The coffee didn’t stop flowing & the food was served hot with large portions, fresh, & delicious! This location is definitely a great place to gather a large group with plenty of elbow space in the banquet room. Thank you, thank you for a great experience!!!

My good friend and I decided to try out Citrus Cafe 🍊☕️ for the first time today during this Labor Day weekend 🇺🇸🙂! And we are so happy we did 😄 🙌! We decided to go somewhat early before the major crowd would come during the peak lunch hour. Our waitress, Misty, and another waiter who served us were amazing and friendly 😃! Misty suggested the Chorizo Eggs Benedict 🐷🍳 and the Salmon Eggs Benedict 🍣 🐟 🍳 which were both super tasty choices 😋! I also asked for coffee ☕️ because I was still super tired from the past 2 days and really needed something to perk me up 😉! This cafe 🍊☕️ is so nice and quaint, and perfectly located in the more industrial area of Tustin so that it’s not smack dab in the boisterous and nutty shopping or dining areas of the city 🙂! Parking 🚘 is plentiful in their lot as long as you come at the right time and before they get busy. It’s really an awesome place to catch up with friends and family and have a great conversation and truly catch up 😁!

I had a big tasty California omelette that unfortunately was cooked too much to be dry in places. With the bottom that browned too much too be distracting from the better tastes. Iced tea filled constantly.

The food here is outstanding. Prices are very fair and the service is good. They tend to get busy pretty quick but I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes. I had the Country Fried steak Benedict which is my favorite. My guests loved their meals too. Pictures included below.

Stopped in here for my first time, for lunch. Ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich with fries. It was so delicious! The service here was great. Very prompt with our order. My mom and I split this meal and it was perfect. They had it all cozy and decorated for Christmas too. I like this place.

I usually come to this place for breakfast on the weekend. I'm always greeted with a smile by the hostess upon entering. The servers are always friendly and very quick to take our order. The food is excellent. In fact, the portions are large too fill you up or leave you with leftovers to take home.

Great food. But for being a cafe, the latte/espresso could use some work. I would definitely go back though. The pizzas are amazing, as are the sandwiches. Lunch menu starts at 11, and not a second before haha. Give it a shot.

Delicious food, cozy environment, great service. Just watch those Bloody Mary's! They are super spicy. We had several drinks with lunch. It would be more like $20 a person without alcohol.

Breakfast in the bar (opens at 6:30am). This was perfect for an early starter like me. Slow on Thursday mornings with little help. BUT,... the waiter in charge was able to handle everything. Quality food brought out in a reasonable amount of time; friendly and prompt service despite the seemingly lack of help. I had the smoked salmon bagel with hashbrowns and coffee. The meal met my high expectations.

Went here to celebrate my mother's 87th birthday. I was pleasantly surprised by the service and quality of food. We were a party of 10, and the service was excellent, the food was very good, and it was not ridiculously expensive. Entrees ranged in price from $12 to $15 for lunch.

One of my favorite places to eat. Great service and excellent choices. I love the French dip! The meat is tender with just the right amount of fat. I love the bread and sauce As you wait for the main dish. A++

After driving 6 hours from Phoenix and checking into our hotel, it was 8:15pm and we were starving. We showed up 30 minutes to close. They were super friendly and accommodating even tho they were closing soon. Server recommended a good IPA (Uinta Hop Nosh) which was delicious and some food. Food was excellent and we hurried up even tho our server told us to take out time. Excellent service, setting and food.

I ordered food for Easter brunch. It has a good selection of the usual brunch favorites -- waffles, pancakes, omelettes, and egg dishes. Everyone got what they wanted. They are still trying to figure out the whole online ordering thing. They didn't see that I was placing my order two hours in advance. They made it as if I was picking it up ASAP. So they had to remake the order when I came to pick it up. They were very quick remaking the order and apologetic. The food was still tasty as always and I'm sure they'll work out the online order details.

Stuffed chicken breast and bread delicious. Great wait staff. This is an update to my last review. Ate the Tilapia today. Had to ask for no salt because of a new low sodium health plan. Not only did the Chef accommodate my request, it was delicious. This place is my favorite.

My Husband and I went here for breakfast on a Tuesday morning on a whim. There was one server and one cook working when we arrived and the server made sure that we understood that they were short staffed as they had a party of 30 in half of the restaurant. Even with this warning we decided to stick it out. The service was great. Our server was quick to get to us and take our orders. The food cam quickly and was delicious. I think we will be back to take out a pie on out way out of town as we were too full to even think about it after our generous breakfasts.

Took my husband here for his birthday dinner. The homemade bread and dipping sauce was great, as were the side salads. My husband ordered pizza it was fantastic and full of flavor. I ordered the rack of lamb. It was a beautiful presentation with pureed potatoes and broccoli, carrots and haricot verte. The rack of lamb was cooked perfectly...so were the vegetables. All of it tasted fabulous!!! We even took home an individual banana cream pie to split for dessert and it was fantastic! Excellent birthday dinner and the prices are great!!!

OMG Deliciousness! Stopped here for breakfast. Three of us ordered the stuffed French toast and my husband had the steak and eggs breakfast special. Can not rave enough about the French toast. The filling was sweet enough to not need any syrup but had hints of tart from the orange marmalade. The steak was fine. A little tough but not so much I couldn’t cut it with a butter knife but their home fries were excellent. They are still using real potatoes and not the frozen bagged ones that everyone has switched to. Highly recommend a stop here.

Mimi’s copied this place. Great food anytime, help was super. What’s better than most breakfast places, it’s an all the time place where you can get a Bloody Mary, mimosa or anything from a full bar. Great egg dishes, sandwiches and the best restaurant crispy French fries. Around the corner from Micro Center and better prices than going down the 55 to get to high price near the beach places. 2 minutes off the 55 to get back on FastTrak lanes.

A wide selection of meal options with generous portions. I did not visit during their high traffic times. Staff was very attentive, courties, and welcoming. The meals were very well made, the very thing good memories are created from, and their presentation matches those nostalgia driven memories of happy family outings in the best ways. If I'm ever in Tustin again, I will certainly be visiting Citrus Cafe for another amazing meal.

Great service, food and atmosphere. Our waitress was great. We went Saturday morning. Minimal waiting. Outdoor seating and ample parking. Corn beef hash was excellent. Good out of the way place in a not so congested weekend area.

One of my favorite breakfast/brunch places. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. And the food quality is so good. I always crave the chorizo eggs Benedict and I am picky with the sauce on the Benedict but love their lemony sauce mixed with the chorizo. So yummy!

This review is overdue. My parents took my family and me to Citrus Cafe just about every time we came to visit them. Service and food were consistently good. My parents moved in 2018 and we hadn't visited since that time. Then, earlier this year, my father passed away. I was planning his memorial luncheon from out-of-state and was struggling to find an appropriate location. Then I remembered The Citrus Cafe. When I called, I was put in touch with Shirley, who walked me through the process with kindness and a ton of compassion. She graciously answered my *many* questions. On the day of our celebration of life in June 2022, everything was delivered as promised. We were well taken care of from the moment we arrived. The room was perfect for our smallish group of 24 people. We were able to set up display tables and show a slideshow on a large TV set up in the banquet room. Shirley alleviated as much stress as possible during a difficult time. She is a gem.

We come almost every weekend for breakfast here and its always wonderful. The service is perfect. We sit in the booths by the bar and are greeted (and remembered!) by the same waiter. The busboys know us too and they're all quick to respond. The food is upscale but excellent. Favorites include the stuffed French toast, the steak n eggs, eggs florentine and the waffle. The breakfast pizza is delicious, regardless of how it may sound. Ive never been here for any other meal, but I am religious about their breakfast. The few times I've eaten in the dining room for breakfast have resulted in poor service. That's why we're fixated on the bar booths. The server always tries to send us to the dining room but we politely decline and head for our usual booth.

I found this hidden gem by mistake. And what a great find it is. The ambience is appealing. The food is fantastic. The food is always fresh and comes at the right temperature. They have a breakfast steak and eggs special that cannot be beat when considering the quality/price ratio. The servers are very polite and professional and eager to help make your dining experience one to remember.

Fantastic eatery with great food and amazing service. Don't let the price daunt you, there's enough food for 2 meals in every dish. Very relaxing atmosphere as well, with staff who are attentive and personable. The menu has a lot of classics with something for everyone.

This place rocks. The food is very delicious and portions are big. They have a full bar all day long. The prices are very inexpensive for the offered quality of food and drinks. You can ask to cook any entree from breakfast menu even during lunch time when breakfast is officially over. All servers are working fast and trying to make you feel happy. Five star place.

My girlfriend and I came here Sunday afternoon. I had the French toast and they blew me away! 👌🏾 She had the ribeye special and the steak was done just like we ordered it (med rare) not many places get it right. The hash browns were too buttery. Overall, the customer service given by Jose was great. I WILL definitely be coming back!!!! (To try their homemade apple pie)

Great food yes that's for sure, I just don't like the service of the bar area server. He is always in a hurry when taking our food order, he goes by the table to make sure were good but he actually never asks just goes by and looks at the table. One time they brought bread to the table but they took it away because we were not ready to order. My wife always wants to tip him more than 5 dls but I tell her I'll tip him 0, but the she always ends up putting a five down for those clown. I'll keep going to visit on my own and I if this clowns is my server, I ain't tipping him nothing.

If you didn’t come in because the place looks like an old Mimi’s Cafe with new signs, you’ve made a mistake. WAY better than a knock-off Mimi’s Cafe - just forget I mentioned Mimi’s Cafe. Food is a little on the pricey side, but it’s really good and even comes out of the kitchen ready for a pro photo shoot. Much better than expected. Bar is good too. Staff is friendly. The crowds have found it, not empty (a good sign) - yes, you should come here.

Great place! Good food, great service and friendly staff. Reasonable prices for what you get. They use all top quality ingredients, so please know that this is not going to be a Coco's/Spires type food or pricing. They have chef's, not cooks. Full bar available as well. I don't hesitate to go here for breakfast, lunch or dinner at any time because I know that I will get a great meal at a good price. We especially like to treat ourselves to breakfast here on the weekends. Portions are large so you will not leave hungry. Be sure to try the pies that they have in the case when you walk in, they are really good as well. Enjoy!

Food is good with a decent portion. A bit overpriced in my opinion. A salad is close to 20 dollars and there really isn't anything special about it. The menu itself is pretty basic. We come here because the service is fast and the staff is very friendly.

Good selection of breakfast items in a comfortable setting. The staff is friendly and warmly greet you, and pay the appropriate attention afterward. Prices were reasonable. As I am partial to Eggs Benedict I was happy to see several options, and decided on the Smoked Salmon Benedict with home fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and not overcooked, and was very satisfying. My only criticism is the home fries did not have enough seasoning, though still very good. Definitely worth a try.

Decided to try out the French toast since it seemed to be a popular dish! The orange marmalade in the middle was unique and a nice touch. It became sweet and sour in a good way! The spicy Cajun sausage omelette was pretty good too! The hash brown has to be eaten hot! One of gets cold.. it’s not good. It’s a nice spot to go to! There’s indoor and outdoor seating and you can bring your dogs too! The staffs were nice but they do get busy. It took a while for us to get someone to grab our check.

It was my first visit after a long absence The food and service was just as I remembered great. The Calamari was fried perfectly the sauce just tangy enough to notice and my Shrimp Louis Salad was mixed by a master. I really enjoyed my breakfast but I feel the prices there are a little bit high for breakfast paid about $20 just for myself and all I had was an eggs Benedict and a cup of coffee. I feel that's a really steep. The staff was friendly, the place was clean so I would say give it a go but expect to drop some coin.

Lunch with coworkers today. We only saw 1 waitress, so it took a while to get our order in and to get our food. We all enjoyed our meal selections but hoped we had more time before packing it up to go. Maybe I'll return on a weekend when I have more than an hour for lunch. The waitress was nice and did her best on her own.

S

Okay, well the dining experience was fantastic. Very attentive staff and a nice atmosphere. The breakfast rocked except for the pancakes. Not a big fan of nit-picking but the rest of the food was so good that it made the pancake debacle over obvious. They are just very heavy, dense pancakes. They should be lighter, fluffy and tasty. I don't think it was a cook or preparer thing as this is not my first experience with pancakes there, but I'm reminded after this visit with why I shouldn't order them. Everything else was spot on. It's a great place to dine.

Came here for a lunch with my boss who's been a long time customer for 10+ years. Our server was very kind and attentive, the venue itself is spacious, and the food was delicious! Portions are quite large, so if you don't eat much you might even be able to share! Will definitely be back soon!

Been here a couple times. Food is good. Service is good enough. Variety for lunch could be a little better, but still not the worst. Bread though, it's ridiculously good. I usually don't think the bread makes the restaurant, but good Lord it was so delicious!!! I also loved the Mediterranean veggies.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this place, since this was our first visit, but i was pleasantly surprised! The food was pretty good and the portions were more than ample! And the prices were very reasonable for what we received! If i had a negative comment, or would only be that we ordered more food than we needed because we didn't realize how much we'd get! Even the craft beer prices were great!

We had a very healthy dinner provided while we were privileged to learn about new information regarding Alzheimers. Outstanding presentation by Dr Candace Hall...in a separate private area in the Restaurant.I only wished that the other event that was going on wasn't noisy. I want to go back and try other food items. The staff was very helpful and efficient too.

We have been going to Citrus Cafe for 4 years now. It is one of our favorite breakfast spots as we love to sit on the patio and leisurely enjoy our meal. The food is good and we particularly love the Salmon Plate which is a lox bagel with all the trimmings. The staff is friendly and attentive and the meals are reasonably priced. The other thing we love is it's close to where we live. This is an all around good place to eat whatever meal you're hungry for.

C

We love the breakfast and lunches at Citrus Cafe. This morning we thought we'd go have breakfast. We saw a table outside, which was great because we still aren't comfortable sitting inside crowded spaces. We waited at the hostess stand while the hostess was chatting with a customer. We waited a bit longer, and heard about the surgery, the medication etc. We waited some more. People were starting to come in behind us, and we still had not been acknowledged. We decided to go to the outside table on our own. The hostess came out right away, (I guess she realized we existed), she threw down the menus at the side of the table, and gave us a lecture. She assumed we wanted to sit in Stephanie's area, and informed us that she was on the other side. I don't know who Stephanie is, so I said no, we are just here to eat. The hostess did not appreciate us seating ourselves and said next time we needed to check in. I wanted to say that there wouldn't be a next time. but the food is too good to let someone like her ruin it for us. The waiter was great, we've had him before. I figured out who Stephanie was, and I haven't seen her in over a year. I understand talking with customers, but at least acknowledge the customers walking through the door of business.

My co-worker was the one that recommended the Citrus cafe to me. He raved about the food and highly recommended the tacos. Never being there, I expected a different type of restaurant. This place reminds me of a combination between Mimi's Cafe and Dennys but with much better food quality. Highly recommend their shrimp or fish tacos. They don't mess around with their food portions. Service is good and the environment is pretty chill.

S
Sunober Siddiqi

Attentive, friendly staff; pleasant ambiance with plenty of space. They even have a separate area for large private events. They have a very large menu, and the portions are huge! Everything seems reasonably priced. I got the fish tacos, which I loved. My friend got a French dip sandwich, she said it was good but not the best. Definitely planning going back to try some of their other options.

p
pablo de la Cruz

Mediocre at best. The coffee tasted old and diluted. The place looks outdated. The bathroom stall lock was broken. My girlfriend ordered their smoked salmon bagel and was extremely disappointed. It looked like someone raided their fridge and threw it on a plate. The tomato and onions were thick cut. The only redeeming quality was that the servers were friendly.

Dimitri Oprean
Dimitri Oprean

Food was ok, nothing special. Server was very nice but service was a bit slow. I got the breakfast burrito and it was pretty bland. The home potatoes were also just ok.

M

Pricing was fine, high costs for large portions. Waffle was great, bagel was good, and the Mediterranean skillet that my friend ordered was good, but the potatoes (I asked for the home fries) in the steak skillet were trash. They were quite tough, as if undercooked, but at the same time the outer region of the potato dissolved very unpleasantly in my mouth when eaten. My friend agreed, saying that it tasted off. I am not sure exactly what causes some potatoes to taste like this, but I will say that I have experienced this texture in only one other instance: from the potatoes in a particular frozen breakfast bowl. We did get a discount when we notified the waiter of our issue with the steak skillet, but that will not have an effect on the potatoes you will receive there.

The location and ambiance is good, but the food is just average, or even below. Service is good. My kobe burger didn’t taste fresh and the lettuce was wilted (with black bits). The pies are not great, peaches are canned. Coffee is good. They were out of the split (small champagne).

My first time, but won't go there any more. Large portion, but not quality. Servers took long time to take care of you, like to even get your order. Employs will bankrupt the resturant. Ordered salad, was good, pizza very bad. Lam was good. Atmosphere bad. Not busy at all, but no service.

Server was nice and friendly. The complimentary bread basket and dipping sauce are great. I ordered the French Dip which was AWFUL. Do not order the French Dip... My girlfriend ordered the Tilapia which excellent to save the day otherwise I would have been a two star review.

Great breakfast spot in orange county. Service was a little slow. But food was excellent. All prices were reasonable and inexpensive. Portions were huge so be prepared too eat a lot. Not close too any tourist attractions it's mostly supported by city residents. Highly recommend 👌.

Was there for a private event that was advertised as socially distanced. First time eating out indoors since 3/14/2020. People weren't socially distanced and masks were off for much more than the times needed to eat or drink. Did not feel safe even though I'm fully vaccinated. Been there pre-pandemic and the food was good.

I arrived well after lunch (1:30pm) so the restaurant was almost empty. I was seated at a booth which was comfortable but the table was a bit worn with wear and also sticky having not been wiped well. The server was initially attentive but once served she was noticeably absent. When she finally returned with a soda refill I requested a box. She came back with my box and the tab but never asked if I needed anything else and was never to be seen again. In fact, after 30 minutes I got tired of reading email and went up front to pay and saw her with ear buds in behind a counter and obvious to the patrons. The food...I ordered onion rings and fish tacos which were served quickly and presented well. Both were tasty and seemed fresh. The beans however, were extremely plain and lacked creativity and even flavor for that matter. The rice was the same only worse because I kept biting into hard, either uncooked grains or mutant desiccated cooked colorless ones, almost breaking my teeth. Other reviews seemed happy with this local place and I just popped in as a non-local while waiting for my dog to undergo a procedure at a local clinic. Perhaps it was my timing, or the menu item, but I have had better food and much better service at other locales in the same price range. Suffice to say I was disappointed and will not return. Though there may be better items on the menu I will miss out on, I certainly won’t miss the questionable service at a time when I was almost virtually alone and should’ve easily had premier service.

My family and I have been coming here for many years, Carol is our favorite server she's very nice and prompt. Mike the busboy is also friendly and very attentive to getting you what you need. 5 stars for the staff 5 for the food but I will have to give a 3 star review because of the business hours they are only open from 7:30am-2:30pm many customers enjoy coming here for dinner not just breakfast or lunch. The new business hours are very disappointing.

I deleted on Friday at 10:30 am. Figured this be a nice place to sit and have some breakfast while I caught up on some work. I had to wait a while to be seated because there was only one server/host. This gentleman was seating patrons, taking orders and delivering food to tables. I asked for recommendations and he suggested the Chorizo eggs Benedict($17.88 per receipt) and home style potatoes, that sounded good so I went with that. The service was great considering there was limited front of house staff. The coffee ($3.99) and water was flowing. I received my meal and was upon first sight was not impressed. The potatoes that included peppers and onions, was mostly black and charred. Some of the veg were not recognizable and the potatoes were crunchy, to be polite. The chorizo eggs Benedict just tasted like chorizo, all of it. No other discernable flavor. Even the hollandaise sauce was a missed opportunity on this dish which was fine because it looked like congealed left overs. I was starving and I didn't want to put this guy through additional headache since , again, he was mostly alone here. I did ask for replacement side due to the poor state of the potatoes. I requested the hash browns this time. Now they slid the scale the opposite way... Under cooked. The top was golden but the middle was mushy and flavorless. Overall, the best part of this experience was Greg. With having to handle all patrons necessities and host duties, you would never know because his attitude and service were amazing. I was in the area and was hungry and this place had great reviews, not really sure what went wrong here but I most likely won't be coming back or referring anyone here unless someone wants great service and below par food.

Plenty of parking, including handicap, restaurant has wide areas for wheelchairs, staff very friendly, interesting decor, very Marie calendars, as is the pricing. The bar is a good places for sport watching. Typical menu nothing special, I had the chicken it was pretty dry and bland but the cesar salad was excellent. I Would return to the bar but not the restaurant.

I can't believe this place is still in business. I hate doing bad reviews but unfortunately I don't want anybody to get their hopes up when they go here. First there's not enough employees apparently they seem like they're maybe a month or two away from closing. When the server did get there. She completely forgot our drink order. Then I reminded her about it. I feel bad for her because it seemed like she was the only waitress in the entire restaurant. Then we did get our food aside from the pancakes tasting like a rubber mat. The steak was excellent. Honestly they just dropped the ball on everything it was my first time being there and my last.

Food is good. Service is horrible. They put an AUTOMATIC 22% tip on the bill and asked for additional tip. Maybe if they let the customers tip based upon service, the servers would care enough to do their job properly. Arrived: 10:45am Seated: just after 11:00am - very acceptable Food arrived: 12:35pm - not good Left restaurant: just before 1:30pm Strange how time on receipt is incorrect. Credit card receipt shows 1:17pm

Ordered the Philly sub, the meat was not well seasoned & i received it in sandwich bread. I could make a better sandwich at home and for much less than I what I paid. The meat was also very tough to chew on. I had to ask 4 times for them to bring out the waters I ordered for my kids and I and it took them 20 minutes to refill my water, don't understand why it takes 20 minutes for water to be refilled. The service was not great either & they make sure to include a $10 tip into your check. The kids meals are nasty too! I was better off buying kids meals at McDonald's! The Mac & cheese is basically the kraft box that cost $1 at the store to make it. I thought because the Mac & cheese was $10 they would actually make it good but no, it was nasty. Chicken tenders were also not good, you're better off going to raising canes for chicken strips & don't get me started on the fries! This restaurant is not worth the price, you're better off going to McDonald's or making food at home.

I've been happily visiting this establishment for many years. We went to lunch recently and were sadly disappointed. Food less than mediocre, scary waiter who gave us a dirty look when food was sent back. He wasn't even our waiter! Old decor, depressive lighting and just an all around bad experience. Happy to say this was my last time at Citrus Cafe in Tustin.

Not sure how people pay for this and very sad service with the lady at the front when I mentioned that the ham was uncooked all she said was it's okay you won't get sick?????? Please how can you! There's better places. Manger needs to be around often.

Long story short avoid this restaurant like the plague that I'm surprised we didn't get from eating the cold food. . . Keep reading for more The expression I would give no stars if I could, comes to mind. We went for the father's day brunch pretty optimistic due to the other comments we read. I made a reservation and that was the first thing we were rudely asked for when we first walked in by what I think to be the Manager due to the fact that he looked to old to be a host. He finds my name starts walking towards a table so we start to follow, he stops about halfway to our table points at it and tells us to go sit!? We put that aside looking to eat some good buffet food. What another disappointment. Though they had a wide selection of breakfast foods, some lunch and a wide variety of fruits desserts and muffins nothing we had came close to tasting satisfactory. It looked as though they had their Buffet down you would think they would know how to keep the hot food hot. It look like they kept everyone who was eating the buffet seated in one area with only one server, it's a holiday (father's day) in my mind this is completely ridiculous you should have a full staff. She did the best she could with what she had but she was constantly running around. In there for inattentive through no fault of her own. I begrudgingly paid my overpriced bill for this lackluster meal, and on my way out deeply contemplated about telling everybody who is waiting to turn around and find somewhere else to eat.

Morbid curiosity, I stayed. 99 percent of the time I would of walked out. Analogous to a car crash on the freeway, I couldn't look away, nor leave. Why, why? Didn't I leave. Horribly bad food and extremely over priced. As tho I time slipped into a Las Vegas buffett on the Strip without the Vegas, Strip, but the quality of a rundown Denny's laid barren in the Mojave Desert. If you have 22 dollars for a parfait...be my guest.

Had a very disappointing service here after so many years of coming! Jorge the server needs to get more training very disrespectful to our table! Very demanding on what I wanted to order… please like your job or look for something you like to do! My mom was very uncomfortable after our last visit.

Tustin: Un Vistazo Histórico y Cultural Profundo
