We went there for lunch, the third time in a few years, and like the others, we found the ingredients to be excellent. The appetizers and first courses were excellent, and the meat was equally good. The spaghetti with wild asparagus had a unique flavor, the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the asparagus sauce was delicious. You could taste the homemade malloreddus (small pasta) and the seasonings were perfect. Attentive and friendly staff, and the quality and price were fair. What can I say? Recommended, and we'll definitely return again and again. Of course, the location is also enchanting.

We booked and had lunch at Su Bullicciu on May 4, 2025. We had the €43 fixed menu. There were four of us (my husband, me, and two of my granddaughters). Before lunch, we visited the Su Marmuri caves. They're absolutely beautiful and a must-see if you go to Ulassai (NU). The restaurant is very welcoming, and the staff, including the owners, are very kind and friendly. The lunch was delicious and plentiful. We had a great time...more than that ☺️. 5 stars, fully deserved ❤️ Thank you for the beautiful and unforgettable day 🤗

I tried this restaurant for lunch (also because it is only open for lunch) after my visit to the fantastic caves of Su Marmuri and I must say that I was amazed by the cuisine offered! We ordered the typical menu for two people at €40 per person (which I highly recommend if you want to try ALL the typical dishes of the Sardinian tradition) it includes an appetizer consisting of cured meats in oil and vegetables, a plate of culurgioni with tomato sauce and malloreddus with ragù, meat with soiedo with suckling pig and goat and vegetables to finish with a selection of typical Sardinian desserts, coffee and homemade bitters (Mirto, Vin Santo, Limoncello and when available Mandarin) plus a bottle of water and a quarter of wine are also included! (Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the desserts, coffee and digestives..) In addition to the quality of the first choice food, the great strength of the place is also the service, made up of young people who are super kind and ready for a joke. Truly an unexpected and beautiful surprise, if you are in the area around the town of Ulassai you must come and have lunch in this excellent restaurant! Highly recommended, I will definitely be back!

First of all, I would like to point out that the staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming; despite the language barrier, we made ourselves understood (in French). The products are local and homemade. We enjoyed this meal and particularly appreciated the homemade ravioli and the honey-based dessert. Affordable, I recommend this establishment.

Amazing tradicional sardian food. Very good roast meat and culurgiones. Excepciones bread selection. The venue is very cozy and with a charming rustic style in stone and wood. Staff is incredibly professional and nice. They allowed me to order, even if the kitchen was just about to close. Good place to stop for lunch before or after visiting the grotta. Tickets for the cave sold here, must visit.

A typical Sardinian bar and restaurant serving homemade specialties. Located on the hills of Ulassai near the Su Marmuri cave. Traditional meat-based menu. Excellent first courses. We enjoyed tagliatelle with mushrooms and gulurgiones (seven of them!) Mixed grill of beef, pork, and sausage. Minimum 2 people. Reservations are required for goat and suckling pig, with a minimum of 4 people. Generous portions, even for the side dishes. Good bread. Excellent seada with delicious honey. Delicious lemon sorbet. Good prices. Fast service. Friendly staff. There are bathrooms between the bar and the restaurant. Worth a try. Elisabetta

Great food, simple but excellent. The best we had in the area. Just be aware that the staff speaks only Italian and is not friendly if you don’t. And the cave is really worth the visit.

Surprisingly good restaurant, vegetarian antipasto is delicious

(Sab 29 pranzo) Su Bullicciu, Ulassai NU Finita l’escursione alle grotte Su Marmuri, è già ora di pranzo quindi ci fermiamo nel ristorante delle grotte. Il servizio è velocissimo sia nell’ordinare che nel portare il cibo. Prendiamo un antipasto misto salumi/formaggi (10),due culurgiones (11+11), acqua, vino (mezzo litro cannonau locale), due caffè e due sorbetti Conto 48 eur (24 a cranio), voto 4/5

Ristorante con cucina tipica sarda posto proprio all'uscita delle grotte. Abbiamo preso i classici gnocchetti alla campidanese (buoni), culirgiones patate e menta (molto buoni) tutti in porzioni abbondanti. Come secondo arrosto misto di pecora, capra e maialetto (quest'ultimo il migliore dei tre). Per finire una seadas (senza infamia e senza lode) e dei caffè. Conto finale 80€ per tre persone. Prezzo nella media.

Carne buonissima, locale caratteristico sardo, ottima tappa se visiti la grotta Su Marmuri, in estate qualche insetto di troppo per il resto è ok, consiglio.

Grotte meravigliose in un punto nascosto della Sardegna. Il biglietto d'entrata ha un costo di 12 euro e comprende una visita di circa un'ora e mezza con guida. Le grotte sono stupende,ne valgono davvero la pena..l'unica pecca è l'organizzazione dei gruppi che,a mio avviso, sono composti da troppe persone (noi eravamo circa una sessantina e solo una guida a disposizione). Ilaria è stata bravissima a guidarci e a spiegarci il tutto. Attenzione; dentro la grotta ci sono circa 10 gradi quindi copritevi bene e allo stesso tempo in alcuni punti è molto scivoloso (nonostante la presenza di scorrimano) quindi consiglio scarpe adatte a questa attività. Consiglio a tutti questa attività a parte chi ha problemi di mobilità (ci sono tante scale in salita per arrivare alla grotta e allo stesso tempo anche nel primo pezzo di grotta). Noi siamo andati con le nostre nipotine di 3 anni ma per bambini che non amano camminare direi anche di no.

Le tre stelle sono per la bellezza del locale, ma i menù erano troppo "poveri", un antipasto con sole due fettine di prosciutto crudo per due persone non si può proprio vedere. Prezzi un po' alti per menù davvero scadenti per le quantità e non per la qualità. Cercate di far le pietanze più ricche. Il personale era composto da persone gentili e altre meno gentili.

Premesso che non sono solito fare recensioni su Google, seguendo la guida SlowFood sulle osterie, ci siamo presentati per pranzo. Siamo venuti in due un mercoledì a pranzo, pieno Giugno, Ci viene fornito un menu in tutte le lingue del mondo, con dentro solo i primi della tradizione (indicati sul loro sito e sulla guida) sui secondi solo tagliata, braciola, e salsiccia (niente maialino, pecora ed altri tagli di carne indicati ovunque altro). Tovaglia si carta, antipasto servito mettendo le cose a caso, la parte pastellata fredda e non croccante. Il primo colurgiones con pomodoro annacquato e il secondo due salsicce tagliate a metà. Fate attenzione! Sembra che la cucina non sia affidabile al di fuori dei weekend o delle prenotazioni di grandi gruppi

Essendo a conoscenza che il maialetto arrosto non ce l’hanno sempre, abbiamo chiamato per sapere quando avremmo potuto mangiarlo e chi ci ha risposto ci ha detto che in quel giorno c’era (era lunedì) e che per quella stessa settimana non ci sarebbero stati problemi. Il giorno dopo richiamiamo per prenotare e per sincerarci che ci fosse il maialetto e chi risponde in maniera maleducata e scostante, senza neanche sapere quanti fossimo, dice che il maialetto non lo preparano certo per sole due persone. Risultato: lo abbiamo mangiato altrove e cari signori del Su Bullicciu non ci vedrete mai più. Adiosu

The guy who works in the bar is the rudest person I've ever seen in the Italy. If a customer orders something do not assume they dont understand you. Rude!Rude! Avoid if you are tourist as they treat you very awful.

We drove here 2 hours from Cala gonone, making a reservation was not possible because the restaurant is closed until 12:00. When we arrived at 12:30 we were told everything was fully booked. After hinting at the several empty tables the waitress told me we could only eat a sandwich there. Overall really disappointing service, I think a lot of the positive reviews come from people who visited the not-so-special caves and eat there …. Really sad.

Went here today to buy tickets for the cave. We had to wait for one hour until the tour started. This was no problem for us. We decided to order some drinks because we were going to wait anyway. Then my girlfriend wanted to pay the drinks with card when the boss started yelling at her because he was annoyed she wanted to pay with card and not cash. I don't get why he was so upset about this. Maybe he can be more friendly next time, and just accept payment by card.
