We just found out that it's been reopened again. Before it was in Fremont. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick also. I ordered the fish and it was very tasty, flavourful, a good spice level and fresh. Serving portion is more then enough for two and more people. Another good halal Chinese option in bayarea. We will be visiting again and again.

Lizhou City Restaurant has some seriously good food. As someone who has visited China many times, the menu features some delicious options that are very authentic . Their “Chinese Hamburger” (肉夹馍）is quite authentic. Of course there’s some of your typical Americanized dishes, but you will find excellent quality food.

First time visiting here, I did not know this Gem close to my home, excellent food so far, will visit again and again and again.

Excellent food- Visting from Chicago, and we have 100s of halal restaurants but nothing compares to this Authentic Chinese restaurant. Options for both spicy and non spicy. Large menu, but I would say, stick with basics for your first time. I don’t usually give reviews but this was actually very good. *Zabiha halal per HAFSA

I ordered Mongolian beef, kung pao chicken and rice on the side. Both were very delicious but spicy! So happy for it being halal food!

The chef trained in Xian to make noodles and if you like authentic chewy noodles, these are amazing. Cumin lamb, spicy fish soup, mushu chicken, mixed vegetables are delicious. Overall very good food, friendly hostess and great value.

Really good food. Halal Chinese which is a rare find. Seems like only the restaurant owner is taking the orders and also serving when I went in. The cumin lamb is really really excellent. She gave us a free soup when we left.

I was literally blown away by the flavors!! We had beef pancakes (little sweet, smooth flavors, so good!!) Beef and cabbage broth - so much goodness and earthy flavors, truly! Last but not least, Mongolian chicken was spicy, so tender, and juicy! Everything tastes really delicious. Definitely plan on coming again next week! It was so unexpectedly delicious, I forgot to take pictures :))

In conclusion, while LiZhou isn't terrible, it didn't leave me with a desire to return. Hopefully, if I am in the area, i will give it a shot again.

Maybe I got unlucky but the food I got was extremely bland. The Chongqing boneless spicy chicken was not remotely spicy. It was fried chicken and then some dried peppers and onions thrown in there. The chicken stir fried noodles were insanely bland and looked terrible. Both dishes were extremely oily.
