ESPECTACULAR, además del encanto que tiene el local que conserva su autenticidad, la chica que nos recibió en la puerta amabilísima y los camareros también, un gusto sentirte tan bien atendido. Todo lo que comimos inmejorable: los puerros, el consomé no puedes dejar de pedirlo. La carta de vinos increíble y además como es una bodega puedes comprar.

Mi número 1 en Valencia y más allá, un lugar con historia, con excelencia, con buen hacer. Felicidades a todo el equipo por seguir haciendolo cada vez mejor, manteniendo la esencia.

Riquísimo todo, probamos muchas cosas y cada cual mejor, especialmente los pimientos del piquillo rellenos. El servicio de 10, la camarera, que era inglesa, muy atenta y pendiente de todo en todo momento. La decoración y el ambiente excelentes. Muy recomendable. Volveremos pronto a probar más exquisiteces.

Un sitio con mucho encanto en el barrio del Cabañal. Todo el personal es extraordinariamente amable. El mejor solomillo que recuerdo haberme comido ultimamente. El atun y las gildas tambien muy ricas. Los postres, pequeños pero con mucho sabor. Muy recomendable.

Buen restaurante ubicado en el centro del cabañal. La comida es excelente, nos pedimos dos menús degustación distintos para probar más variedad y todos los platos estuvieron deliciosos, acompañados de un vermut casero de barril muy bueno. El ambiente en las zonas de las mesas altas es un poco más ruidoso, pero al interior es mucho más acogedor. Muy recomendable.

Gran experiencia durante el viaje a valencia, la sopa de cebolla y el solomillo lucieron bastante. La atención de parte de las meseras igual fue excelente.

Nos hemos desplazado desde el centro de Valencia a la zona de playa solamente por ir a comer a este lugar. Bodega del año 1936, casi dos siglos de historia, que se respiran en cada rincón desde que entras por sus puertas. La chica que nos ha recibido a la entrada, muy simpática y atenta en todo momento. Íbamos sin reserva y nos ha llamado por teléfono cuando les ha quedado un hueco disponible. Las camareras y el servicio en general, es excepcional y prestan una atención excelente. La comida es deliciosa, a la vez que degustas un buen vino de la tierra. Recomiendo pedir al final el Pastel Huesca, con una crema de avellanas y almendras que te deja un sabor en el paladar inmejorable. Repetiremos sin dudarlo!

Worth the hype and highly recommend a visit. All the food was delicious as well as their housemade white and red wines. The grilled sardines, jamon, soup, pepper, bread, steak were all high quality and tasty. The servers are very attentive. You'll need to reserve in advance.

We visited for lunch at 1pm, I had read that the restaurant is very popular so had booked a few weeks earlier. Esa was so friendly and helpful with her explanation of the menu and helped us to choose our wine and dishes. Standout dishes were the tomato salad (so simple but great!), the fresh bread, the chorizo in cider and the steak. We also loved the hazelnut almond dessert. Wish we could have returned!

It’s a rare thing to find a place that has become very touristy and still maintains very high quality food and service. We had excellent solomillo (steak bits) and chorizo and leeks. And the bread was outstanding. It came with their house olive oil … also wonderful. And the house red wine was delicious. Definitely a place we will go back to often.

One of the best meals I had in Valencia. I did the 1836+ menu with wine pairing and it was exquisite. I sat at the bar (highly recommend) and was so fun to watch the staff interact. Highly Recommended !!! We booked here following cosamangiamooggi, it has been our the best dinner in Valencia! We got degustation menu and I have to say Wow!! We enjoyed ALL 7 Dishes, the chef makes sure every dish exploded its taste in our mouth 😝. Not only their food, also their service were very quick, thoughtful and welcoming every customers that step in. The staffs speak Spanish, Italian and English (maybe other languages as well), she was super caring the lady behind the bar and the girl gave us good advices on wine. In our opinion, the quality of food is equal to the quality of the services in a restaurant and Cassa Montaña nailed it! Thank you all for a memorable night in Valencia. Totally come back!!!

The best restaurant in Valencia so far! I arrived without a reservation for a (very) late lunch, and they kindly squeezed me in. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, made with excellent produce, and cooked to perfection. The ladies in the dining room were friendly and genuinely caring. I felt truly welcomed. We didn’t have a reservation, but luck was on our side—we were offered a hidden private room for our group of four! It gave us such a cozy, exclusive dining experience. (A slightly stronger A/C would have made it perfect.) We chose two tasting menus and added a few extras, and every dish that came out—though small in portion—was beautifully crafted and full of flavor. The sheer variety was impressive, and every single item was excellent. The service throughout the evening was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We had a truly wonderful evening and left with full hearts and happy taste buds. Highly recommended!

This place was amazing. There is a reason why you will hear about this place when visiting Valencia. I opt for their tasting menu + which included a plate of chorizo and jamon. Every single dish is an art of Spanish gastronomy and history from 1836 tho the portions were abit small but their artisanal bread was sensational and made up for the small portions. The service is absolutely top notch with an amazing sommelier. Even though I ordered by the glasses as a solo diner, he still took me to see their cellar and enthusiastically explained to me how they ended up collecting such delicate wines. Amazing amazing amazing.

Hands down the best meal experience I've had to date in Spain. I won't dwell too much on the food and vermut as there's no praise I could give that hasn't already been said ten times over. But it's damn good. Seriously. I'm typically a contrarian, but in this case: believe the hype. Their preparation of simple but fresh ingredients is genius, and I still have the sensation of several of their dishes in the back of my tongue (which is saying something given it's been over 5 months since my visit and I have the memory of a goldfish). Their house vermut was also a wonderful, rich pairing with the dishes I had from the chef's selection menu. Also delighted to report that as of September 2024, they were permitting single diners for their tasting menu -- something I particularly appreciate as a solo diner since many places require a party of at least 2. Last but not least, I'm not usually one to mind too much about service one way or the other, but the staff at Casa Montaña was too outstanding to not give them a shout out. I felt very well taken care of throughout my meal, even as a solo diner at the bar. Every person who served me a dish off the tasting menu was well-versed in the dish, as well as gracious enough to bear my questions in badly-spoken Spanish and (mostly) English. Also worth a mention that reservations are highly recommended. I got lucky lining up on a weekday right at opening, and was one of the last people to get in on a walk-in. Thank you, Casa Montaña, for such an unforgettable dining experience. I hope to return sooner than later.

He ido de cena de aniversario con mi pareja y la verdad es que teníamos bastantes expectativas del sitio. En cuanto a lo que hemos pedido nosotros para lo que estamos acostumbrados ha sido bastante “pobre”. En nuestro caso, solemos ir a bastantes menú degustación (en este caso han sido 67 euros por persona ), y lo correcto al principio del servicio es preguntar si hay alguna intolerancia o algo que no sea de nuestro agrado , ( ya que nosotros escogimos el menú degustación con cata de vinos) cosa que no sucedió, para mi gusto hubo un plato que no me gustó en concreto que fueron los michirones pero eso ya es a gusto de cada uno. A mi pareja le gustaron mucho. Tengo que decir que para el precio que demandan, me parece demasiado pobre, los vinos estaban muy buenos y tengo que destacar el gran servicio de Angelina, que fue súper amable. Por otro lado, la chica que nos estaba sirviendo los vinos( que era otra camarera distinta ) y la comida, nos explicaba los platos a boca cerrada, no se entendía muy bien, o nos los explicaba rápido y se iba. Sinceramente me gustaría destacar el postre, que estaba muy rico pero hubiese estado mejor algo aunque sea un poco elaborado… En conclusión, si buscáis algún sitio para tapear y tomar unos vinos es una buena elección, pero en nuestro caso que fue un menú degustación y buscábamos algo más especial no lo recomiendo, el producto puede ser de buena calidad pero los platos tienen 0 elaboración, me hubiese gustado que el postre hubiese tenido algo más de imaginación al ser un menú degustación, no unos típicos dulces de pastelería selecta. Por último como recomendación me gustaría añadir que sería un detalle si en el menú hay una carne roja preguntar el punto, ya que a mí pareja le llego totalmente cocinada (difícil de masticar) y a mí bastante al punto , cabe decir que era un buen producto, una pena… Igual volveremos a tomar alguna copa de vino, aunque cena especial si eres una persona con expectativas altas no lo recomiendo…. Bodega mítica en Valencia. Decoración exquisita basada en décadas anteriores. La comida muy buena. Puedes probar varias cosas ya que ya la mayoría de raciones están en formato “platito”. La atención y el servicio también de diez.

Sinceramente, no entendí el revuelo alrededor de este sitio. La comida me pareció bastante normal, nada especial. Había muchos extranjeros y el ambiente español casi ya no se siente. Lo que sí estaba muy bueno fueron las alcachofas y el solomillo de ternera. El servicio fue correcto, sin más. Personalmente, no lo recomendaría y yo no volveré.

My two friends and I were there. I ordered the vegan set menu, while my friends ordered the 1836 tasting menu and the chef’s menu. The dishes were brought out one after another. My friends were satisfied with their meals, but mine was a joke. I got some tomatoes with just olive oil, as well as several paprika-based dishes. For the main course, I was given a few slices of pepper, a slice of tomato, two slices of eggplant, and an onion—exactly like in the picture. I don’t think they should offer a vegan menu at all. I felt like they were making fun of me. I received three paprika dishes in a row. They also brought us the wrong dessert, and the service was just okay. We waited a bit between dishes, which was fine, but then we were suddenly told we only had five minutes left to finish eating, even though we hadn’t even received everything we ordered by that point. Right before we paid, we heard the waitress ask another table how they wanted their meat cooked, while we were simply served whatever they decided without asking. I felt like they didn’t take us seriously. Overall, I’m pretty disappointed with this place. I paid €39 for a few tomatoes and peppers in Spain—ingredients I could have bought in better quality at the supermarket. Normally I don’t write reviews, but I had to write one for this.
