Hoy hemos comido en El Botijo en el solecito de su terraza. Las tapas buenísimas, las cuales nos ha recomendado la maravillosa camarera Arantxa. Lo del tomate 🍅 es de otra élite 😍😍 Volveremos seguro 👌🏼Parada inevitable y recomendada si estás por el Carmen.

Llame hace dos semanas y estaba a tope, nos quedamos con las ganas de probarlo y hoy por fin pudimos disfrutar en el barrio del Carmen de está pequeña tasca clásica, informal y acogedora con terraza ideal para tapear o tomarte unas cervezas, vinos o copas (llamar y reservar pronto porque se llena). Su carta se compone de tapas, tablas de embutidos y tostas, bastante amplia y muy buena relación calidad-precio. Muy ricas todas las que hemos pedido, el foie de pato con mermelada de arándanos, el morteruelo y las sardinas ahumadas con tomate estaban espectaculares y el crepes de Nutella increible. Desde que hemos entrado y hasta que nos hemos ido los camareros han mostrado un gran interés, rápidos, atentos y majisimos en todo momento, el trato es de 10. Ha habido un error en la cuenta y no era a nuestro favor, aún así no nos han cobrado el postre, detalles así no se ven hoy en día y es de valorar. MUCHAS GRACIAS!! 😊 Volveremos sin ninguna duda, los locales clásicos nunca defraudan 😉👌 100% RECOMENDABLE.

Una terraza acogedora, con un personal de 10 que desde el primer segundo ofrece toda su atención y buen hacer para que disfrutar de unas exquisitas tapas y unas cañas sea un verdadero placer. Local pet friendly con detalles para nuestros grandes peludos y me quedo con la frase de: Aquí bebemos todos. Excelente atención y servicios, muchísimas gracias!!!! Pasaros a probar sus tapas sin dudarlo

Quite possibly one of the best Tapas Bars in Valencia. This restaurant came from a recommendation from the ladies at La Chaise and was well worth the walk. It is a great family atmosphere and went out of our way to visit this restaurant twice. Churicitios are a must have. We will be returning.

Tried the local wine made by a family member of the owner...absolutely fantastic and very good prices. The tomatoes are amazing! We returned every day of our trip as couldn't resist. Lovely, friendly staff and nice area to sit outside.

Excellent tapas place in the heart of Valencia! We love everything, especially the foie with jam, tomato with garlic, codfish mixed with mash potato, garlic, egg, olive oil (ajoarriero), tuna with capsicum and olives, and sausages in tomato sauce 💯💯💯

The place was outstanding! From food, to service and to atmosphere! The prices are very logical and not expensive at all considering the nice quality of the food! The service was as well, very good, Nea , the waitress was very kind she offered us a variety of beers which we tried and as well good recommendations of the food that was served. If you ever go I suggest you 100% the tomatoes with garlic and olive oil. 10/10 would recommend definitely

Simple, tasty, excellent tapas, perfect for sharing! We had white tuna with peppers, warm goat cheese & tomato jam, anchovies, cider sausage. Every single thing was delicious. The atmosphere is very cool, authentic, local, unpretentious.

What a true gem! Owner was nice and told us that we ordered too much, so recommended we take less. Appreciate help! Also, I tasted biggest tomato ever!!! Recommend it ! Reservation only if you call. We went on Friday; I think otherwise it would be too busy . Great; honest place, cozy!

Ate tapas here around noon on a Sunday. The vibe was very nice, warm day & laid-back atmosphere. The server was super sweet and she made sure we were okay all throughout the meal. The tapas & tostadas were amazing and fair priced. We definitely underestimated how much the portions would fill our bellies. Would definitely recommend it!

I tried several different tapas. The service was quick and friendly though it wasn't possible to get a table outside right away being Friday evening on short notice. No matter, inside was fine, good atmosphere. Lots going on with the kitchen and bar right there. The employees have a good time and know many of the local clients, which makes it fun. Really enjoyed the "Esgarraet" cod & red peppers with olive oil and garlic for €8 and the "Morteruelo" €6. Also the "Champignon al ajillo" was quite tasty. This is a place I plan to return to. And I have returned to let you know the "Salpicon de Atun" is a very good value at 5€ -- tuna with roasted red pepper, olives, olive oil. Not heavy, good by itself or on the bread that accompanies, or with the Magna beer of course. And here's another excellent tapa, the "Calabacin con queso de cabra". Usually I find goat cheese to be very sharp, but this one is closer to the flavor of a mozzarella joined with the zuchini-like calabacin which reminds me of the flavor of yellow squash. Served warm, it goes down very easy.

Hoy hemos salido a comer entre amigas y tras dar una vuelta por el Carmen nos hemos decidido por esta tasca que tenía además de muy buena pinta muy buenas reseñas. La carta es amplia y con mucho y bueno donde elegir. Las raciones de tapas no son muy grandes por lo que nos decimos por acompañarlas de unas tostaa deliciosas y generosas. La atención no ha sido mala, quizá un poco lenta pero somos conscientes de que había mucha gente y en estas fechas es normal no dar a basto. El cremaet buenísimo. Sin duda repetiré 😊

Tapería pequeñita pero con una amplia terraza. Carta con muchas opciones sin gluten, vienen los alérgenos muy bien especificados. Tienen pan sin gluten. Destacar los tomates con ajo y aceite de oliva. Pocas opciones de postre, sin gluten ninguna. Buena relación calidad/ precio teniendo en cuenta que está en el centro de Valencia.

Solid little tapas joint. Perfect for two or four people to go to. We had a party of eight and they accommodated nicely. The menu is in Spanish and the staff is ok with English. So if you have Spanish speakers with you dinner is easier for you.

The tapas were just ok. We both landed in the toilet quite quickly after visiting this bar and having tapas there. We were surprised there was no fresh orange juice available. Glasses were dirty so we drunk straight from the bottles. Very crowded place, noisy. I think we are not fans of places like this one. Definitely will not come back.

Decepción total. Nada más llegar la atención del camarero no fue nada cordial. Parecía q le molestaba atendernos. Pedimos dos pinchos de tortilla que han sido las porciones más pequeñas que he visto en la vida. Eran dos triangulitos servidos en el mismo plato, secos y para colmo recalentados. Pedimos medio bocadillo de Lacón y cuando pedimos por favor ponerlo para llevar el camarero cogió un trozo de papel Albal y nos lo dió, en plan "toma, hazlo tú mismo". No es que no haya podido hacerlo, pero la amabilidad y el servicio destaca en momentos como este. Finalmente, al pedirle la cuenta, como estaba en la barra metido en móvil no nos escuchaba. Mi acompañante le silvó para llamar su atención y al parecer esto para él fue una grave ofensa. Nada positivo a destacar de este sitio. Valencia es una gran ciudad con gente amable y una exquisita gastronomía que este sitio no representa en lo absoluto.

Lamentablemente, mi experiencia en El Botijo fue tan sorprendente como decepcionante. Desde el primer momento, el trato recibido resultó incómodo y poco profesional. El servicio fue áspero, distante y, en más de una ocasión, los platos fueron colocados en la mesa con una brusquedad difícil de justificar en cualquier establecimiento que aspire a ofrecer atención de calidad. La comida, por su parte, tampoco ayudó a mejorar la impresión general: insípida, descuidada y muy lejos de lo que uno esperaría incluso en una tasca modesta. Lo más llamativo ocurrió al final, cuando nos entregaron un simple papel para que nosotros mismos envolviéramos lo que queríamos llevarnos. Un gesto que, sinceramente, resume la experiencia: cero cuidado, cero detalle, cero intención de atender bien. El personal en general dejó mucho que desear, pero hubo un camarero en particular —cuya actitud fue especialmente descortés— que terminó de sellar una visita que no pienso repetir. En definitiva, El Botijo fue una combinación perfecta de mala atención y mala comida. Ojalá mejoren, porque el lugar tiene potencial… pero hoy por hoy, recomendarlo sería un acto de irresponsabilidad.

Unfortunately, El Botijo left one of the worst impressions I’ve ever had at an establishment in Spain. The service was harsh and careless, with dishes being placed on the table so abruptly that it felt as if they were being tossed at us. The food did nothing to improve the experience: bland, poorly prepared, and clearly lacking any real effort. The most surprising moment came when we asked to take the leftovers with us: we were handed a simple sheet of paper and expected to wrap the food ourselves. A detail that perfectly illustrates the overall lack of care. The staff, as a whole, was far from welcoming, and one waiter in particular stood out for his especially unpleasant attitude. In short, a disappointing visit from beginning to end. I truly hope they improve, because recommending this place today would be impossible.
