Amazing place. Without doubt the best restaurant on the mountain. All dishes were delicious, wonderful service, stunning wine list.
The food is really outstanding, I think it's the best restaurant in the area. It's a little expensive, but definitely worth it! Easy access by ski or on foot / car from the village.
An institution. Worth the trip down from Cervinia, then back on the gondola afterwards for easy access back to the ski area. A wonderful location for sunny lunch in the terrace, or cozy inside when it’s snowing.
We’ve been here many times already and we have been served by a lovely british/italian lady two days ago, which has made our morning coffee and lunch extremely pleasant. The food is always on point, the service 1A - everyone is always kind and helpful and just the overall experience is always amazing! Our favourite restaurant in Valtournenche! 🤍🙏🏼
We came in for a dinner reservation and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious—one of the best meals we’ve had—and every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The service was incredible as well: attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcomed. Everything flowed perfectly, making the entire evening feel special. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend this restaurant.
5 days of snowboarding and 5 different lunch spots between Swiss Alps and Italian Alps and this was one of our favorite lunch spots! This was probably my overall favorite stop for lunch. I had the venison ragu and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dante and just so flavourful. My husband had the pasta with shaved white truffle which he said was amazing. We had the cheese plate to start and all the cheese selections were wonderful. We also ordered a bottle of this delicious growers champagne. The son of the owner was the one who curated the wine list and you could just tell he was so passionate about the wine list he came up with because when he came to talk to us about the champagne, he knew what he was talking about and it was just so enjoyable i am hoping that it is something I can order back home in the United States. We also enjoyed the olive oil and balsamic vinegar they had on the table for bread service, I ended up buying a bottle of both to bring back home! Everyone was so friendly and such a great atmosphere! Highly recommend you make this a stop if you’re on the Italy side and I do recommend you make reservations because they get quite packed and busy.
Just greatly prepared authentic food from the region without pretentiousness. Great staff, incredible fast service despite the restaurant was full and you can enjoy the Alps from any point.
This is 1000th review of this special restaurant located on the ski slopes of Valtournanche on the Italian Alps. The food is really good and the setting is fantastic. The pictures speak for themselves. Walter, the host, is looking after you and is making sure you are enjoying the food. Highly recommended and look forward to coming back!!!!
The food was delicious, the service was great, and lovely atmosphere. All dishes were top-notch. We recommend their personal cave aged cheeses and local wines.
Hands down the best meal of our trip to Zermatt! 8 of us skied here and were promptly sat at a gorgeous table outside. Our server helped us pick out a delicious bottle of wine. We shared several appetizers, a salad, 4 pastas and several desserts. Everything was incredible!!! Fantastic service, fresh, flavorful, beautifully presented food, and stunning ambiance for a reasonable price. Thank you for an incredible experience!
I'm from Australia but was born in South Korea. This place is truly the best restaurant I’ve ever experienced in every way. The tastiest food, exceptional service, very friendly staff, fast service, and incredibly reasonable prices—or should I say, surprisingly underpriced! I’ve already booked for tomorrow and the day after to try more dishes here. I’d rather miss skiing than miss dining at this restaurant. These amazing dishes even convinced me to enjoy two beautiful glasses of red wine. You won’t regret visiting this place! Please enjoy my photos, and a big thank you to all the restaurant staff! A true gem of a spot, with a stupendous 360• view of the countryside. Excellent setup for indoor and outdoor eating and enjoyment. Absolutely charming service…true to the name of the restaurant the family are mountain guides and available to give great advice regards best trails. Warm, friendly, stellar service, a fantastic menu and studied wine selection. Perfect for dessert and coffee, ‘aperitivo’, or best of all, a 5-star lunch or dinner. Highly recommend!!
Absolutely amazing! Great food and great staff, Vicki and Gino are outstanding. We have been there with my girlfriend quite a few times and they keep surprising us with the service delivered. The strudel is a must try. Keep up the good work 🥳.
One of the best dinners we had on our holiday! The restaurant is cosy, charming and has an incredible menu with different dishes to the usual aosta valley restaurants. The salmon in hazelnut crust was so good. And the steak was perfectly cooked. The staff even put a little candle on my husband’s dessert because I told them it was his birthday!
Superb sunny spot on the no 1 piste into Valtournenche. Gets busy but the staff manage it really well. The food is very high quality, the service is fast and extremely friendly. Prices are on the high side for this resort but definitely worth it for the quality and location. Wear sun screen, try booking first to avoid disappointment and be sure not to ski straight past is it is at the bottom of a small dip in the slopes and can’t be seen until you are just before it.
The food was not good but fantastic. Friendly staff, highly efficient service, beautiful restrooms and a nice atmosphere with the fireplace and "open" wine cellar. The only thing we didn't understand was the choice of music: Michael Jackson songs played one after the other during our lunch. The owner is probably a big fan😉
A gem in the valley. They open late and usually fills up, therefore make a reservation before you go. The place is around 10 minutes drive uphill from the main road, so consider going there by car. Other than that, the food was excellent as well as the service. Highly recommended!
A real gem in the mountains. Great views, excellent service by responsive staff. The beef cheeks and lamb shanks is outstanding and highly recommended. If the weather permits a table on the terrace is well worth the visit. Bring your sunglasses 🕶 If going over from Zermatt, don’t leave too late after lunch as it’s several lifts to get back

we came here several times. Very good food. Very friendly people, but we had to wait a very long time for our main dish. 45 minutes after end of first dish. But don’t hesitate. Take your time and enjoy the quality of the food.
This place looks good, but unfortunately the only vegan option was a cold salad (after you ask them to remove the cheese). Eating a freezing salad while freezing was def unpleasant. Fortunately they had vegan milk for hot chocolate which was really good. Maybe in the future you could add real vegan options with tofu, chickpeas or other vegan proteins and serve them hot.
