Il locale è molto accogliente. Il sistema di ventilazione della sala esterna è super funzionale, anche con temperature estreme. Le portate gluten free sono strepitose. La pizza la migliore che io abbia mangiato in questi anni. Antonietta al servizio, mi ha accolta, rassicurata e coccolata meravigliosamente. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

We stumbled upon this place on a Sunday during lunch time. It was full of local families so we figured it must be good. The service was quick and efficient. The food was great. Everything we ordered was tasty and hot. The quality ingredients came through. I would definitely come back here if we are in the area again. The atmosphere was no frills and family friendly.

Went here with a party of seven on holiday. One of us is gluten-intolerant but we had read this was a good place. Bit disappointed when we arrived as the terrace is a covered pavement-Italian style - but we had a view of the sea. They were very good about the guest who needed to eat gluten free. Gluten free dishes come on a different coloured plate so we knew they took this seriously. When the food arrived it was seriously good, especially for the reasonable prices. Gluten-free pasta was best she'd ever tasted,said our GF lady. My wife had a massive Parma ham starter. Everyone's salads were superb. Sea bream was excellent and carved at the table. Can't tell you about desserts because we were so full up we couldn't try them. I marked the atmosphere down a point because of the bag sellers who keep coming into the terrace pavement. I suppose they can't stop them, and I found it added to the local charm. You could always sit inside to avoid them but then you'd miss the sea.

Very good quality food, good prices, and excellent service. It was completely full outdoors and so we were offered indoor seats - it’s bit warm indoors but service was excellent. The chef even offered us complimentary ice cold limoncello. Must visit if you want excellent food at great prices and outstanding service.

Drove by this lovely town on a Friday morning. Came across La Grotta during lunch hour. The hospitality was beyond words. The staffs were very friendly and welcoming though it was overly crowded & packed with patrons. The food was really good but to be honest, not a fan of the tiramisu.

Had an excellent lunch. Seafood with linguine & a pizza with ham, artichokes, olives & mushrooms. We shared & both were delicious. The pasta dish was full of great shellfish. The house red wine was A new find for us was the very good Sparea(?) sparkling water. Service was good, with waiters who resonded quickly on a busy market Friday. Will be back on our next market visit.

If you are travelling out of Nice, France towards north or even towards Geneva. So stop at this place which is not far off the highway. So you don’t waste too much time into the city while driving to other destinations. I found Italian highway rest areas very boring and not fun to have food. While I was leaving from Nice I got on the highway and took an exit of Ventimiglia. 3 mins drive from highway you find this restaurant which has all the Italian right stuff you can have before a long drive. Excellent and quick service, pizza to die for, salads and pasta out of this world. You can’t miss this place if you are passing by. You will thank me when you will try it. Very busy restaurant and is open all day including Sunday. Enjoy

Surprisingly good! Travel from Nice to the town of Ventimiglia for the day. Stopped in here for a meal. I ordered the mixed grill with my wife ordering the lasagna. Unfortunately the lasagna was cold (I suspect waiting for my mixed grill); however it was replaced with a new meal fairly sharpish and without issue. The mixed grill was utterly perfect. Cooked to order (medium/well with no running blood) and a really nice tasty mix of meats. Superb!

Buono ma non ottimo. Pizza un po' a gusto francese ma comunque buona. Fritto molto leggero (ottimo) ma i calamari poco gustosi. Come già osservato troppi coperti, con tavoli un po' ammassati, ma il servizio è stato veloce e ottimo. Comunque un posto da provare

Gluten Free.... Ce ne sono tante di pizzerie in giro... Ma questa ha la faccia di essere decisamente sul pezzo. Entrati prestissimo, ci accorgiamo sin da subito che tuuuuutti i tavoli erano prenotati... E da lì a poco infatti il locale era completamente pieno. Pizze buonissime e bellissime... Compresa quella per celiaci. Anche la carne dall'aspetto e dalla brace sembrava avesse diritto ad una chance... Sarà per la prossima volta!!

I have had two wonderful and good pizzas here, I suggest this restaurant, that was suggested to my by local people. Despite the mood is a little bit old (a big room, focused on numbers), the quality of pizzas is really high. I have had one pizza napoletana and one bufalina. They were so good that we ate them all (usually in Italy we use to discard the edges).

Fresh ingredients, but the food as such - absolutely nothing special. Salad Caprese - just nice buratta in the center and sliced tomato around, no even oil. Grilled calamari and vegetables - the same, just ingredients. Help yourself :) The prices - a bit higher than usual. The service is quick.

Locale sul lungomare della città, sempre aperto. Spazio enorme con due sale, molto frequentato da turisti ma appunto è poco di qualità, prodotti di mare surgelati sicuramente, le Pizze sono passabili. La frittura abbastanza pesante, sicuramente olio poco buono. Menu ampio con scelte varie anche su dolci o sfizi. Carta dei vini abbastanza fornita. Il servizio al tavolo abbastanza veloce e gentile in quanto hanno parecchi camerieri. Diciamo ci vai se sono chiusi altri ristoranti migliori, nella bella stagione hanno anche i tavolini esterni.

Locale sul lungomare di Ventimiglia. Bella posizione ma parcheggio pressoché introvabile. Al cibo (buono) ho dato 3 stelle perché il menù è fatto ad uso e consumo più dei francesi che degli italiani. Al servizio 3 stelle perché dopo il primo piatto si sono un pò dimenticati di noi.

Basically a tourist trap. It was recommended to us, so we went. The food is ok and the ingredients of decent quality, but nothing special. Very little love, less enthousiasm. The insalata caprese I could have made better in my kitchen. The restaurant is situated next to the main road with no flair whatsoever, unfortuntely.

This was a restaurant with both highlights and fails. For instance, the staff were kind, but service was painfully slow. As for the food, while the mussels in white wine were ok, the fries served as the accompaniment were obviously from a bag and lacked in flavour. Similarly, the pizza was excellent. However, the bread they served us earlier was dry and old. We also had to ask twice before we could get any butter. The real trainwrecks for me were the capitano salad and the shrimp risotto with asparagus. The salad was just a pile of leaves served with an overboiled egg. The risotto was too salty- almost inedible- and had strangely imbalanced flavors. We got free lemon cello at the end of dinner, but it did not make up for our otherwise average experience.

É sempre pieno.. ci siamo detti proviamo… pessima scelta 😅il servizio molto competente, attenti ,simpatici e carini, ma il cibo davvero di pessima qualità o talmente mal preparato che non so se fosse più grave la bassa qualità o la preparazione dei piatti… pollo mollo, doppio, rosa all interno, disgustoso.. cotoletta alla milanese fatta con lo stesso pollo..quindi pessima anche quella…le pizze non le ho assaggiate ma i miei figli ( che mangiano quasi tutto) ne hanno lasciato più della metà.. i würstel sulla pizza erano praticamente crudi.. ditelo al «  pizzaiolo » che deve metterli o metà cotti oppure come ultimo ingrediente sulla pizza in modo da permetterne la cottura.. il tavolo di fianco a noi si è molto lamentato dicevano anche loro che non era assolutamente buono… noi non abbiamo detto nulla ma era comunque evidente dato che abbiamo lasciato i piatti quasi pieni di cibo. Spiace, ma è davvero mediocre il cibo.

Lousy food—plus they messed up the order. And they didn’t offer us the gelato that was supposed to be included in the kids’ meal, but the overall quality was poor enough that my kids didn’t even bother to ask for it. This would have been perfectly fine for dinner on the side of a U.S highway. But for a place on the sea in Italy, it was embarrassingly bad. [One of my kids added “Anyone have an airplane meal? Please?” In other words; he’d prefer airplane food, and I agree with his assessment.] The server took our order and was friendly. But once the food landed, we were totally ignored. We would have ordered more drinks but she never reappeared. Also, even when the (different) servers brought the wrong order, and even when we explained that someone had messed things up, no one brought the right dish until I went to the kitchen to see where Kid 2’s order had gone. They then brought a large bowl of overcooked spaghetti with bland sauce. After the meal, my kids and I went back to our room and ate snacks to fill up—-and I had to argue with my children about whether to give it one star or two stars. The restaurant was open late. And the location is good. There is little else to praise about this place.

I must say I was quite disappointed. We decided to give it a tried based on the numerous positive reviews. The place was packed (great sign for me, if it's full, people love it). The prices were average so that was nice. However, the problem came with the food, plates arrived 1 by 1, 15 minutes apart from each other and I had to ask where my meal was, i was told it was going to be ready in 10 min, and knowing the timings for a pizza in a "forno di legna", the pizza order hadn't gone through. I must say thet I honestly expected a greater organization having so many seats, so my advice would be to get a bit more organized to avoid more mixups. The food was ok but nothing memorable, it's definitely more aimed to tourists passing by to and from France.

The food and service was absolutely terrible. The salad wasn’t fresh, forgot the drinks and gave us tapwater when we ask for me mineral water. Never again

Per la prima volta devo dare una stella non mi è piaciuto. Pasta allastice era pasta al sugo con una piccola porzione di astice oltretutto senza polpa. Prezzi alti per aver preso solo 4 piatti senza bottiglia né dolce né caffè.

Pizza: impasto lievitato male e mozzarella non fresca. Fritto misto: impanatura pessima e piene di olio. Pesce surgelato. Servizio pessimo. Prezzi esagerati per la qualità del cibo e del servizio offerti.

Situato sul lungomare, ci sono parcheggi in strada a pagamento. Il locale è grande e ci sono molti camerieri, poca educazione nel servizio, sparlano dei clienti e soprattutto rispondono maleducatamente quando si chiedono più info sul menù o si sollecita l’ordine, perché aspettare un’ora anche no penso…pizze poco buone con impasto indigeribile, il vero problema è quando ti portano la frittura di pesce e te la spacciano pure per fresca! Insomma poco di qualità ma soprattutto è il servizio che pecca di educazione, eravamo con amici e ad un certo punto staccano i riscaldamenti esterni, ma dico dillo che devi chiudere non c’è bisogno di farci scappare! Inoltre al conto ho pagato di più senza neanche accorgermene perché han fatto i furbi sul menu, me ne sono accorto dopo ma tanto, chi ci torna più? Tra l’altro prezzi completamente fuori luogo! Non ho mai mangiato un cibo così cattivo in vita mia. Non immaginavo nemmeno che potesse essere così terribile: tutto era pieno di olio di semi di girasole, impossibile da mangiare. Il cibo era pessimo, proprio come il vino. C’era un odore sgradevole nella sala, tanto che perfino i vestiti hanno assorbito la puzza. I tavoli sono così vicini che le persone siedono praticamente una sopra l’altra, molto rumoroso — l’atmosfera sembra quella di una mensa, ma almeno lì il cibo sarebbe più buono. Sono venuta da Nizza apposta per mangiare cucina italiana e sono rimasta davvero delusa. Non ho mai provato piatti così terribili in vita mia.
