Ristorante sul mare con piatti abbondanti e molto buoni. Consiglio lo chef di non mettere le zucchine pastellate nella frittura fuori stagione perché risultano amare. Personale molto gentile.

Vi lascio 5 stelle solo perchè non voglio offendere tutto il lavoro che c è dietro un ristorante, sono ormai anni che veniamo nel vostro ristorante sia per la carne che per la paella(che tra l altro ha sempre i frutti di mare troppo asciutti probabilmente o aperti prima e riscaldati in forno o semplicemente cotti male perchè andrebbero rimessi sopra al riso giusto un min prima dell uscita del piatto per scaldarli e i calamari sempre gommosi vi consiglio di cambiare qualità provare magari un altro congelato come quelli che gia usate ma migliore),oggi la frittura aveva un sapore forte di olio ,e la tagliata di manzo circa 180 gr con una manciatina di rucola e 1 pomodoro diviso a metà mi è sembrata scarsa come porzione per questo prezzo! Vi scrivo questo messaggio solo per dirvi che la scelta di levare i menu e alzare i prezzi vi ha fatto perdere dei clienti, oramai avete dei prezzi assurdi per ventimiglia che non rispecchiano la qualità di ció che servite dato che a sti prezzi nella città in cui vi trovate non esiste possibilità di sbaglio sui piatti e il servizio dovrebbe essere ineccepibile. Perfavore rivalutate il foodcost dei vostri piatti

Very nice and clean with a great selection of Mediterranean Italian food. The initial appetizers were generous portions. The best calamari frita I've had, very light breading, it was perfect. They don't have a marinara sauce, but other than that it was fantastic.

This evening is 4th visit within a year. Excellent food, service, presentation. The manager (owner?) has fantastic knowledge of the food and wine, and is charming and helpful, as are the staff. This place is a MUST if you want great beef, fresh local seafood, or a really spectacular paella. A small but eclectic menu, and a very good select wine list. I‘ll be back!

We were made to feel welcome and comfortable. We had 2 glasses Franciacorta for aperitif. Pintxos, mixed starters, we actually shared this, and they were delicious. Spaghetti with yellow cherry tomato sauce and tuna tatare, unusual and very good. Grilled Turbot on fennel cream and fresh salad. Fish perfectly cooked, and the salad was well dressed , with interesting flavours and textures, including crispy crumble bits. Desserts, we had a strawberry and mint crumble tart and an indulgent chocolate and coffee tart, both very good, melt in the mouth and tasty. I may have the description wrong on the desserts, but photos included. Bottle of Pigato, local white wine, which was excellent Water and coffee A delightful anniversary lunch.

We have been staying in Ventimiglia for a wedding for the last few days. The food across Ventimiglia has been wonderful. This restaurant is by far the nicest steak and chips I’ve ever had anywhere in Europe. I would go one step further to say this is the best steak and chips I’ve ever had ever. I will return to Ventimiglia every year on the same day to have the steak and chips. Unfortunately, my friend Simeon couldn’t make it and he will regret not being able to enjoy the steak and chips for the rest of his life. Honestly thank you restaurant Margunaira for letting us in even tho you where almost closed, great service and wonderful view across the seas.

One of the best restaurants we have been to. Great location overlooking the sea in Ventimiglia old town. Tastefully decorated. Great ambience Excellent service. Waiters speak good English and are very helpful with food choices. We went for lunch. We had fish of the day wrapped banana leaf with grilled vegetablesand pasta. Qualità del cibo ottima ma con prezzi alti rispetto ad altri locali nella zona. La grigliata di pesce era un pó misera per il costo di 40€, non la consiglierei.

Tutto molto buono, il mio consiglio è di assaggiare la frittura, merita….. Peccato per la temperatura interna…un po’ freddino!!!!

The food was excellent, but I was disappointed by one staff member, who appeared to be a supervisor the night we visited. His attitude towards a foreigner attempting to speak Italian came across as offensive, as he seemed to mock the way I spoke. On the other hand, the other waiter was friendly and helpful. While the food was enjoyable, I believe the management, director, or owner should address this individual's rudeness. It put a damper on what was otherwise a pleasant evening with visiting family.

This was my first restaurant in Italy, and unfortunately my family and I were a bit disappointed. There was no wait for our table, but our only option was to sit outside due to the limited seating options. There are restrooms available inside the restaurant; they have two stalls and both are clean. Our waiter was very kind and got us situated, and he got our table ready once we placed our order. We waited for at least 40 minutes for our food, and we were about to get up and leave when my plate finally arrived. Shortly after, the rest of my family’s dishes arrived too. The food I ordered was good, but due to how windy it was outside it cooled off very quickly became cold. I also noticed that only the tables indoors were served bread rolls while none of the tables outside had any; I’m not sure if this was done intentionally or not.

Parto col dire che sono cliente da diversi anni e mi sono sempre trovato molto bene. Sempre tutto impeccabile e cibo ottimo. Era un annetto che mancavo e Purtroppo sono cambiate le cose. Prezzi alti +30% su tutto. Ma ovviamente non è questo il problema. Abbiamo mangiato molto male. Frittura pessima sapore di olio bruciato. Carne molto dura e il resto decisamente sotto livello medio. Servizio assente. Davvero un peccato, location molto bella e questa è l’unica nota positiva della serata. Prezzi da ristorante di alto livello.

Ordered a ceviche as apetizer but what was served was not a ceviche. No coriander, no garlic, no onion, no shellfish, no chili, no mango, no avokado. Just some tasteless pieces of white fish in a bland sauce. A really bad dish. Then as main beef tagliata. Again tasteless, not a good piece of meat. The truffel sauce was propably from some readymade cheap brand, very bad. Price of wine far too high. A place that have seen better days, truly dissappointing.

Frequentiamo questo ristorante da tempo e abbiamo sempre apprezzato in modo particolare la loro paella, ricca di pesce fresco – gamberi, scamponi, molluschi, totani – e accompagnata da una bottiglia di bollicine inclusa nel prezzo, che era decisamente onesto. Purtroppo, la nostra ultima visita è stata molto deludente. A parità di prezzo, la qualità e la quantità della paella sono visibilmente calate: meno pesce, meno sapore, e l’accompagnamento con il prosecco non è più previsto. Inoltre, nella carta dei vini non c’era una bottiglia sotto i 35€, rendendo impossibile trovare un’opzione accessibile. Se prima spendevamo circa 70€ per un pasto completo, ieri abbiamo pagato la stessa cifra solo per la paella, a cui si è aggiunto il vino. Siamo rimasti sinceramente delusi. Un vero peccato, perché la location sul mare è splendida e il ristorante aveva sempre avuto grandi potenzialità. Se gli standard rimarranno questi, purtroppo non torneremo più.
