So delicious, brought slight tears to my eyes. Hands down, the best pasta I have ever had in my life, in all my travels. ALL their pasta is freshly handmade each day. As well as their sauces....and everything else offered on their menu. I had the ravioli with fresh mushrooms in a delightful cream sauce. 😋 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🤗 We also ordered fettuccine with fresh seafood in a fresh tomatoe and cream sauce as well as a fresh tomatoe pasta with aubergines, fresh basil and pomodaro sauce. We then enjoyed espresso and americano coffees with fresh Tiramisu...OMG so perfect. 👌 The service was outstanding. The owners are present and fully engaged. This is a family business, run with pride, love and a lot of experience. Fabulous location, literally.across from the Marina....we enjoyed a gorgeous and romantic sunset while we experienced our meal extraordinaire. Reasonably priced - approx 75€ total. And at the end of the meal that no one could finish, as the portions were generous, one of owners explained he spent some time in America in the 90's and learned about the "doggy bag" concept, and so he proudly offered to pack up our food in doggie bags. Italian, French, English all spoken, by all the staff and the owners This family owned charming restaurant MADE our trip to Ventimiglia sublime. A lifetime of waiting to come here ....SO well worth the wait. On the outside of their restaurant are awards they have won over the years....and I have included a photo one of the owners. One of the most memorable meals during my 5 week vacation in Europe. It was so wonderful of the restaurant to provide us with menus in different languages (French, English and Italian), The servers were super kind and friendly, and the decor simple and elegant. The food though, was amazing, savory and satisfying. Generous portions meant that the dishes could easily be shared, however you will probably want your entree all for yourself. I ordered the tagliatelle with Argentinian shrimp and champignon mushrooms and thought that I wouldn’t be able to finish. Gosh was I wrong! Likewise, my son loved his carbonara dish and practically licked his plate clean. The hardest part was deciding on dessert. We ultimately picked tiramisu and will now be comparing all other tiramisus to the one from Pasta Basta. Come early because a line forms as soon as they open for dinner. Sometimes google disappoints and sometimes, it helps us to find gems that become part of family traditions and memories. Pasta and Basta will most certainly become a family favorite and must visit on our next trip to Italy.

If you’re in the village and want to have a solid affordable lunch, this is THE place! Pasta with mushrooms and foie gras and the lobster pasta are my favorites! Been here a few times over the years and always enjoyed myself!

I give 4* as I the food was good but nothing crazy and becouse service try to scam me and put extra tiramisu that I have never ordered! I had high hopes for the pasta given the strong reviews and being in Italy, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. It was decent, but nothing particularly memorable for me. Taste is subjective though, others may enjoy it more

We had lunch at this restaurant yesterday afternoon. The restaurant was full, we barely managed to sit at a table for two. We ordered pasta with seafood. The order was waiting for a very long time. Unfortunately, the pasta did not justify itself. There were sticky raw pieces of pasta with uncooked dough, seafood was extremely scarce. We came here specifically because of the many positive reviews but were really disappointed. This is the worst pasta we've ever had((((

We were a group of 8 people. They told us we can only order 4 different pastas after we already had the menus and picked our favorites. Right in front of her we had to negotiate who would forget about their favorites and get the same pasta. They are also not nice and upfront about it which makes it worse. We also ordered another second dish to come after. It was very late after we all were done and also the wrong order. She was insisting that is what we ordered. Anyways, not a chill pleasant meal. The pastas were also average.

I had high hopes for the lobster pasta — it looked stunning, definitely Instagram-worthy. Unfortunately, the taste did not match the presentation. The dish came with an empty lobster shell, which felt more like decoration than substance. The pieces of lobster mixed into the pasta lacked any real lobster flavor, which was disappointing. In fact, the overall taste reminded me more of a standard pasta Bolognese than anything seafood-related. Visually impressive, but seriously lacking in flavor.

Bad interior — fully plastic chairs, barely any interesting details, ceiling falling apart, mismatched decorations, and an awful view from the window next to our table — overall more of a hash house experience than a proper restaurant. We booked a table for 3 and were seated in front of a panoramic window facing garbage bins — completely unacceptable for any dining place. The food doesn’t meet any quality standards, nor does it resemble authentic Italian cuisine. Despite the huge portions, the taste was very disappointing — we could only finish half of what we ordered. The place was packed with tourists, likely drawn in by thousands of suspiciously positive (and possibly fake) reviews — we fell for the same trap. Never coming back.
