They have great tasting food -wings, burgers, fries and chicken sandwiches. Wide variety of cold refreshing beers. However, the wingman Wednesday special is what keeps me, my friends and family going together. Thank you for the great experiences.

This place is such a cool place to hang out for hours...they have such a variety of different beers from all over the WORLD. Their food is so delicious. Their onion rings are to die for...OMG!! The service was great but they get busy so be patient. I can't wait to come here again.

This place has the vibes of an old roadhouse located just a five minute walk from the Ventura pier. Last time I was there I had the Avenue burger which has a patty that is a mix of beef and chorizo. It is so good but I recommend you ask for it with the hot pepper aioli on the side. That stuff is tasty but a little goes a long way. Definitely spring for the truffle fries too. Salty, savory, crisp outside and fluffy inside.

I ordered the BLAT and a sampler flight of Feeling Them Colors, Figueroa Mountain Lizard's Mouth, Figueroa Mountain Davy Brown Ale (LtR). The sandwich was toasted well with a sufficient amount of bacon and avocado. The salad was a little overdressed, but you can't go wrong with the large shaved parmesan. The staff was really friendly and Victoria was a great bartender. She let me know they had pints to-go so I ordered beer to take back to my hotel. I may be back before the end of my trip because the vibe was so chill here and they had a lot of beers on tap.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around 101 taps. There are local and European taps that are hard to find elsewhere. There are 13 sours and ciders that comes in samplers.. 13! There are 2 Gose...from Morrow Bay! Service is great. Food is pretty good. I can vouch for their cheeseburger.

This is not a casual check it out beer place. (Though casual dress is the norm)This is a full blown restaurant that is also a full on beer spot. They serve all the alcohol and have a bartender just waiting to serve you. Their food is NOT nibbles at the bar it is overloaded deliciousness that you take across state lines to bring to your family and friends! Everything I've eaten has blown my mind. From the pretzel and jalapeño cheese, to the bacon Mac n Cheese with onion crisps on top, to the California cheese steak sandwhich that gives the Philly a little run for its money. You are whole heartedly welcome in advance for the suggestion because I know your tastebuds will be screaming it for you❣ Enjoy your stay and your eats.

I Have been coming to BarrelHouse 101 for several years. After trying out most of the beers & lagers I found my favorite. As for the food I favor the chicken wings or a burger, but have never had a bad meal. As for the staffing, never an issue, they are always polite and friendly. Love this place and go as often as possible.

What's not to like about about 101 draft beer selections. Plus the recommendations about what to choose are excellent and helpful. The food is really great too, but its not for calorie counters, at least not the stuff I was eating. A really fun place. Get someone else to drive.

A great place to sample dozens of beers on tap, Barrel house is a must visit! The ambiance is perfect, location central, service superior. We didn't have food, but it looked good on tables near us. We will definitely be back!

Cool pub. Some of the best onion rings I've ever had. Fries were thick and crispy too. That was also one big meaty juicy burger as well. There was over 100 beers on tap. I'm a dying bread of Stout beer drinker and they had about 5 stouts which is more than most places I've been. It's got a good down home pub type atmosphere. Service was good not great but that didn't matter. Good and drinks were awesome. I recommend the 13.5% Prairie Artisans Ales bomb! Imperial Stout. If you like local brews they pretty much cover the Central coast.

Great food, and friendly service. One of the better "bang for your buck" spots in Ventura, without sacrificing quality or portion size. The burgers are tasty and the happy hour taco deal is fantastic.

So glad we chose Barrelhouse to dine in while in Ventura. Excellent service. We got the seats with no booking. Our waiter introduced himself and brought tap water straight away. Very friendly and quick service! Impressive selection of beers and house wine available too. Happy hour till 6pm. We had mini corn dogs for starters (great choice) and then classic and spicy burgers. Our food was amazing.

Edit to include: This place has the best wings in 805. Exceptional beer menu and I've been looking for good wings since I moved to California, trying many locations and this spot has the best wings around. They were good good, not California wings good. Coupled with their huge beer menu and average prices, I'm not doubting myself with a 5 star review, edited from my initial experience of a 4 star. We went with friends coming from Chicago as our 2nd occasion and ordered the Pretzel, which was massive, but also $11. Tasted fantastic, but know prior to going you're going to pay for your experience. It's not a regular spot for me, since I'm cheap. I do thoroughly enjoy the food and service quality, however. There's no reason for me to give them anything less than 5 stars.

A fantastic craft brew house in downtown Ventura with a gigantic variety of amazing craft brews on tap. The burgers, wings and truffle fries are terrific. The fried shrimp looked crisp and delectable. They even have a burger on the menu for your dog. One of the best parts was the bar staff that was open to steering me to some more rare new brews to try and each one was as delicious as the next. There is ample parking and they are following open outdoor covid dining protocols with social distanced tables. Additionally when I went the owner was doing a charity event for the Ventura police K-9 unit. Super chill vibe and I look forward to going again soon

I eat here every time I'm in Ventura, which is once or twice monthly. Food is CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT!! I've never been disappointed. The Strawbanero sauce for the wings is wonderful. Bacon wrapped pickle spears are delicious. Any beer or cocktail you can imagine, plus super fun mystery shots (bartender discretion 😁👍) Be sure to stop in when you visit San Buenaventura!!

This was a surprise... I wasn't expecting much. Just needed a quick bite. Suddenly I saw their beer menu. Not overwhelmingly large to make you confused, but a perfectly curated blend of some of the best choices for all tastes. After the inital happy surprise, we went for the burgers... we ordered both to be medium. Mine came perfect my wife's a little more done than ideal but still good. Got some onion rings, that came so crispy... not greasy at all. Now I must return for the macs... I saw a couple being served... mouthwatering good looking...

I love this place, they have amazing food, good drinks, the service is beyond friendly, and the atmosphere can be described as "chill". O one is there to be crazy, loud, annoying, or anything else. They just want a nice, relaxing place to hang out with friends and/or family and to eat some great food and to drink. Nothing more needs to be said, except that the best wings in Ventura County (so far for me) are at this establishment :)

We were passing through town and needed to stop for food and this place was pretty close to where we stopped for gas. The food is amazing! So are the drinks. My partner got a flight of dragonsmilk beers and I got a flight of ciders. Service was fast and friendly. Absolutely love this place and would recommend it!

Came for a company party and had the BEST time! We reserved the karaoke room and everyone loved it! The room itself is intimate and nice. There’s tables of different sizes and even some couches that weren’t like old looking which everyone loved! Our group did the cheeseburger buffet with fries and a salad and it was delicious! I was the organizer of the event and communication with the manager Carolyn M was super easy! Would 1000% reserve this room again!

We drive from the inland empire to barrel house 101 when we get a Strawbanero craving. My wife and daughters love going to barrel house, eating good food and watching them smile the whole time there is well work the two and a half to 3 hour drive. Highly recommend eating here, and if you haven't already......the strawbanero wings are a must!

This is one of my favorite spots to eat in Ventura !! The food is sooo amazingly great ! I usually get the Avenue burger and garlic truffle fries , my hubby gets the Freddie burger with grilled jalapeños and an egg on top !! Food is so good !!!!! We also enjoy the beers they have a sampler ! You choose your beers and then bring them out in this cute sampler plate ! So good ! We have so many favorite beers , IPA’s , mixed drinks !! Kids love it too ! Everyone is friendly and attentive ! The place is clean and fun !

My wife and I had dinner here last night as it was withing walking distance of our hotel and reviews were good. As we approached we started to worry because it looks very average, but once inside it was quite nice. We enjoyed the pretzel appetizer and it was good. For dinner we each had a salad and they were very tasty. The service was attentive and friendly - we would definitely return if in the area.

My friends and I dropped by Barrelhouse 101 for karaoke, but it wasn't on that night. Despite the initial disappointment, we enjoyed our visit. The place wasn't too busy, and the menu offered fantastic burger, sandwich, and salad options. The craft beer selection was impressive, with the bartender offering helpful recommendations and even letting us sample drinks before ordering. Prices for craft beers were reasonable, and the service was excellent. While the atmosphere would have been livelier with more people, the outdoor covered patio and uncovered portion were nice additions. Overall, despite the off-night, I'd definitely return for the great beer selection and service, hoping for a livelier crowd next time.

Good food. Had dinner with my son before a concert in ventura. I had the chicken buffalo sliders which were okay but seemed as it needed something. My son got the Fredy burger which he loved so I had to try and yes it was delicious.

Diego was an absolute star on our visit, I am a 1st time visitor and whilst my 1st drink was not satisfactory they kindly made a exchange for the mimosa flight which was delicious! I will be back, they have Happy Hour 3-6 and lots of seating for big parties. Thanks Barrelhouse! I appreciate the understanding when expressing dissatisfaction. Much love from this now local ❤️

This is a good spot for a late night craving when I'm camping at the beach. We had a burger, fries, bacon wrapped pickle spears, and boneless chicken wings. It was all good for bar food, and they even had THC Tea, which was absolutely perfect after a long day at the beach :)

Go here for the beer not the food. Burgers were OK but the frech fries were cold. It took forever for the waiter to return. He took the fries back and returned a few minutes later not with freshly cooked french fries but ones that were refried. That move alone tells you to never eat there as any fry cook would tell you don't refry anything ever!

Great beer, but the 101 beers are organized very poorly on the menu. I asked for a saison recommendation and even the waitress had to go ask around to figure out where their one saison was on the menu (it's #101 and delicious, highly recommend). Very friendly staff! Dog-friendly covered patio. Family-friendly place. Food was decent, but not cooked as ordered. If you ask me how I want my burger prepared, and I say "medium," then I expect it to be cooked that way, not beyond well done. If your cooks aren't trained well enough to prepare a burger as ordered, then don't ask your customers how they like their burger prepared. That just sets you up for failure and disappointment. As you can see from the picture, my burger was clearly hastily thrown together too. Leaning tower of burger?

I've been here about 5 or 6 times and service is mediocre to bad, so you'll have to know that going in. That being said though, I would still come here if I had to wait myself. The food it amazing. It's food you tell everyone you know to try, it's always amazing every time. Besides their great burgers I would highly recommend garlic truffle fries or fresh chicharones as side. An update: I've had a bad experience here to the point where we had to encounter a manager. We waited probably about 10 min just to receive our water and sodas. When we received our food none of my party of four received our proper sides, and one of our members got something on their burger they requested to not have because they are allergic. While getting our food two members of our party still had not received their proper drink and were served food without even having their drink without either receiving the appetizers that we ordered upon initially meeting our waitress. Previously this place never had outstanding service but this visit was a culmination of such bad events that I feel compelled to change my review. The food was spectacular, but the service here falls too short.

The chefs and kitchen here steal the show and are the stars! Everything I have had has been great “ so if you can endure a few things, it’s totally worth it! I come here for the food “which I rate 5 Star!” But the service and atmosphere can only garner 1 ! The staff seemed more concerned with sharing their inside jokes with each other “and even a child knows that only makes people feel alienated”! Our server Sarah overheard my husband comment about the service so her response was to ask how we were doing every time she passed the table “which was every couple of minutes being by the kitchen!” I have worked with the public for a long time and I have to commend her on a perfectly executed passive aggressive F-you! Well played Sarah, well played! A lot of the customers have their kids in tow so there’s that. The upside however is that the food is really good!

So, we came for happy hour. Huge disappointment, drinks were 90% ice, beers flat. 2 out of 5. Nothing was horrifically bad but nothing was good… well the truffle fries were great but everything else fell short. The bartender and servers were great but the experience was lacking. 9 out of 10 dive bars would have put this place to shame. Moscow mules without copper cups and no mint. Good burgers, but avoid the nachos. They’re made with liquid cheese. Awful. And the beer selection went way downhill. No quality Belgians, but at least they a decent Munch brew. Bartender didn’t seem too happy that we were there. Cold atmosphere.

The restaurant is located behind the gas station. About a block away once you exit the freeway. This was my first time being here. When we arrived, the restaurant felt warm and stuffy, in which, I wanted to leave but I was assured that the food was good by others in my party that had been there in the past. So we stayed. When we arrived, there was a couple sitting at the bar. 3 tables were occupied in the entire restaurant. So basically it was pretty much empty. Now as for our waitress, which I can't remember her name, but she had mentioned that that was her first job working as a waitress - which would be ok if she was more attentive. She was only attentive while taking our order for food and drinks. The food order was entered and we received our drinks. After that, she basically disappeared on us. I tried to flag down someone else for refills but seemed like they would avoid our area. Our waitress was busy talking to several other co-workers behind the bar. I guess because we were a party of 6, in which 20% tip/gratuity is automatically added to the bill, she no longer needed to give us service because she was going to get 20%. Once the food came out, a young guy brought us the food. I had to ask him for refills in which he said he would ask our waitress because he could only bring out food items and sides like ketchup and ranch. Weird! Once we received all of our food, FINALLY the waitress arrived to see if everything was ok. I asked for a refill because apparently she didn't see that our cups were empty. Asking for refills is my BIGGEST PET PEEVE! The food was really good. Food order: I ordered the Capitan's Combo ($19) - (beer battered with fried fish and shrimp, comes with fries but I upgraded to beer battered onion rings for an extra $2.50). My wife ordered the same combo with regular fries in which they were not seasoned/salted, but plain (fries were bland). My wife also ordered bone-in chicken wings, flavored Strawbanero ($17). They were delicious. They were crispy and juicy, well cooked. The marinate was kind of like a thickened sticky teriyaki sauce. Great flavor, then if you add some ranch, the strawberry flavor comes out even more. My brother in law ordered The Avenue burger ($20) which does have 3 flames on it. He loves spicy food, but this burger was even more spicy than he thought. He didn't add extra spicy sauce, but was almost having trouble finishing his burger. Sister in law ordered Nachos ($12) with skirt steak (+$6). They came in a basket, a very good portion. One of my niece's ordered the same Strawbanero bone-in wings, and the other ordered a burger. All of our drinks were sodas, waters, and unsweetened drinks. Our bill was over $200. Overall, I might not be returning or if I do, I'll ask for someone else!

The bartender was so mean for the winter wine walk. Don't come here. They are rude! I don't understand. Don't put your business at the wine walk if you cant handle it! So irritated

Arrived a little after 5, was seating, ordered some small plates to share, pay, and as I am about to leave I see a happy hour menu on another table. Was never told about the happy hour and it would have been perfect for what I was ordering. That’s pretty low for customer service!
