Great food, fun trivia night, lots of sports on t.v. Waitress needs to slow down and listen otherwise did a good job. Had taco salad, excellent. Cajun chicken excellent. Flatbread pizza looked fabulous. Lots of adult beverage choices. Bring a jacket, doors are open
This is one of my favorite restaurants. I first ate here in 2014 on my wedding night and have been coming here ever since. I live 35+ miles away and we make it a point to eat here as often as possible. Their fish & chips (per my husband) and chicken tenders are absolutely amazing. I tried the tri-tip sandwich tonight and it was delicious. Excellent beer selection. Great service and atmosphere. I have only good things to say about this restaurant. I will definitely go out of my way to try the SD and AZ locations next time I'm in the area(s).
Great place to eat and socialize. The Happy Hour menu has some great food options!
Another great lunch at Social Tap after a morning at the beach. Fish and chips is the best around, and all the food is always generous, tasty and reasonably priced👍
First time here, came from referrals from other people and by far met and surpassed my expectations. Awesome basic bloody Mary! Had to ask the name of the manager (James) because he stood out from all the rest. He PERSONALLY came to my table at least 3-4 times as well as all the other tables. He didn't just come over to see if we were "satisfied" like all the other "managers" he actually managed as well as offered and brought my son crackers, delivered to our table as well as having good relations with both customers and waitresses. He did everything genuinely, with a REAL smile on his face and took pride in his job and it showed. I will be back. And it's on the beach?? C'mon!
Nice sports bar! Went during the happy hour and got some wine and cocktails.
Nice place to enjoy beer and food. Good service
We ordered fish and Chips that we're soft on the Inside and crispy on the outside which we really enjoyed, aswell as 3$ Tea with honey that was really tasty and flavorful. Addtionally We ordered three different soups that all were really nice and warm. And we got all this for about 48$ which was absolutely Worth the memorable food, cheerful music aswell as the kind and patient staff that served us. I would really recommend this place If your looking for a good time with awesome food.
Good atmosphere, especially if you were a Dodgers fan.
Great Happy Hour. Nice place to watch big games.
Came here late night with my hubby and the location was wonderful. Our waitress was super nice and attentive as well. This spot has the BEST WINGS!!! The first bite was everything. Grilled flavored perfect crispy skin and super juicy. I was blown away by the flavor. We also ordered the artichoke hearts yummy! Definitely coming back to this place.
This place is so family friendly. As soon as we told them we had a toddler, they readily brought a booster seat, some coloring materials and activity sheets for our daughter. The food was excellent! I had grilled fish tacos and it was so tasty! I was worried at first cause I'm currently pregnant and my sense of smell is quite sensitive to fishy smells but they prepared the fish really well that I didn't have that problem at all. The location was perfect cause it was so close to the state beach so after building an appetite surfing, this place absolutely hit the spot!
Great choices for appetizers with strong cocktails. Bartenders are friendly and provide good service. It’s a really pleasant location!
Want busy on a Saturday afternoon but the service and food quality left a lot to be desired from previous visits. It server was pleasant but missed our app order, tri-tip sandwich was light on meat, multiple follow ups to get what we ordered. Hope they just had an off day, because we really like visiting and the food is usually great.
I’ve been coming here for years and this place is fantastic! One of the great things about the pandemic is they still have a parking lot that you can park in. There’s great outdoor seating too. Now that we have that out-of-the-way let’s talk food. My favorite thing to get here is a seafood burrito. It’s actually in my opinion one of the best items on the menu. Make sure to get some salsa and hot sauce with it and you can’t go wrong. I’ve also had the truffle fries in there exclamation! You’re gonna want to get these with your friends. Now make sure you try the western burger. The bacon on there is fantastic. I’ve had the fish and chips too. It’s not my favorite but you can try it
The buffalo cauliflower was excellent. I had the seafood burrito, and I can say with confidence, it was one of the best burritos I've ever enjoyed. The menu will have something for almost everyone.
Great environment. Music just low enough to allow conversation, but also enjoy the music. The tacos were delicious and the fush (halibut) and chips were fantastic! Service was wonderful (thank you so much Tina!) with an added bonus of live Claddagh dancers for St. Patrick's Day. Parking can be rough as there's not very many spots, but there is parking nearby. Great first time experience and we are definitely coming back... soon!
Today I was out in Ventura meeting a client to go over an offer on their house. Afterward I wanted to find a place that wasn’t a chain restaurant. Something local with a beach vibe and WiFi. They suggested Social Tap and I’m so happy they did! Today I tried the filet mignon tacos with truffle oil and corn tortillas and a side of poppy seed slaw. Delicious! Good atmosphere and excellent service paired well with the delectable food. Yes, I’ll be back!
Very friendly staff. Food is always delicious! Breakfast & brunch are a fun time! Their burgers are delicious! Definitely a fun & relaxed atmosphere, that's great for watching sports with friends, or taking your family out for a meal.
Perfect brunch spot to watch football on a Sunday. Tacos were good, mimosas were great!!
Great service, good food, NFL Ticket, they show all games. Clean and well maintained. Signs everywhere say no dogs. There was a barking dog at the bar that it took a while to get rid of
Ah, Social Tap in Ventura, California—a coastal haven where the ocean breeze marries the warm scent of culinary delights, and the libations flow as freely as the conversations. Stepping into this establishment feels like entering an enchanted oasis where the worries of the outside world are washed away by the Pacific tide. Let's dive right into the menu, shall we? It's not just a list of dishes; it's a curated collection of experiences, each item seemingly designed to spark joy and ignite the palate. Whether you're a seafood aficionado or a burger enthusiast, Social Tap offers a feast for all senses. The atmosphere is nothing short of electric. Yet, it maintains an intimate charm, making it the perfect setting for any occasion, be it a laid-back lunch with friends or a romantic evening under the Ventura sky. The décor perfectly captures the coastal vibe—chic yet casual, inviting yet exclusive. Oh, the drinks! If cocktails had personalities, Social Tap’s would be the life of the party—vibrant, playful, and unforgettably delicious. Each sip feels like a mini-vacation, transporting you to a tropical paradise or a buzzing metropolis, depending on your drink of choice. And for those who prefer the classics, the beer selection is a commendable tribute to both local and international craftsmanship. Now, for the pièce de résistance: the service. In an era where the art of hospitality often takes a backseat, Social Tap puts it front and center. The staff doesn't just serve you; they make you feel seen, heard, and most importantly, valued. It’s the kind of award-winning service that turns first-time visitors into lifelong patrons. In summary, Social Tap is not just a dining venue; it's a sanctuary for the soul, a gathering place for friends old and new, and a testament to the art of social dining. If you find yourself in Ventura, consider it your civic duty to pay this place a visit. Trust me, it's not just a meal; it's an affair to remember. You won’t just leave satisfied—you'll leave as part of a community, eagerly awaiting your next chance to tap back into the social fabric that makes this place so incredibly special.
Social tap is a mainstay during our annual Ventura trip. They have a broad menu that accommodates many different food preferences and dietary restrictions. There is a great mix of indoor seating and patio seating. The place is huge so they can always accommodate a crowd. Food is great- love the tacos and sweet potato waffle fries!! Staff is friendly and efficient and food always comes quickly! Highly recommend if you are in the pierpont/Ventura área! Casual neighborhood vibes can’t be best and did i mention it is only a few steps from the beach!!!!
This is my favorite neighborhood pub or bar. I'm not a big bar person but I feel comfortable there. The patrons there are mellow and friendly and it's never too noisy there.
We had a great experience at Social Tap in Ventura Harbor. It is a restaurant and bar, but it is also very family friendly and dog friendly. They have a patio where you can bring your dog, which was a really nice surprise. Considering it is literally about a block from the water, the pricing was very reasonable. There was no sense of paying extra just because of the location, which we appreciated. I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito. When it was first cut open, it looked heavy on the potatoes. That was my initial impression, and I was completely wrong. It was actually very well balanced with potatoes, beans, and cheese. The chorizo and eggs were scrambled together perfectly, and every bite had a good mix of everything. The homemade salsa was flavorful, the chips were fresh and crisp, and overall everything was solid. Great food, fair prices, and a relaxed harbor atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit. The wait staff were friendly, polite and courteous!
Great beach bar with outdoor seating at Ventura beach. Full menu with local brews and and great service. Tri tip sandwich and tacos to order fit the bill and great pricing for next to an ocean. Thank you Alysa for the great service!
I always love this place. I've never gotten a meal or cocktail here that I didn't love. Their Pina colada are delicious! I really love the churro waffle dessert as well. You can't beat the location, right by the water, with great views from the patio area. The only draw back is parking. We usually have to park in the neighborhood a few blocks away and walk in.
Awesome pit stop in the middle of shopping. Tell you the truth, you can just come here without shopping. 😂 It's nice that you can bring the pre-made food from the store in here, and pay for that as well as the cheapest beer in town. The bartenders are always very friendly, and the people are as well. Definitely worth a visit whether you're in Smith's or coming from across town.
Social Tap Ventura is a fantastic place to enjoy brunch with delicious food, great service, and a lively atmosphere. The menu offers plenty of tasty options, from hearty breakfast dishes to creative brunch plates, all prepared with fresh ingredients and full of flavor. The service is excellent—staff members are friendly, attentive, and quick to take care of everything you need. They create a welcoming vibe that makes the experience even better. The atmosphere is fun, energetic, and perfect for spending time with friends or family. Whether you’re enjoying food inside or out on the patio, it has a great social and relaxed feel.
We recently visited Social Tap Ventura and were absolutely thrilled! We tried the Southwestern Burger, Chicken Caesar Salad, and Pan Seared Salmon, and every dish was simply divine. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, the salad was fresh and crisp, and the salmon was tender and excellently prepared. The outstanding selection of beers was a perfect complement to our meal. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We definitely recommend this restaurant and will be returning for sure!
I've eaten hear a few times but this is my first time reviewing it. I haven't had a bad Neal here, nor did I on my last visit. I shared a breakfast burrito with barbacoa and chorizo. I was really good, but also sits pretty heavy in your stomach. If you normally polish of a breakfast burrito on your own, then you'll be just fine. For me, I'd rather split one. My wife also had a breakfast burrito which she really enjoyed. It came with potatoes although she ordered without. No big deal. Mistakes happen. She still enjoyed it (and no, she did not send it back). The dinning area is clean and roomy. There is indoor and outdoor (covered) seating. They have their own parking lot which is nice. The staff was great. Very attentive and very friendly. The food came out fast! Stop by. You won't be disappointed.
I had the fish and chips platter and it was delicious. The chicken wings were great they were slightly drizzled in BBQ sauce. If you like BBQ sauce my recommendation would be to ask for extra BBQ sauce. Parking was a little difficult. Staff was prompt with service. They have an outdoor seating area not facing the ocean nerveless a great place to have lunch or dinner.
My boyfriend and I love going to social tap in Ventura whenever we're there. The wine Wednesdays are great because all of the bottles are half off. All of the staff is very attentive and the food is very tasty. Also it doesn't take them very long to get things to your table even if they don't have a lot of people serving. Finally the place is really close to the beach and an inn we are considering staying at. The little outdoor seating area is nice too.
We had tacos, chicken wings and a hamburger. Service was impeccable. Ambiance was great. Food was average. Over price on the hamburger. If your going to make/sell a hamburger for $15 + it better be very good and it was average. The fries were good. I would go back for the outside seating. But not the food.
Lovely restaurant, serving great food in a relaxed environment. Highly recommended for those with kids and veggies. We walked down from the local comfort suites, took about 10 mins.

Had lunch on the patio. Ingrid server was awesome. Guac was good but way too much. Chips & salsa nothing special. Tri Tip Melt as good as last time. Veggie taco excellent. Fried fish taco…
Clean, friendly service, even though I probably looked homeless. Hadn't planned on staying but they had plenty of outdoor eating space so we had a couple tasty drinks while we waited for our take out. Fish tacos were excellent but even though the fish in the fish and chips was generous, I didn't care for the batter. And the fries were basic. But great service and a very fun ambiance. We'll try it again for sure.
Fresh food, but could use a bit of spices. Salad dressing was pretty bland, but the salad was fresh. The onion rings are super crispy. I like that you can get your burger medium rare!
Nothing really special here to make it stand out from other bars and grills. But it is friendly, inviting, and well priced. That makes it a great place to hang.
Great dinner here on vacation! Nice selection of beers on tap with many local options. We shared the bbq chicken salad and the Southwestern burger. Both entrees were delicious! Also shared an appetizer of loaded potatoes which we all really enjoyed. Our server was attentive. The churro waffle is worth it! Save room for it! Definitely recommend!
Decent food. Fries could be cooked better. Tasted like frozen fries from a grocery store. Waitress was nice, but she was overworked because several large tables came in. Chicken sandwich had a razor thin patty. Fish and Chips had a large amount of fried fish. The batter was like what's on kids' chicken strips but the fish they used was tasty. They have a great beer menu with a rotating tap. Parking is also good, easy to find a spot in their lot.
Great open air layout, pretty decent beer selection, good size food portions, just got to get those TVs configured to play a game we want to see.
Great spot close to the beach. Yummy tacos and friendly wait staff.
Good vibe .. good drinks. But the food was just ok. This is the beef and Cheddar burger which looks a bit better than it tastes. First few bites tasted mostly of the thousand island sauce which they call their “special sauce” . The fries were great. The taco Tuesday carnitas and chicken tacos were bigger than expected and their flavor was good, but unfortunately the yellow corn tortillas fell apart instantly with the weight of all the meat inside. I have to say they once had basically my favorite chicken dish of all time here.. but this was literally years ago and I didn’t see it on the menu now in January 2022
Love this place! Food is always great, service is hit-and-miss. I would have posted pictures but it was too dark to even take them!
One's mood definitely sets the tone for an evening that follows. We had wanted to enjoy the evening by the beach and we got to do the same at the Social Tap. It was busy and lively. The staff was sweet and prompt enough. While we waited for our server to come another server, who couldn't serve alcohol, asked if we wanted to have water or soda while we waited...that is definitely not very common in restaurants. I had one mezcal Margarita and one classic Margarita...both were decent. We shared a plate of chicken Nachos..which was loaded and very satisfying . For the main course we shared an Ahi Tuna Burger with garlic truffle fries and was it gooood. The Tuna was super fresh, sweet and the burger was put together well with balanced flavors....enjoyed it! Thanks for a great experience.
Good Ahi, Great Blue Cheese Burger (have to talk the waitress to swap Cheddar for Blue Cheese and drop the special sauce). About 20 beers on tap (mix of popular and good locals). Been here about 5 times and they are constantly good. My tablet says their WiFi has security issues (one of those steal your info connections). Maybe management can screw the big-data feudal lords and put in basic WiFi).
Great little bar in the Ventura area. The restaurant usually has its windows wide open to let the fresh ocean air and breeze flow through. Service is great. Football games post regular season will jam pack this place with sports fans. Be prepared to wait a little longer for your order. The food is oretty consistent and I've never had an issue with it. We will sometimes have groups of 10 or more people that stagger in throughout the day. The staff is always happy to push tables together and accomodate us. Somehow they always manage to keep our tabs straight (as much as they can for a big group that moves around). TVs addorn every wall ensuring that you don't miss anything -- much like the north Koreans put images of their dear leader in all walls, nooks, and crannies-- paying homage to the major sporting events of the day. If someone happens to stand up and stretch their legs in your field of vision, you just need to shift your focus just slightly to another corner and you missed nothing. My only major complaint is the parking. Their lot is always packed, and even within walking distance the options are limited. Street parking has a 2 hour limit. Carpooling here is practically required.
Just stopped in for a beer to check it out. Didn’t order food, so didn’t rate. Fun neighborhood sports bar. Service could have been a little better, but not bad.
Would Recommend! Tons of seating inside and on their very large patio. It's open and airy, 100 steps from the beach. Sports bar feel with really good food. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked so tasty I wanted to try it all. Portion sizes are good for a value to portion ratio. 2 full bars. Large outdoor seating (no TV's) Fast (and attractive) service. Lots of parking. 🍔My Southwest (med-rare) burger was a little too rare for me, I suggest you order medium. Great onion rings! Big, hot and perfectly crispy. The 2 small pretzel appetizers was for price. hey should give three or four and include the token nacho cheese sauce offering. Lots of flies the day we visited. Maybe invest in Ecolab fly and pest control devices to keep the customers from flailing at their food. Overall it was tasty!

Very depressing music. Wait time for food was kind of long. But when it comes out it's DELICIOUS! Generous portions (artichoke hearts and nachos from my personal experience) they don't know what medium rare tritip or burgers are but the flavor was still on point. Drinks are reasonably priced and generous with the liquor in the mixed drinks. I'm just in town visiting and this was close the hotel I'm staying at but if I were local I'd probably return for the fish tacos.
Good food, great service, nice ambiance. The only annoyance is the owner charges a 4% fee for using credit /debit card so when you get charge receipt, you think there’s a mistake on the receipt because it doesn’t t match the bill. Owner , please increase the prices by 4% to avoid this annoying conversation with staff and have them explain about this hidden fee. Just raise the price and offer a cash discount, which will make customers happy, instead of a hidden fee that causes problems.
I went there specifically for a burger since all the reviews were so good. It was OK, not bad, not great. You can’t beat the atmosphere though. Fairly quiet when I went there and open air by the beach. The shrimp appetizer was about the same as the burger. Not bad, not great. Excellent service though.
Might have just been our one visit but the house margarita was very watered down. Actually not convinced there was much in it. Our waitress was very slow but it was a busy night. We ordered nachos and it took 40 mins, when it arrived the chips were completely soaked through. Wanted crunchy chips but instead ate sopping wet tortilla chips with a fork. Not flavorful at all somehow. Just seemed like our food was sitting out for 20 mins before being brought to us - that’s the only way it could have been nearly room temp and soggy.
If you were looking for a classic bar to watch a game or other sports on TV and get a decent bar food meal then this is the place for you. We got the wings as an appetizer along with the brussels sprouts. Wings were pretty decent and they have a number of sauces to choose from, but the brussels sprouts were overly done and seemed like they had been sitting for a while before they were served. Again, nothing spectacular on the food front but a good place to meet friends.
Unimpressed by the taste of the food. The service was slow. And the environment ok. Overall average. Not sure if there are better choices around, but I wouldn’t go again if I didn’t have to

The food is good, serving is also really good, service is meh (our server never checked back after handing us the food), however this drink, Boozy Shamrock Shake is not. When you take a sip, cream hits your mouth followed by the very strong taste of alcohol. It was so disgusting, I was wondering who approved this as a “special.” I asked if it’s possible to change it (I really tried to like it but can’t) & was given a ‘Blueberry Spritz’ that tasted like the free cocktail you get at casinos—there was barely any alcohol in it & was just meh. But I am so over this place already, I didn’t even complain and just drank it. When the bill came, I questioned why was I charged for the gross Shamrock. Our server, seemed agitated and told me, “it was mostly consumed.” Mind you, this thing is blended, half of it was whipped cream. No apologies, no asking what is it that I didn’t like or if she can get me something else…nothing. She just said, “I’ll speak to my manager.” And left us sitting there for a while. When she showed up (finally) she had this mad look on her face and thanked us with an attitude that my partner felt that they were unhappy to comp a $7 disgusting drink. I should’ve known it would be bad experience when I asked her what’s in the Shamrock (I meant what alcohol) and she said, “it’s like Piña Colada—it’s not. Terrible server. So if you are every in this establishment, don’t order drinks here.
Never again would we ever come back to this unsatisfactory restaurant. Over 20 mins to places our drink and food orders. Over an hour wait for some tasteless overcooked food. No communication with the guest letting us know there was a backup in the kitchen. Unsatisfactory service disappointing do not recommend your friends and family. Also they try to add 20% gratuity for their horrible service not gonna happen.
Sat at the bar and 3 waitresses were standing to the left talking, 2 bar tenders and no one asked what we wanted. We had to ask, then they didn’t even offer menus! We then went to a corner where no one was at & asked to turn up volume a bit for FB game- they said they “couldn’t”. Right!🤪 Last year excellent service. This year; mediocre at best. (Cooks did well) Last year we spent 500.00 a month there during NFL….no more. Finding another place that acts like they want our business.
Atmosphere nice for a oceanside restaurant. Good selection of berr. FOOD WAS TERRIBLE! Had Tuna tacos, tortilla was as cold as if taken right out of the fridge, salsa was watery, tuna was chuncky and sparse and only a very few chips. Would not irder again. $48
I feel like the odd ball out reading all the other reviews. Maybe we were there at the wrong time?? I was disappointed because the service was great and it had a nice atmosphere. The fried artichokes lacked flavor other than the dipping sauce, which I didn't like. The brussels sprouts were undercooked. My burger didn't have a great flavor, which I don't understand because of all the toppings. On the flip side, the truffel fries had way too much flavor.
Nothing cool/classy/redeeming about this spot. I have tried… 4 times… to like this bar/restaurant… since it’s in my neighborhood. But the food is really weak, tables are sticky, and they might play the most horrible music known to man: Pop Christian country music, over and over and over. 🫨🤯😫 Enough to make anyone want to leave. No wonder it was empty at 7:00pm 🙃
The food was great, amazing even; the service however was by far horrendous. They took our order and didn't bring us our drinks until 3/4 of our meal was eaten. Even then the only reason they brought the drink is because we had to call it to their attention and it was the only time they had checked on us. They did not refill our drinks, nor did they bring or offer conditions. It's a shame the service is so bad, otherwise I would have loved to come back.
Our server decided she wanted to help the group of guys that came in 10 minutes after us first. We ended up tipping the bus boy who took our order and served us our drinks. This would be acceptable had they been swamped. Our food came out looking like they just didn't care that someone was about to eat it. The corner table we sat in smelled like someone got sick there the night before...
My wife ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and the chicken was dry hard all bread hardly any chicken. I ordered the Southwestern Burger and it was also very dry. What I found most frustrating is that they charged a $4 plus fee for using my credit card automatically to my bill. We eat out often and I have never seen this type of up charge anywhere else. Let’s be honest, this establishment is greedy! They pay their employees minimum wage since they make their $ on tips and look to increase their profit margin with hidden fees!
Truly the worst dining experience I have had in a very long time. I hate writing negative reviews, so I typically abstain from doing them, but today I’m making an exception! For context: it was around 5pm, it was not busy *at all* - plenty of seating inside and outside, and plenty of waitstaff in the establishment. Ambiance: bad. Server: the most unfriendly human being I have ever met. They messed up literally EVERY SINGLE THING we ordered. We ordered the truffle fries with garlic - they had neither truffle nor garlic, and were lukewarm. Whatever, we’re not going to complain! Maybe the rest of the meal will make up for it. I ordered the fried fish tacos - the waitress asked if I wanted flour or corn tortillas. I said corn, and asked for extra sauce on the side. The fish tacos came out on cold flour tortillas, the fried fish was barely warm, and there was little to no sauce. The tacos were bland and tasteless - I couldn’t even finish them. My date had ordered a burger and when asked how she wanted it cooked she had said “medium rare”. Do you know that this burger came out grey and fully *burnt* on the outside?? It was so bad she couldn’t eat it, and we had been waiting so long at that point (40 minutes from the time we ordered and, again, it was not busy that day!) that she was beyond hunger and didn’t bother ordering a replacement. Our friend had ordered a chicken burger - hers was just ok, but she had asked for more sauce (and I had asked for some extra as well), and our waitress never came back with either. We did politely bring to her attention that the burger was overcooked, and it was removed from our bill, so hey, at least they did the bare minimum there. Listen, if the restaurant had been packed, I would be a lot more understanding. Or even if our waitress had just shown us a *crumb* of hospitality! The last straw was that the waitress brought us our bills separated into my date and I on one, and my friend on her own. That would have been fine! …..if we had asked for that??? The waitress never asked us how we wanted to pay or whether we wanted separate tabs - I have never in my *life* had a waitstaff just assume who was paying with who. It was bizarre, and combined with all the terrible service and food, we just felt weirdly targeted. But who knows! Maybe they treat all their customers this badly and make assumptions about their financial situations. All I know is, I wish we had gone to the Thai place down the street. That place is actually fantastic.
I always come to the Social Tap to watch football. Great TV coverage. Love the place but yesteday the food was over cooked. I ordered chicken wings twice. The cook torched these dried up chicken wings. I was surprised they had the audacity to serve them. They were barely edible. The sevice is usually great but maybe yesteday they were overwhelmed. The place was a disorganized mess and God forbid somebody cleans the furniture. I went to move a chair and all this sticky whatever was underneathe the back rest. Someone should clean some of these tables before you start spreading some disease. Believe me I am a easy patron who tips well and I still did, but I need a break from the plave for the first time in years. Believe me, I love the local crowd and have met numerous friends here over the years. I have also brought an army of people into this place over the coarse of this year. I even write posts about the NFL and mention the Social Tap almost everytime. But I need to bring some of those folks to another place for the rest of the season. I also had a table back in tbe corner for the first game and used the menu to scrape the some gross something off the table top. They give about a four second swipe when they clean these tables and its just spreading food scum. They could also take that fish burrito and actually put some fish in it, instead of making it a rice burrito. Believe me the patrons would pay a few bucks more. Same thing with the egg burrito. Its mostly a potatoe burrito. We all laugh and nobody reorders it. You cannot go wrong with the hamburgers. Lately the tortilla soup is good. You will know when its not. Maybe the cook gets overwhelmed too. He just tends to overcook some meals. My friend had this battered chicken burger.. My goodness was it torched. I was amazed she never sent it back. I think she had about 1/3 of the sandwich. You could see when it was served something looked off.
Neighborhood spot a few steps from the beach. Definitely wanted to like the place, as the atmosphere was ideal for a Saturday early afternoon. Server seemed overwhelmed and short on time when taking our order. Drinks take some time to arrive. Ordered truffle garlic fries and they came out lukewarm. Ordered a couple tacos and a buffalo chicken sandwich and asked for a couple dips that didn't come out after 3 reminders. Was scolded by server that she was overwhelmed and didn't understand why we couldn't eat our food without dips. Politely asked to speak to manager and manager came over not interested in rectifying the situation and also appeared overwhelmed with the half full restaurant. Our server sent a different server to drop off our check and close us out. Sad experience from a place we really wanted to enjoy.
We had the pub pretzels cheese had zero flavor was pretty disappointing order the trifecta wings asked extra crispy came out chewy still my wife got super sick off the Gordita burrito witch also had zero flavor and to top it off I order the tri tip steak and ask for medium well came out rare felt as the server wasn’t properly paying attention to the order also the cook was paying attention apparently. Felt robed came all the way from Redlands on a date with my wife so it was really heart wrenching I had to fork that payment out
