Da sempre uno dei miei ristoranti preferiti. Nulla da eccepire: sempre cordiali, soprattutto super attenti agli allergeni (che nel mio caso!), e alla cura dei dettagli. Molto felice di aver assaggiato diversi vini a disposizione del ristorante. Consigliatissimo!

I didn't know you could do that with artichokes! Firm, smooth tender, a texture almost like scallops. Skillful cooking, comes with a friendly presentation, attention to colour and detail, and warm self-made bread.

A lovely, intimate restaurant in the center of Vercelli. Seats are limited; reservations are always recommended. The space is a bit cramped, so it's perhaps less suitable for large groups. We ate and drank very well for lunch in November. Traditional dishes with a much-appreciated touch of gourmet innovation. Plin (a type of pasta), vitello tonnato (veal with tuna sauce), Russian salad, Fassona beef, risotto, and panissa (veal with ham and vegetables). Perfect dishes for a gloomy autumn Sunday. Bread and breadsticks are homemade and served warm. The wine list is also excellent. Attentive, extremely friendly, and courteous service. The family-run business is appreciated. Prices are well-matched for the offerings. We'll be back to feel at home and eat and drink well.

Lunch for two on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The restaurant is spread over two narrow levels (ground and first), with a connecting spiral staircase. This really puts the staff under pressure, especially since the kitchen is on the second floor. The manager is an AIS sommelier, extremely knowledgeable about both the dishes and the excellent, well-thought-out and well-explained wine list. The food was excellent, with a few flaws. We ordered: a mix of three appetizers (the Russian salad, excellent, was a bit cold; the Fassona steak was unfortunately tasteless), plin pasta and mushroom risotto (excellent), Fassona beef wings (a trucker's size, which I wasn't expecting, and excellent), tiramisu (very good, but the ladyfinger lacked coffee, making it too thick). It was also excellent to have several half bottles. Excellent experience, highly competent and courteous staff, completely reasonable bill (in the city center), my warmest compliments.

A wonderful little restaurant in the town of Vercelli. On a quiet Tuesday lunch we were welcomed by the hostess herself, and the chef proudly brought each dish to the table. Friendly, professional service throughout. The food was truly local, and the wine list ranged from Marche to Piedmont. From the selection we chose a Roero Arneis, which paired beautifully with our meal. We enjoyed a tuna tartare, a beef tartare made from local Fassona beef, and shared a porcini risotto. For dessert, the classic tiramisu and an Amaro with a refreshing hint of mint. Every bite was absolutely delicious – the kind of flavors that make you hum with pleasure. Guests came and went, yet everything in the restaurant flowed so naturally. We spent a delightful time here and left with a smile on our faces. Truly tasty – very, very tasty!

Excellent meal, including the best, hand-cut steak tartare I've ever eaten and an amazing dish of risotto. Advice on wine pairing was excellent, my husband had the 'ravioli del plin' - also wonderful. The desert was interesting but non 'wow', the service was great but slowed way down as the restaurant filled up. We didn't mind because we weren't on a schedule and it was clear that we hadn't been forgotten, they had just reached a peak moment. So, I would advise to reserve an earlier time slot if possible. Absolutely recommended.

I was looking for something special (on a very special evening) and I found it! There isn't much to say: you've got to try it! The place is nice, the food is great and the people are lovely. I had an Insalata Caprese, Spaghetti alla Chitarra and a mouthwatering Limoncello Tiramisù ... absolutely divine. Remember to book a table if you want to be on the safe side (it's not a big place - I think maximum 30 people) and allow enough time to get there (it's in the city centre, so you will have to park your car and walk there). Cheers!

Carinissimo ristorante, sembra di andare a pranzo da persone conosciute da tempo. L'accoglienza del cliente deve essere sicuramente una priorità del locale perchè si viene accolti in maniera molto cordiale.Il locale è diviso su due piani e sicuramente il piano superiore è molto più accogliente come atmosfera, tra le altre cose molto ben riscaldato. Prima dell'ordine ci hanno offerto come entratina mozzarella con crostino di pane molto gradito. Nell'occasione abbiamo puntato sulla battuta a coltello di fassona con tartufo nero, a seguire lingua di fassona in vaso cottura molto ma molto tenera e dolce Zabaione in vaso cottura. Superlativi i grissini ed il pane. Ottima la scelta dei vini con la possibilità di scegliere anche la mezza bottiglia, scelta azzeccata per chi va a mangiare con commensali che amano l'acqua...eheheh...il vino è MEGLIO sempre e comunque quando è OTTIMO. Al servizio del caffè è stato servito anche un cofanetto con biscottini e piccole piramidi di cioccolato fondente. La quantità delle portate è adeguata. Il prezzo secondo noi è nelle norma.

Ristorantino is the apt name for this small but welcoming restaurant, with a spiral staircase connecting the two dining rooms and the multi-level kitchen. The cuisine is excellent, with dishes that are both delicious and beautiful to look at. Service is prompt, with friendly and attentive staff. The woman, who I almost certainly assume is the owner, is the highlight of the entire establishment.

Great service in this beautiful restaurant. Lovely wine suggestion, too. However, I made a mistake ordering the Panissa, the traditional risotto style of the area because it was just too rich and the pork fat element didn’t agree with me. I should have ordered the risotto with zucchini. Next time because I certainly would return to this restaurant if I’m ever in Vercelli again!

Pranzo 02/12. Sono stato a pranzo da solo e ho ordinato una bistecca di wagyu. Mi è stata servita dopo appena cinque minuti, con una qualità che, purtroppo, non rispecchiava affatto quanto dichiarato nel menù: carne molto magra, decisamente lontana da ciò che ci si aspetta da un wagyu, e con l’impressione che fosse stata semplicemente ripassata. Inoltre, mancava la salsa indicata nella descrizione del piatto. Lavoro come cuoco, quindi sono abituato a valutare con obiettività ciò che assaggio. Ho segnalato con educazione alla signora in sala i motivi della mia insoddisfazione, spiegando che avrei comunque pagato e sarei andato via senza chiedere nulla in più. La reazione, però, è stata sorprendentemente negativa: sono stato accusato di essere irrispettoso e lo chef è sceso in sala per tentare di giustificare il piatto con una lezione fuori luogo, sostenendo addirittura che la “sala fosse sotto la carne”. Sarebbe bastato proporre un’alternativa o trovare una soluzione semplice e professionale, invece di trasformare un commento costruttivo in una discussione inutile. Ho pagato come avevo detto sin dall’inizio e sono uscito con lo stomaco vuoto e una pessima esperienza. Spero che questa recensione sia uno spunto per migliorare l’accoglienza e il rispetto verso i clienti, anche quando esprimono un dissenso in modo educato.
