Sono ritornato a cena dopo averlo scoperto con amici questa primavera: l’Antica trattoria é top, dall’atmosfera cordiale ed elegante , le proposte in carta super interessanti e fedeli alle tradizioni liguri, il servizio di sala impeccabile, come il sommelier e le carte dei vini, anche naturali . Passaggio obbligato a Levanto. Grazie !

Everything about this restaurant was exceptional : the service was warm and attentive, the food was exquisite with incredible flavors, the setting was beautiful and inviting, and the overall quality was excellent. On our last day in the area, our hostess highly recommended that we go here for dinner. When we passed by, we went in and asked if we could reserve a table, and the owner was very kind. Even though he didn't speak English, we still managed to agree on when we wanted to come. I want to emphasise that if it takes a while to take your order, it's because there is a clear division between who takes orders, who serves, and who serves wine. So don't feel like you're being ignored; they know what they're doing and haven't forgotten you're there. We ordered a selection of sashimi and vegetable antipasti, which were very generous in size and really tasty. Then we shared the fish ravioli with lobster. Beyond the fact that the dish itself is beautiful, it is simply delicious and perfectly prepared. Keep in mind that the dish is huge and can easily feed three or even four people! Highly recommended. And another important thing - their sommelier is simply excellent.

My experience with Michelin guide’s acknowledged restaurants is flawless service with an unique atmosphere and perfect food. However, although this restaurant has excellent service provided by excellent servers, yet the food serves, to me, as somewhat lacking. The overwhelming majority of the dishes I tried lacked in salt and instead relied on the customer to make it to their desired taste. The wine list is impressive, but not too many options for soft drinks. For dessert my tiramisu felt a little bit lacking with the absence of liqueur. As a whole this was a great dinner and I’d certainly dine here again.

Best meal on our trip on Sept 19, '24. We had tried to get in a couple of times when we were walking by, but we finally made a reservation at 7 pm one night. We were the first ones in the restaurant, but that was kind of cool as we got served quickly. We shared the stuffed mussels (with a light tomato sauce) as an appetizer with local white wine, then we had the seafood risotto (could have served 3 ppl.) It was all soooo good! We shared a tiramisu that was also good, but not the best we've had. The servers were all nice and very efficient, and by the time 8 pm rolled around, the place was packed. Highly recommend!

Great service and restaurant. They were very friendly and accommodating. The sesame shrimp were interesting, as was the black gnocchi with lobster. Tiramisu and peach desserts were a nice finish.

Absolutely gorgeous, both the food and service. We shared a seafood risotto followed by a dessert each and coffees...everything was delicious. Very relaxing atmosphere and from looking about suitable for everyone...couples, big families, young families etc.

Tried to come here on Sat night but they were super full so we booked a table for 8pm on Sunday instead. After a full day exploring all 5 Cinque Terre villages my wife was tired but I was not deterred. We arrived at 8.05pm and had the most magical meal. From the wine that the Sommelier helped me pick from the Tuscany region to the Fasole Steak Tartare and the “Mixed Fish Grilled Platter” which was prawns, sardines and calamari the meal was fantastic and well priced. The Moxed Fish grilled platter was about $18 euro. I would drive to Lavanto just to come to this restaurant!

Amazing local place with variety of fresh sea food options. Staff were lovely & very accommodating. They sat us in, even though it was very close to their closing hour. The food is fancy but in big portions. Red fruits tiramisu was also very delicious, but we got hooked mostly because of our amazing waiter. We Recommend this place

Simply marvelous food. Great service, good prices, spacious dining hall and nice outside tables. The pasta/gnocchi with seafood is especially good, the pasta being homemade and the seafood incredibly fresh. Trio of anchovies was delicious and so was the mixed platter of grilled fish. Service was neat and if you want a quiet meal, eat inside. prices on the upper hand but justified for quality received.

Consigliatissimo! Posto da provare una volta che si arriva a Levanto! Piatti molto buoni e abbondanti! Solo l’antipasto misto consiste in una decina di portate! Cena per due, piatti ottimi con vasta scelta sia di carne che di pesce. Tempi di attesa nella media anche con locale pieno senza influire sul servizio ottimo del personale. Consigliati anche i dolci, molto buoni.

Pranzo veloce in centro. Ottimo locale con alcuni tavolini all’aperto e all’ombra. È meglio prenotare, passando prima. Oppure hanno all’interno molti tavoli e giustamente chiedono il green pass. Service and atmosphere was great. There was really loud club(?) music next door and our waiter would just randomly go there to dance. I thought it was pretty funny and definitely livened up the mood for me. Food was pretty mediocre and felt overpriced. Ordered: - antipasti del mare - pesto pasta - Ligurian style monkfish - Mixed fruit platter Positives: - the antipasti del mare is actually a really good deal contrary to some of the other items. It came with like 10 different pieces of seafood to try in two different courses. My boyfriend and I were able to split each one so we could taste it all - as mentioned before, service was great. Waiter was very attentive -the fruit platter had a great variety of fruits! I was craving just some simple fresh fruit and it came with slices of banana, kiwi, apples, peaches, grapes, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries. My favorites were the kiwi, bananas, and peaches. What I didn't like: - while the seafood appetizer had a lot of variety, I remember liking less than half of the items. Unfortunately I'm writing this review 3 days after going there and I can't even tell you what was on there which probably shows how memorable it was. - pesto pasta was really underwhelming. I believe the pasta is homemade and the texture was lovely, but it actually tasted like nothing. There was no pest flavor except for a slightly herbaceous taste. - monkfish, if you are like me and have never had monkfish prior, it is a unique fish for my palate. It's quite chewy (similar to a swordfish) and not at all flaky and has a pretty strong gamey taste. I personally wasn't a fan, not the restaurant's fault since it's just be the fish itself I don't like, but just a heads up up to those who may not have had it before! -my kiwi slices didn't come peeled. Perhaps a cultural difference in that they just eat the peel in Italy but I personally find it to bitter so I cut it off. The raspberries and blackberries were so sour I could only eat one of each Overall, it's fine if you're looking for an inoffensive restaurant, but I didn't really enjoy my food. I think we also ordered some less popular dishes so maybe if they have other specials those may be better.

Great restaurant! It is not possible to enter without registration, it is necessary to reserve a table. The food is very good, but the service is so-so, but the atmosphere is great. In general, I recommend it.

Went a second time on the same trip (Sept ‘21) at the husband’s request. First time we managed a walk in (10 min wait). The polpo & potatoes were delicious. Octopus was tender. The risotto is their signature dish & can only be order as two portions. It seemed on the smaller side but we enjoyed it. 2nd night the stuffed mussels were spectacular but the lobster gnocchi could have been a pass. Service could use a bit of improvement but overall worth dining here.

La qualità dei prodotti è molto curata. I piatti proposti sono buoni e porzioni giuste, saziano. La presentazione e l’impiattamento sono gradevoli. Purtroppo la sala è piuttosto rumorosa, i tempi di attesa veramente lunghi e soprattutto la disponibilità ad adeguare i piatti a intolleranze veramente scarsa, trattandosi particolarmente di ingrediente non fondamentale per piatti preparati con pesce fresco. Il conto un po’ salato.

It was a rather strange dinner yesterday at Antica Trattoria Centro in Levanto… The interior is simple yet elegant – clearly styled with Michelin aspirations in mind. The service was excellent, from making the reservation to wine selection, with a knowledgeable sommelier and an impressive wine list. The food, however, was average. Surprisingly average, in fact. We ordered stuffed mussels, a selection of anchovies, and a fish soup for two (which never arrived and, when it finally did, lacked character). Would I return for dinner - no.

We had the black gnocchi with lobster and a glass of wine and prosecco for a total of 65€. The black gnocchi with lobster dish (20€ each) had only 1 lobster. So you get half a lobster per person and some gnocchi. The dish was good but definitely not worth the price. The staff are very nice and the place is very welcoming in general, we just found the price very steep for the quantity and the quality.

Service and atmosphere is good, however food is.. lower than our expectations. Especially looking at the price. Mussels were not cleaned well before cooking so we had to get some parts out of our mouth. Green pasta was lower than average by taste. Risotto was good, rice is amazing, but again.. prepare the mussels before serving. And the only part of lobster that we say was a head. Will not visit again

Esperienza davvero pessima. Abbiamo speso 79 euro in totale per mangiare poco e molto male. Ho chiesto se fosse possibile ordinare una grigliata per una sola persona al posto che per due (mia moglie non mangia pesce) e la titolare infastidita mi dice che non è possibile e che è fattibile solo per due persone, ma che chiedeva allo chef e nel frattempo ordiniamo il resto. Non mi viene fatto sapere più nulla e nel frattempo arrivano le portate per la mia famiglia, un piatto di tagliolini al pomodoro ( 13 euro!!) per il mio piccolo, pasta fatta in caso con il loro pesto patate e fagiolini per la mia signora. Ecco che con mia gran sorpresa arriva la grigliata di pesce composta da un pezzo di rombo striminzito, una seppia, un gamberone e un gambero. 4 pezzi in totale. Pesce di qualità normale ma logicamente non mi sento sazio. I tagliolini del mio piccolo erano scotti e il sugo acido e di pessima qualità. Il piatto di mia moglie invece molto buono. Mentre maledico me stesso per la scelta di questo posto, cerco di mantenere la calma (a fatica) e provo a trovare pace con il dolce. Come potete vedere dalla foto in allegato un disastro. Tiramisù al caffè in crosta al cioccolato, una vera fregatura.. all'interno due pezzi di savoiardi buttati in una brodaglia di caffè insapore e mascarpone lavorato malissimo. A mia moglie il tiramisù ai frutti di bosco che non sapeva di niente. Furioso della bella fregatura è il mio turno per pagare in cassa, leggo lo scontrino 26 euro per la mia grigliata, un furto per 4 pezzi di pesce e mi rifiuto di pagare cosi tanto. Innervosita la titolare mi fa parlare con il cuoco che mi spiega che per la mia grigliata è stato scelto un gambero pregiato e addirittura un pezzo d'aragosta reale (ma in quale film!) il tutto condito da atteggiamento sfacciato concluso con affermazioni del tipo :" ehe allora vada lei a scegliere il pesce, cosa le devo dire allora la grigliata non la paghi." Nel frattempo la signora in cassa continuava con affermazioni del tipo :" Ehe ma non si vergogna a dire queste cose con un bambino." Morale, io capisco che sicuramente ho avuto un atteggiamento un po' aggressivo, ma credetemi che non ho visto nessuna voglia da parte di questi suddetti signori nel cercare di venire incontro alle mie lamentele anzi, ci ha fatto sentire denigrati e trattati con disprezzo. Non esiste più etica, più rispetto per il cliente pagante. Veri e propri mercenari che spolpano i turisti con prezzi fuori dal normale e prodotto di scarsa qualità semplicemente perché sono a Levanto e se lo possono permettere. Girate al largo da questo ristorante se non volete farvi fregare come noi. Morale: 1 piatto di pasta al sugo 1 piatto di pasta fatta in casa al pesto 1 grigliata di pesce ( four Pieces🤣🤣) 1 bottiglia d'acqua naturale 2 tiramisù Totale : 79 euro!! Tutto regolare. A mai più rivedervi.

Waited to order for over 40 mins! Despite telling multiple staff members that we were ready to order, no one came. Ended up leaving as it had been far too long. If you go here, I’d recommend bringing your own food so you don’t starve.
