The best restaurant in Alba by far. Everyone is so welcoming and kind. The food is absolutely amazing….with generous quantities of whites truflle! Matteo has an amazing ability to pick a perfect wine pairing and always at a great price point. Do chat more with him about smaller local producers to discover the lesser known producers he manages to uncover! They recently moved to a new place and they have managed to maintain the same style and ambiance. A fantastic place….a must visit restaurant in the heart of Alba!
One of the best meals I had during my trip to Piemonte. Every dish was a pleasant surprise. The onion specifically was a revelation and the panna cotta was a dream. Great value for money.
We were here during the truffle season. We walked in for lunch without a reservation but for dinner you need to reserve. Food was excellent. Generous portions. The staff are attentive, friendly and professional. A high standard. Most enjoyable lunch. Highly recommend.

Over the Alba truffle season, what an amazing place for wine and food lovers such as del Vicoletto. The patron absolutely passionate by the wine, this is a place to diner in if you are in Piemont in the area of Alba. My vénitian friend and I had great dishes with slices of white truffle , that was delicious with some wines. I recommand this very discret adress
We had a lovely lunch here. We decided to have two different pastas, including one with the in-season truffles, and both of them were my favourite dishes from the meal.
What an great place!!! Very kind staff members with a lot of knowledge of the food and wine! Inside it’s cozy and a bit romantic, outside you can sit in a quiet street with sometimes a bit of motion of cars and people walking by. A lot of products from the region, and a lot of it is handmade in the kitchen. A good variety of dishes!
I thought I had reviewed this place last year in September when I went for the most amazing chef's tasting menu pranzo I've ever had in my life. I had to resort to lunch because it was impossible to get a reservation for dinner. That's how good this place is. I dined alfresco just beyond the front door. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended. In my opinion one of the best restaurants in the entire world. Can't imagine any of the negative reviews could be accurate. Ignore them. One more thing: this restaurant has a number of dishes which have the Slow Food snail of approval. You don't see that very often. It's not easy to obtain.
Must go restaurant! Was driving through alba and found this place, it became the highlight of our trip the whole Italy trip! We ordered several dishes and they were all exceptional with the stand out being the octopus! This was the best octopus of my life. Service was amazing too! Don’t sleep on this one!

Great value wine list, handwritten seasonal menu with a wide selection. Fresh starters, the most memorable Italian artisan raviloli and gnocchi, and a stunning beef stew for the main course, which is very tasty.

Ordered one tasting menu and one a la carte. Good portion sizes - won't be going hungry. Good selection of food and well priced, around €15-20 a main. Lovely romantic setting. If there in the summer, note that the aircon is not that strong. Indoor and outdoor seating. Yes the service is slow but if you're not in a rush then just enjoy the evening! Wine recommended by the waiter produced locally was €15 so you won't get ripped off here.

Excellent experience at this osteria. The gnocchi with cheese sauce is incredible, and the tiramisu is delicious too. The quality of the food and service makes it a place worth visiting. Highly recommended!
