Just yesterday, Christmas Day, I went to this wonderful restaurant with my family for the first time. I had a wonderful time, to say the least. The location was decorated for Christmas, the food was excellent, from appetizers to dessert, the service was impeccable, the staff were very friendly, and the quality/price ratio was excellent! I highly recommend it! I'll be back soon.
Just a few minutes from Genoa, a very clean trattoria serving traditional Genoese and classic cuisine. Excellent pesto, mushroom minestrone, and, upon request, Xemin... the main courses are also excellent. Weekday business lunches at reasonable prices. Fast and accurate service.
I visited this lovely restaurant on Easter Sunday. Despite various setbacks, we managed to get there, albeit with a few fewer seats than expected. Orietta, the owner, was very kind and helpful, and accommodated our needs (we had trouble getting around due to the landslide on the SS45). Excellent food, fast service, and a lovely venue. Thanks again! See you soon!
Exceptional value for money! We had a mushroom-based lunch menu. Local mushrooms, fresh and beautifully cooked: green tagliolini with red mushroom sagu, trofie with white mushroom sauce, fried mushrooms, potatoes and mushrooms...all truly exceptional! Highly recommended, especially if you love Ligurian cuisine! Delicious desserts, especially the cakes! Unfortunately, I only managed to take a photo of the dessert; the rest of the dish didn't last long enough to be photographed!
Saturday lunch with a couple of friends in this typical restaurant, in a beautiful hillside location about 20mins from Genoa city centre. We had a fixed porcini mushroom-based menu consisting of a starter (cuculli); 2 mains (mushroom sauce lasagne + mushroom cream noodles); 2 second mains (fried mushrooms + mushroom potato stew); chips; dessert (large selection to choose from). Beginning to end everything was incredibly tasty and we even repeated the lasagne which were absolutely remarkable and reminded me of my mother's. Welcoming and attentive staff, excellent hygiene. From every detail you can tell the love and care being put into this family restaurant by the grandma and her two daughters; no wonder the family has been running it for 3 generations now. High quality products and very reasonably priced. 5 stars fully deserved and we will happily return. Totally reccomended.
We had lunch on a day when, in addition to the à la carte menu, they offered a mushroom-themed menu, consisting of an appetizer, two first courses, two second courses, dessert, water, house wine, and coffee. Being mushroom lovers, we chose that and thoroughly enjoyed it. The dishes were very good, the fried foods beautifully dry. The portions were generous, and we were always asked if we wanted more. The very friendly staff and clean restaurant completed an excellent experience. We will definitely return to try the à la carte menu as well.
This place was found by chance on Google with an exceptional rating of 4.6/5. I had come from Busalla to the area for a massage, and it was after 2:00 p.m. when I finally found the place (note: follow Google's directions, not your car's GPS, which sends you down a very narrow parallel alley where it's almost impossible to turn around!). I asked if I could still eat, and they told me, of course (I later learned that they reopened the kitchen especially for me!). The cuisine is regional and simple, but so delicious, using local ingredients (km zero, as they say today). The place is run by the fourth generation, two sisters in the dining room and the Ligurian mamma in the kitchen: the portions are generous and the flavors delicious. I had ravioli as a starter with a sauce that non-Italians might mistake for Bolognese, but far from it: garden vegetables simmered in olive oil, then finely chopped, then the meat cut into chunks, then chopped again, and then cooked at a low temperature for 3 hours, which gives it this exceptional flavor! And then a divine fritto misto: here too, garden vegetables, where you can taste all the flavor and freshness (impossible to imagine the sensation of a simple sage leaf breaded and fried in oil), meat instead of fish: very surprising! The panissa in addition to the fries. But the most surprising and delicious part is the sweet part of the dish (in the photo, the 5 leftmost elements of the dish). Apart from the very surprising apple, there's a succulent latte dolce fritto and, the cherry on the cake, fried almond paste. Simply divine! Imagine the patience and the hours you must spend in the kitchen to prepare all that! Here, they serve it to you at the table, and with a smile to boot! I also had a dessert, and since I was undecided between the two, one of the sisters offered me half of each. The almond paste cake was delicious. The price paid for this pure bliss was ridiculously low: I bought a bottle of water, a quarter of red wine, ravioli as a starter, fritto misto as a main course, two beautiful slices of cake, a coffee, and a local amaro (herbal digestif), and it all cost me €30.00. Unimaginable back home! The younger of the two sisters is very talkative, and we exchanged travel memories. At the end, I even had a chance to chat with the mamma, who shared the recipe for the ravioli sauce with me and then went back to the kitchen to cook more to have enough for Assumption Day. It was her grandfather who opened the restaurant 140 years ago. It's a place worth a visit if you're in the area. Try to make a reservation, though, as it's a restaurant very popular with locals, a sign of excellent quality.
I celebrated my 28th birthday here at Ristorante Maxin, where I had a wonderful meal. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I always come here because it almost feels like home. The menu is set, with homemade dishes, including two appetizers to suit all tastes, two first courses, and two second courses. They even offer dessert, where I had my birthday cake. It's a popular place, both for me and other locals, so I recommend booking. Very fair prices! Thank you so much! Parking is available outside. When I return in the future, I'll take photos of the entire place.
Ligurian cousine at its best! Great service and location!
Generous portions, delicious taste, reasonable prices.

Exellent !!! 👍
Excellent
It's been a few years since I've eaten at Maxin. I have to say the food was good; we had a mushroom menu and two à la carte dishes. The service was a little slow, but that's okay if you want to take your Sunday off the hook. The fried mushrooms were very good, as was the pesto. I appreciated that I called at the very last minute and they welcomed us. We'll be back!
Excellent trattoria just steps from the main street of Bargagli on Via Sant'Alberto. Small but tidy and clean, with outdoor seating (perhaps in spring/summer). The staff is friendly and always available. Typical Ligurian cuisine with meat-based appetizers, ravioli with ragù, and tagliolini with creamed mushrooms, just like grandma used to make. The wild boar could have been improved, as could the roast. The fried mushrooms, however, are excellent. All-inclusive menu for €30. For an evening with friends, it's a good option. We'll be back on themed nights. Recommended.
