Opinions de L'orto di Alice Via Niccolò Tommaseo
Wow. Really: wow! Being able to eat good food served by truly competent staff in an elegant yet familiar setting is not something you get every day. And the tasting menu is a bargain. Recommended!
We had a great time. The restaurant is well-maintained, clean, and modern. The menu is varied but not overly extensive, with several options including main courses, appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts. The food is good, with generous portions and just the right amount of salt. The staff is friendly and attentive. If I may suggest something, they could explain the various dishes more precisely. Competitive prices! Without a doubt, one of the best vegan restaurants in Turin, I definitely recommend it.
An intimate and welcoming place, modern and stylish, with delicious and excellently cooked seasonal vegetable dishes. I'd heard about it a while ago, and then I happened to be in the area with friends, so we took advantage of the opportunity. Definitely worth returning to! Everything was delicious, and the variety of options is remarkable...
We went tonight with 15 of us to celebrate my brother-in-law Lorenzo's 60th birthday. It was my first time at a vegan restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised by the tastes and flavors the chef created. The food and service were excellent. The waitress was always smiling and very courteous, and provided excellent service. Everyone was truly commendable. An excellent experience, definitely recommended.
This small restaurant is located just steps from the Fermi metro station; the interior is simple but well-maintained and welcoming, with an open kitchen. The menu is varied and interesting, featuring a wide variety of vegan dishes. We tried the veggie burger, the calamarata with almond ricotta and pistachios, the cheesecake, and the Sacher torte. Everything was delicious, with bold flavors and generous portions. The staff is very friendly, the service is quick, and the prices are more than fair. Highly recommended for an excellent vegan meal!
Fantastic food, friendly staff, fast and attentive service. This is my second time back, and I wasn't disappointed at all. It's wonderful to find a place like this where you can eat entirely plant-based food that's simply delicious! As for the quality/price ratio, I find it top-notch: an appetizer, a main course, three first courses, two desserts, and two waters for €50. Given the quality and dedication behind it, I'd say five stars isn't enough!
Kudos to the chef for the authenticity of the dishes and the meticulous presentation! We tried the tasting menu for lunch: 10 savory appetizers including almond ricotta, hummus, cashew cheese, soy lasagna, and spinach and chickpea frittata. Everything was delicious. We decided to continue with two desserts: a chocolate and almond ingot and a Sachertorte, simply delicious!!! They're well-equipped for little ones (with colorful plates and cutlery and a well-stocked changing table—well done!!!!). You can also purchase homemade desserts like cookies and panettone. Excellent value for the lunch tasting menu, at €15. We paid €5 for dessert. We were delighted to try your excellent vegan cuisine, thank you!
Located just steps from the subway terminus (toward Fermi). The restaurant is clean, quiet, and serves truly enviable quality ingredients. During lunch, you're pampered by a wonderful jazz soundtrack. This is a vegan restaurant, with no animal-based dishes. My experience at L'orto di Alice was decidedly positive. The chef's dishes are above average, presented with style, and you can see a refinement in the dishes, which translates into unique pairings. My experience is limited to the 2/3-course lunch menu. The lunch package includes 2 or 3 courses, water, and a cover charge for 8/10 euros. The fresh pasta is exceptional, comparable to that found in other restaurants. The combination of fresh tagliolini with zucchini pesto and peanut sauce is truly remarkable. The veggie burgers are incredibly tasty and taste just like the ones we're used to. A special mention goes to the Sachertorte; a true masterpiece, I haven't even found one this good in Vienna. Another dish worth trying is the spelt tataki; it's exceptional. If you happen to be passing by the Orto, I highly recommend stopping for lunch; you'll be more than satisfied with your choice when you leave.
The most memorable vegan food I ever had. It's creative, delicious and presented in a very posh way, even when you don't consider you get 5 different dishes, including an appetizer and a desert for 30€. The chef is extremely kind and let me in 30 minutes before they officially opened, so I could catch my train back to Milano in time, he explained every single dish and was very polite, the waitress was also very kind. If you ever eat here be sure to tip them heavily.
Super
A charming and simple place, every reference to Alice is there! The owner, a very knowledgeable chef, explains the dishes with passion as he brings them to you. The dishes are captivating, delicious, and served with a unique and meticulous attention to detail. On Saturdays, there's a tasting menu with five hot and five cold courses. It might not seem like much, but considering the work in the kitchen, I'd say the tasting was satisfying. In fact, next time I'll be back to try the dishes on the menu because I was intrigued by Alice's vegan option. 😋
A pleasant surprise: the place was lovely, the girl who served us was smiling and kind, and the dishes were delicious and plentiful. A special mention goes to the appetizers, which in my opinion were superb. The second courses were a bit disappointing, with the ravioli being a bit overcooked for our taste and the black chickpea fillet, which despite being well-cooked, was a lump that tasted a lot like beans and not much like chickpeas. And since I hate beans, I can't get to 5 stars, but I'll definitely return to try again.
