Sofia Falco

A traditional restaurant offering homemade dishes using local ingredients. The charcuterie and cheese platter is excellent, accompanied by excellent, generous, and high-quality salads. The tagliatelle with Aosta blue cheese melts in your mouth. The desserts are simple but homemade. Everything is excellent, highly recommended!

At the foot of the mule track leading to Verrès Castle, I found a traditional restaurant where I could recover from the fatigue of visiting the castle and sample a taste of the Aosta Valley. I admit it was the first Aosta Valley restaurant I'd tried, so I had high expectations. At first glance, I expected more from less in terms of quantity. However, the quality of what I ate and the attention to detail that went into each dish makes me say I was right to stop here and choose it as my entrée. The tagliatelle with Bleu d'Aoste was a fascinating explosion of perfectly balanced flavors, and the meat was a real treat. The price was also fair and in keeping with the quality of the meal. My compliments to them, and bon appétit to those who choose them.

We had dinner at the restaurant beneath Verres Castle on New Year's Eve. Prices were slightly higher than the à la carte menu. The Arnad lard was delicious, as was the cheese platter. The tagliatelle melted in your mouth, and the white ragù was delicious. The stew was excellent, as was the polenta. The tart, made with non-00 flour, was delicious, with a tangy aftertaste, perhaps due to the plums. The B&B Al Drit is located behind the restaurant. It's still family-run, and I highly recommend going there because it's simply fabulous!

Everything was excellent. From the friendliness, to the food, to the location surrounded by greenery near Verrès Castle. It's worth the hike up. Recommended!

Located just below Verrès Castle, it offers traditional dishes. It's also open for lunch and as a bar. The stew with polenta concia (€16), the cheese and cured meat platter (€14), and the tagliatelle with Blu D'Aosta sauce (€12) are excellent. The owners are very friendly. There's a small castle parking lot right next door. Otherwise, it's a short walk through the countryside from the town center.

A wonderful and delicious experience! Chosen by chance, it turned out to be an excellent restaurant where you can try a typical Aosta Valley menu mixed with other dishes, such as maltagliati with salmon, to offer a wider selection and thus meet the demands of a wider clientele. Excellent!

A traditional restaurant located right at the foot of Verres Castle. The kitchen offers excellent local dishes, and at lunchtime you can choose from a set menu. The price is fair for the quality.

Excellent, traditional cuisine. The staff is friendly and attentive. You can choose between an à la carte menu and 2-3 different fixed-price menus (appetizer, first course, and dessert, or appetizer, second course, or dessert). The value is excellent, and the flavors are exceptional. It's also close to a beautiful castle.

A restaurant just outside the town center with parking. It has just a few tables, making it quiet. The place is clean and comfortable. The menu is typical of the Aosta Valley: I tried the polenta concia and it was excellent.

Esperienza molto positiva! Location incantevole ai piedi del Castello di Verrès, con un locale semplice e accogliente. Materie prime di qualità servite nei piatti tipici della tradizione locale: ho apprezzato i sapori e la quantità delle portate, più che adeguata. La capienza del locale è contenuta, con beneficio per la tranquillità, sicuramente consigliato!

I expected a "tourist trap" place, as often happens near attractions, but instead I found an excellent appetizer with various top-quality local cured meats (Arnad lard, spicy salami, salami, purple beetroot salami, coppa, bresaola, and prosciutto). The tagliatelle with ragù were also good, even though they weren't Bolognese-style. It's a shame the wait for the tagliatelle was a bit long, given that at 2:00 PM the place was fairly empty. Prices were normal. Excellent view of Verres Castle.
