È la terrazza più bella del lago di Como, i proprietari ed il personale sono persone squisite, la cucina è ottima e i prezzi sono accessibili. La comodità di attraccare direttamente alla loro banchina non ha prezzo.

Ottimo locale vicino al lago. Menù terra/mare, un po' turistico, ma va bene vista la zona. Risotto al persico spaziale, salmerino anche, forse le verdure al vapore andavano cucinate un minuto di più. Lista vini molto interessante. Personale giovane e molto cortese, preparato e professionale. Peccato essere solo di passaggio, se mai ritorneremo verso il lago di Como, saremo lieti di mangiare nuovamente qui.

Bel locale della tradizione: ottima cucina e vini, servizio attento e cordiale. Torta commisionata super. Posizione sul lago divina. Pranzo di compleanno tra parenti ben riuscito. Peccato per i parcheggi centellinati, ma la zona è incastonata tra monti e lago.

Sono stato a pranzo su consiglio di un amico in questo ristorante, location bellissima a ridosso del lago si stava davvero bene!! Il cibo molto buono prima ho preso specialità di lago è arrivato salmerino laccato su polenta e dopo un risotto con il persico, da sottolineare io ero da solo ma il risotto era minimo x2, hanno accettato la mia richiesta e mi è stato servito solo per uno non è da tutti!! Il risotto era diverso da altri posti in zona molto meglio mantecato come lo fate voi prende più gusto e sapore secondo me. Camerieri gentilissimi mi hanno consigliato due calici di bianco molto buoni. Penso proprio di tornarci è stato un ottimo pranzo in riva al lago… prezzi giusti magari un po’ più alti degli altri ma per la vista è la qualità dei prodotti vale molto, nessuno ha una location così bella. Un ristorante in una location davvero molto suggestiva con molti tavoli all'interno ma anche possibilità di mangiare nel giardino all'aperto con vista lago in una zona abbastanza tranquilla e a due passi dal molo. Il menu ha sia portate di pesce di lago, ottimo quello in carpione tra gli antipasti, che piatti a base di carne tutti molto appetitosi. Tra i primi ho provato gli spaghetti con bottarga di lago, davvero molto apprezzati. Ottima selezione di vini e drinks. Servizio veloce ed efficiente, prezzi adeguati.

Soggiornato in questo hotel 2gg ( solo colazione) ci siamo trovati molto bene: ottima sistemazione per vivere il lago di Como e anche per spostarsi a Como oppure a Bellagio. Certo il parcheggio non si trova facilmente nel paesino di Torno e nei paesi vicini ma soggiornare in questo hotel con una balcone e una finestra ( oppure un tavolo a colazione) che si affacciano sul lago non ha prezzo: è uno spettacolo unico! L'unico consiglio che mi sento di poter dare è quello di migliorare un pò la colazione.

We had a wonderful evening at Vapore. It felt like we were invited for dinner at our cool Italian friend’s place. The wine we were recommended was one of the best we’ve ever had. The food was incredible from the appetizer to the main to the dessert. All the staff we interacted with clearly loved this restaurant and were excellent at their job. We loved our stay at Hotel Vapore — it’s one of those places where you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The staff are outstanding: Manager/Sommelier Osman makes dinner memorable, and host Maria runs everything with warmth and care, and servers like Murat and the whole team treat you like family. The location is perfect — right in front of the port, so catching the aqua taxi is easy. Note: it’s not directly accessible by car; you park above and walk down some steps, but if you’re visiting the Lake Como area, expect a few steps everywhere — it’s part of the charm! The hotel even has a vehicle that runs up and down to help with your luggage, which makes things so much easier, especially with kids. They were super friendly and accommodating with my daughter — that personal touch makes all the difference. Even though many famous people have stayed here, they make every guest feel like a VIP. The restaurant is cozy, with a well-chosen small menu and an unbeatable view — a perfect spot to unwind after a day on the lake. Warm, family-friendly, perfectly located — highly recommended, and we’d stay here again without a doubt!

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights this past week and we loved our stay. The views are fantastic from our room. Italian atmosphere and very friendly service and all the staff were great. We arrived there without reservations and were lucky they have availability. Maria and the other lady at the front desk are very nice and helpful. You can’t get to the hotel by car but if you find parking by the municipal office is not hard to get to and staff is very helpful to help you with your luggage anyway. They also offer parking in an offsite location and they will help you get to the parking and with your luggage. Location is right by Torno’s ferry stop so you can visit Como and all the other cities around the lake easily. Breakfast is great and the restaurant is good. The rooms are simple but good, we would love to go back anytime.

Great hotel! Typical Italian atmosphere at quiet location in Torno. Not directy accessible by car but staff is very helpful to help you with your luggage. Free parking is available but you have to be lucky to find a spot, better is to book a paid parking spot via the hotel in the garage. Torno has it's own little harbour so you can visit lake Como best by the ferry service, parking can be a challenge in the towns around lake Como. Breakfast is great, the staff very helpful. The rooms are simple but good slept very well for 8 nights. They are cleaned every day. What could be better is the temperature of the water in the shower, it's a bit luke, not really warm. Some tiles in our room were broken and coming loose. Also adding a big mirror in the room would be great. Other than these minor issues we've had a lovely stay at this hotel, great value for your money.

Our favorite restaurant on the lake. The view is absolutely unbeatable, and the food was amazing. My favorites were the Zander (from the lake) and the eggplant parmigiana ravioli. The staff are super friendly, gave perfect recommendations for wine pairings and were so attentive, I never even filled my own glass. They are seriously so sweet. I can’t wait to be back.

Best location directly on the lake. The hotel is very nice. The restaurant is good. Our room was very old-fashioned, but clean. Tip: find out about parking in advance. There is a hotel parking lot, but it is not visible. Just give them a call. The staff are very polite and helpful.

Ci sono stato una bella sera d'estate e abbiamo cenato sulla terrazza in riva al lago, con una splendida vista. Cibo così così, ma posto veramente bello. Personale gentile e disponibile. Peccato sia quasi impossibile trovare un parcheggio vicino.

Si trova a Torno con terrazzo sul lago di como dove si possono degustare svariati piatti ben cucinati sia di primi che di secondi con pesce o carne e un ricco buffet di antipasti. Ma sopratutto in un atmosfera da favola . Bella di giorno e Meravigliosa la sera.

Ristorante con location splendida, è il posto perfetto per un tranquillo pranzetto la domenica. L’impiattamento è un po’ retrò ma i sapori ci sono tutti. È adatto anche ai bambini. Unica gravissima pecca sono le cannucce di plastica non riciclabile che dimostrano una disattenzione verso l’ambiente.

Ottimo per un pranzo o per cena. Vista impagabile cibo e servizio ottimo.

Un ristorante meraviglioso affacciato sulle rive del lago di Como, bellissimo per pranzare o per cenare, piatti ottimi dall’antipasto ai dolci, vino non da meno, il tutto in una cornice splendida!! Consigliato!!!

09/2023 un buon ristorante a Torno, molto curato e di classe, forse con interni un po' decò, ma il servizio, la professionalità del personale sono eccellenti, la vista del lago e della di fronte Moltrasio dal nostro tavolo nel giardino , quasi una "beatitudine"... Il cibo? Buono, con l'antipasto del mitsulitt con polenta veramente da gustare ( sardine o pesci similari essiccati e salati, con gusto decisamente forte, ma tipico del cibo fatto nei tempi passati per durare).

La cucina è buona. I piatti proposti non mi hanno mai deluso. Sono ben presentati antipasto a buffet. Buona carta vini. Con la bella stagione si può approfittare del giardino a lago veramente incantevole. Con pontile x approdo. Personale gentile.

We only went to the restaurant hotel. The spot is very romantic with a magnificent view. We had one dish with fish and one dish spaghetti, both were very well presented and delicious. Salad was big and interesting, dessert was descent. Service was good, I think the waiter was rather disappointed we didn't want wine... and he was not happy serving us :(

Albergo ristorante situato in una posizione meravigliosa del lago di Como (possiede anche dei posti barca a disposizione dei Clienti e dal lago si può accedere direttamente al giardino). È una struttura storica che, a quanto abbiamo capito, l'attuale gestione è riuscita a riportare al successo. A mio parere andrebbe rimodernato sia negli interni che nel menù. Comunque il cibo è di buon livello.

Un Panorama Incantevole, Ma la Cucina Non Convince Appieno Premessa importante: questa recensione si riferisce esclusivamente al ristorante e non alla struttura alberghiera annessa. Siamo stati attirati a pranzo dalla bellezza mozzafiato del posto: il lago di Como che si staglia davanti agli occhi crea un'atmosfera davvero speciale e indimenticabile. La location è stupenda e il servizio si è rivelato ottimo, con camerieri educati, gentili e professionali, sempre attenti alle nostre esigenze. Tuttavia, per quanto riguarda la cucina e i prezzi, l'esperienza è da rivedere e non è stata all'altezza delle aspettative create dal contesto. I tavoli all'esterno, seppur funzionali, risultano abbastanza semplici e danno un'impressione di leggera trascuratezza, che stona un po' con la magnificenza del panorama. Ciò che ci ha lasciati maggiormente perplessi è stato il rapporto qualità-prezzo. Personalmente, ho ordinato un piatto di spaghetti al pomodoro e basilico al costo di 16 euro: la porzione era veramente esigua, quasi da menu per bambini. Anche le altre portate scelte dai miei commensali, come i ravioli di baccalà a 22 euro e due risotti al pesce persico (per un totale di 44 euro), sebbene non fossero male, non hanno offerto quel "quid" in più che ci si aspetterebbe da tali prezzi e da una simile location. Persino il dolce, con pezzetti di nocciole, si è rivelato quasi immangiabile; tuttavia, essendo stato invitato da un amico, mi è dispiaciuto farlo notare al personale di sala in quel momento. Considerando anche coperti, acqua, caffè e aperitivi, il conto finale per quattro persone è ammontato a 150,50 euro. Comprendiamo che la posizione in una zona altamente turistica e la vista spettacolare possano influire sui prezzi, ma, francamente, la cifra pagata ci è sembrata eccessiva rispetto alla qualità complessiva e alla quantità delle pietanze offerte. In sintesi, location e servizio promossi, ma cucina e prezzi decisamente da ricalibrare.

Non ho soggiornato, ho pranzato nel ristorante, cucina buona e ampia scelta di vini. Sconsigliatissimo arrivarci in auto a causa dei parcheggi scarsi e raggiungibili solo attraverso la scalinata del borgo. Ottimo invece il servizio dei vaporetti pubblici che fermano proprio davanti alla struttura, posizionata in riva al lago, e collegano con Como centro e con altre località.

Ristorante con vista lago dove amiamo tornare soprattutto in estate, raggiungibile anche con la barca. I tavoli del ristorante sono tutti disposti in una bel giardino terrazzato, di piccoli sassolini bianchi, riparato dal sole. Abbiamo scelto portate a base di pesce di lago ma il menù è vario. Oggi 4 settembre 2022 ho pranzato nuovamente in questo ristorante e purtroppo mi devo ricredere: probabilmente è cambiato qualcosa in cucina o nell’organizzazione. Abbiamo aspettato un’ora di orologio per mangiare risotto col persico e un lavarello, e quando finalmente ci sono stati portati non si sono giustificati e nemmeno scusati. Ho visto più volte un cameriere girare disorientato tra i tavoli con due portate in mano. Ho visto un altro cameriere rovesciare un piatto di patatine fritte per terra e lasciarle lì. Qualcosa è cambiato e non mi è piaciuto, meglio prima

Sulla posizione non c’è da dire niente, semplicemente favolosa. Buona carta dei vini. Servizio buono. Sul cibo ecco.. si può fare di più.. Non ci tornerei.

We visited only the restaurant. They have very small portions and they are very expensive for this small quantity of food. The food was tasty though. The stuff was a bit rude, they implied they wanted us to leave the restaurant because we didn't spend as much money as they wanted us to do.

For the restaurant. The view is AMAZING. For a place like that, you’ll be expecting so much more for the food. However, the food didnt live up to the expectations. The octopus pasta was okay. Not so bad, but not so wow either. Would recommend this restaurant for the view. Not for the octopus pasta. Maybe the other food options are better, but if the octopus pasta is supposedly the best-seller, then don’t expect a lot.

^^update^^ After having a phone call and 2 texts from the owner since we have returned to the UK trying to get me to remove my review comments Iv now given it 1star not 2 !!! Called me a liar and apparently I was sitting in doors on the best table ? Pics tell another story Review - Our visit to the restaurant (not hotel) was quite an experience. Thunderstorms and heavy rain was forecast for the evening and all night so were a bit surprised when we were seated right next to the waters edge and not under a canopy as the clouds were already on us . Waited 10 mins for a menu although only a handful of people were there being seated (also on the outer edge) . Was finally asked if we wanted an aperitif and given the menus . The prices for food are very reasonable and range from €18-€30 which we thought was very good for the quality of food . However after asking for the wine list after ordering the food (wasn’t shown one before ) we were presented with an iPad that had about 15 red wines on it that ranged from €50 - €360 !! Wasn’t expecting to spend such an amount on a drink when the food wasn’t in that price bracket and neither did the hotel look it (3 stars) After basically telling him we didnt want any wine his whole attitude to us seemed to change and rest of the evening felt awkward. The actual young waiter who did serve us food etc and clear the tables was fantastic however . Chaos came when the heavens opened up and Everyone (about 6 tables in all) suddenly needed to be moved under shelter . Headless chickens came to mind as the “big chiefs” moved plates , cutlery etc around onto tables they had for some reason only 10 minutes before cleared off . Anyway to sum it up , very good food for price but expect to be ignored and treated differently by some staff if you are not spending €100 on a bottle of wine .

What a total disaster ! We travelled over from Lake Maggiore for what we hope to be a magical time on Lake Como. The Sat Nav successfully took us past Como into a winding narrow road that twisted and turned for miles. Poor signage meant we missed the turning and took 11 kilometres before we could find anywhere to turn round. In the meantime we were nearly hit by a bus delivery lorry and 3 cars all out to prove they were the retired Italian racing team. Eventually found this narrow track that led us to the sparsely named “car park” that was not only full would not have accommodated any vehicle larger than a small car (we have an Audi 5). The final track to the hotel was so narrow even a small Suzuki Jeep struggled to come up from it. With no parking we tried calling the hotel - no signal - tied the internet - no signal and in the end - given I gave just had replacement knees we had to make a decision to abort the booking. When we contacted the hotel there was no sympathy no understanding no offer of any refund - just “it’s our policy not to refund” - we were totally deflated having looked forward for so long to our trip and having such a wonderful romantic time with the lovely people of Lake Maggiore - be careful folks !!!
