Opinions de Piovono Bombette Via San Faustino
Small, typical Apulian trattoria. WE ATE LIKE GODDESS!!! Everything was delicious, from the focaccia barese to the Catalogna and the bombette! The owner was very kind and recommended the APERITRULLO, a tasting menu to try a bit of everything. We left there rolling. 😂 Super location!
A little corner of Puglia in Brescia! I'm from Puglia on a business trip, and this place really feels like I'm somewhere in Puglia. Even the background chatter from other tables is a bonus. The food is delicious, with special mention for the bombette and mozzarella! The orecchiette with turnips are plentiful, but I recommend ordering them in the dead of winter because at the end of October there were only leaves. Regardless, the dish is delicious! Antonio and his wife run the place with love, and you can tell! 👌🏼
Thank you to the goddess of luck who sent us to this TRATTORIA. Fantastic meats in mixed meat suggestions. Very beautiful bulk pink wine. Impeccable service from the tall gentleman with the beard and the BOSS shirt, probably the boss, smiling and speaking English and helped me understand their dishes. Tourist friends and of course Italians, you should come here for food without thinking too much My love from Greece.
A restaurant in Brescia's nightlife district, which also offers a pleasant outdoor seating area in a small square in the summer. The Apulian dishes are always excellent. Yesterday we tried the aperitrullo, a tasting of appetizers, first courses, and second courses, which was truly delicious and plentiful. The owners are very friendly.
The place to be
I visited this restaurant on Saturday for dinner. An excellent place to eat typical Apulian dishes. Very friendly and, above all, fast staff. You can eat inside or outside, and the kitchen is open to the public. There were two of us, and we ordered a platter of typical Apulian cheeses, caciocavallo melted in a terracotta pot, and a mix of Apulian bombette. The quality of the ingredients was excellent. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone who wants to try Apulian cuisine.
Great, typical southern Italian cuisine from Puglia with a funny twist. Very nice people friendly and the food was great, also the pork, the wine was totally matching very basic smoth but fitting the nice food. You can skip the dessert, not their strength. Highly recommend a visit we where happy with everything from start to finish.
This weekend we returned to Brescia after about three years, and we couldn't miss this place, where we know the food is top-notch. Delicious, high-quality dishes! We ordered the "Pino Bombette" appetizer, orecchiette with turnip tops and burrata, pumpkin lasagna, pizza verace with burrata, and bombette with chili pepper and stracciatella. Everything was superb! The owners were always welcoming and very kind! It's great that the prices have remained the same, but the quality of the products hasn't changed! We'll be back soon!
Excellent Apulian restaurant in the center of Brescia. The menu features mainly Apulian meat in the form of bombettes, sausage, and lamb, typical of the Itria Valley region of Puglia. I also tried the appetizer of mozzarella, ricotta, eggplant in oil, lupini beans, and olives: all very good. The special of the day also included orecchiette with turnip tops, so there's an alternative to meat. As a native of Puglia, I can confirm that all the products I eat are strictly made in Puglia and are fresh, tasty, and cooked to perfection. Kudos to everyone at "Piovono Bombette" who, with courtesy and fair prices, offer an alternative restaurant in Brescia. We'll definitely be back to try their other offerings. Thank you.
very good food, very nice people
I love everything about Puglia: the wonderful sea, the warmth of the people, and of course the good food... I was very curious to try this new restaurant, and my expectations were high. The atmosphere is charming and refined, the staff kind and welcoming. The dishes are served on traditional ceramic plates, the kind you find in your grandmother's cupboard, a distinctive touch I appreciate. The menu is a testament to its authenticity, from rustico to pasticciotto, a triumph of exquisitely Apulian flavor. Excellent ingredients, delicious ricotta, mozzarella, and burrata. Orecchiette with turnip greens, my great passion, tasty, balanced, divine!
A cozy place and welcoming staff serving Apulian (South Italy) dishes.
Vi faremo sicuramente ritorno in altre occasioni
This was one of the places we got recommended to go and try the food. We managed to get a table during a busy weekend, the place was full at all time, people just going out and their seats got filled soon after. The atmosphere is welcoming and cosy, the staff is friendly. We ordered a mix of starters which was quite good, a variety of different flavours. For main we ordered a mix of bombette, which are sort of wrapped pork, the difference between them was the topping they came with. They were all quite good. We also ordered a side of potatoes to go with them which were tasty but at the end got overpowered by saltines in both dishes. We also got orecchiette alle cime di rapa, which was a little bit too bitter on its own which came from the turnip greens. They did however work nicely with the bombette. Overall the food was good, I would especially recommend this place if you really like pork.
As a good Apulian I tried this restaurant run by Pugliesi. Nice place, small, very rustic with an open kitchen which gives it a welcoming and warm air. We had the appetizers and the bombette. The bombette were good but what we definitely appreciated were the appetizers of cold cuts and the platter of typical cheeses that were truly quality Arriving at the dessert we ordered the "Pasticciotto" a typical Apulian dessert, well I have some reservations about this, good yes... but not comparable to the original recipe from my area, if you were to order it anyway I recommend the ricotta and chocolate chips one which in my opinion is a little better, Overall a good restaurant
The atmosphere is small, very welcoming, and colorful! The bombette are fantastic, but they also offer first courses of the day and other traditional Apulian dishes. The open kitchen is very charming, but since the place is small, the aromas of the food being prepared are intense. Perfect for a dinner with friends.
Super hipster place you want to try if you visit the renown "Carmine" area in Brescia. Radical chic that pretend to be simple and careless. Fascinating in its own way, the food is very good, trattoria style. Vegan and vegetarian option, are available as well as home wine. Definitively suggested if you are bored of all the pretentious fancy restaurants.
Sono rimasto molto deluso, mi aspettavo vero cibo pugliese invece oltre all antipasto molto industriale, pure una larva nei ceci tostati! Le bombette abbastanza dure da masticare
My expectations were high, but unfortunately they were disappointed (compared to the food I ate when I visited Puglia). The atmosphere was spartan, with a paper placemat and an outdoor table. The appetizer (overall plentiful and good value) had a nasty surprise: the toasted chickpeas had a larva (which can happen, as I mentioned when I got the bill, but it affected my meal). The sun-dried tomatoes and olives were clearly industrial, the ricotta and mozzarella knots were decent, and I found the rustico leccese to be the best dish of the appetizer. The breaded garlic and parsley bombettes disappointed me, as I can't deny the pleasant aromas, but the meat was quite sinewy (my father-in-law is a butcher, quality capocollo is another matter entirely), and I would have presented it better, perhaps with a side of vegetables. The presentation was a bit sad, a shame. When I got the bill, I received a €2 discount. I wouldn't say I would have offered dinner, but I would have removed the cost of the appetizer. Claiming I made up the vermicelli (I could have taken a photo, okay?) calls my honesty into question. The owner, however, is a kind person. I'm sorry for the unfortunate experience; given the other positive reviews, I probably just had a bad night.
