Abbiamo trovato Bella Bu per caso, passeggiando nella tortuosa Genova ricca di tourist traps. Il locale è molto carino e accogliente, il menù tapas bello e saporito, la cacio e pepe e le costine di maiale spaziali! Il tutto condito da buone birre artigianali. Servizio accurato e cordiale, prezzo ok per essere in centro a Genova. Raccomandato!

Ho mangiato i bucatini cacio e pepe (spettacolari) e un meraviglioso filetto di maialino. Poi ho dato una sbirciata al tavolo accanto e ho visto una maestosa milanese di maiale che avrei assaggiato volentieri! Visto il livello della cena, e nonostante io non sia un'amante dei dolci, ho deciso di ordinare anche il cheese cake: non me ne sono affatto pentita! Eccellente! Consigliatissimo. Complimenti al Bella Bu che non delude mai!

Eravamo a Genova di passaggio per una sera e siamo entrati per caso. Un locale curatissimo, tra i bellissimi vicoli del centro storico, con un servizio gentile e una proposta ricercata, pur nella sua semplicità. Purtroppo la stanchezza non ci ha permesso di approfittare della invitante e amplissima carta dei vini. Plus (per noi importantissimo): sottofondo musicale perfetto e al volume giusto, cosa decisamente mai scontata. Aggiunto immediatamente tra i preferiti, per quando torneremo in città. Grazie della bella cena! ♥️

Absolutely loved our experience here. We made reservations through Google which was very convenient. At first I was skeptical that it would get noticed but Bella Bu was so quick in making it happen. A hidden gem. We ended up there after a tip from a friend. Normally you would probably pass by without thinking. But what a treat. Try the small tapas-style dishes to share. They are very tasty, such as the zucchini flowers. The service is friendly and the location is beautiful. They also have a good local wine list.

Highly recommend this spot for unpretentious and excellent Ligurian-inspired cuisine. Excellent Negroni and Caipirinha(!) The tapas portions are generous: eggplant sticks dusted with cornmeal and fried well dipped in herby tzatziki, perfectly battered and fried fiori di zucca with gazpacho, squid panzanella with nicely balanced acidity, and a polpo corn taco. Spaghetti alle vongole was a perfect primi and altogether was super filling. Amazing sorbettos to finish. Outdoors is a construction site but still pretty quiet and nice after dusk. 100€ with 2 drinks each for 2ppl.

My friends and I are traveling through Italy from the U.S. we stopped here for dinner last night and found a gem of a restaurant. All 5 of us were extremely satisfied and loved every dish. We ordered the tuna tetaki and fried eggplant sticks for tapas which were both amazing. The ponzu sauce on the tuna tetaki was spectacular. I had the pasta with shrimp and tomato sauce and the pasta was cooked perfectly and the tomatoes were delicious. We also ordered the cheesecake, like Bavarois and chocolate bar for dessert and they were all so yummy! We wish we could have stayed longer so we could try more of the food! We also really appreciated feeling so welcomed as travelers who do not speak much Italian. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

We were wondering around Genoa at 9:45pm looking for a place that would still serve food at that time. Several places turned us down because they were full but the Bella Bu team went out of their way to find us a table and serve fantastic food. The restaurant has a very fresh vive, the food is delicious and they have very high quality food. Do try this place if you are around. Try the Pulpo! Do it! Oh and the Scallops. Enjoy!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a waiter in another bar as a great place to go for good food & excellent wine- and it did not disappoint! The wine was honestly phenomenal. Ask for the one in this photo if you like a dry but somehow flavoursome white that surprises you with every sip (my other half had far more fancy ways of describing it but I’m not quite the connoisseur he is!). And the food was brilliant too, the pasta especially was lovely. Really recommend. We were disappointed we only found it on our last night but have recommended it to family heading to genova in a few weeks already!

Gorgeous setting with lovely ambiance. Service was fantastic and very helpful translating menu to English and providing a special meal for our son. The food was amazing. I had the tapas for one, my husband has the gnocchi and my son pasta with cheese. Followed up by the best cheesecake we have ever had and fruit sorbet. Highly recommended!

Sono stato un paio di volte a mangiare al Bella Bu e in generale è stata una buona esperienza. Alcuni piatti come le costine e il roast beef sono molto buoni, altri come lo stinco e l'anatra potevano essere meglio. L'ambiente è molto bello e il servizio giovane e simpatico. La nota dolente è il prezzo, essendo alto ci si aspetta una certo livello dei piatti che non è totalmente rispettato, per lo meno non in tutti.

Abbiamo condiviso vari piatti (totale 4) uno fuori menù (crocchette di pesce) più due cocktail. Molto carino l'ambiente!

Bel locale nei vicoli, siamo andati incuriositi dalla possibiità di poter cenare con le tapas -come descritto dal sito- e da alcuni vini interessanti presenti in carta. Arrivati al locale abbiamo notato che le tapas non costavano più attorno ai 3/5 euro ma attorno ai 10, salendo: sono diventate antipasti. Abbiamo cambiato strategia, il menu non è molto ampio ma abbastanza vario. La carta dei vini non rispecchia il sito però è abbastanza varia e di qualità, anche se manca la scelta dei vini da fine pasto al bicchiere: solo uno in degustazione è pochino. Dopo che ci è stato offerto un vino ossidato -piacevole ma troppo sapido per l'abbinamento col formaggio a fine pasto- abbiamo ripiegato su due gin. Ogni dose stata pagata 12 euro, bottiglie da 70cl che si trovano a 45-50 euro in rete... Il cibo è buono, il servizio naif ma gentile. Ci sono stati offerti gli amari finali, non richiesti ma graditi. Inoltre, parlando di vino e di vitigni, ci è stata offerta una degustazione del vino del quale si parlava. Perchè si: personale non sempre preparato ma disponibile e a proprio modo gentile, locale pulito, cercando nel menu si trovano alcuni piatti interessanti, cibo cuciato bene. Perchè no: non ci sono tapas ma antipasti, il menù internet non è coerente con le proposte effettive del locale. Menù scarso di proposte con molte cose mancanti, è difficile pasteggiare a pesce o a carne potendo scegliere più di una voce.Prezzi da locale stellato senza la corrispondente qualità, ricarico sui vini troppo alto.

Siamo stati qui tre settimane fa circa. Abbiamo mangiato due primi molto buoni. Purtroppo ci avevano posizionato nella sala d'ingresso che aveva costantemente la porta aperta (facevano servizio anche fuori) ed era freddo (la signora nel tavolo accanto al mio è stata sempre con il cappotto). Questo ha reso la cena un'esperienza non piacevole. Servizio lento.

Esperienza deludente e prezzo ingiustificato Abbiamo pagato 50 € a persona per un menu che, purtroppo, non li vale assolutamente. L’antipasto aveva un assortimento limitato, il primo piatto era mediocre e il dolce nulla di memorabile. Nel complesso, la proposta è completamente fuori mercato rispetto a quanto offerto. A queste cifre ci si aspetta ben altro, sia in termini di quantità che di qualità. Non torneremo
